every old Pollo Loco I have gone to accept one the one off of DeSoto, have been excellent the food is terrific the one-off DeSoto shouldn't even call themselves El Pollo the food there is terrible, I found out that they operate under a franchise so that one that's our off DeSoto is not part of the franchise they are an independent unit that may be why there food at taste so different.
I highly reccomend eating at this restaurant! The workers were very friendly and polite. I did not experience a peoblem during my visit, and my order was made very quickly! Again, I highly suggest visiting this restaurant!

Ok. It was the pollo bowl that made me give it 5 stars. 2 chicken bowls with beans and rice. Then add 2 drinks and flour tortillas for $11 including taxes and you have the best healthy deal. Actually went inside to order. The whole process took 15 minutes in the middle of a pandemic while they are also doing drive thru orders. Very impressed with customer service and cleanliness

We were watching our grandson for a few days and we were going to give him a treat of whatever he wanted for dinner on the last night. What did he ask for? He asked for crazy chicken. When is six year old says I could have anything to eat and I want crazy chicken that is a rave review. As always the food was incredible. It is always hot and tasty. And I think as a whole El Pollo Loco does the drive-thru window better than just about anybody. We love El Pollo Loco and will continue to visit their locations in Southern California and Beyond.
I eat out every day, and I am here to tell you that not all Pollo locos are the same. They all vary in quality & taste from location to location, this one is my favorite location, i always get service with a smile, great taste & great size serving. Super highly recommended!!!
One of the more consistently good EPLs in the Valley. Best prices, too. I'll pay nearly $2 less for entrees here than in other parts of the Valley. I always get the chicken black bean bowl. Nice staff.
The guy at the front on free burrito day at 1pm on April 3rd was so nice and got me through the line quickly and nicely. He even gave me a bag of chips ! Thank you guyssss!! So sweet ❤️
Pretty nice restaurant with really healthy food options. As a passionate member of the human race, it is detrimental to have access to nutritious, delicious, yet affordable food, and this restaurant serves exactly that! Not to mention the outstanding customer service, and comfortable atmosphere of this rest. Kept quite clean compared to other food places I have previously visited. Even the music they play as I am eating is quite enjoyable.
I'm in love with Pollo Loco. I visit many location's and they always make delicious food. My whole family enjoys their fire roasted chicken and mac and cheese and corn. Their rice, beans, nachos and tostada's are very good too 👍 I also love their app which rewards me with $5 towards my next purchase after I buy $50 worth of food. Who doesn't appreciate that 😁

It's El Poll Loco, people. Ok, maybe it's not everyone's favorite. However, it is good. The Birra Hard Shell Tacos 🌮 are 🔥, let's just say, I'll be returning very soon for more.......possibly today. I wish they offered them as a separate item on the menu, as of now; they come in a box order of 2 and chips for $8.99. Somewhat pricey for 2, yet, again, they are fire!
Out of all the El Pollo Locos I have visited, this one is the best. Very clean, great customer service, food is always moist, not dry, large side portions, the salsa bar is always fresh and the area clean. You cannot go wrong eating at this restaurant. Besides, it's very healthy
If you don't ask then your chicken could be over done which makes it dry. So before ordering I always ask if they have chicken that is golden? That makes it so much more juicy! They also take EBT
Best pollo loco ever. This place has great tasting, fresh food. Never old or dry. Fresh salsa bar. Very clean and the employees are very helpful, nice and always have a smile. This pollo loco atmosphere, employees and extremely great tasting food is the only place I go. You will totally love and will come back again. I also like their new app. Discounts and free food

I went inside to order the meal for 2 (4 pieces of chicken, 4 tortillas, 2 churros, 2 salads, 2 sides) on a Monday night through the kiosk. I was able to log in through the app on my phone. I even scanned a coupon. The interface was easy to use without a cashier. The food came out timely, and tasted delicious. The place seems to have improved quite a bit recently.
You have to place your order with thier new system. Some times is a bit confusing 😕

Pretty decent I ordered a shrimp and chicken tostada or double tostada. I guess it’s called. It was literally delicious. I am surprised because I was skeptical about the shrimps at El Pollo Loco but let me tell you they were incredibly crunchy fresh spicy and delicious. I totally recommend this plate.
