There it was our first time there today and we really enjoyed it. My husband and I both had the bento box. They give you so much good food. We will definitely be coming back.
Hands down best sushi I have ever had. Tastes so fresh, lots of special rolls and packed with flavor.
Love this sushi place. I always come here for the "TGI Special Rolls". The rolls are HUGe and the sushi chefs are very generous with the raw fish! They have a huge selection so its easy to find a combo that you will like! My Favorite Rolls: Eric's Special, Peter's Special, Salmon Lovers, & Johnny Luv. The lunch and dinner bentos are great too. Very large portion sizes and a solid selection of items to customize your own bento box. I strongly prefer this location to the one on Saratoga Ave but it can get a bit crowded during peak times.
This is our go to place for sushi! It's on the smaller side but more than enough space to be comfortable. The food is consistentanly good and the staff is friendly.
Easy to say lots of people enjoy sushi, but out of all the places I have tried TGI Sushi is the best sushi and it is at a fare price. I gone with my family and some say it is to small for a big party (^5ppl) but I think it is fun. If you don't like it because it feels to crowded there is Super TGI Sushi. They have most of the same rolls with some new ones. If you like sushi go to TGI Sushi
My favorite sushi place when they were in Campbell. Still my favorite sushi place in San Jose. The fusion Nigiri is a special treat and everything in general is of great quality.
Excellent Sushi place. I'm a foodie and I know good food. This is definitely a great quality sushi. Prices very reasonable too for that quality. Fresh ingredients.
The service was excellent. The sushi was fresh and very good. Plenty of options to choose from and nice portions.
We go here regularly for lunch because it is reasonably priced and I always feel satisfied with what I get. Good, fast service and no argument about breaking up the bill on multiple cards.
Really liked this hole in the wall sushi joint. Great quality food for a reasonable price.. friendly staff. Overall 10 out of 10
Nice spot for sushi. My coworkers and I love coming here for lunch. Everything is priced really fair and the staff is very friendly.
A great dinner. Had the yose nabe seafood soup pot, and it was simple, filling, and had a wide variety of seafood in it (plus 1/2 a head of napa cabbage for all your veggies for the day). The staff was very nice, and I found myself just sitting there eating slowly and peacefully. I only had one small shitake sushi roll, but they have pages and pages of sushis in their menu. Really enjoyed it, and within walking distance of our hotel.
Feels like those tiny Japanese bars/restaurants (not that I would know I haven't been there just seen on TV) great service great food, fun atmosphere, chill little spot. Definitely a mood tho not a quiet spot more corner bar vibes.
The fish is so fresh! One of the best Tobiko Nigiri I've had. It's a small place and packs up quick on Friday and Saturday nights but open until 10pm! Great for lunch too :)
TGIS's is one of the FEW places in SJ that seems like they put care into their food & service. The art of hospitality & crafting meals has kind of been lost post-covid. But not here. It almost feels like you've been transported to the small streets of Shinjuku, Japan. The sushi chefs are working HARD & FAST without compromising the integrity of the dish. The fish tastes FRESH & the cuts are clean. The Wasabi isn't stale or grainy. The eel sauce is perfectly balanced with sweet & umami. I can go on forever. Do yourself a favor & come eat here. Bring your friends, your family, and your neighbors. This has to be San Jose's #1 sushi spot.
The service is always fast, fesh, and friendly. Every time my partner and I go in we try something new and we have yet to be disappointed. Eric's special roll is our favorite. The prices are fair and the environment is relaxed. One of our favorite spots for date nights.
Super small but sushi is sooo good and fresh as well as fast and friendly service, we got 3 orders of Nigiri, 6 classic rolls and one specialty roll and only paid 107
New favorite sushi spot. Friendly chefs, generous roll portions. And love love love the kpop videos. Very small place, though, so I don't recommend going when it is busy.
