Avis sur Lancers Burbank
Ordered the combination appetizer. Wow it was so big! I was expecting something smaller since you know you go to Chilis or something and its tiny. This was $20 and such a big serving. Wings were so good too. I enjoyed this meal. I couldn't finish it, so had some great left overs too.
The avocado toast was on full display when I walked in the front door. AMEN! Just look at the picture. It was too pretty to eat! Everything I wanted and more. Filling, healthy, and tasteful.
This place has survived through the decades, being a family oriented, casual great comfort food restaurant. In the past, I used to get lunch here with a friend, but recently had breakfast with Family and things here are still as they were. Great place to get breakfast for lunch or dinner, breakfast serve all day. If you know, Jack’s in Whittier, you know this place.
Probably some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had, I swear to you! They were extremely fluffy and delicious. I also had the turkey patty and you can tell it’s made in house, very good! Always make sure to thank the chefs, they can really whip some good breakfast here. Nice to see a diner still cranking during these times. Please support your local diners!
This place should be a 5 star. My wife and I come for breakfast mostly, the food and service are top par. (Our decision) we tip the waitress/waiter and also the floater that is constantly making sure you never run out of coffee or any other needs. Today we can for lunch and man was it the best. We brought our young kids and they loved it. We love the fresh food all the time, their prices are amazingly better than others, given this economy. Food is always well cooked and again FRESH. Our favorite place. We pay for awesome service, great food and clean environment. I would recommend the OPEN FACE STEAK SANDWICH 🤩🤩
A magical place. When I think of a proper American breakfast or an authentic meal, this is the spot. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every time we have friends or family visiting from Europe, we bring them here for a true local experience. The food is fantastic — hot and made with love. The staff is always friendly and kind. The bar is really nice too, and it’s a great place for families. Plenty of parking, and we love sitting at the counter watching the cooks work while they greet us with a smile.
We stumbled upon this little gem a couple years ago, now we make sure we go here at least once every time we’re in town. Great atmosphere, staff is friendly, food is amazing! Hounds down, one of my favorite breakfast places in Burbank to go to. I miss places like this. I look forward to coming back again. Keep up the good work.
We were suggested by our house host to try this place out, a classic American dining place. The decoration was just like the movies (btw I’m from Malaysia), a long breakfast table & those fluffy American dining sofa / so comfy! Majority of the dinners comes are elderly, I’m guessing this would be the all time best as the servers do know most of them by names.. there are families and friends gathering there too.. i was there early about 6pm on a Friday and there was no wait to get a table. I ordered the Prime ribs, medium rare (cooked perfectly as I like it) and it comes with 3 side to choose.. i took the fries (crispy on the outside and soft inside), a chicken tortilla soup(served with avocado too!) and a salad (the blue cheese dress is so good). Food was served quite fast.. OMG the food just hit the taste buds of mine! Everything tasted so good and no regrets! Nothing to be said but you JUST HAVE TO TRY IT YOURSELF!! Service was great and welcoming.. Highly recommended for anyone passing by the area.. and if i have time, I would try to drop by again for sure!
My wife and I try to have brunch here every weekend. The staff is amazing. They're so quick to get you seated and are so attentive, always refilling your drinks or getting you anything else you may need quickly. The food is also solid diner food with so many tasty options. It's become our tradition to eat here at least 4 times a month.
The food came out fresh and hot. It was all good. The 4 star was because the onion rings came out swimming in grease, but they are homemade and good, and the drinks are 4.00 dollars (ridiculous). Our server (Kay) was good but in a hurry at the end. They do a military discount. Will definitely go back.
□ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant wasn't bad with a nice greeting. If you decide to eat here... be warned that most of the booth seats are not plus-size friendly. We did NOT fit. I suggest going to the very back next to the restroom to be able to sit & dine comfortably. □SERVICE: If you are sitting at the back, expect to be served a little later since the table placement isn't in the view of the service staff. □FOOD: It was all good. Check their menu for the daily specials (I don't remember what Lancers called it). ▪︎Pork Chop & Hamburger Steak ( I don't remember the other 2 foods). ▪︎Baby-back Ribs w/ Baked Potato: Meat was the fall of the bone. Baked Potato was slightly bland with choices of sour cream & butter. Mixed veggies were edible, but I didn't like it. ▪︎DRINKS: Irish Coffee, Tequila Mule, Mimosa
The atmosphere reminds me of a mom and pop diner! And as someone who is from the south I was happy to find a place that gave that nostalgic feeling, and I had high hopes as the hostess was very kind and welcoming, but the waitress was so rude I asked to move from a booth to the counter seat. The new waiter wasn't much improvement as he only stopped by to take the order, give me food, and leave the check. No drink refills til he brought the check and I asked for it. The food looked good and came in large amounts but was dense and flavorless. I will say my poached eggs were cooked perfectly tho.
Went to check out this old gem in Burbank. The aesthetic was very classic American diner. It was like walking into a blast from the past. We ordered their specialty cocktails; Irish coffee and the White Russian. Personal preference the Irish coffee wasn’t my favorite but enjoyed the White Russian. We also had two double bloody Mary’s which were quite tasty. As for the food, the onion rings were fantastic! We ordered the fish and chips. Fish was quite tasty, mash potato’s were okay. Coleslaw was bland. We also order the ny 10oz steak and egg. I asked for medium and received the steak well done each time. I had already gotten full off the hash browns and eggs by the time my second refire of steak came. I’d like to note that it’s more of a 8oz steak. With the steak and eggs came a choice of toast or pancakes. I was disappointed I had to ask for the pancakes as I already had to have my steak refired twice. The server was a good sport I can tell he was disappointed in the whole steak issue. Once we paid he offered to have another steak made for me to go at the correct temperature. I really appreciated that. Well overall, great drinks, decent food, and overall good vibes. I would definitely come back.
Live in the area and had never actually been here so decided to go for brunch. We were seated very quickly and the food arrived FAST. I had a breakfast burrito, which was pretty good, but wasn’t blown away. The ambience inside was nice and the staff was friendly. All in the burrito was like $25, which was a bit steep, but I’d come back and try another meal.
Used to love it here.....I would give them 2.5 but since there isn't a half, I'm being generous at 3. The good things, old time style restaurant where you feel like you stepped back in time. Plenty of parking. Huge menu. Attentive staff. The negatives- food is not that great. French Dip was like cardboard, dry leather. The Au Jus didn't help because it was tasteless. Do not order your burger well done unless you want it so burnt you can't bite into it or cut it. Roasted chicken dinner was 3 small pieces. The wing was so over cooked and shriveled up, there was no meat on it. Flip side, fish and chips was the saving dish of the night. I would recommend that.
Stopped by on a Thursday. Asked about the specials which were advertised at 12.99. The waitress went over 3 options and I ordered the burrito ( which came with a side salad). Charge was over 20 bucks. When I asked her about it, her response was that the specials start at 12.99. I would argue, if I ask about the specials and you don't mention a price then what you advertise is the price. 20 dollars for a salty burrito is way over priced. My daughters burger looked good, but questions first because the service is pretty sorry. I regret leaving any tip.
Found on Google Maps, went to try them out.. wasn’t very impressed at all with the food. Service was fast and friendly, atmosphere was cute, but the food was very bland and the steak wasn’t nothing but fat and gristle! Terrible and disappointing.. the steak fries were good and the cream of chicken noodle soup was ok.. but the entrees were not a hit!! I picked out some unseasoned turkey to pack up in a to go container for my pup…