Pollo Loco is my fast, healthy place to stop by during the week if I know I won't have time to cook. The only downside side to it is that on some locations, they take a while to take out your order. This last time, it was more than 15 minutes. I am patient if they are busy, I completely understand because I used to work at one. This doesn't mean I will stop going to Pollo Loco it just means that I have to stick to the good locations.
Great food. A little hard to get extra sauce though. I wish they would let us get our own, otherwise they charge you if you ask for more
The food was good, but the dinning room needs attention!!! Dirty tables and floor. Plus homeless people in and out of the place. Next time drive thru only.
Mac and cheese was pretty good. When trying to order sounded like they were dropping pots and pans in the back ground, she kept asking me to speak louder but it was their noise.
I've had mixed experiences when it comes to this location, but I still come back. Friendly service on my last time there. They even double checked my order for the first time. Was very pleased with it.
I like El Pollo Loco. My biggest issue with them is if you get the Chicken individual pieces it is so over cooked and dried out it is tasteless and like eating wood. I don't enjoy the bowls and other things because I don't care onion and everything they serve has onion. My husband likes alot of their other options.
Food is very good, I like the new dos locos salads, I can get two meals out of it. But I'm disappointed about this location inside hours. I once came to go inside at 10:50 am.the door was locked. The next week I came at 8: 15 in the evening and the inside area was locked as well. I'm not crazy about the drive-through service I prefer ordering inside. You never know when they're going to be open or not to walk inside. The posted hours say that they're open.
The chicken was very good. Hence 4 stars. Food is excellent. I ordered takeout online. I showed up exactly when I was told food would be ready and had to wait 20 minutes. People who just walked up to the counter got their food before me. As I was waiting for my order sitting inside the restaurant two people approached me and asked for money. A few of them who appeared to be homeless were loitering outside. I would not bring my family to sit and eat inside for that reason. Takeout is ok however as the food never disappoints. Staff is polite.
Service was quick but they were expectedly busy since it was lunch. IT was emptybinside but the drive-thru was bustling so it was all hands on deck. I got in and out with a quick and simple order in about 15 minutes which gave me plenty of time to get home with a remote job. Overall, good experience.
Well I liked the food until I got pregnant now the smell haunts me. As far as the food good its fine but the workers have messed up my order on several occasions I specifically ask for no pico de gallo and I still get it. Im tired of complaining about it. Overall the place is clean though. The bathrooms are okay.

Ordered a double chicken tostada bowl and the meal was very skimpy very small portion lacked lettuce rice and beans I felt as I did not get my money’s worth and I sucks because I love pollo loco 🥺
Good food but the place is usually busy and it takes a while to get your order. Only a few parking spaces at the front of the building, which most of the time are taken- other wise one must park further out and walk around the t-mobile store. Drive-thru might save a little time but it is still not fast. 3 stars due to time consumption.
I never write reviews. I'm too busy for it and hate putting negative vibes out there. However, I've been going to this EPL for years, almost daily at one point. The service has gone from decent to worse. In the last year every single time I have gone through the drive-thru my order is messed up. Of course I never figure it out until I'm home. Whether it is a missing side, short a taco or worse something. Last night I ordered shrimp tacos as we never cook seafood in the house and I had a craving. The ordered was repeated twice and was correct. I got home and my tacos were all chicken. This location is so disappointing and EPL is one of my fave fast food choices. They need to step up their game. Over it.
This Pollo Loco is fairly small inside and has an awkward parking lot that has limited spaces. The drive thru is nearly always packed and the wait time is not the fastest. At night, it can be downright slow. Service is better than it used to be, but they can be brusque. The food generally is good, however the chicken can be dry and overdone when ordering individual pieces.
The food was good I ordered 3 $5 3 tacos. They had no sodas (machine was down) and one entree the tortillas for the tacos were cut up had to eat it with a fork.
Customer service was great app/system had a glitch and they solved the problem. Only thing could be better is the kitchen, tostada tasted stale and looked refried, and my overstuffed quesadilla was way too salty.