Nice to get back to the original TGI Sushi where it all began. Very pleasant dinner with the wife and daughter. The sashimi were cut thick and the rolls were almost too big but I like big portions.
Can't believe that I have FINALLY found my go-to sushi spot in Northern California! This place is incredible. Small, but incredible! Our dinner came with free miso soup, a salad, and edamame. That alone won me over, but wait, it gets better! We ordered the nigiri plate (chef's choice) to get a good sampling of their fish, and I swear, the sushi pieces here are 1 1/2 the size of a normal sushi piece. The cuts of fish were very generous and the quality was incredible. We loved it. In the end, we walked away with our favorites being the salmon, albacore and tuna. We decided to order another 2 pieces of salmon and to sample the gyoza which were delicious. By the end of all that, we were absolutely stuffed, but we cannot wait to come back. I'm looking forward to testing out some of their rolls, but I watched them come out to other tables and they looked spectacular. I'm already dreaming about my next trip here. Until then... :)
Great little place! Food is top notch. Great variety, generous portions, high quality. Pricing is high end of average for bay area sushi but definitely worth it!
Every time I go to TGI Sushi on Hamilton I am very pleased and satisfied. My favorite sushi spot. Geisha roll is the best for my palate! Quaint and friendly.
Great sushi, fresh and good sized. Lots of choices - bento box or a La carte. Bento boxes at lunch are a much better price with almost as much food as night time!
Okay the sushi was friggin' great! But let me tell you about the staff and just how kind and thoughtful they were. Customer service is beyond great, I come here for that alone.
Excellent food. Great attentive staff. This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in Campbell. If you use a debit card, make sure you let them know its a debit card and not a credit card.
I never leave internet reviews of restaurants on principle of working in the serving industry. Ever. But the level of service in this place is throughly impressive compared to the sushi joints I’m accustomed to in the Silicon Valley. Try the Gangnam-style Roll and the Rachel Roll with a large Asahi!
The food here is awesome. It is my new favorite sushi place. It's just pricey. I think my sushi and sashimi plate was like $33. They don't skimp on size. I was quite full when I left. As for atmosphere, they have a screen playing k-pop in the background which is just awesome.
Always delicious! I doordash all the time but eating at the restaurant is so much tastier. Thiey are not trying to be an authentic japanese experience - it's all about the rolls here. The fish is very fresh and the rolls are delicious and beautiful. Definitely one of the best sushi places in the bay area.
Little place, BEST sushi. Incredibly fresh. From classic to creative, everything we have tried is delicious!
This random out of the way sushi restaurant will blow your mind.....as well as taste buds and appetite. The chefs all greet every customer that comes in in they native tongue and in English, all while donning a smile. Entire staff is friendly and very courteous. Then there's the food. No matter what you order you will be satisfied as well as leaving plenty full. Great atmosphere as well.
We love the chirashi sushi there. Tiny restaurant so go early. Table for total aboút 26 plus a sushi bar that seats a few more. Friendly staff!
I ate here about 3 times now, 2 on the spot and one to go. i Forgot to leave a review before but even though the space is small, I'm sure it's one of the best sushi I've ever tasted, i tasted around 10 different rolls only 1 was not as good as the rest, I recently changed my phone so I don't have the photos but I will continue eating in that place
Amazing local sushi spot. Great food, great service. Acceptable prices. 10/10, will go again. Small dine in spot, but they are so quick with service it doesn't matter.
In my opinion, this is the best local sushi restaurant. My family and I come here frequently. Tonight, the service and food were both exceptional! Our orders were taken immediately, food came super fast, dirty plates were cleared the second we were finished with them (staff is amazing). Johnny Luv is my personal favorite, and their gyoza is to die for. We ❤️ TGI!!!
My personal favorite Sushi place in the West of San Jose, the Spicy Tuna Roll is one of my favorites. They also have the best soft shell crab around. We have gone to a few of the sushi places around this area & they didn't compare to the soft shell crab they have here, plus their sweet sauce pairs really well with it. You should definitely try this place.
