Food was amazing. I had a double cheeseburger and two chili cheese dogs and a chili cheese fry. Very delicious. Good size burger and plenty of chili. The young lady at the register was very nice and hospitable. Definitely recommend! A few flies around but nothing bad

Quaint little hole in a wall spot. Nice young lady waited on us. Both of us got the chicken wrap. One was grilled chicken w/tots and mine was breaded chicken & fries. The wraps tasted wonderful. Would definitely recommend this place.

We'll be back! A must "stop" to eat diner. I had the "philly", my son had the "smash tacos", my grandson had the "grilled chicken" sandwich. The lemonade was superb. Next time, I'll try a hot dog and chili just for giggles!

Well what i say about THE GRILL, they blew it away with the Green Chile Double Bacon Cheeseburger and per my request on TEXAS toast...🔥🔥🔥🔥 If you Haulers are needing a great burger on the go or dine in, they have a spot next door. DON’T MISS THE GRILL!!! Driving through Dalhart TX and decided to stop by because the little sign has a burger on it. No other signage. Walked in and it was PACKED!!! I had to sit at the bar. Had a green chili cheeseburger and fries. It was great!!! They were making shakes and malts… they looked delicious. The girls at the front were nice and fast. Loved this place- definitely coming back!

Super cool little diner with fast and friendly service. The burgers, fried cheese curds, and smash tacos were SO GOOD. We took coffees to go and they were amazing as well. 10/10 recommend!!

I had a double cheeseburger. What an awesome choice I made it was every bit what I wanted. It was so good I almost could not finish this burger. The wait staff was awesome. The tater tots were made to perfection.

Just what you want out of a small town Cafe. Great food and exceptional service. We had breakfast and the omelettes were delicious. My favorite was the biscuits with sausage gravy. I ate mine and half of my wife's. Soooo good! Even though we are just traveling thru, they made us feel like locals. Glad we stopped in.

Having driven north on Hwy 54 and seeing the massive truck traffic...as well as the cattle stockyards as far as you could see on either side you knew that a hamburger place with a full parking lot was definitely a place to stop. And I was not disappointed. This place has an actual historical designation having been there since the 1930's. Now filled with friendly cooks and serving staff and one of the best burgers I have ever had. WOW!!!!

Texas ski travelers! This place is worth the stop! I’m so glad we didn’t settle for our usual chain restaurant selection. The burgers were great! Service was awesome, friendly, and quick, even though they were super busy! We had three in our group, all chose the burgers. I had the cheeseburger with grilled onions and fries (pictured-oops! forgot to take the pic before I smashed the bun down and took a bite lol) My husband had the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions (you can choose grilled or raw or no onions, we like grilled.) My son (15) had the DOUBLE bacon cheeseburger with curly fries and scarfed the whole thing down like a typical teenage boy, then finished my fries 🤣 (his burger is in the background of the burger pic.) After all of us saying how good the food was and how full our bellies are, both the guys opted for a small milkshake. It was a very huge “small”! (see pic) Both shakes were devoured as well. This place has so much on the menu. We’ll definitely add The Grill to our list of “must-stop”food places! Looking forward to trying their Texas Nachos next time. ‘Till next time!!!

Burgers are amazing! The rest of the food (fries, tots, fried mushrooms) was horrible but the burger made up for it. It is a great old-school burger joint in a small town. You know a place is good when the parking lot is full, and this place was. The burger was cooked perfectly & very filling. Tried the fried mushrooms (still frozen in the middle) & fries & tots (cold like they were made an hour earlier & put under a heat lamp). Normally with the quality of the sides I would give 2 stars - but the burgers were just that good.

Food was awesome.. sometimes you need to give small town a try and you will find a hidden gem.. the burger was really good with the brioche type of bun! And I am so glad they do serve half portion nachos! My stuffed avocado was awesome too! Overall this place is definitely worth a stop over for meal break! This is a very small diner with constant drive thru!

We stopped at The Grill during our road trip because the reviews made it seem like a great local spot to grab a meal. It’s a cozy small-town diner, easy to find, and in a convenient location for travelers passing through. The menu actually has a lot of options, and they offer a good selection of sodas and drinks. It definitely has the potential to be a good place to take a break and refuel. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The atmosphere and customer service weren’t very welcoming, and the cleanliness was a big concern. Our table had a sticky, wet residue on it, and other parts of the dine-in area didn’t look well maintained. The biggest issue was with the food several items weren’t cooked or prepared properly, and some of our group couldn’t even eat their meals. Instructions about what we did and didn’t want in our orders were not followed. To make things worse, the silverware wasn’t clean, there was dried food stuck on both the fork and knife, which was really disappointing. For a bill of around $40+, the quality simply wasn’t worth the price. Overall, The Grill has a nice location and a promising menu, but the lack of cleanliness, attention to detail, and food quality made this a stop I wouldn’t choose again. Hopefully improvements are made, because it could be a great little diner with some care
