At vibrant place to eat with friendly staff who are happy to help. The food is delicious and of a great quality. The desserts are outstanding.

We arranged to lunch with Ivy, Chichester on a rainy Saturday. The decor is immediately welcoming, sunny, and joyful and the atmosphere was vibratant and lively. We were sat on the outskirts of the atrium which was a perfect vantage point to watch the hustle and bustle of the lunch service. The restrooms match the restaurant's indulgent decor and the staff were friendly, happy, knowledgeable, and competent. We started with a bottle of Ivy's house champagne, which is a refreshingly crisp brut with a substantial body and a hint of lemon; it did not disappoint. We ordered from the 19.17 menu. For starters I absolutely recommend Ivy's rendition of duck liver pate that delightfully smooth and topped by fabulouly carmalized hazelnuts. (*rendition* reference is due to the lack of orange which is a common tragedy in traditional duck liver pate recipes. Ivy's rendition won my heart and the orange was SO not missed!). One friend had the calamari which had a lightly spicy asain-inspired kick and my other friend enjoyed the French onion soup. For mains, my friend and I decided on the forged wild mushroom linguine. The sauce was delicate and yet delightfully earthy thanks to the nod from the truffles; the rocket and toasted pine nut accompaniment was the perfect finishing touch. Our friend enjoyed the Shepard pie and was very pleased she opted for the side of seasonal veg, which, with Ivy's wine gravy, was the perfect finishing touch for the ensemble. After a couple of rounds of our favorite honey tequila, one friend enjoyed Ivy's chocolate bombe - vanilla ice cream atop a bed of an airy chocolate mousse, hidden under a chocolate-honey comb shell which dramatically melts away when the server pours the hot caramel sauce on it table side; I enjoyed a couple of scoops of mango sorbet. I definitely recommend a visit to the Ivy, Chichester and will be visiting again to delve deeper into the rest of the menu.

This restaurant was a great choice for lunch. Close to the cathedral and a few minutes walk from the main car park. Had the set menus, with some extra veggies. The duck salad was incredible and the stirloin steak was delicious. The cheese suffle was ok, but not recommend. It was noisy because many guests were loud, but is ok for a couple of people. Stayed at the bar and you could see how hard and increasingly well organised the barmen were working.

My mum and I had a wonderful cream tea. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive from the moment we arrived, making us feel very welcome. The ambience was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a special afternoon treat. The scones were fresh, the tea was delicious, and everything was beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a charming cream tea experience in a gorgeous setting.

One of the best restaurants I have been to so far. I am a fan of posh restaurants with good and different food. This was a gift reservation for my best friend and we had the best time. Most delicious scallops from around the area, the steak was perfectly cooked and the starters were yummy! The bill at the end was unexpectedly low in comparison with other restaurants with poor food quality. Amazing service and nice staff definitely will be returning for more meals! 🤍

I was taken to Ivy for birthday meal back in September . We all enjoyed the food , service very good staff excellent. We didn't realise service charge on bill and tip as well , maybe tell customer before hand . I usually have it removed and tip individuals . Will be coming back.

We made our first visit of the year to The Ivy Chichester last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday with six friends. As always, we were warmly greeted on arrival by a friendly receptionist who checked us in smoothly. The atmosphere was convivial and welcoming, just as we’ve come to expect. We were looked after by the lovely Beth and Connor, and our server was polite, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening. The food, as usual, was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. All in all, it was another great evening at The Ivy.

Very classy decor and ambiance, with impressive interior plants. The set menu fits the season. The service and the food were of very high quality. The "chocolate bomb" dessert was a real highlight. Good price for value ratio, highly recommend. Just discovered it is a chain, and am excited to try the others.

Hurry, go for the special steak night deals! Highly recommend the filets. Steak special includes one side, but special add-ons were only £5! We had drinks, side salads, our steaks with a double order of chips and an order of green beans AND two desserts from the special menu and came in at £101! For a splurge dinner for with all the trimmings - excellent value in a beautiful environment.

Was my first visit to the ivy with my parents for my pre birthday treat. The food was absolutely amazing So was the service provided by the staff. We were served by an amazing young lady called Eloise her attention to detail was 1st class she always had a smile on her face & made us feel very comfortable throughout our meal. An unforgettable afternoon, lovely family day out to one of the best restaurants in the UK. The food experience was fantastic, an absolute excellent customer service where even the toilets are reflecting the highest standards delivered within the industry. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teams looking after us so well. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Extremely attentive staff and nothing too much trouble. Extremely tasty food and the Christmas menu desserts were amazing. The pomegranate and spiced pear Bellini was delicious. My only complaint was that it wasn’t big enough 🤣. Cannot wait for my next visit

I came to the Ivy for a birthday meal with my family and had such an amazing time. On arrival the receptionist was really friendly and lovely with my kids. I think her name was Mita? The food was so good from the nibbles to the desert everything was perfect. The staff were really attentive and so friendly. Especially Harvey and Sophie who were looking after us. We are looking forward to coming back! Thank you so much!