Food is delicious; I am always down for Pollo Loco!!! ...But the service... not so great. Parking in the location or using the drive thru is definitely a pain in the patella...No Bueno. Service level also not that great; although they try to provide good customer service I feel it doesn't really come as such... they try to rush you when ordering; sometimes the cashier is also doing something else or talking to the staff so they don't really pay attention to you. Cleanliness of the restaurant sitting area could certainly use some help too... everyone was so busy inside that did not see people cleaning or checking on the guests -maybe a good idea to staff more people. just my thoughts.
I love the food here (talking about fast food places) I ordered a salad and 14 pieces familia combo, and probably they thought I was going to eat it with my hands. I didn't get a single fork nor a spoon. And what can I say about napkins if i didn't get any single one. I got to my job site and we didn't have how to eat our food. What a disappointment.
This location is a victim of its own success. The lines were so long and the app was so inconvenient that it became nearly impossible for me to get my order in. I waited 25mins in line before deciding to leave, as I had to return to work. Not their fault, yet there's definitely a lot more that could be done (such as having an attendant with a tablet walking down the line, like other franchises already do).
The chicken breast was a bit dry. Got a quesadilla with added avocado, but requested it on the side. They added the avocado to the quesadilla and put it on the side. A simple instruction that was ignored.
My wife stopped by this El Pollo Loco to grab lunch so I asked for the Classic Pollo Bowl. I wanted it with no beans or onion but extra salsa. My wife got her regular chicken plate with beans and Mac and cheese. The portion they give at this location with the chicken wasn't that much. I got more chicken pieces at another El Pollo Loco location near my house. They also didn't put extra salsa in the bowl so I just used the salsa that came with my wife order. The bowl was okay but the rice I thought was overcooked. The price is really reasonable for the bowl.
Food was only just okay. At 6 o'clock the chicken for the salad was dried out and they failed to mention that the dressing is at the bottom. (who puts dressing on the bottom??) The new girl wasn't very knowledgeable enough about the menu items and didn't want to ask for help until I was clearly frustrated. Overall was not a very good experience.
They gave me the wrong order a $29 for two tacos in two pieces of chicken and two sides but I didn't order I order an 8 piece chicken only with two tacos then call them up and told me there's nothing they can do for me as I get the call for my girlfriend I don't need the house after I dropped off the food confused what happened it should at least offer me something maybe some flan. In which I understand because people are always trying to scam something but they showed no interest and told me it is well Buck off. I will give them an opportunity tomorrow see if they can even it out with three pieces of chicken in which they owe me six cuz that body Slams are two sides we'll see how it goes
Drive tru employees always have an attitude especially when you ask them for sauce . It's usually the person giving you the order . Its like 1 cup of guacamole sauce and 1 tomato one is not enough for an 18 piece . Other pollo locos will ask you how many you want and in here you ask them and they give you an attitude.
I've been going to this El Pollo Loco for several years and have always had an ok experience. Today I decided to go by after a long day at work and had one of the worst customer service experiences through the drive thru. If anyone is familiar with this location it's extremely loud due to high car volume passing through especially during traffic hour. While ordering I was having a hard time hearing something the person (Jahany was the name on the receipt) the girl with the pink hair on the intercom, so she decided to talk to me in a monotone voice. She was talking to me as if I was stupid. I didn't say anything because I didn't want any special ingredients in my families food. When I got to the window and she saw me she changed her tone to a normal one. When I go out to eat I expect good customer service, I'm the customer and I'm spending my money at your establishment when I have many other options. I'll be driving the extra mile or so to the one on DeSoto and Nordoff. To me customer service is key.
There weren't any ppl there, yet the order was all wrong. The pollo bowl was half empty, my salad was very small. They put what I didn't want in the orders and what I did want was left out. Go figure. I wont be going here again.
Warning! They will give you old dried up chicken. Different times I've gone, get home and open my container to find small dried out pieces of chicken, and i go during lunch or dinner. Some people are also very lazy there, and don't follow through with simple requests.
This location needs to be kept cleaner. The areas of the soft drinks and condiments are always a mess. And the dining tables always need to be cleaned. Trash cans are always too full. The food here is good and the staff is nice. The music selection could be quieter with a more middle of the road selection. Bathrooms are clean.
