I visited this place and ordered sautéed shrimp along with a 14 oz ribeye, a loaded baked potato, and a house salad. I have eaten a lot of steak in my life, but this is easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, with an incredible smoky flavor—absolute perfection. The loaded potato practically melted in my mouth, and the shrimp were simply outstanding. I loved it so much that I returned the very next day for the same meal. Call me crazy, but this place is amazing. Excellent job, team!

Stopped in for lunch at XIT Steakhouse while passing through and it did not disappoint. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it hit the spot packed with Ribeye and cooked just right. This place is the perfect stop when you’re on a trip and looking for a solid meal in a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back soon to try the steak! Shoutout to our waitress, she was sweet, attentive, and had great manners. Service like that makes all the difference.

This place was everything and more! Seriously, I have been in the service industry forever , so I know. This place exceeded every need. Our server Rebecca was absolutely amazing. I would hire her in a minute. And Melissa the Manager... well she's just like me. So needless to say I loved her. Lol The atmosphere, the food, the service all 5 stars and more. Enjoy our photos. Up date from my prior 4 star review from a month ago. My wife and I again split and enjoyed another 14 oz Ribeye steak, whole wheat loaf of bread, stuffed baked potato, salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and a peach pie. They have now earned my 5 star rating because the loaf of bread, was crisp and brown on the outside was fully cooked on the inside. They took my constructive criticism well and adjusted the bake time on their whole wheat bread loaf. All the other food was also 5 star excellent. The streak, which we had medium, was perfectly seasoned from the grill, no additional salt or pepper was needed; keep the steak sauces away from it! The preach pie was packed full of peaches. ⁷Bluebell homemade vanilla ice cream on top is delectable. The loaded baked potato was top notch and the dinner salad was a nice mix of lettuce tomatoes, red onions, grated cheddar n carrots. The wait staff was affable and gracious. Being a retired cattle rancher, I personally complimented the manager on the quality of the steak and the seasoning, which were flavorful and juicy. I also make bread from scratch and I appreciate their successful efforts to improve the quality of their bread. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the steaks, the atmosphere and the affable staff. The restaurant interior decorations were perfect for an 1800s Texas ranch dinning room!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while traveling across the country, and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and promptly seated. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of tables. Halli served us and was incredibly attentive, taking the time to chat and answer our questions. Our food arrived promptly everything exactly as we ordered. I had the skewers, which were very tasty, while my husband enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak with wonderful flavor. The manager, Mellisa, stopped by to say hello, and it was clear why her staff loves working here. Her warm personality and supportive management style truly shine through in the team’s hard working and friendly service. We pass through Dalhart a few times a year and will definitely make a point to stop by on our next visit.

Our waitress Angel lived up to her name, place was busy, but we were seated right away, Angel took our order, (dry county so needed to buy a $3 membership to drink) some beer bread to start with, our food came out fast and hot. Ran into a discrepancy with the bill, charged more than was listed on the menu, Angel took it to the manager and ended up being comped for the item! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Definitely a will stop again.

First time to visit them. The service was VERY QUICK! Our waiter was super friendly they had a live band, and that created such a great vibe just to Dance drink eat and be happy. Made a few new friends as well. If you want to have a blast, visit them on a weekend or during the week. Really great food, great atmosphere, awesome service. If you are visiting Dalhart, don't forget to visit XIT!!

Overall excellent place, the mozzarella bites were excellent and the sirloin steak had excellent unique flavor. The only thing that would have made it better was the selection of steak, rather chewy meaning it required 10 + chews per piece cut. $32 for 10oz should be a non-chewy steak.

Had the chicharrones with queso and it was very good and served cracking fresh. The steak is a supposed 40 day dry aged with i asked the server if the sirloin was dry aged or just the Ribeye and she responded with "I don't know what that means". That aside the steak was VERY GOOD but no price on the menu is kinda irritating. The jalapeño cream corn was outstanding. And the burger was very good. We did not care for the meatball sandwich but it seemed fresh it just had a spice I personally didn't care for but I can easily see someone else loving it.

The staff was nice. The jalapeño corn and Mac and cheese were delicious. It's the only steak that I managed to get while in Texas and both mine and my husband's steaks were completely overcooked. There were four of us, and our waiter was friendly. However, the rest of the staff weren't as helpful. One of the waiters tried to take our plates away even though we hadn't asked and we hadn't finished eating.