We booked The Ivy Chichester Brasserie, for a Friday lunchtime, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was quite busy, so I'm glad I booked, but it gave it a good atmosphere, and combined with the ambience of the interior, it made for a lovely experience. We chose the two course menu at £19.17 a head, and we both chose the Duck Liver Parfait for starters, which I followed with the Shepherd's Pie, and my friend Sophie had the Smoked Haddock and Salmon Fishcake. We both thought all the dishes were excellent as was the service. We were enjoying our time there so much, that we decided to stay on and have a drink at the bar! I would also like to point out that as members of the trans community, we were made to feel very welcome, as has been the case with other branches of The Ivy that I have visited, and I very much look forward to returning to this inclusive establishment.

Our first time dining with you today, and as the foodies we are, we can’t believe we haven’t been before. We’ll definitely be back to work our way through the menu. All of the staff clearly work incredibly hard in such a beautiful restaurant, but we’d especially like to mention our waitress (I’m sure she said she’s employed for the Christmas season and also works for a cruise line). She is a real credit to your team. Thank you for the lovely lunch, we look forward to eating with you again soon.

Very lovely atmosphere, great staff and excellent food. I warmly recommend the Ivy for a special meal in Chichester, the food is excellent and the service is above what you normally get, the staff are friendly and helpful, knowledgeable and polite. The food we had this time was great, everything was well cooked with balanced flavour and excellent sauces. You really have to try their signature dessert, the chocolate bomb, which is really special

We had to bring my mums 40th wedding Anniversary forward as unfortunately we had bad news that means time for her is very limited. The staff are absolutely amazing and a huge Thankyou to our server Lorenzo. He indulged my step Dad's quirky chatter and there was absolutely nothing that was too much trouble. Food is absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection. Thankyou all for making my mums last wish to dine with you memorable. ❤️

We came here for the first time in ages and we were very happy that we did. We had drink at the bar before our booking and then sat at our table where we were looked after by Beth. I have to say we haven’t had such a good person to look after us in any restaurant for a while than Beth who was attentive, funny, clever and unobtrusive. The food and drink and service was all excellent and it made us wonder why we don’t visit here more often. Top marks to the Ivy Chichester and Beth and colleagues. 👏🏽

Went to brunch as a birthday treat and felt like a celebrity! Honestly, staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Especially recommend the special breakfast ham brioche with the tastiest ham I've ever had. The decor is fabulous too. And if you think it's too expensive, it really isn't. We had the ham brioche and unlimited tea included for a very reasonable price in such a classy venue

Had lunch with my daughter last Friday for my birthday - what a superb experience! First visit to the Ivy but not the last, I hope. From the lovely welcome at the reception desk to the food and the service, whole experience was amazing. Special shout out to our server Libby who was a joy from start to finish. Pure professionalism with a lovely demeanour- she’s a shining example of the ideal advertisement for your establishment.

I've visited this branch quite a few times and it's always been amazing! The food is the best in town, the steak in particular, and the service has always been excellent. Delicious cocktails! You can't beat the decor in there as well.

Very good. 3 of us had 3 courses. Fish, beef, burger, arricini, souffle and chicken were all cooked beautifully. Deserts of choc bomb, ice cream and rum baba all delicious. The service was excellent, the restaurant decor pleasant and the bill surprisingly small. Nice hubbub for a Monday evening.

Absolutely outstanding food and service was excellent, from welcome to being seated. Bar tender Connor was a joy with a smile to match!! If you want a beautiful afternoon lunch then you must visit the Ivy, my wife the Baroness Deborah said it was better than the Ivy London, and I must agree. Please book ahead as it's very busy. You will not be disappointed 10 **********. 👍 👍

Very lovely restaurant we visited in lovely Chichester. They offer good deals like their course meals. One thing i can highly recommend is the duck salad. Prices are not cheap but it’s fair with what quality and service you get. Staff were nice and friendly, the interior is amazing and cosy. Would recommend if you’re looking for a date night with someone or a place to celebrate.

Beautiful dining experience! We chanced upon The Ivy while in Chichester for the weekend and seeing the positive Google reviews, decided to give it a go. It was quite a busy (and rainy) day when we went, so perhaps that’s why service was on the slow side but everyone was always friendly and very welcoming. We found the prices and portions very reasonable, food was delicious and beautifully presented too. Definable a place to return to!