Ordered family meal, asked for plates, utensils, salsa and serrano peppers. For a $36 meal I only got salsa and nothing else. They even forgot to give me my credit card back . That's not the first time, so take your time and check everything. Mashed potato was dry (maybe taste too before you take off).
Arrived after take-out time. All staff was busy so I said I was just picking up a take-out order. Asked 3-4 times. Each time was told just a minute. Waited 10 minutes to get help. My take-out order had been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes. No one took the 30 seconds necessary to ask my name and give me my now cold food!! Awful customer service…and the chicken was dry! Won’t be back.
I had an issue today waiting in the drive thru for like six minutes while I waited for my drink that I never got. I had to pull around and just walk up and grab a cup and just take it myself from the front. There were also no employees out front to help either and they weren’t even busy.
Reason I’m posting regarding this location on Topanga & Roscoe is to show the lack in the customer service. I ordered thru DoorDash and unfortunately you can’t add an extra dressing on the app, don’t mind paying for it but it’s not available on the app, so I called asked them to add one as and they say the driver had to pay, why couldn’t they add it to my order? The girl that answered offered to speak to the mgr., I heard the manager telling her they couldn’t, manager wouldn’t even come to the phone, she definitely needs customer service classes and guidance on how to treat her customers, worse service ever!!
Today, I got bad service at Pollo Loco. Now this isn't the first time this happened. My chicken tostada was cracked, and they didn't add the ranch I asked for. I'm never coming to this Pollo Loco, ever again. Ugh.
The one on Topanga Blvd seems to service you food that is not what you ask for or not cooked right. Tonight I spent $ 50 dollars on food that was soggy and undercooked, I guess I'll have to find another one to go to.
Ordered 2 meals for 2 people and they put it all on one dine in plate even the sides (which normally come in individual cups) Didn't give dressing for salad and argued that only one tiny salsa per order--Have never experienced that in 20 years of eating Pollo Loco Also employee argued with me on fully vaccinated status even after showing my card because I got J&J which is only one shot and he said I needed 2 shots to dine in
Waited 30 mins for a double chicken bowl+extra creamy cilantro. I didn’t receive any creamy cilantro and the portion of chicken was very underwhelming. Not going back to this location again

I love El Pollo Loco. But this location is disgusting. Every inch of this place is in need of some serious deep cleaning. Including the restrooms which also have leaky toilets.
They messed up on an order and then gave me a half cooked churro only after they forgot to give it to me initially with the order. The center of the churro was still frozen.
Pulled in and was told they are out of chicken. Really!? El Pollo Loco, crazy chicken out of chicken. In LA??? And let the drive through fill up with cars and no way out. Next time turn out the lights and send someone outside to warn people
Came here recently with my family on December 4th went through the drive thru and female employee Elizabet charged my card for behind me when I told her of her mistake didn’t apologize anything she just looked dumbfounded I requested a manager regarding the situation since Elizabet couldn’t help us we told the manager about the service we received manager name is Karla literally the rudest manager Karla ended up requesting us to repay for order in correct amount then she would refund us the previous order (our order plus the order behind us we requested that she refund us the amount that we were over charged she refused she ended having a bunch of cars behind us honking because her employee made a mistake by not paying attention and overcharging our card the manager came up with the craziest situation by trying to make us pay again for the correct amount after we paid for our amount and the car behind us which is (overcharging us twice and a half ) she didn’t apologize for her employee didn’t try to refund us the full amount and give us our meals for free due to her employee mistake and wasting over 10 minutes of our time and the cars that were backed up in the drive thru time as well instead she argued with us trying to make us pay again which is unnecessary when we were overcharged she started acting pure evil ( smirking and laughing ) we ended up not getting our food due to her negative energy couldn’t believe she was the manager as she doesn’t operate as a manager she’s arguing with customers didn’t try to rectify the situation I wouldn’t recommend going to this location I went to the one on platt plaza and they seemed to be more friendly punctual and didn’t over charge us I feel like no customer should ever have to experience such poor customer service being over charged and laughed at by a restaurant manager
Ordered through Postmates but can’t really fault the delivery guy because he can’t check the drink or look on the bag due to Covid precautions. The restaurant should take more care to follow the customers request for drink option and salsa option. Both were incorrect. The chicken on the double chicken bowl was also very dry and could tell it was old pieces that they had cut up and the avocado was all brown and slimy. Unfortunate because I usually really enjoy el pollo loco. Not the first time this restaurant has prepared food poorly.
