Loved the pizza. Dough had the right chew for my liking. Pasta was fresh and tasty. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
*This review is for their take out service* The Bee Sting pizza is amazing!! It has tomato, soppressata, mozzarella, chili, honey, and basil. The honey with the chili is such an amazing food combo. I have never had such amazing pizza. The crust is thin and slightly burnt which I love! I made the bee sting vegetarian by ordering without the soppressata. The man working in the restaurant treated my boyfriend rude when he went to pick up the pizza. They were busy and I think he felt overwhelmed, but he definitely should've been more polite. Luckily the food was amazing which is why I gave it the 5 stars.
Upscale pizza . Had the bee sting and it transported me back to pandemic times new york city where I believe this chain started. The flavors and textures were perfectly balanced (fat salt heat sweet acid) and totally consistent with the first time i tried this exact menu item over 5 years ago. So Delicious. Service wise Ethan P was an outstanding server, very kind demeanor, attentive. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, nice outdoor patio, cozy. Very pricey pizza 30$ per person for a personal size pizza.
I loved my meal at Roberta’s. We had the stracciatella and the prosciutto, each of which came with a delicious, shareable portion and a giant fluffy bread, which is the signature dish here. It was extremely rich and so tasty that these two appetizers were as good as an entire meal at most Italian restaurants. I also recommend the cantaloupe spritzer for a refreshing drink that cuts through all the carbs and dairy.
Had a yummy quick bite at the bar, had a small pie with sausage and jalapeños to myself and nice margarita to go with it before prime time dining so it was slower and quieter perfect time to dine solo. Bartenders were super cool told me some places and sites to see during my stay in LA... Pizza was 8/10 highly recommend (I'm a New Yorker so yeah no one gets a 10/10 except home)
Pizza was awesome. The pizza Margherita was our favorite. Cocktails were fairly standard, nothing special there, but we'll be back for the pizza. Place gets packed and no chance of getting in as a walk in. Reservations only, so if you didn't plan ahead you're out of luck. We had to order food/drinks to go and eat it outside at some random spot in the platform. Not a bad option to do so, but I wish they made more effort to accommodate walk-ins. We also had the smashed cucumber salad. That was a miss. Tastes like a bunch of chopped pieces of pickles drowned in pickle juice. More than 1 bite gets to be a chore. Avoid that.
Honestly, I came to Roberta's thinking it couldn't live up to the hype. I was wrong. My partner is from a long Italian family with a long history of being disparaging towards thin crust pizza and Roberta's has changed his outlook. From the food to the service, we had a great experience We ordered a Bee Sting and a Famous Original. I was a wee bit worried that they'd be a little too similar, but was pleasantly surprised. The Famous Original is what a standard pizza ought to be. A little salty, a teensy bit of heat, and the caciocavallo is a great touch. The Bee Sting is what brought us there. The combination of the honey, chili, and soppressata was absolutely delicious. Definitely spicey, the first few bites are subtle and it builds up until you hit the meat. The service was great even the afternoon of Christmas Eve and the patio was just wonderful. The size of the pizzas is a great personal size, so order a couple and share around!
I thought, best pizza in LA! ...And then I realized this is a restaurant from New York 😂. Paper thin on the bottom with a soft pillowy crust on the edge. The sauce is perfect. We got the margherita pizza and just crushed it. The little gem lettuces salad is a good accompaniment: simple, crunchy, light. The cacio e pepe wasn’t the best I’ve had, but good nonetheless. Expect to wait a while for a seat on a weekend night, even for a late dinner. You can always grab drinks while you wait. Parking is pretty cheap in the parking structure at the platform. Come here, grab a slice, and then get dessert at Van Leeuwin or Boba Guys 😀
We love this place. Every fruit or vegetable dish we've tried has been incredible. And the pizzas! The sungold made my eyes roll back in my head, and then the beesting was somehow even better. And whatever drink I had with the raspberry almond will be my order again next time.