Excellent food, great service by friendly staff. One of my family's favorite Sushi restaurants.
Another sushi place nearby closed so we tried TGI. We were not disappointed! Very fresh, very tasty. Miso soup, great start. Philly roll was great. Soft shell crab roll also delicious. Good service, fair prices. We will be back!
Always delicious. Always fast. Always attentive. They reopened and the quality is the same. I believe they have new items, like the Maverick that's smoky and reminiscent of a BBQ or fajita plate. Never a bad experience.
The place is tiny, but they are extremely efficient making take-out online orders. Portions are generous, fish is very fresh. I order from them regularly, and never seen the problems other reviewers mention, like getting the order wrong, second-rate salmon (I especially love their salmon!) or soggy rice.
The best sushi place in Campbell. Cool, fresh temperature fish crafted to perfection. We ordered maki, dragon roll, and a salmon lover. The salmon and dragon rolls centered on the freshness of the fish, not drenched in sauce. The maki roll, a large four piece, uses three fishes. For about seven dollars that filled my stomach and need for good food. Highly recommend!
My family and I have had some of our favorite sushi places have recently closed. I’m so happy that we found this place!!! The service was super friendly and the rolls were amazing!!! I also loved that it’s small and feels more intimate. I think my family and I have found our new sushi spot!
Been coming here for years. My old favorite was the baked scallop roll. My new favorite is the hamachi crudo and tartar. Last night I tried the sweet Suzy too and really enjoyed the sweet roll. They gave us all miso soup and a bowl of edemame to share. It’s a small place but we had no issues getting a table on a Tuesday. We did a lot of to go during Covid. Never had an issues with wrong orders and even got a free item once. The yellowtail crudo had nice thick cuts and so much flavor. Agedashi tofu was just ok. It’s pretty and they serve everything separate so you can put what you want in it. Not sure we would order it again. Not a cheap dinner for 4 but I always love coming here at a nice treat! Didn’t get photos of all the other rolls we got.
I love coming to TGI Sushi for a quick lunch bite! The service is always fast, and the sushi hits the spot every time. Their mango roll is to die for—I crave it constantly! Super fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. One of my go-to lunch spots for sure.
This is a nice Izakawa style place. The staff was friendly and the fish was very fresh. It can get a little tight inside due to the limited seating, but it is worth it!
I love this place. They are in the top 5 in my book, they treat everyone so well in fact I come for lunch here too. Let's enjoy and keep coming for their great food.
This restaurant is popular. We have been to this one some times over the years. Their staff are always friendly, food are always fresh and tasty. It is a small, cozy, and easy parking restaurant. I do recommend this restaurant 😊😊😊
Used to live closer to this location it but now we’ve been ordering from TGI via DoorDash. The quality is great and they have a lot special rolls offered! Rolls are packaged very well and is made in a timely manner.
Omg so bomb. I have just moved to the area and this was what I was looking for. It’s bomb and not like overly unkind to your bank. It’s great fish. Fresh. And a lot of add ons. They have all the classics and a lot of Asian fusion type of rolls. As well as a variety of choices in terms of fish, wasabi, nigiri, and sashimi.
I have dined in and enjoyed takeout from TGI's sushi many times, and they have never failed to impress. The freshness of their ingredients always shines through, making each bite a delightful experience. My husband and I are regular customers, and we both appreciate the consistent quality and flavors offered by TGI's sushi. One highlight for me is the Honeymoon roll - it's my ultimate favorite! The combination of flavors and textures in this roll never fails to satisfy my sushi cravings. Whether dining in or getting takeout, TGI's sushi has become our go-to spot for delicious, fresh sushi. If you're looking for a sushi place that delivers on taste, quality, and variety, TGI's sushi is definitely worth a try. You won't be disappointed!