I ordered two small mashed potato and gravy. The buzzer alerted. I went to pickup. Waited and waited. I finally spoke up. I then received my food. I am very disappointed. Small order. Busy or not, I should have been served quickly. I waited with all the construction workers. Is that how to treat your customers!
Every single time I come to this location they always mess up my order. I was on my lunch break and they gave me mashed potatoes instead of Macaroni and cheese. I can’t go back because my lunch is over. Their service is terrible as well. This is the last time I come here.
I ordered food from this place. It was delivered by grub hub a few weeks back. They forgot the salsa and serrano peppers I asked for. I called the driver and the location. I saw the label on the bag and it was not marked for the driver to pick up salsa or serrano. I called this location and a they did is blame the driver. I called the number on the website and all I got was a small side as compensation. That just made me more angry! I hate eating chicken without salsa
Not that they care, but I wasted 30 minutes in a drive thru to tell me they don't have chicken for the night, 45 minutes before their closing time. A sign at the front would have save me 30 minutes of MY LIFE.
They are really slow at preparing the order, ot doesn't worth to wait 30 min in drive thru for 2 items. Pay more, hire more, earn more, it's simple.
I had a terrible experience here. I placed a catering order via the website days in advance of my son's birthday party. I included the $10 charge for delivery. I received an email confirmation. My order was supposed to be delivered at 2 pm. At 2:02 I called to ask if my order had left. The employee who answered the phone said there was no delivery person available. I said then someone should have called me in advance so I could get my food to the party by 2 pm. She said yes they should have. I asked to speak to the manager and got the same response. The manager said she would have the order delivered and took my credit card number over the phone. Since my party had already started I also sent my mother to pick it up in case it hadn't left the restaurant by the time she arrived. Not only had it not left but it wasn't even prepared yet. They nearly forgot to give her half of the order and an employee had to chase her down in the parking lot to give it to her. They didn't include any plates, napkins or cutlery in the order. They didn't include the salsa I requested. They did refund my $10 delivery fee but honestly I shouldn't have even had the food picked up because by the time it arrived to the house the video game truck had arrived and the kids didn't want to get off to eat. This place is terrible. My mother said it was filthy inside. The entire staff here needs serious retraining and the manager needs to be replaced.
The service was horrible we love El Pollo Loco however we will not be returning, we were given a bag with salsa that had burst all over all of the food with no napkins to clean said salsa and no utensils to eat our food then when I went inside and asked the staff to help rectify the situation and when I asked for utensils and napkins they took an attitude with me first inquiring "did you ask for utensils and napkins" A no I diddnt because I thought it would be commons sense to include them what am I supposed to eat my macaroni and mashed potatoes with MY HANDS and B. I wouldn't need the napkins (which honestly should have been included) if you guys didn't give me a bag of basically nasty green salsa soup which I DIDDNT ASK FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE 0 OUT OF 10 go to the one 1 mile away way better service.
My order was incomplete. When I called from work to get the issue resolved, the person who answered the call took my name and said they would replace my entire meal the next time I came in. The next time I was going to go there I figured I should call before just to confirm the offer would be honored. The man who answered this time told me there was no info left regarding this and wouldn't be honoring the promise. Very disappointing.
Would love to spend my money here but whenever I come by they have a hand-written sign on the door about how they closed up shop early. What's the point of posted hours if they don't stick to it? I feel like this is a reflection on management since they are either not around or don't care if their employees leave early. This has happened at least 3 times when I wanted to eat here. Don't waste your time since they don't care about customers or making money here.
Updating this review as of 2/5/24. They really don’t know how to cook food properly or anything. They served my food in a bag that was already ripped. And the chicken was raw again. Do you even train your employees to cook or do you just throw them in to fail? I ordered the fit bowl and chicken bowl and nothing was cooked.
Always forgets at least 1 item. There isn't even a point to go through the drive thru because you will end up having to go inside to fix the order. Double check your bags and recipt. I guess I just need to hold up the drive thru until I get my order correct.