Great ambiance, low level music so as you can chat, we ate inside. DOG friendly yay. Super friendly servers. I love the cool vibe; some graffiti type art, groovy Tshirts (for sale) worn by staff. FOOD 😃 they offer some unusual options which is a refreshing change. Good size portions. We relished the signature bread that we shared, puffed up fluffy & yummy. I chose a mushroom pizza with pickled onion, I didn't love it but all the ingredients were tasty just turned out not for me. My friends all had good things to say about their meals. We had tasty fig dish. Meals are served as though to be shared... placed in the middle, wait-staff accurately memorize your order but if you are on a budget be clear, mentioning a dish can be an order. The beer I chose was delish - a nice wheat beer. Shame I only took one photo
Love Love Love Roberta's. My favorite location is in Culver City, but I've been to a handful of them. I typically order a few pizzas with my girlfriends because the pizzas are great for sharing. The cocktail menu is fantastic as well. Overall, it's a bit pricy so it's not a place I go to too often. Excited to go back again though!
I went for Happy Hour. The Famous Original pizza was slightly spicy but was excellent pizza for $24. The Green Lettuces turned out to be an excellent salad with all the crunchy texture. Really loved this item.
Roberta’s never disappoints! The pizza was absolutely amazing — perfectly crisp, flavorful, and worth every bite. We also started with the stracciatella appetizer, and it was just as incredible. Creamy, fresh, and so satisfying. Between the pizza and the apps, it’s clear Roberta’s knows how to deliver a standout dining experience. Can’t wait to go back!
We loved the wood fired pizza and the pastas but it was the American wagyu steaks and the vegetables that left us pleasantly surprised. The home made bread too is a must have starter even though it leaves you stuffed! We will be back!
It’s a hip atmosphere with great vibes all around, tasty food and drinks, and excellent service. Here were my standout items: -The fluffy dome-shaped bread and that butter my goodness -The Green Lettuces salad was so freakin delicious! The lettuce tasted so fresh, and the herbs along with the anchovy vinaigrette gave it a lot of flavor! -It was my first time trying their signature bee sting pizza and wow, it was something else! One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had! Who would have thought that honey and soppressata could be such a wicked combo? -The famous original was another solid pizza that I highly recommend! -Linguine with Santa Barbara uni. More so then the flavors of the pasta, I appreciated the texture. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly al dente. The entire staff that attended to us was so nice, chill, and accommodating! Outdoor seating is available with heaters.
First time in Culver City, and found this hidden gem right across the hotel. Loved the layout upon entering. The hostess was kind and directed me to the bar. Food came out in a timely manner. I tried their Bee Sting pizza and it did not disappoint, very flavorful. The bartender was respectful and the drinks were amazing! Highly recommend if looking for a relaxing spot to unwind, or even on a date night.
As you can see from the photos, my friends and I managed to finish off two pizzas and a salad at Roberta's in Culver City. I can't eat tomato sauce, but my friend assured me that the pizza was fabulous. The pizza I did have was inspired. The patio is a lovely place to eat. I also had a really good Bikini Bottom mocktail.
their pizzas definitely do not disappoint! but the salads were surprisingly great, with just as much thought put into the combos and flavors. terrific wine list to boot. i really like that it’s casual and friendly, and not overly crowded. it’s totally chill, as such a place should be
Two things I love about this place. 1) The ambience is perfect for date night. Not too fancy, not too casual. 2) Their margherita pizza. MY GOODNESS. Perfect thin crust, savory sauce, lovely bake all around. Only downside is the area requires you to pay for parking (in the building across, $2/hour? Unless you get lucky with street parking). As long as you make a reservation (I was able to one week ahead), everything should be smooth sailing.
Great dinner date spot. Great ambience - the platform is usually lively but not overly crowded. The heaters are particularly great for chilly nights and they’re always willing to adjust it. The house-made stracciatella with the domed bread and green lettuces are solid starters. The bee sting is sometimes off-menu but a really great alternative to their original, with a hint of honey and spice. We didn’t make reservations but managed to get a table outside pretty quickly on a weekend night.

