Cannot wait to come back. Everything we had was amazing. The Cuban sandwiches were fantastic, nachos were probably the best I've ever had. Also ordered the Cuban sampler and it was a great way to try a variety of options.
We were welcomed into the restaurant with a friendly server. The atmosphere was a great mix of Cuban beach and the Bodega wall was an inviting focal point. We ordered the sampler combo the empanada and the yuca fries were crispy and flavorful, the pork cubes were nicely seasoned and the dipping sauces added the perfect compliment to the dish. The ceviche was zesty and had a nice firm texture, the chifles were fresh, crunchy and perfectly salted. We ordered the appetizer plater and it was a great variety of flavors and textures. The Cuban sandwich and chifles were another delicious meal. My favorite dish was the pork with caramelized onions, the black beans and rice and the fried banana was a sweet side. We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. I highly recommend this place especially if you are looking for a flavorful food experience.
Great food, great atmosphere, good prices. Checks all boxes for us. We moved to the area in July and try a couple new restaurants every week. This one is near the top of our list. Really enjoyed the Cuban sandwich and Ropa Vieja. Give them a try.
We are not drinkers so not having liquor is not a problem for us, they do have wine and beer. The service is always very kind and attentive and they have the best palomilla steak I have had even in Miami. I need to try the oxtail and will report back after. The outside patio is always quiet and calm.
Very cool Cuban restaurant with awesome design that makes it feel like you’ve been transported to the Islands. The food is delicious and they have an average beer selection and some good cigar offerings. The place had “rum bar” in the title but we were told they don’t have a liquor license and only sold beer, which is a bit confusing. Still a great restaurant offering a unique cuisine option in the area.
Perfect afternoon lunch spot!! We grabbed a late lunch and a beer and enjoyed the beautiful weather in their outdoor seating area. The cuban sandwich was absolutely delicious and my friend annoyed his classic miami sandwich and my other friend enjoyed her fried plantain nachos! Good prices. The plantain chips were not super flavorful, though.
Growing up in Miami, Cuban food has a nostalgic feeling for me and this place delivered! We wanted to try as many places as possible in Chattanooga so we ate starters only but the menu looked absolutely delicious! The Guava Cheeseburger was pulling me in so I’ll have to get that next time. We had croquetas, beef empanadas and pan Cubano….so delicious! They have a signature sauce called Embargo 62 that was amazing with everything but was made for the empanadas. It has a little mustardy taste that worked perfectly again, with everything lol. The atmosphere is so fun! We went around 1 pm so it wasn’t crowded but that just made it better for me personally. I recommend this place for awesome Cuban food and will definitely come back!
Great spot for Cuban cuisine in the Scenic City! The atmosphere is great, with lots of photos and memorabilia from the Cuba of yesteryear. I recommend the sampler platter as an appetizer. You get all the great snacks on one plate- empanadas, croquetas, fried yucca (so crispy!), and these wonderful fried pork bites! The dipping sauces are amazing. They have a great Cuban sandwich and heartier staples like ropa vieja and lechon. Everything is great! You can’t go wrong.
Hubby and I came here for lunch today. Got there around 11:40 and were the only customers for a little while, (although the to-go orders were hopping) but were made to feel totally comfortable by our waitress. We ordered the empanadas to start since he needed a little more time to review the menu. They came out piping hot and the dipping sauces were wonderful. I had been before and was hoping for one of their great mojitos, but they only have beer currently. As usual my Camarones al ajillo (shrimp in white sauce) were delicious. He chose the ox tail and absolutely loved it. He doesn't often say much about food, but he said he could see himself having cravings for it- so that speaks for itself. Sweet plantains were cooked perfectly. Quiet today but service was absolutely top notch and Johan was attentive but not overbearing. We usually park about two blocks down in a pay to park lot and were able to pay for one hour parking (around $2.50).
This was my first time to eat at this establishment. The food was authentic, flavorful and quick to receive. My beef was cooked to perfection and the patacones were amazing. My wife had the chicken and it was moist while chared on the outside. The kids got the Cuban sampler with pork, plantains and empanadas. The meats were exceptional. The atmosphere was very remanesent of the Caribbean and the prices excellent. This is definitely a new favorite. I definitely recommend this place for couples and for group gatherings.
This place was so yummy. I definitely want to try their brunch next time. They had a sign in the bathroom advertising it with almost bottomless bikini mimosas, which sounds interesting. Our waiter was super friendly. I ordered the oxtail with congri (black beans mixed with rice) and sweet plantains. If you've never had oxtail your missing out. This was my first but definitely not my last. I hope they're all as good as this one was. The sauce was super good! I've had similar sauces on other Cuban food at other places but this was better. Will definitely be back.
The nachos are amazing. The chips are fried plantains. Sandwiches are fantastic as well

Wonderful restaurant that truly feels like you've been transported to Latin America! The flavors is perfect and you can tell it is wonderful even just from the flavor in their rice and beans! The decorations are vintage and transportative! In the summer it did feel pretty warm inside, but I imagine on a nice day it would be great to sit outside on the patio.
Fun taco stop in downtown Chattanooga! This great little Mexican spot has super unique decor that gives it a fun vibe as soon as you walk in. We stopped by as part of the downtown taco crawl and were seriously impressed—the tacos were amazing! There’s also a nice patio and a solid bar area. We’re already planning to come back for a full dinner soon. If you liked this review, hit like on one of our photos or give us a follow to keep up with the rest of our foodie adventures!
I'm from the Caribbean and I had been in Tennessee for a week so I needed a plate of food from my region. This is why I decided to stop here and certainly everything was very good. The food tasted very good and was very well prepared. The decor of the place was very much in keeping with a Caribbean bodega. The only area of opportunity is that they didn’t have cocktails.
We stopped by this spot for dinner while visiting from out of town and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were good. We ordered oxtails, Santiago pasta, and lechon. The meat was tender and very well seasoned. The beef empanadas were good too! Will definitely visit when we're in town again.
Update: Well, I came back for brunch and while the food is still delicious they do not serve any of the drink specials that they advertise. Kind of a bummer because it all sounded so good. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in chattanooga. This place was great! I got the cuban sampler because I wanted to try just about everything they had and boy was that a lot of food. The masitas de puerco fritas were delicious. They are crispy but not dry at all! Delicious empanada and that empanada sauce was so good! The yucca fries were on point and gotta love some ham croquettes. This was a delicious lunch. Nice local beer selection on tap and great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and try more food!
