Fortune Dumpling House

The food here is great. It's a blend of Hawaiian and Chinese, but they do both very well. The fried dumplings were a bit small but there were plenty of them, with great flavor even without the dipping sauce. The teriyaki beef plate was a great variation on the Hawaiian staple, including a pasta salad I was able to finish for once! My mom had The wonton soup and it was HUGE. The price was reasonable. Parking sucks but we got there when it wasn't busy, so no big deal there. Our servers seemed a little confused but everything got done and they were pleasant enough. My mom did say the soup needed more salt but that's a preference thing. My only complaint is that the music was too loud. Still, highly recommended!

The steamed and fried buns with condense milk was soft and moist. It can be eaten sweet by dipping it into the condense milk. Cost was 10.95 You can customize the hot pot. We ordered spicy seafood hot pot with spicy bone broth and udon noodles. It had the perfect level of spice. There was also mushrooms, shrimp, calamari, clam, tofu, lobster, and veggies. Size was large enough for 2-3 adult. Cost was 25.99. The noodle Sichuan style was also good. It had garlic and nutty taste and minced pork that looked like it was fried. The noodles are like ramen noodles but a little thicker and softer. The portion was Cost was 15.99. This place also has musubi and a keroki bar.

My fiance and I have been wanting to try out the food here for a bit. I was so happy when he surprised me with take out I ended up getting the tonkotsu ramen and sesame balls and my god the ramen almost had me in tears from how good it was, and I was rather surprised that it had what I assume was a tea egg? It was so good the broth was amazing and had a really relaxing taste. The sesame balls were as always delicious and a nice snack on the side. Would 100 percent recommend to friends.

This place is aesthetically pleasing to the eye when you first walk in. Food is incredible definitely worth checking this place out.

This place is amazing!!! The food was phenomenally delicious. Their Soup Dumplings and Potstickers are one of the best I've had. Their Chicken curry was good as well. Check them out asap!

Excellent service! Our food came in generous portions and was cooked perfectly. The restaurant feels clean and welcoming. The prices were fair. They serve a variety of Boba and teas, alcohol is not served here.

So many dumplings!!! Tried the: soup, shrimp, shao mai, and beef dumplings pared with some delicious green beans!! So tasty! Missing Drunken Dumpling and feeling grateful for Fortune Dumpling House! Looking forward to going back and having the hot pot!

I have been to eat here 4 times now. they only opened about a month ago and i’m obsessed. Every item i order is phenomenal and the service is outstanding. I had one waiter take my food back without me even asking because they noticed it looked slightly darker than normal and they wanted it to be perfect for me. My favorite is the BBQ chicken musubi it’s so cheap and so good.

We came in for Valentine’s Day dinner and were blown away! We ordered ramen, udon, and dumplings and everything was absolutely delicious and the prices are very affordable! The service was great, our server was very kind and attentive and one woman, who i believe is the owner, would check in on us and was so happy to hear we were enjoying our dinner. I recommend trying this place out and we will definitely be returning!

They were open on Christmas Day and the server managed several tables by himself. The food was good, the noodle soups were not as good but the rest including the green beans and chicken was good!

Jibei Chuan in Chico is a must-try—even if you’ve never had Asian-style noodles or hot pot before. Their ramen and udon are incredible, honestly on par with high-end spots in LA. I can even see this being a good spot for a birthday! Service was amazing, the staff is very attentive and our drinks were always filled up! Food was amazing also! Our new favorite ramen spot! We've been three times since they opened a couple of months ago, has yet to disappoint. Delicious, huuge portions, and tons of variety in the menu. Service is also on point. Bonus- they make their own soy sauce and it's amazing! Note: the two Chile pepper symbol is pretty spicy, we were feeling the heat, and we can handle it. I'd bet the three chile pepper level is pretty crazy.

The custard dumplings are delicious and we ordered the fairy honey grass that my daughter ordered looks colourful and whimsical and makes your dining experience fun for kids too and the adults have a colourful sensory experience. The server and staff were welcoming and sweet as can be. They even had a coupon available before 4/30. Very Happy experience.

I believe they are still doing their soft opening but everything I have had from the soup dumplings to about every meat the have to offer on their Hawaiian menu has been INCREDIBLE. The Mac salad? Are you kidding!? Here is their menu cause I haven’t found it online. Everyone who likes these types of foods should definitely check them out at least once and support a new growing business. 🥰 I’m sure I could do a better job of describing their how amazing their food is, but the least I can say is everyone I have sent here hasn’t been disappointed 💖

I got the chicken wings, soup dumplings, and shrimp dumplings. The wings seem to be the better deal of all of them. Crispy and full of MSG, just how I like them. The shrimp dumplings seem to be a shrimp paste, no large pieces that I noticed. The pork soup dumpling had a very odd flavor and texture. Almost like the pork was cooked to long, it was grainy and tasted like there may have been organ meat in there. I didn't finish them. Leaving a 5 star as the service and atmosphere were on point. They even have a dedicated karaoke stage to do karaoke with your lunch. Should be interesting!