One of the best meals of all time (and service to match). My wife and I are huge foodies and we’ve been to the usual Jon and Vinny’s, Uovo, etc. which are good but factory like and you get factory energy. We had the best server in Ethan who checked in with us the perfect amount and didn’t rush us which feels refreshing after past experiences in LA. He knew the menu inside out and the price was more than reasonable for the quality. In fact, we felt the Carbonora and Amatricana were the best in LA to date. We enjoyed it more than most of our meals in Italy… You must get the salad which was dressed perfectly (Gem) and unlike any in LA. Hope it never leaves - we just found the best gem in LA
I love Roberta’s! My favorite pizza is the domino effect, the garlic on it is to die for. The team is always so sweet. The outdoor patio is so charming and the heaters provide warmth and atmosphere. I’m definitely coming back again. 💖

I ordered a Margherita Pizza at Roberta's for take out. The marinara sauce is robust and flavorful - a good balance of sweet and salty. The cheese was generously spread. 4/5 The basil was not allocated evenly. 4/5 The highlight of the pizza was definitely the crust! Absolutely incredible if you love the oven-baked crispy crust! Crust 5/5
Ordered bee sting and margarita. They forgot to put the sopresata on the bee sting pizza. At that price that should not happen. There are no way to contact them because the number directs me to the Brooklyn location so I can't even complain to them, so I am left to leave a bad reviews as my only option to contact them. I think they might have given me the wrong order. Edit: went back and finally got the bee sting, it was delicious. I'm leaving a 4 star review because of price however.
A hidden pizza spot in Culver City. There is no free parking so keep that in mind. For two pizzas plus tip we paid $70. We both enjoyed our pizza but I can't say they're with a definite wow factor or that I would come back. So if you're not on a budget, definitely stop in here. The staff is super attentive and friendly. We did happen to come in when it was rather slow so I don't know how it'll be when it is busy.
Delicious food. Nice outdoor seating. Excellent service. We really enjoyed the olives, sunchokes in cashew cream and pizza. 1 Star off because they have very few vegetarian choices, and almost nothing vegan. This is a meat forward restaurant.
The stracciatella is DELICIOUS with the focaccia and the cocktails are really interesting! Nice atmosphere, food overall a bit too garlicky, and almost everything has chili flakes / chili oil.
We ordered the Bee Sting & Original pizzas. Honestly, the Bee Sting was one of the tastiest pizzas I've ever had, but I have to say that you can't easily it it with your hands- the dough near the center of the pie is somewhat floppy. Go in with a fork and knife though, the pizza is delicious. I also had the bucatini amatriciana, which was absolutely fabulous, as was the salad. All the food was great. I must also say, though, the cocktails were certainly a bit overpriced, with each cocktail being $14 for a relatively meager amount of drink. Don't get me wrong- the cocktails were tasty and creative, I just don't think they're worth the pricetag.

The house bread and pizzas were great - assuming both used the same dough which were flavorful with fantastic texture. It was quite disappointing when both pasta dishes (cacio e pepe and carbonara) were both overly salted and al dente. Saltiness was also the theme throughout other dishes (e.g. meatballs). Service was fantastic and the restaurant had a lovely mood for dinner. We dined as a group and it came to about $50 per person after tips/fees (no alcohol included) - which I think is a bit high for the food experience.

Maybe my friend over hyped it for us, but the food was just okay; not spectacular and not for the price point we paid. The homemade bread and butter were excellent, but it was also the first thing that came out and we were starving after waiting nearly 30 minutes for food so that assessment may not be 100% accurate. The staff were nice, but they appear understaffed as I saw our waiter assisting nearly the entire patio area, from taking drink orders to getting food orders to engaging with guests and bringing out the food and drinks. We went for dinner. Bring a jacket as it gets cold on the patio and the heaters only do so much, especially if you're waiting a long time for service and food. Also note that they are pet friendly. Great for animal lovers, but not ideal for anyone with allergies. We were seated and already placed our order before a party was seated near us with a large dog that sheds. The dog was very well behaved but combine the shedding with a windy night and our poor allergic friend had a miserable dinner.
I heard great things about this place, so I wanted to try it. Place was fairly empty when I came in, and most of the staff was sitting down and having a meeting. I sat at the bar, and it took a while before anybody walked over to ask if I needed any assistance. I ordered their Crispy Glover pizza, which definitely tasted like a New York style pizza, but I don't think it's worth the cost of what you get. The taste was good, tho. I also ordered a bourbon cocktail, which wasn't bad. It wasn't amazing, but it went down the hatch. The ambiance is nice, but overall, I'd give this place a 3.5
Every time I am in town I think about making it to Roberta’s to try the prosciutto that I’ve heard so much about. Finally made that happen and it was by far the BEST prosciutto I’ve had! The house bread was a great surprise; as was their take on a Caesar. But things went down hill for me once the Cacio e Pepe arrived. The portion was extremely small. I inquired and was told that their pasta dishes are “on the smaller side” and that this was the portion - 5 oz. wt. $22 For 5 oz.? No. And this was the least expensive pasta entree. I was offered $5.00 off my meal, which ended up being less than 5% of my check. And here’s the worst part. The flavor was amazing, but the pasta was not cooked enough. I fully understand al dente - this was undercooked. Like, stick-to-your-teeth undercooked. So, overall, a just ok experience for me. I would probably return for the Salumi, a signature cocktail, and the ambiance/service.
