Came here late at night, they weren't too busy. We didn't have a wait time, we were seated pretty quickly. They brought us cups of black beans, and they were great!! I ordered the Al Pastor torta and it was delicious!! It had refried beans and melted cheese as well as the meat. It came with pickled jalapeños and thinly sliced pickled carrots, which were great to add to the torta

When your friend/sister is in town and your she suggests Mexican cuisine my assistant searched Google for Mexican Restaurants near Lemmon Ave🤩 and the rest is history. El Tizoncito was selected because of its glowing reviews. Thank you to all the reviewers💯. El Tizoncito Lemmon was the perfect choice! The location was great, the food and prices were amazing, the vibe was good and our server Jose provided exceptional service! Every staff member that we encountered was very kind and courteous. Oh, their patio is everything! We loved the El Tizoncito experience🤩. So much so that our plates were cleaned and we’re looking forward to our next visit!

El Tiz El Tizoncito on Lemmon is a great spot for tacos! Love that they serve you a bowl of black beans when you arrive — a welcome and healthy change from the usual chips and salsa. Their salsas are awesome too. We tried the Tinga tostada and it was fantastic. We also got the tinga tacos, and they made it perfectly after a small mix-up with the order. The waiters were really patient and fixed it right away once I explained. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for soaking up some spring weather!

I’ve always seen this spot in passing and finally got to try it. I was seated immediately upon entering and was brought a cup of black beans and tray of toppings. My waiter was attentive and customer service was good. I decided to order the guacamole + chips and the 4 tacos (chicken + beef). I really enjoyed the tacos and being able to control what I placed on top. The sauces provided were good as you had mild and spicy version. My only complaint is that the guacamole could’ve had more to it. It was just mashed avocados. I had to add extra salt for flavoring. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and would return to try out of items.

I've tried a few things here, and everything is good. The menudo is very spicy and somewhat hot. It will definitely cure a hangover. The drinks are strong but a little pricey for what you're getting. The service is decent. Overall, they are consistent.

My brisket nachos were great, certainly will have them again. The drinks were very good as well. The vibe was good well. The reason for my 4 star rating is due to the fact that the waitress appeared to be busy. I'm use to the waitress checking in after getting our food to make sure we don't need anything but instead about 10-15 minutes after our food got to our table we had to call her over for refills and by that time it was too late to ask for the extra things I had needed.

The food used to be great, but lately it’s been ok. Too greasy. Margaritas sometimes are too strong sometimes you can’t even taste alcohol. The atmosphere of this place is okay as well, I like that this place it’s very clean and feels relaxing. Customer service has almost always been great, so no complaints so far.

Tasty food and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. The only negative point is that there is too much coriander in the tomato.

Just okay! Not my favorite spot in the area. I prefer Lemmon Street Tacos just up the road. Portion sizes are good but the flavor just isn’t there for me. Sopes here aren’t my favorite style either.

We visited here for the first time based upon the google reviews and was super excited. We ordered the Parrillada Tizon and Bistec Pepito Torta. Pros: Black bean soup is very tasty and free! Great patio and service was pretty fast Portions were big Complimentary topping caddy provided with tasty sides to add to your meal Cons: The meat was super bland. I had the dish that had a sampling of every street taco meat. The only one that had any sort of flavoring was the pastor (pork) taco. The rest has ZERO flavoring ie no salt, pepper or spices. I guess they wanted you to add your own flavor with the complimentary caddy that has onion, cilantro, salsa and limes. My husband ordered the steak torta and said the beef was also unseasoned and bland. His dish came with jalapeños and he added some of the salsa to add flavor to the dish. Overall, we were severely disappointed because we thought the meat would be seasoned prior to cooking but I guess it is just the style of their cooking. I’ve asked around to my friends of Mexican heritage to ask their opinion and they said that some authentic places have seasoned meat and others add very little seasoning to their meat. This place is very popular so there definitely is a market for this style of cooking but my palate likes more seasoning. The waitress was very nice but spoke limited English. Have fun if you go but don’t expect seasoned food or maybe we ordered the wrong things?