Delicious! I used to come here 5-6 years ago all the time and these guys didn’t miss a beat. Chriashi plus unagi lover roll is the way to keep the protein levels up!!
My favorite place for sushi! It’s a tiny cozy spot that makes you feel far away. The staff is always friendly and the food fresh and incredible! The yellowtail crudo makes me melt into happiness
Great sushi, complimentary miso soup and edamame. Normal Asian restaurant service. Rolls were pretty delicious, a little pricey. Order lion king, dragon and spider. Will be back if we’re in the area and they’re open.

Came here to eat some sushi and just relax after a night of drinking. The customer service was awesome, Everyone was wonderful, and the sushi was delicious.
I just ordered the Sushi Combo Special with a spicy California roll from DoorDash. Delivery was fast (and no delivery charge) and came with soup and salad! Everything was amazing and delish from the miso soup to the great choices of nigiri!! Will definitely be ordering this again!
Love this place! Super helpful staff, they had us seated quickly. The sushi rolls were amazing and came out quickly.
My favorite local sushi spot. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious. I also think the price of sushi here is very fair compared to the area

It has really good sushi for the price. I mean, it's still sushi-like pricing but it's a nice little place to eat good sushi. Problem is it's small and crowded, and not the nicest restaurant in the world. But it's a hole in the wall worth trying!
This is definitely the T.G.I. Friday's of Sushi! The food is great, the customer service is great! I very much miss their other location, however, which had more space and more atmosphere.
Always love this place. Have been going to this place for ten yrs now and always been good food. Portions are big and really fresh sushi.
Small and cozy sushi restaurant that has a huge selection of unique and creative rolls. Due to it's small size, this is probably not the best place for large groups unless you make a reservation ahead of time.
Cozy restaurant with great food. The sushi was very fresh and menu a great choices. The staff was very friendly and seemed to have quite a few regulars. The parking lot can be crowded and cramped. We dined in but many people were picking up to go orders. The bento was packed full. The prices were very reasonable.
Rolls here are great! Little pricey for what it is, but definitely worth. I recommend the: -geisha roll (kind of spicy!) -sweet Suzy roll (my favorite roll here, comes with crushed macadamia nuts on top and Japanese mayo drizzled on top) Other rolls: -Hannah roll was okay, kind of normal tasting with lots of eel sauce -flying duck just had a ton of tempura, not sure if it was worth Service here is generally pretty nice, but they definitely rush you if you come near closing which was kind of rude so come before 9:30 if you want to eat!
We ordered the sushi/sashimi plater and a dragon roll. Sashimis were fresh but the rice seemed a bit stale. Overall experience was good. Staff is friendly and your order comes out quickly. However, due to the tight space, expect to sit closely to other guests.
There's almost no waiting to be seated on weekdays, though on weekends, especially in the evenings, there can be a pretty long line. The sushi is fresh, with a wide variety, and is prepared on front of you. The complimentary miso soup is appetizing and the bill is pretty average for shusi, 1 person being around $20 to $30.
Really large portions for the price! Pretty good quality sushi. Their nigiri are a lot larger than most sushi restaurants which I really like. The rolls all taste great and are full of saucy goodness. Bento boxes are consistently good. They have a lot of add-ons to choose from. This location is a lot smaller than the one on Saratoga, but service is quicker and more accommodating.
My favorite casual sushi spot in the south bay by far. Every piece of piece was super fresh, loved the flavors of the specialty rolls. I love how crispy they do make their eel. I got a handroll to cap the night off and I was thrilled. I know the saucy rolls are my fault, but a tinge less sauce!
So glad they are reopened. Placed order online for pick up. Food was ready as notified. Decent portions and pretty good food for their Benton box. Good variety of fish for their chirashi, but the fish slices are shrinking too (blame the inflation)
This very small sushi bar is pretty good. Went for lunch and had a bento box which was delicious. Although I didn’t try any sushi the rolls that went out looked amazing. Would strongly recommend for the food, but the service was definitely lacking. Had to ask the waitress over and over for water.