Poor Customer Service. I've been dealing with Gift cards issues. The system got hacked. The customer service number isn't affiliated with Pollo Loco it's A third-party message system Company. Good luck getting a real human to help with concerns. This location manager is stressed out. They need to hire more staff. I was even shorted my change They didn't want to accept my rewards. My rewards were given to me to cover the Gift Card WHICH ISN'T the SAME protocol or rules. I want and need my Gift Card and my other rewards which I earned by being a LOYAL LONG TERM CUSTOMER! This isn't right. To treat anyone like POOP
IT IS JUST SAD for me to have to write this review i have been going here for the past 12years never had a problem loved the way things where especially a worker if i recall her name karla very respectful young lady any time there was an issue she was fast very helpful even on busy days because of her i kept coming but lately i have been going elsewhere sadly THIS PLACCE was not how it used to be a tried to talk to the manger fidel he did not help i complain for them giving me the wrong order and he was disrespectful about the fact i was complaining his eyes which was rude where was his manners?!?. CLEARY CANT DO HIS JOB very burnt rice, long wait, i would go here everyday after work since it was the closest to the school i work at i am very disappointed i asked were karla was they said she wasnt here at the moment all i have to say is i am deeply disappointed with there food at the moment hope to come in a couple of days to see if there is any improvement
Just now I ordered a food in the kiosk for carry out and when I opened the packet in home it's completely different. So I travelled back 10 mile up and down and informed them and they are treating it a normal thing. Not in a nanner tof apologize they treated me. Very bad customer experience
The service was poor. Lugden couldn't take my order. The self serve machines were down. One did not work the other didn't take the money. People do NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT.
This people are robbers, I just bought a chipotle burrito and I ask for cilantro dressing and they say I have to pay for that and I said ok and also told them to not give me the other salsas and they didn't give me the cilantro dressing and they did put the other salsas and plus the burrito had more air and beans than chicken it supposed to have guacamole and it didn't had anything just beans rice and a lot of air for real the worst. And they charge me 18 dollars because it supposed to be a combo but guess what they didn't give me the chips. Total robbery.
Went inside to order my food with a cashier, cause i wamted to ask for a special request Guy tells me to go through the drive thru FFS
All online sources list this location's hours as being open until 11PM. My friend drove over to get some take out while we worked late, arriving at the location at approximately 10:25, but well before 11. There was an employee (looked possibly like an assistant supervisor or shift leader) standing outside the main entrance to the dining room conversing with someone he seemed to know personally. When my friend attempted to enter the location the employee blocked his path and bluntly stated, "No, we're closed." My friend sought clarification given the location hours listed, but the employee just ignored him and pulled the door closed, shutting it right in his face. EXTREMELY UNNECESSARY RUDENESS! It should not be too much to expect the business hours to be listed correctly!
Ordered food through the app for in store pick up. App said to pick up at counter at 10:15pm. Doors are locked and staff is ignoring me. I live across the street and decided to walk instead of driving. Why does the app allow me to order food if the lobby is locked. Horrible!!
I love El Pollo loco which is why this was so sad. I ordered the double habanero chicken salad today. There was about a quarter cup of chicken the bowl was mostly rice and this thing was $15! Thank you for making me sad, hungry and angry all for the price of $15.😞
This place was one of my favorites to get grilled chicken and the best was the green salsa, very creamy and great taste chicken until yesterday.. I visited this restaurant to get some dinner for the family and all I got for my money was poor quality grilled chicken and some kind of watery green salsa🤢, not as flavored as it used to be . The chicken was really poor, the salsa was so liquid that seems to me that they didn’t have enough for the day and looked like they added water to assimilate it, the taste was awful 😣. The person taking orders was happy to take my order, she I requested for my family meal 15 green salsas, and she told me I’ll tell the servers to add them, after I paid all was good, at second window I grabbed my order and I noticed 4 red salsas, and 4 green salsas, I asked for the rest of salsas I requested, the employee said to me “sorry the salsa person is not here, we can just give you another 4 more”I said ok, when I finally arrived home, the chicken was poorly prepared, and salsas were really bad taste, I called the restaurant to let them know if they were aware of the situation, looks like they “didn’t even know about it”