I love Ji Bei Chuan!!! The ramen is so well priced at 15 dollars for being so gooood!! The menu rangers from 15 to 20 but mostly 15. The layout and decor are very nice and pretty! Theres a karaoke stage as well and plenty of parking in the back of the resturant. The only thing I would say is that sometimes there is no AC so its a bit warm. Overall love this place!

Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was very fast but a lot of reviews mention chicken katsu and I couldn't find it on the menu. I asked about it but they said they don't offer it and didn't elaborate further. Perhaps they did before their grand opening and only had it available during their soft opening just to see how people liked it. They did have fried chicken on the menu but that sort of evokes a specific idea to me and I don't think that would be the same thing. Also we encountered several ants on our table throughout the meal, the bathrooms were both very hot (seemed like there was no AC like there was at least somewhat in the rest of the building?), and the women's bathroom was very stinky as if it had zero ventilation.

Flavors are good but preparation was not authentic. Was very disappointed the hot pot did not have dipping sauce bar or choices.

second time going since the rebrand. sat in for lunch with one other person in the restaurant. Seated quick but then completely ignored for 20 minutes while one waitress was cleaning something behind the bar and the other one was just working on the front computer. Not until I stood up and started to leave did anyone even acknowledge me. I will not be returning when there are plenty of noodle shops around Chico that actually appreciates your patronage.

Was hoping for a nice outing with the family,, did not happen...worse ever. Katsu chicken looked freezer burnt and smooth texture. Chicken dumbling looked like a fetus inside. Left two entrees on the table and still forced to pay even after the complaints. Boba tea was good, according to my daughter, who refused to eat.. looked pre-made from another place, though. The family and I just walked across to Big Al's to actually eat something.

Waiter was super nice, but the food had absolutely no flavor. My ramen smelled like cat urine, and tasted like absolutely nothing. Soup dumplings were okay only with sauce that it came with. Overall will not be going back to this establishment. Very disappointed.

Doordashed this one time after new owners took over, awful bland food. Come to find out now they are closed due to severe vermin infestation. DO BETTER. I’m sick of restaurants in Chico not having proper pest control and feeling okay serving people food that may or may not have bugs in it. Shame on you guys for allowing many people to get sick or possibly get sick. It’s disgusting.

I have been here multiple times and it is usually amazing. We went in last night at 7:30 food took forever but that is ok. My father(different household) took us out for my birthday and we all got food poisoning so only overlap was dinner. Can limit it down to the shrimp dumplings or shumai because that was all my daughter ate.

Absolutely the worst restaurant in Chico. We came there on Friday night and all of our food came out at completely different times. My boyfriend waited for his main course for an entire hour. Our waitress was awful. She did not explain that some of the food was very spicy. I had to send my food back because I could not eat it. Their menu is confusing and it doesn't say what is a spicy or not, there is just a little chilly pepper that is small that you can barely see next to food items that are spicy I guess. We never saw our waitress after she dropped off water and took our order and gave us our appetizers. We had to beg for water and it was so hard to get someone's attention. This restaurant was being ran completely by children. There was not a single person over the age of 21 at that restaurant. What was so infuriating Was that a very young kid had passed by us as he was helping tables and we had told him what was going on, that the food was way too spicy that we needed some water that we would like to see our waitress, and we didn't know where she was but nothing happened. I even ordered a Boba and he came and told me that someone was working on it and then when we asked for our check after waiting for an entire hour and a half and still didn't get our main course we had received the bill and I asked him where my Boba was and he said did you put in an order for the Boba and I said yes I gave you the order and you even told me that someone was working on it right now! Something was extremely off about this kid. I asked him three times if we could talk to someone who spoke English or even where our waitress was because he just was not understanding whatsoever what it was we wanted. After me and my boyfriend working a long day, all we wanted was a nice dinner and unfortunately, it was a complete circus with the worst food that was too spicy to eat that no one had warned us about. Educate your customers on the menu and train your waitresses better. Even when I first ordered my food, and I was asking my waitress the one time I saw her questions. She got them all wrong, and the food was not what I thought it was because of the misinformation she me. Worst restaurant in Chico.

I went on a date there and the food looks appealing (at least what I got) but all the food tasted microwaved, and there were cockroaches and bugs everywhere. I'm writing this with food poisoning in my bed with a fever of 101. The music is country and so are some of the esthetics which I can forgive but not after everything else. All this happened yesterday to this post. Please avoid this place if you want to eat solid food. If you dont care, enjoy the bugs! 😁