Really cool small sushi spot in Campbell! Staff are very attentive and cheery and offer great service! They have a TV, but it plays Korean K-Pop music videos. Food is a bit pricey, but it comes with enough to fill most people up and even have some leftovers. Parking is a bit scarce though and so is the seating. They have a few tables that they can join for large groups, but don't expect to have easy seating for groups of 10 and above.
The cuts on the sashimi dinner were decently sized. The Mr. Netscreen roll was pretty good. I like how they provide complementary miso soup when you sit down. On a slightly down note, the bowl of rice that came with the sashimi dinner was dry. And the salad was unremarkable. Service was prompt and attentive.
Seems to be a good spot for sushi. The interior dining area is quite small, but we were able to get a table for five of us. They definitely seem to have a lot of uber and take-out orders, the group of chefs they had were constantly busy. It did take a while for our food to come after we ordered and the young girl waiting on us was not particularly friendly. The food was really nicely presented. Overall, we liked the food we ordered. I would add that the spicy tuna rolls were not particularly spicy and the wasabi was not as hot as I like but that's my personal preference. I will likely come back to try more of the food items. I think it's a solid spot. Oh, parking was a bit cramped ... Update. Been back a few times for take out, pretty solid spot!👍🏼
Had really fresh big rolls. A couple of the negatives were that the place was a very small and they squeeze you in. We sat next to this mom and daughter and I pretty much felt like we were all having dinner together. It was pretty awkward. but the roles were very good, they had a very big variety of specialty rolls, the prices were very competitive. The service was good, they had a lot of waiters and waitresses waiting around and serving people. the place looks a little sketchy on the outside but the decor on the inside is pretty nice, really clean and good food. I've never had a lion king roll that was sweet, I really liked that. They also had a lot of rolls with unagi on them, which is my favorite.
Great price and freshly prepared sushi rolls. The place like hole in the wall but my kids always preferred this place. My kids loved the Bento box here.
Don’t be fooled by the sketchy exterior. This place is great. The sushi rolls were delicious, and the service was spectacular. The pollo loco roll is not as good as it sounds on paper, but all the rolls were well made. I’ve definitely decided this is my new go to neighborhood sushi spot.

Stopped by for lunch with my friend a few weeks ago. We were seated promptly at the counter next to the chef. I ordered my typical Philly roll and Shiitake mushroom roll. The Philly roll was pretty good, although the thickness of rice was a bit excessive, something that you would see in supermarket-made rolls. The Shiitake mushroom roll was as bland as a roll could be and rather small (on the picture, you see 2 Shiitake mushroom rolls, 6 pieces each). We left full, but not really satisfied. Service was ok, but did not make us feel overly welcomed, sort of a factory-type "come and go" atmosphere.
It was okay. They do sit everyone very close together, so if you are into personal space not being invaded, this is not a place for you. The 2 rolls we had, were alright. The fish on one of our rolls was not the freshest. It wasn't terrible, or bad. It just could have been better.
The waitress so confused and don't speak English. I don't understand them????
Great food but at least one of the tables by the door is really gross, even when you try and clean it, it's still sticky. They need to scrub off the crusty residue that's on it, or start using a tablecloth. Every time I come here and get that table, it's like that. Yuck!

this whole in the wall sushi joint can get a little crowded, seeing that there aren't many seats to begin with. the food is good and they have some creative rolls. it's not my go to sushi joint, but decent if i have a craving and this one is the closest in vicinity.
Food is good. The service is not so, I left no tip and the waitress chased me out into the parking lot to say I forgot a tip. Once pressured I gave a two dollar tip. She said is that all? And said next time 10% okay? A tip is not a tip if it's mandatory and I'm not subsidizing your workers salary. Never spending my money there again.
