Great American Cookies

Just tried these cookies today for the first time (thanks to the tykes Tuesday cookie decorating activity) and honestly the cookies were super delicious and so fresh and soft! I tried both the sugar cookie and the original chocolate chip and both did not disappoint! I will definitely be back for more deliciousness !

Wow. All I have to say is great cookies. This location is just as good if not better than the old Rockland location! My favorite flavor is the cookies and cream. The staff is friendly and answered all of my questions about the nutrition info! Thanks for the great cookies and a better experience !

Just got 6 cookies and I ate all of them... every single one was sooo fresh they were falling apart. So tasty!!! So happy I found this place. I will come here everytime to satisfy my sweet tooth! Cookies I got & recommend - Cookies & cream, Pumpkin , birthday cake, white choc macadamia, strawberry and cream, chocolate chip!!

The cookies are fresh and taste amazing, everyone there was friendly, including (who I assume was) the owner who was incredibly accommodating and polite. 5 out of 5, would HIGHLY recommend.

From start to finish, the entire team was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was so kind and creative, truly making my dream cake a reality. I placed my order for the cake the night before, and it was perfect, fast, and ready right on time for pickup. A massive shout-out and thank you to Marlene, Jamie, and Saniyah—your speed, creativity, and service made this a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this location!

These cookies are fresh and taste so yummy!!! An extra plus that establishment is super clean. All the staff are extremely friendly. I've ordered a few cookie cakes and Jamie matched exactly what I wanted! would HIGHLY recommend!

I just went to The Great American Cookie at the Palisades Mall and boy was I surprised by my visit. First off, the place was immaculate and even though they were busy, was greeted at immediately by all 4 of the workers (their names were Stephanie, Valerie, Marlene and Jamie). Two of the workers were on their way out and they still took the time to greet and talk to me. I ordered 4 cookies and they offered me a great deal-if I purchased one more they would give me a 6th free! The cookies were fresh, warm and unbelievably delicious. I think these were the best cookies I’ve ever had (especially the Chocolate chip and Lemon ones). They even asked me for my phone number and told me about a great rewards program they have after spending a certain amount. They were so friendly-I’m not used to this type of service from anywhere these days. Go to Great American Cookie next time you are at the Palisades Mall-it’s located on the third floor - just outside Macy’s. You will not be disappointed! Mmmmmmm!!

It's great to have Great American Cookie back in Rockland!!! It was my favorite place to go as a kid and now I share the same tradition with all 5 of my kids. We have what we call "Doozie Days", since they are the kids favorite choice of their wonderful selection. The staff is nothing short of wonderful and they really give you that family feel. I recommend GAC for any celebration or if you just want a cookie!!

Bro the cookies here are out of the world. If you're looking for a cheap cookie this is definitely not the place to come, at about $3 a cookie. But they're legit insane. Also not exactly sure how kosher are they are? Fingers crossed 🤞

Is this the cookie cake place from nanuet mall? If so, I used to get their cookie cakes all the time... when it was way cheaper. How is it over 50$ now?!

it’s a shame because this place sells some of the best store bought cookies you can get but the service is just atrocious. they hide the cookies 2 hours before closing for some reason. and when i asked the girls behind the counter if they had any left and they sarcastically said “no they’re all sold out” yeah right, i didn’t believe that for a second. and the last straw happened yesterday when i bought a cookie for my daughter and she dropped it on the floor right in front of the employees because the cookie was so soft it just fell apart in her hands. the employee noticed and said “would you like another one?” i was so grateful until she said “that’ll be 2.59” look i get that it wasn’t the employees fault but they could’ve easily used that opportunity to earn a 5 star rating instead of this 1.

Iv had better baked goods! These cookies are not worth the rediculious prices. Bought them for my kids and they did not even like the sugar cookies. Apparently only there chocolate chip is "good" which Iv tried and once again Iv had better. If the prices weren't so outrageous for a cookie I wouldn't have been so disappointed. If your going to make something expensive it should be worth it!

Update to my initial review: So I reached out to Customer Service. They said "We appreciate the feedback. We recommend downloading our App so that you can earn points/rewards for your purchases. We do hope that you come back and give us another try!" Are you kidding me. Now, I'm not looking for a free handout or coupons but You're recommending that I download your App to earn points/rewards? WTH. How detached from reality is this company???? I just told you that your cookies need to be improved to warrant a $2.00 price. Clearly, GAC's CEO needs to improve the Customer Service department. It might have been better for Customer Service to do some in-depth research into how the cookies can be improved. Honest review. I’m not a chef but I like good pastries and bake goods. I tried 13 cookies from this company and they are average at best. At $2.00 per cookie, they are no where close to being gourmet. I can go to a bakery and get better cookies. The staff was super and friendly. But again I can find better cookies at the grocery store.
