We absolutely loved this place! Rita was amazing! ♥️ her service was excellent from the beginning she was very friendly and fulfilled our requests! She even surprised my daughter with a kiddie drink aka Shirley Temple! The sushi was wonderful and the drinks were bomb! You cannot beat there half off before 6pm Deal and 4-6pm HAPPY HOUR! the neighborhood is super cute and the patio is so pleasant to just sit outside and chill! We will be back for sure!

First stop here and will definitely be back! LOVED the scallop hot plate. Also really liked the ocean Sundae roll and dragon rolls. Our party also got a spicy tuna roll and a chicken teriyaki plate. The teriyaki sauce was delicious and was a big portion for just $18. Overall spent around $70 and was very pleased with taste and service!

Ordered a bunch of sushi for three people and we ate every single piece. It was really good! It was a Friday night and the restaurant was pretty busy but we enjoyed our table and service. A few days later I ended up ordering takeout which was also really good. All the rolls tasted very fresh with quality ingredients. I'm definitely a fan of Miku sushi! Check it out, I'm sure you'll love it.

I walked in at the most improbable time - 3pm in a Monday for lunch - and this place feeds me so well that I feel obligated to leave this review. The eel, tuna, and basic salmon rolls are all top notch with fresh fish, perfectly cooked sushi rice, and just the right combo of flavors. The waitress is also attentive even when I am literally the only person in the restaurant. Love it so much.

Excellent sushi selection! Everything we have at Miku is delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Miku Sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago in my opinion. This is one of my favorite places to eat: lunch special is really good here. Any sushi you order in Miku will be delicious! Great customer service as well!

What an ~amazing~ treat it was to eat at this wonderful establishment. I got the veggie godzilla along with avocado and sweet potato rolls. When I come back next time, I’ll be sure to add cream cheese to the avocado and sweet potato rolls. This restaurant is vegetarian friendly and I’m sure if you remove cream cheese from the veggie godzilla rolls, you will be just fine. I imagine during the busy hours you’ll need to make a reservation in advance. Don’t forget to go before 6pm, ;)!

One of my favorite spots for sushi. Garlic edamame is amazing and can personally vouch for the Spider roll. They also have great lunch deals.

Came here with friends on a Friday night. They were busy, so be sure to make a reservation. Sushi is half off from 4-6. They have drinks there or you can bring your own, but there is a $15 corkage fee per bottle. The sushi was very good and the prices were great!

One of my favorite sushi spots in the city. Such a great happy hour, martinis are actually really good and the sushi is fresh. They have a variety of rolls, you can get very basic ones as well as more complex. I’ve tried most of their Maki rolls and they all are flavorful. Love recommending this place to friends, the happy hour is truly unbeatable!

I love this place. Half off rolls and cocktails between 4 and 6, you can't beat the price. The food is great as well as the service.

Delicious and gently creative. Even though I’m into creativity, I’m not a fan of sushi that’s so wild you don’t recognize it. Here at Miku you’ll get fun rolls that still look like sushi and taste delicious! Fun atmosphere. And the half priced rolls really do exist!

Great place for sushi. Lots of variety and good happy our selection. Tried their oyster shooter and a couple of signature rolls. Overall, food was delicious and service was good. Not super crowded either.

One of the best spots for sushi/sushi happy hour in Lincoln Square. Lots of speciality rolls are half priced along with martinis! Their lunch specials are a really good deal too.

Great sushi spot with a great early dinner deal! I tried their samurai cocktail during happy hour (4-6 PM) and was really pleased with how sweet it was. The sushi is always tasty and very affordable when you order before 6 PM. If you are a fan of squid, the ika maki is really good. Service was also prompt and polite - overall one of our favorite spots for sushi in Lincoln Square.

My favorite sushi place in Chicago. The sushi combinations are so good. You can't go wrong with anything that you pick. They have half price sushi menu until 6pm which I love because it means I get to pig out on more sushi. The staff is super attentive and so friendly. They do have dividers up in between tables as well as other safety precautions. Highly recommend this place.

