Avis sur Mugs Ale House Brooklyn
Mugs Ale House is a must-visit for beer lovers, especially for their outstanding perfectly poured Guinness—with a rich, smooth flavor. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the experience. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by for a pint! Highly recommended!
A nice little dive on Bedford Avenue. A separate bar and separate restaurant but food or drink can be carried across. All the usual beers and spirits are available. Food is adequate. The atmosphere is dark and woody. Good place.
Go-to bar in Williamsburg. They quickly earned my patronage for their attention to detail with regard to a correctly poured Guinness. Consistently a serviceable pint (see photo). Their in-house kitchen serves classic bar style fare done well. It's an easy self-ordering process from your phone and arrives quickly. Most importantly, there's always friendly staff behind the bar, which creates a real "Cheers" neighborhoody feel. Will be back soon!
Loved this cozy pub in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The decorations were nice and I got a kick out of their bar phone which is an old fashioned Public Phone. The bartender Audrey was very nice. The vibe is laid back. They reopened recently, so they don't have food yet but you're allowed to bring in outside food. The space is ample and they have T.V.'s. The music on the day I went was punk rock but it wasn't loud. They have a great Happy Hour but even without getting the well drinks, included in Happy Hour, the prices are great, especially for Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. I'm looking forward to visiting again.
The burgers are very good. The fries are fresh and hot, the mozzarella sticks are crunchy and cheezy, and the vibe is cool. Very nice place. The bartender is the best
They pour a mean Guinness. Friendly fellas behind the bar and some funky tunes you wouldn’t normally hear in an ale house
Great bar, great staff. Pulled up on su day and got to sit in the very sunny window looking out onto Bedford. The Irish coffee was a life saver. Great place to grab a brew watch some sports and hang with the locals.
Wonderful tavern with Gluten-free BEER options!! They don't serve food, but allow people to bring in food. We brought GF pizza from Vinnie's. The bartenders are the best!!
Great neighborhood bar. Want to watch sports? TV’s all over and a massive screen in the back room. For Williamsburg locals, this is Mugs under new management. The original closed during the pandemic (I think). The new owners also run the 11th Street Bar in the East Village (another great spot) and Mugs has a similar vibe. All around the bartenders are really welcoming. There’s what feels like a B&T crowd weekends, which is par for Bedford, but plenty of space that it’s easy for locals to avoid whatever’s going on with that. They do not serve food at the time I’m writing this. Edit: A well- designed backyard has opened. It’s expanded capacity by ~15-20% when the weather’s nice. Open till 10:00. Another reason to recommend Mugs.
A true pint, the games are on, and a window to read by? Sign me up. Food is great, quick, and reasonably priced. Favorite reading spot
Beautiful bar inside that either is from early 1900s or does a good job replicating it. Hidden screens turn on for special events, which was pretty cool.
Good bar with an attentive staff. Went during Knicks playoff game, it was packed and service was still quick.

My fiancée and I had to find a venue to host our engagement party in a short period of time and Mugs saved the day! Everyone on their team was super helpful and were an absolute pleasure to work with. They arranged for us to have the back room all to ourselves and even set us up with our own bartender back there, so all our guests could get drinks easily. The food from Rick and Pete's was also very tasty and our guests really enjoyed it. Their event pricing was very reasonable and the space itself was cozy and laid back. If you're thinking of just grabbing a beer in the hood or planning a large event, I'd definitely recommend Mugs!
Reserved some tables for a large group over Halloween weekend and could not have had a better experience. All of the staff were so accommodating in helping us reserve our tables & made the whole experience that much more fun & easy. 10/10 all around, loved Mugs before but love even more now!

Really lovely pub perfect for a cold, wintry day. It's super warm & inviting inside, great list of beers & good cocktails (which I always find a nice bonus from a pub), lovely bar staff and lots of space. I went on a lazy Thursday afternoon and the vibe was cosy and chatty. I'd definitely go again.
Good after work pub on my way home. A good place for a quick bite and a drink!

Food was fast and efficient. There is no wait staff so you order from your phone and a food runner brings your food. You must get drinks from the bar. I could not finish my tap beer. The smell of the glass or the beer was not pleasant. The beer did not feel cold and was served in a room temp glass. Smell reminded me of nasty tap lines 🤢. The group of individuals smoking legal cannabis made getting out of the building for our group and an employee almost impossible because the entrance was blocked and the only thing you could smell was cheap low end cannabis. Not a local but it seemed to be a place the locals enjoyed

Went during weekday off hours so your experience may vary but I was served soggy, cold fries, they had terrible ranch and ketchup, and the wings were large but soggy and the chicken quality seemed sub-par. The buffalo sauce on them was the only thing that was ok. None of it was worth even two thirds of the price.

I walked into the restaurant looking for a good burger. Upon entering with my service animal I was told that the establishment is not perfect friendly and explained to them that it was a service animal. The bartender shrugged his shoulder and said it doesn't matter and I was refused service. He said the animal needed a service animal vest which is categorically incorrect. He then asked for paperwork which is a HIPPA violation. I was then berated by a patron who tried to grill me and nosed his way into something that was none of his business. I'll be taking my Business elsewhere and reporting this bar for an ADA violation.

The chilly burger was bland, they forgot every spice. It was also microwave food. The most ridiculous was catchup in the small plastic container and plastic utensils. Cheap, bad, tasteless. On 10.22.2025 it’s cold already, all windows were open and the fries got cold right away, ate my food shivering. But the food was very bad. For $28 on Bedford Ave, you need to do better. This was lowest of the low. Two days passed and I still cannot get over it that I paid on Bedford Ave for such crap $28. Two days later I’m still upset, even angry about this. I actually want my money back.