Not like it used to be years ago....rolls are way too big (too much rice)… fish didn't feel as fresh. Just not one of my go to places anymore...and I have them a few chances I'm the past year.
We've been coming here for years, but recently we got super sick from one of our orders from here. I would say avoid ordering before they close because their fish might not be fresh anymore by that time.
Sushi is good. Service is terrible. I want to like this place because the owner is so nice but he needs to replace his staff women waitresses I come on several different occasions and they have always been rude to say the least.
Worst experience and food ever! Never I have ever been so disappointed in a sushi place ever ! I wouldn’t even call it a sushi place! Should have gone to the trash can instead would’ve had better food.
This was the most disappointing, flavorless sushi that I've had in many years. The slices of tuna had no flavor whatsoever, the fried roll was soggy, and the gyoza tasted like they came from a frozen bag.
#service #dine-in Extremely cavalier with customer service much like most hole in the wall, Korean run, sushi shop. If you have more than 6 people in your group, don't go here, they won't seat you. We had 7 and even though we called ahead and wasn't told otherwise, after waiting 25mins with no other people waiting in front of us, they refused to seat us. There were empty tables that could fit us. We even suggested we split to two group of 3. Flat out no for no reason. Of course the old lady that came out (they wouldn't let us come side the restaurant to talk) and told us off was curt and unapologetic. Told us to go somewhere else.
If you guys close at 9pm why do you stop seating earlier? I get there a quarter till 9pm lots of people are in the dining room, I'm a fast eater and wasn't gonna keep them long. anyways the girl up front lies to me and tells me the kitchen closes at 8:30 as I'm walking out a server tells me I can order to go only. Which is it is the kitchen closed? Or is it only to go? If the girl would have said after 8:30 we only do take out i probably would have ordered take out but why lie? Anyways you guys should get that cleared up cause why advertise closing at 9 if you won't sit people that get there before then.
New place close to me, so I wanted to try them. Portions are pretty big, much bigger than most place; but unfortunately the quality isn't there. The rice is much much too soggy. The salmon tasted 2nd rate. The waitress while nice got our order wrong. I asked for lemonade, and was given some melon drink. When asked the 2nd time, she said lemonade isn't available. 2nd item wrong was an order for a Dragon roll; but instead we got a rainbow roll. I didn't even dare to ask for the right one on that. Needless to say, I'm not going back.
I've been going to TGI Sushi for approx. 10 years and normally they have good service and food, tonight however, between GrubHub and TGI Sushi themselves I had a horrible experience. GrubHub claims TGI Sushi cancelled my order and TGI Sushi claims GrubHub cancelled the order. Despite this I went ahead and ordered directly from the restaurant and since I had to go pick up my order I requested an additional dish. When I got to the restaurant they tried charging me GrubHub prices and when I got home I discovered the food they gave me was the order that got cancelled and had been sitting there for almost an hour. They should have recooked my order rather than giving me cold soggy food. Need to say the least I am Very displeased tonight and will not order take out from either the restaurant or GrubHub for this establishment ever again.
I dont understand how this place has good reviews. This is actually the worse sushi I've ever eaten. Grocery store is better than this. Hard rice Uneven cuts Dry crab mix Gamy and underflavored chicken teriyaki Lion king could not hold shape Salmon was chewy
Have been here for over 10 years. First time getting the wrong to go order. Since I only noted the mistake when I went home, I called to let the restaurant know they gave me the wrong roll. Yet, they insisted I ordered the wrong item. But I saw the receipt listing my items correctly before I pay. Lesson learn, always check if the to go is what you order before leaving the restaurant! Very disappointing experience.
Ok food but TERRIBLE service!!!!! I went to pick up our dinner. The lady (who is not tall) was very rude, very very rude. I tried to not leave a bad review cuz I don’t want to hurt anybody’s job. But it is too hard to ignore her terrible behavior. NEVER COME BACK.