Great neighborhood spot, check out their happy hour deals. It's definitely one of my favorite spots. I went a little crazy on rolls and appetizers on my last trip and walked away with a second dinner.

I had the chef's choice lunch plate. It came with miso soup. I also got one of the skewers. Everything was great. The sushi was fresh. The skewer was perfectly cooked. The staff was nice and let me sit at a four sit table by the window even though I was by myself. It's right at Lincoln Square if it's not rainy, sitting outside would be cool.

I’ve been going to Miku for years, but I wasn’t able to visit during the pandemic. This was my first time back and Miku did not disappoint! My boyfriend tried a bunch of small hot plates, all were delicious. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen (yum!!!) and Smokey Bear Roll (mmm!!!). All the food was tasty and tender. Sushi was fresh. Their Tonkotsu broth is still some of the best I’ve ever tasted and it was top tier last night. Parking is a little tight in the area, but there is a lot across the street we usually use when we come visit. Highly recommend!!

Miku Sushi was a good sushi restaurant with high quality fish in unique preparations. The sushi was reasonably priced and the cocktail list was fun.

I have never had a bad experience here. Their sushi, atmosphere, staff, service, and specials are all great. I love coming here for 50% off maki rolls before 6pm. They also have lunch special deals as well. Their ramen is good too.

Delicious & super-fresh sushi! Loved the Veggie Godzilla & Dragon maki, plus the Shrimp Shumai appetizer. If you arrive early enough for the half-price happy hour, remember to tip generously! :‐)

Some of the best ramen in the city as well as having a world class sushi bar. The martinis are also delicious and half off during happy hour (4pm-6pm) Can't recommend this place enough.

The food is really good here! They're happy hour is amazing. All the martinis are $7, and they have about 14 rolls that are half price. Lots of parking and

Mikki sushi offers delicious food at affordable prices for sushi in Chicago. If you go before 6pm, a lot of the sushi is half off. They also accommodate for gluten free which can be hard to find at a sushi restaurant.

First rate Sushi spot Lincoln Square. Excellent prices especially the sushi rolls and happy hour drinks. Salmon is particularly fabulous last few times I was in. Service is excellent, clean and lovely.

The food here is great, but lacking in certain areas. We had the seafood ceviche to start, which was extremely sour and vinegary (and also pretty small portioned), but overall the seafood itself was wonderful. The tonkatsu ramen was phenomenal, the broth was rich and creamy, and the noodles were so delicious. My biggest complaint is that there wasn’t enough noodles; I was super hungry when I ordered and probably slurped all my noodles up in under a minute. I even had to order an extra portion of noodles to fulfill my appetite. I can’t quite put my finger on it but the poke bowl was just okay. It came well-proportioned, but the salmon and tuna felt a little warm and the entire bowl tasted a little under-seasoned.

Good food that comes with good service. I think my only gripe would be the noise level. It was so loud in there we could barely hear our own conversation we were having amongst ourselves. But other than that it was a nice culinary experience. Cheers!

Love this local place! I come here frequently by myself when I want a chill and tasty lunch. Their happy hour rolls are insanely well priced and super creative! Their outdoor dining is cozy and a great spot to people watch. I also enjoy sitting inside at the bar and watching the chefs do their magic. The staff is consistently friendly and they work really hard. Fortunate to have a stellar place like this in the neighborhood!

Enjoyed the sake flight, oyster shot and sashimi ume selection (sashimi pieces were huge!). I felt the sushi rolls weren’t anything to write home about — especially for the prices — but still solid. Service was decent, though we felt distinctly rushed as we chatted and finished our drinks beginning around 8:30 — they closed at 9:00 that night. I understand the employees are trying to get home, but the atmosphere wasn’t great. They even turned the lights brighter around that time :/ Also, parking was a nightmare. I should’ve known lol would recommend transit/walking if it’s available to you.