This was a wonderful place to celebrate our wedding anniversary!! As soon as we arrived, the service was amazing a lovely welcome. We sat at the bar for a drink and then was shown to a our table. The waitress immediately came and introduced herself and left us to perus the menu. Wow what can I say the food was beautiful presented and tasted great. We sat at our table for over 2 and a half hours and no pressure to leave. Well done and we will be back!!!

I visited The Ivy, Chichester on Sunday morning for breakfast and it was an amazing experience. I'd heard about poor service previously but the service we received was great from start to finish. I had Eggs Royale and yum 😋 it looked amazing and tasted delicious. In the great words of Arnie I'll be back ♥️. (edit) revisited for dinner and had the prawn and monkfish curry absolutely superb. 💯. Once again amazing customer service. Next on the agenda afternoon tea 👌. *** update we did come back this time for a birthday lunch and once again it was superb. Thank you Ivy 😊 💕

An excellent restaurant far above the usual standard of a chain. We visited early on a busy Saturday evening. The place was nearly full and buzzing. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was also very good and the menu well executed.

A lunch time visit was on the cards for my lovely wife and I, we've heard good things about this "eatery"so with a tad of excitement we entered the restaurant. With a very pleasant and professional welcome we were shown to our table. WELL..... Talk about stunning decor and 1930s style centre island cocktail bar looking around at all the paintings and attention to detail was not lost on us. Now the food, we both went for the slow-braised lamb & beef ragu and wide ribbon pasta served in a large bowl. When our meals arrived they looked delicious and I can confirm that it tasted delicious too. Dessert... Ditto again folks we both went for the same dessert but what a choice... It was a crispy Madagascan vanilla cloud with warm chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream and hot yuzu caramel sauce for me it was a sweet tooth dream, perfect dessert. Now for the service from the minute we walked in to our lovely waitress (sorry we can't remember her name) we were made to feel really important and very special people. I have to add that the "corridor" leading to the toilets has been decorated tastefully with wall lights and art work on entering the toilet I was greeted with a sparkling clean fresh smelling room. Would not hesitate to return for any special occasions.

Excellent lunch, as expected, here at the Ivy. Always attention to detail. Introduced to a new pale ale, Groggery, a local brew. Delicious food, well presented.

The Ivy is more than a restaurant, it's an experience. The staff were amazing from the moment you arrive. Very accommodating and friendly. The stunning decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is very chilled. I felt like I was at a boutique private lounge. Dress code is whatever you feel comfortable in. From baseball caps to suits. The food is so reasonably priced considering the quality. Very tasty and well presented. Would highly recommend eating here. I will definitely be returning!!

We try to get to an Ivy once a year and Chichester is quite close to us so we chose this one. The food, as we've experienced in the others, was beautiful, tasty and great portion sizes. The decor and atmosphere was lovely as was the service throughout the evening. I slipped and fell walking through the restaurant and staff came to check on me afterwards. Sporting a lovely bruise but otherwise unhurt.

Booked and visited for the Christmas Menu after passing by the place a few months earlier on a prior trip to Chichester and liking what we could see from the outside. Quick check-in and plenty of smiles and hellos from staff members as we were led to our table. The venue was much larger than we'd expected, bright, gorgeously decorated. The food we ordered was excellent, cooked and presented perfectly, and any concerns we had that service might be slow or prone to errors due to how full the Ivy was (though it still felt spacious) were unfounded; service was faultless and friendly. A great dining experience.

Went to the Ivy Chichester with a friend on Wednesday, very welcoming atmosphere from the reception team! We had a lovely 3 course meal from their taste of autumn menu. The French onion soup is incredible, wonderful and prompt service from our waiter Libby. I thoroughly enjoyed the snowman colada so would definitely recommend that from their festive drinks menu! Definitely by far one of the most prettiest Ivy’s! Thank you to the Ivy team for a great evening! :)

Been here a couple of times now and both were great. Food was excellent - shepherd's pie in particular. Decor is being. Afternoon tea is immense but they box up what you can't manage - which is fair play.

My friend Maria and had a great visit to the cathedral and Pallant House Gallery, but the icing on the cake was our late lunch in the Ivy and being looked after by Tristan. He recommended Sipsmith gin and tonics and a wonderful bottle of Vermentino. The food was excellent — tempura prawns, oak smoked salmon, steak tartare and shepherds pie. Faultless. And no messing about with a time slot on the table. We took our time and it was special. I have to confess to a glass of moscato to finish off. Heaven in a glass. Thanks Tristan and your colleagues

I came to the Ivy Chichester this morning with my daughter and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The waitresses were very polite and attentive and lovely to talk to and so were the rest of the staff. The food was amazingly done we had poached egg and avocado on toast and it was very good. Would definitely recommend the Ivy in Chichester as they take care of you very well.

