Stopped in for dinner with my wife and daughter — GREAT TACOS!! Don’t let the outside looks fool you, this is some great Mexican food. Salsa was on point too! Run by husband & wife team and you can tell the care put into the food. Definitely don’t pass this place up if you’re looking for some good grub!

Great food. Some of the best we've had. Chile relleno, tamales, enchiladas, chicken fried steak, guacamole, sauces are excellent. We're gonna try everything on the menu in due time.

This was our first trip to San Miguel but definitely not our last! We were craving Tex-Mex and the enchilada dinners and tacos were absolutely great! The friendly service was reminiscent of our many trips to Mexico!

I’ve had street tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas one 3 occasions. Great food. Ask for the “hot” salsa. They have the habanero and verde salsa. Both are hot and taste great. Luckily for me, it’s right down the road. Regardless, it’s worth the drive past other Mexican spots to give it a shot. The owners are great people and have a great memory for their customers.

For old-timers you might appreciate that it is reminiscent of the owner's father's original Barrera's a little further south on N. Main. I'm glad they've moved to our end of town. Enjoy!

I came to visit this restaurant for the first time, the service was great! Prices were reasonable. The waitress was very nice. The owners were nice as well. The food was very Good! I recommend if y’all are in town or come across. I hope it goes well for them!

Cheeseburger at this Tex-mex place is excellent and the fries are seasoned perfectly. The tortas are big and yummy and they come with a super spicy green and red salsa that is great for dipping fries in as well. Chicken fried steak and sandwich are crispy and light. Low key ambiance.

This is my favorite restaurant in the area. We dine-in or order take-out from here often. I haven't tried anything that wasn't delicious. The salsa is terrific, the owners and employees are wonderful. Last night I tried a fajita chicken chimichanga with sour cream sauce, and it might be my favorite dish yet. That sauce is so good, I want to work in the kitchen so I can learn how to make it! The Hamburguesa Mexicana is really, really good, but I only order it if I'm very hungry because it's big!

We had dinner here and we all loved our food. We tried the chicken fajitas, chicken & beef street tacos, tostada and quesadillas. No complaints all the way around! The queso wasn’t my favorite so I would skip it next time but the chips and salsa were great.

Had the steak fajita(beef on the menu) tacos & the meat was perfectly tender & seasoned. Wish they did breakfast but will definitely be back for more of the menu.

The fajita serving size was my main issue , the salsa tasted like beer, or it had gone bad, and the rice was watery and had no flavor. I paid about $18 for everything I was hoping for better quality and quantity.

Quaint restaurant, small parking area not a problem if you arrive early. Waitress was really friendly and attentive. Tacos had good flavor, however they were quite greasy. The chile relleno was horrible, had to send it back. Pepper didn't look fresh, brown spots on the flesh. The breading was mushy and overall unappealing. They were quick to replace the order with a different menu item. The "charro" beans were extremely subpar. Didn't taste fresh and there were small cut up hot dogs in them. There was no flavor or seasoning to them. Rice was okay but again lacked flavor.

Small restaurant, maybe 10 tables. There were only two other couples there and they were struggling to keep up. Two waitresses and one cook. The food wasn't bad, on par with other Mexican places in town. Good deals on daily specials. The only thing I would complain about is that I didn't hear any cooking going on in the kitchen (yes, you are within ear shot of the kitchen) and there was almost nobody there to eat, so I assume the food was already prepared? How long had it been sitting there? Also, to melt the cheese on the nachos and enchiladas they microwaved it instead of putting the food in the broiler. Which I feel is just lazy and sub par food prep.

Charged me double by mistake on a to go order. When i pointed it out they said they would fix it. They then called me back and said never mind and that soft tacos weren’t part of taco Tuesday this week. 😂

Was going in with high expectations, left with “I’m not going back” I had the guiso, which was 15.00, the meat was the size of small rocks, guiso is supposed to be Ike an 1 inch X 1 inch, these weren’t even close. Beans were from a can, rice was ok, tortillas were store bought. So if your thinking “authentic” it’s far from it. Hope they get WAY better, because they have a long way to go.

Went twice last weekend and it was closed. Would be best business practice to post closure whether temporary or permanent. Very disappointed. Why have online presence if not updated?