NY-transplant known for pizza located at the Platform. Came here with no reservation on a Tuesday around 7pm and we were lucky to snag a table for two. I’d recommend making a reservation online beforehand to save yourself the wait. Indoor and outdoor dining with heaters are available. Use the restrooms underneath Margot, they don’t have their own. Paid garage parking or metered street parking available. Credit cards accepted. The food is tasty, but the service is exceedingly slow. I understand that places everywhere are short-staffed, but no one came to our table after we were seated for 30 minutes. At the end of the meal, we had to get up to flag our waiter to ask for the bill. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they were nice, but all the employees were decidedly uninterested in any semblance of customer service. On the bright side, the bee sting pizza is tasty and a nice combination of salty/sweet. The pasta serving size is pretty small but rich. The stracciatella is a great appetizer to split among 3-4 people (it was a bit much for 2) - the bread balloon is so soft and the cheese is fresh & tasty.

I ordered the ribs, and they were truly terrible. They were so small dry and burnt, I questions who thought that was okay to serve. They were laughably bad. We were there for two hours and barely saw our server, and they forgot my fiancé’s food, and the rest of the food took an hour and a half. The pastas tasted fine, nothing to write home about though. Also they told us they don’t do a waitlist, and that we should just linger around the hostess and she’ll see if we can have a table. The only good part of my groups experience were the drinks, which were all very tasty and came out promptly. I can deal with long wait times when it’s busy, but when you never bring out someone’s food after they’ve been there for two hours that’s unacceptable. Also how bad the ribs were was unacceptable. One of them was just char.
I went here with a friend for dinner. I ordered a pizza, they ordered a pasta. My pizza came out first so we waited for my friends pasta to also arrive. 20 minutes later, the pasta was still not at the table. When I asked the manager who was passing by, she very condescendingly replied “Pastas always tend to take longer.” Umm yea no joke it does, which is why the kitchen should have planned both items to arrive at least close to each other. The idea is to have dinner together and not one after the other…like that’s basic knowledge for any restaurant. The attitude just baffled me.
In summary, $55 for small portions of pasta that wasn’t good. Our two pasta dishes did not have much flavor and were very hard. I like Al dente pasta, and this was significantly harder than that. It was not enjoyable to eat, and I would not go back to this place for pasta. The patio seating was nice. The server was kind.
I'm writing this review with genuine disappointment. The experience at Roberta's in Culver City was poor from start to finish. The customer service was severely lacking, from the hostess who didn't offer a single smile or friendly greeting to our server who was both pretentious and unprofessional. It was incredibly unappreciated and unnecessary when they decided to ridicule my food preferences. The menu itself was very limited, which is a significant problem if you have any kind of food restrictions. As for the food, my burger was of very bad quality—it felt like it was made without any care and had gristle in it. The side of potatoes were just as disappointing, lacking any crispiness or flavor. Given the combination of poor service and disappointing food, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
Made a reservation on OpenTable for dinner. Arrived at the restaurant only to be told they were out of tables and would seat us when something was available. After waiting 15 minutes, they told us that we made our reservation too close to the reservation time and it would be another 20 minutes before a table would be available. Staff was rude and unprofessional, would give 0 stars if I could.
If this place serves people, the employees need to be much nicer to the people who come in. You need to hire them selectively, they're not that self-aware. Making people wait without saying anything and gesticulating like a "Coward" is not right. You should also tell them to improve their tone. I don't like this service.

I have been enjoying the food at Roberta's for years, but I've noticed that the service has declined. The service last week was absolutely terrible. Some members of our party never got their food until the meal was over. It makes me sad, but I won't be going back.