Tastefully decorated for Christmas. A nice menu with lots of options for smaller plates or a smaller selection of larger meals. Seasonal drinks and cocktails on offer. The staff were exceptional, I didn't actually expect it from an 'outside London' branch, I was really surprised. In fact I was pleasantly surprised with how well it was all done as I've often thought The Ivy is expanding into other cities etc for the sake of it and that the same service and flair wouldn't be appropriately conveyed. Glad we came. Good choice, however, I wouldn't go as a couple, it's definitely a group affair and it's quite busy and noisy.

l

Was disappointed with the table selected for us, and would suggest anyone visiting the Ivy to be aware as it really spoilt our experience. We were sat on a table in between two other tables which were very close together - it was like we were altogether and their conversations could be heard and likewise ours! Also it was so near to the entrance door and on a cold night it was so cold with door constantly being opened - I had to go and get my coat to keep warm! Have been a few times to the Ivy and food is generally very good but I had the prawn cocktail this time and wouldn’t recommend- it was very bland and quite watery with little sauce. Blackened cod excellent as was the fish cake. Recommend cocktails at the bar before dinner.

A group of friends and I enjoyed a really lovely breakfast at the Ivy at Chichester. I had the full English breakfast which was super tasty. I was particularly pleased with the complimentary refill of my latte, and that the staff didn’t judge me for also having a Diet Coke! The restaurant was a stylish place to eat including a glass ceiling towards the rear of the restaurant which, when we visited, has a beautiful Christmas tree underneath it. The toilets were also clean, nicely decorated and smelled lovely, too.

Good food although some people say it is expensive you can get 2 courses under £20 which is very reasonable. Cocktails are delicious but a little expensive. Pleasant atmosphere and fab decor. However, the best bit was the waiter. Ollie. So attentive, professional and friendly.

V

The cocktail bar has a stylish and relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind in the evening. The interior is modern and well-designed, with comfortable seating and soft lighting. The cocktail menu is creative and offers a wide range of classic drinks as well as unique house specials. I tried a signature cocktail, and it was well-balanced, refreshing, and beautifully presented. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to recommend drinks based on personal taste. Service was smooth, although it was quite busy later in the evening. Prices were reasonable for the quality and experience. Overall, it’s a great cocktail bar with a lively vibe, excellent drinks, and professional staff. I would definitely recommend it for a night out.

A

A well presented examples of a restaurant in the decoration and standard that one should expect to see. Vast menu dishes were also a welcome site. The food was of a good standard and presented well. The wine was of varying prices so pay attention to what you are ordering. The service was nicely paced and didn’t feel that I was rushed at all. Overall, a good experience. Parking was a little difficult as the restaurant is in the high street but don’t let that put you off. Take time to walk and enjoy the summer!

Let's try the Ivy Chichester for new year's eve, ok, why not. Our experience is that it's consistently good so we should be safe on what is often a 'challenging' night out. It was great. As predicted the food was lovely with a strong mix of reliable favourites & the kitchen was spot on despite the restaurant being rammed. Arriving for our 9pm table meant it was probably their 3rd or 4th sitting, nevertheless it was just as we'd hoped. Friendly, warm, professional service from the crew especially Theo who seemed a calm presence on what was a very busy night, made our night run super-smooth. All topped off by a buzzing atmosphere we had a lovely time.

Updated: Following the response from the restaurant I emailed the manager as suggested on 27.12.2025 and am yet to receive a reply as at 10.01.2026 which is very disappointing 🙄 We visited the Chichester Ivy for the first time for the breakfast with elves experience. It was a lovely festive activity for family. The gifts were a lovely touch, this was the venues first time hosting this activity and unfortunately it showed. Staff were rushed of there feet and were clearly (and admitted to by our waiter) still getting used to the new menu etc. The wait time for drinks and food was long. The food was nice. Service not up to usual standards unfortunately. We asked if we were supposed to have plates with our pastries and was told by our waiter that it's easier for them if we don't have plates as makes cleaning up easier, it felt very strange eating flakey pastries without a plate! Our waiter also took our payment and asked us afterwards if we had an ivy loyalty card! He did then show us how to add the receipt to the scheme afterwards but this was a little unprofessional to ask after having taken our bill. I'm not sure I'd return to this venue after our experience today.
