Avis sur Angela's Cafe Dallas
If you're looking for the quintessential hole-in-the-wall with home cooking, this is your place. Good variety on the menu. Very reasonably priced. Breakfast served any time. Not sure the rustic touches inside are intentional, but the place was one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been in. I got the veggie omelette that comes with hashbrowns and choice of bread. I also got a slice of chocolate pie to go - all very good and all for under $15. Definitely looking forward to going back to try other items.
Nice vibe. Face pace but attentive to detail. On point with service. Friendly atmosphere and great portions. You won’t leave hungry
We stopped by Angela’s Cafe after being at doctors appointments with our 1 year old daughter all morning… to say we were all starving is an understatement. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but our server Laura, went above and beyond for us. Our daughter was crying and we were trying our best to calm her. Laura quickly sprung in to action making sure she had food as quick as possible — dropping off an egg for her to eat as we decided what we wanted to order. She even took her to walk around the restaurant so my husband and I could finish our breakfast. The food was 10/10 but Laura’s kindness to us during an already stressful morning was even better. Thank you and we will be back and recommend this place to everyone!
Nice restaurant in a very convenient place near the airport and car dealerships, especially if you are picking up or dropping off a car for service. The staff is very nice and attentive. The coffee was good and our waitress made sure to pass by regularly to ensure our cups were never empty for long. The food was excellent, and the biscuits and gravy were especially fresh and tasty. Plenty of parking with the disabled spaces right by the entrance. Bathroom was ok with a nice stall well capable of getting a wheelchair in.
It was a great brunch time for my friends and I. We drove from Houston and looked for a place to eat. Story short Angela's Cafe was our second option, and we did not regret it. Our server was very attentive! Everything was delicious, but I recommend their French toast and their juice bar . I had the Carrot Top 100% amazing.
Such a great local kind of a hole in the wall place. I've lived in North Dallas majority of my life and had never heard of this place but clearly a lot of people had because even on a Friday morning it was kind of busy. Such a nice little restaurant. Was sat down right away, waitress was nice and attentive, good selection of breakfast food and everything came out fast. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette and it came with hash browns and a side of toast. It was very good. Had a coffee with prompt refills. Overall it was great service. Would return again.
High standards for service and customer satisfaction. I hadn't clarified my dietary restrictions and much to my chagrin discovered that there were ingredients on my plate that I wouldn't knowingly consume. The staff refreshed my plate to my satisfaction without a single murmur. That is the essence of service in a breakfast diner - so what if we are busy, the customer is always número uno. The two types of omelettes were more like folded crepes with fillings and toppings. The side accompaniments were plentiful and generous to be sure. Coffee was replenished with embarrassing regularity. Given the booths and assorted rooms and tables, this place is good for a small group meeting or even dining alone since sound dissipation is inaudible.
Had brunch here before heading to the airport for an afternoon flight. This is a great local diner in the heart of Dallas that has a wide array of food choices on their menu. I ordered the spicy chicken wings and chips with queso. Both hit the spot and were shared among the others at my table. Wife had the poached eggs and mom had eggs over easy. Both of them were very happy with the whole experience. To top it off we finished brunch with a churro. This is a great place for a good home cooked meal. It gets busy so get there early!
The food is delicious! Ordered Hawaiian Chicken and I asked for extra pineapple; the chicken well marinated and grilled to perfection. Fresh vegetables and the brocolli was well steamed. I also had a side of mashed potatoes and corn and they were the best! There's enough sitting in this place and the staff is very friendly. Prices are reasonable and I will be returning with the entire family. I'm visiting from Chicago and will highly recommend this cafe!
We arrived later in the day and this place was definitely moving. I ordered the lox sandwich. I assumed it would be a typical bagel with lox, capers, purple onions, and cream cheese. It turned out to be a bagel sandwich with lettuce and tomato. No big deal, I just broke it down and made my bagel. It was good. My colleague ordered a tuna sandwich, he really enjoyed that. All and all, cute spot and definitely a comfort food type diner.
1st timer & very pleasantry surprised! Great feel to the restaurant- varied customers with a neighborhood vibe. Our food was excellent ! Service was high quality & welcoming $$ was less than I expected (given Inwood location) Traditional American diner & really good Tex Mex choices. Check em out !
One of the solid breakfast diners you would think about going to for a nice, dependable breakfast experience outside. Nothing super extraordinary, but a little tucked away and you can see many locals (esp older locals which is a good sign) coming to eat here. Sausage, egg, hashbrowns, bacon are solid. Hard to go wrong. Wasn't too impressed by the pancakes. My friend was happy with his burrito
It's the most crowded diner i have ever seen on my life, but i didn't get why. The meal is good but it's not on the top of the league. The service is average. I barely got a coffee refill. It seems to me that the customer are recurrent ones as the staff know them by their names. The venue is well decorated, but overall Angela's lacks the atmosphere of Norma's. P.D. It was so crowded that i couldn't take venue pictures
I’ve come to Angela’s twice now and both times service was great. Food was great. Servers were very attentive. One issue both times. Front desk. First time two servers were bent over the counter on their phones and no type of interaction. We had to say hello for one of them to look up and acknowledge but didn’t get off her phone. Someone else helped us. When we left the same server was still at the front desk on her phone. The second interaction service and food great!!! When we went to pay no acknowledgment whatsoever. No thank you, no anything except how much to pay. All while the cashier had a mouth full of food. When paid we said thank you and still nothing from the cashier, just finished his mouth full of food and conversation with a female rolling silverware. We will be back but definitely think you should work on front door/ first point of contact hospitality/ customer service.
$15 for a small pancake and three strips bacon and a coffee. Most expensive breakfast in town. I asked the cashier he said that’s the price. Won’t be back
This morning, my girlfriend and I went to Angela‘s Café. She went in to pick up our call in order and the host was wearing pajama pants and watching Netflix. He didn’t give her any attention and she had to ask if her order was ready … it had been sitting back behind him getting cold. There was no name or ticket on it on either. She got the lox salmon bagel and I got the breakfast burrito. Both were very underwhelming, especially the bagel. The breakfast burrito was extremely bland while it was big in size. It was clear they were pushing quantity over quality at this establishment. The bagel had wilted lettuce and onion strings that look like they came from Burger King. We have given this place two tries and it doesn’t look like there will be a third. I would save your time, money, and digestive system and go somewhere else. As for Angela, I would tell her to go ahead and take that bagel off the menu or do it right!