S
Shaan Somani

Enjoyed my meal here. The happy hour special was especially worth the value. I really enjoyed the alligator skewer and the Ebi Tango roll. The Robasutu roll was unique but not especially flavorful, mostly just filling. Service was a bit slow. I probably would continue to go if I lived in the area, but otherwise it isn't worth the trip if you live more downtown.

I only had a few pieces of nigiri from Miku and thought the sushi quality was just alright—the Suzuki did not taste very fresh, and the sushi rice all lacked the usual rice vinegar flavor and had a slightly firm texture. On the plus side, the dining vibe is very modern and inviting, and service is attentive.

J

Creative menu with a solid amount of options for people that can’t/don’t eat seafood. We got the avocado, veggie Godzilla, and California maki; spicy miso soup; and pork belly chips. The maki were okay, soup was good, and the pork belly chips in particular were amazing — perfectly battered, crispy, and went perfectly with the homemade spicy mayo. No complaints on service or time spent waiting for food. Prices on maki are way more worth it if you go before 6pm.

Went for a happy hour lunch. The outdoor and indoor vibe was great, but the staff felt somewhat unwelcoming, though this might be different for others. The rolls were okay, nothing special, and definitely not fancy. The fish and imitation crab were dry.

Reservations are easy to make and edit on their website. They sat us right away, upon arriving. Menu can be a little overwhelming at first, as it has a lot of items and the text is very small. The sushi and ramen I ordered for myself were alright. After tip, paid $46 for both. Service did not seem to like our table and they only checked on us a few times, after confirming we weren’t drinking alcohol. No smiles, no niceties. Even when we left, no one said “thank you” or “good bye.” I appreciate that they told us right away that they don’t split the check more than twice at each table. Seems like the best option would be to arrive before 6pm, when half the maki are half price. Ambiance and style are nice, but not a friendly place.

Pretty place. Service was fast. But unless you're here for the happy hour half-price menu (come before 6pm); it's not worth it. Much of the menu is overpriced and everything tasted only okay.

A
Ajimon Thomas

Before 6 pm, most things are half the price. I had the Spicy tuna ravioli and the Sushi Matsu Plate. Ive had better sushi elsewhere for less price. Also tried the Pink Panther Martini and didn’t like it. The tables are so close to each other that you have to listen to the people next to you (i was sitting at the the two seater table near the window).

Food was ok, prices decent. Service was exceptionally bad. Our server was sitting at the bar top eating, on her phone, impossible to flag down, our waters were only filled once. She also brought me the wrong dish twice but did put them on the house. Might have just been a bad night but it wasn't crowded at all, plenty of empty tables so I'm not sure why the service was so lacking. Won't return.

Really bummed that this place has gone downhill! Used to be a staple for me and recently going back this week after not having done so in quite some time, I was pretty bummed at the subpar food and even worse service. For the cost, the quality of the fish should be better! It just tasted semi-frozen and metallic. Our waitress was also either having the worst day in the world or she just hated her job because she refused to even greet us. She literally had to be flagged down because she would just sit in a booth on her phone during the service. When we were done with our first couple of small rolls, she just walked over and put the check down! I said “can I please order more?” And she just quickly said “what do you want.” It was just really odd and cold in general. Hope this place picks up the pace at what they used to be because it used to be lovely.

Beyond average sushi, but they have such a good rating on here. I felt the sushi was too saucy. We also tried to order a roll and they said they were out… how? Weird like cross it off the menu or share that up front. We came here on a Saturday at 6pm and had made a reservation online for 5 people. I don’t think we needed the reservation because there was plenty of seating. We got the shumai, fried pork skins, and three rolls. I also had a martini that was way too sweet and not worth it. It took a normal time to get all the food but it was all luke warm. They also do not have a kids menu.

I was so excited to try this spot and it was a huge disappointment! We had reservations for 815pm and we didn't get seated until 840ish (other folks were in this situation too, there was a long line). Then once we got seated we waited some more then finally they took our orders. The food came out fast. We ordered the skewers: alligator and squid (very delicious). The sushi was alright; not memorable. Better places in the city The ramen was pretty good!! Overall, it was a mediocre dining experience and it just started out stressful.

N
Nicholas Wagner

It's a cool place but the sushi is just par. The rice and ginger was very clearly old: they were dried out and tough. The wasabi in particular was so dried it was partially rock hard on the outer parts. It's not bad food per se, but it feels like leftovers at a premium price (post-happy hour prices). The salmon, however, was spectacular. I'd be willing to give it another try during happy hour, but it didn't leave a great impression.

The food was good, other times I have visited this place, today doesn't look fresh... But the service is horrible!!! My food was ready I can see my food from my table for more than 10 minutes the girls were " busy" doing other chores... We are the only table at the restaurant, the other left 10 minutes after we arrived, it is unacceptable there are two servers and none can be alert about the plates that are ready? Unfortunately it's not the first time this happens to me in this place, I use to like the food very much, definitely I never going back.

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered through uber eats and upon arrival the receipt had hair stapled to it. When I opened up my food, there was hair in the food as well. Not just a strand but several strands. I called the restaurant and Niki (is the name the woman gave me) said they would refund me as clearly the food was not edible. This was on Oct 11 and now it is Oct 16. I have not received a refund. I advise for you to not order from this place. My pictures show the proof of the disgusting encounter I had.

We have never been here before and pass it by every week so we decided to give it a shot. Before 6 the makis are half off so I thought hey let’s try 4. First the waitress had some kind of attitude towards us and no idea why. Maybe because we brought our kid? No idea. But we tried to ignore it and just enjoy dinner. We left a majority of it on the plates and paid our check and left. The quality of the fish was poor, the combinations were just disgusting. Some of the fish looked old and gray and I was scared to eat it. I would not eat here if you paid me. No idea how this place can be 4 stars on here. Even the wasabi looked old - almost like they reused whatever someone left… What a shame. All you are doing is paying for sitting in a patio in the summer in Lincoln. But so many better spots. Wish there was better sushi in the area. Not asking for anything fancy - just something I feel like I won’t get food poisoning from. Not worth it. Also every time we have walked by people sitting eating sushi it always looked bad. We also got a drink that was not mixed at all - it was just straight up vodka when it was supposed to be a lychee drink. Maybe this place was decent at some point but there is no reason for people to come here anymore. I’d rather order take out sushi (which I rarely would ever do) and eat it on the curb then eat here! Don’t go.

Decided to try this place since I was at an event hosted nearby. The place looks nice and the sushi itself LOOKS nice but that’s where the enjoyment abruptly ends. I ordered a ribeye skewer, California roll, spicy, tuna, roll, and a Rainbow roll. The sauce on skewer was salty but good however the meat quality was so bad that I had to spit out 3 of 6 pieces. But whatever…it’s Ribeye. The major disappointment was the sushi. The rice tasted like plastic, the fish was far from fresh. I love Sushi but I literally could not eat it. I really felt like my only option was to gently inform my server. She said, “the manager isn’t here and we don’t care.” I paid the check and left. There’s no way that anyone who knows what sushi should taste like can ok this place.

L
Lin Yong

Bad service. The waitress was too busy watching TV to pay attention to the customers. Our waitress mixed up our order and insisted she didn't. The waitress changed the trip amount to $10 extra.

Y
Yuly Rebollar

The sushi was very bland, the calamari’s were also very bland. The miso soup wasn’t good either over all below decent food. They do have good prices for happy hour and affordable sushi but generally not worth it, don’t recommend it.

D

The last 2 orders Benito Chicken teraki has been grilled and over charred/burnt flavor. Can't taste the teraki. Usually i dine in and I get perfectly tender Chicken. I Order for delivery and I get burnt Chicken. Hope this isn't a practice for delivery.
