Steph R is hands‑down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. She’s fast, friendly, and always remembers what people like. Her drinks are consistently on point, and she brings such a great vibe to the bar. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and it shows in the service. If Steph is behind the bar, you’re guaranteed a great experience. Highly recommend her!
Vidorra Dallas is one of the top restaurants that I love to visit almost every weekend!! I love the rooftop vibes and when the weather is nice and breezy, it don't get much better than that!! :) Every time I come, I get the "barralled nachos" but this time I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the nachos have changed to individually loaded chips. I loved them even more because it reminds me of the nachos at snuffers but BETTER. The two stephanie's recommended some nice cocktails to us, and sierra recommended the new and IMPROVED nachos!! the girls were so knowlegeable about the menu and very attentive to our needs. The drinks are always great!! I will keep coming here, but now I gotta come back to see these awesome ladies on the rooftop!!
Came to Vidorra in Deep Ellum and had a great time at the bar with friends. The atmosphere was lively, and we really enjoyed the night. Mike the bartender took good care of us and made sure everything was smooth. Great service and good vibes all around. I’d definitely come back.
It was our first time going, it was busy and had to wait, so I would suggest reservations for large groups. I got the chile relleno and it was absolutely delicious. The drinks we had were great as well. Highly recommend for a good night of food and drinks.
Visited this location a few months ago and just went back again today wow, both times were exceptional. I first sat at the bar and had the chance to talk with Paola. She was amazing holding great conversation, making drinks, being proactive, and constantly checking to make sure we were good. Later, my friends joined me and we moved to a table on the outside patio where Tyler was our server. Handsome guy, always looking sharp and well presented. Even with a full section, he took our order quickly and handled everything in a very efficient and professional way. I highly recommend both the bar and the outside patio, especially if you get Paola as your bartender or Tyler as your server.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely fabulous experience at Vidorra! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Our server, Sawyer, was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. His service truly made our visit even more enjoyable. The food was also incredible. The alambre was definitely a highlight — one of the best dishes we’ve ever had! Every bite was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Vidorra to anyone looking for delicious food, great service , and an overall amazing dining experience.
Alice made this experience amazing for margarita day!!!!!!! This place exceeded my expectations! The service was quick, the staff was friendly, and every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. You can tell they really care about quality and customer experience. Highly recommend if you want a spot that never disappoints. I’m only coming back to see Alice tho lol ;)
I had an amazing experience at Vidorra, and a huge part of that was thanks to Justina! From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made sure our drinks were always full, checked in at the perfect times, and gave great recommendations from the menu. You can tell she really knows her stuff and cares about making sure guests have a great time. Even when the restaurant got busy, she stayed upbeat and professional, never making us feel rushed or forgotten. That kind of service really stands out. If you’re going to Vidorra, definitely ask for Justina—she’ll make your experience even better!
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was unmatched — great music, beautiful ambiance, and the perfect energy. The drinks were top-tier (Spirit Forward and perfectly crafted), and the food was Absolutely amazing. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and picture-perfect. But what truly made the experience was Mike. He was attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. It’s rare to find service like that anymore in Dallas. We’ll definitely be back. If you go, ask for Mike — you won’t regret it!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the rooftop, and it was all thanks to Tania and Breyeigh! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like VIPs. Their attentiveness, warm smiles, and genuine care made all the difference. They checked in on us throughout the entire time, made sure we had everything we needed, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. It’s rare to find service this good — they truly took care of us in every way. If you’re visiting the rooftop, you’re in great hands with these two. We’ll definitely be back!
Vidorra in Dallas, Deep Ellum location did not disappoint! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with big smiles by the host and the manager, I believe his name was Jose. Since I was by myself I just asked to sit at the bar. Not only my bartender but my server Stephanie was very helpful with the menu. She recommended the sirloin burrito. The steak in the burrito was juicy tender and delicious! Generous amount of food and an endless chips and salsa. Stephanie also recommended the churros for desert and that was a great choice. Not to soft, a little bit of a crunch completed with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and strawberries. It was perfect! I loved that I always had a full glass of ice cold water for the my thirst. Very attentive! Even as I paid my bill and left I was greeted out with all smiles by all the staff. When it comes to Hospitality I’d say the managers/trainers are teaching well. My overall experience at Vidorra was definitely a 10/10! Food was great and Service was definitely great!
Every time I'm in Dallas, I have to come visit Vidorra again. Every meal I've had there has been amazing. Great food and drinks. I still dream about the green salsa! Recently revisited and it was just as amazing as it was the last time I was there in 2024. Special thanks to our server Rodolfo, who was incredibly attentive and had great suggestions. Thank you for always providing a great experience, and I look forward to the next time I get to enjoy your margaritas and delicious food!
Guillermo is one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. From the moment you sit down, his positive attitude and great sense of humor makes my experience here feel welcoming fun. He has an incredible sense of urgency behind the bar—no matter how busy things get! Guillermo knows exactly what he’s doing. Ask him to make you a michelada, his is the best! Hands down 👏🏻
First time going here and it was AMAZING. didn’t disappoint, everyone was so sweet and welcoming. Liv was so helpful and sweet and attentive. We never felt like we were bothering anyone or didnt belong. We came here after we were denied across the street at Palma. Thank you vidorra staff for making our first experience with our friends after a long drive after church so welcoming. The food was so fresh and authentic you can tell the kitchen puts love into it! And our drinks! Chefs kiss! It didn’t taste like a watered down margarita it was flavorful, fruity, with that small hint of tequila that’s not too little or too much. We can’t wait to come back and eat here. From a group of servers and bartenders thank you LIV for being so humble, kind, patient, sweet and attentive.
We’re not from TX but we make a point of stopping by Vidorra every single time we go. Our most recent visit was when my parents visited us from South Africa. The food and drinks are amazing, but what makes us come back every time is the staff! Just an amazing experience from the moment you walk in and I cannot recommend it enough!
Vidorra in Deep Ellum was a blast! The food is always hot, fresh and tasty and the drinks are delicious. My bartender Amy was so sweet and fun the entire time and constantly checked on me! Never had to wonder when she’d return. Ask for Amy when you go and you’ll definitely have a great experience and maybe even leave with a new friend!
Stopped by here on a recommendation from hotel staff near by- it was very lively on a Thursday evening but also big enough location that we were able to be seated in the back since we had small kids with us. We got the appetizer sampler which was good. The taquitos & quesadilla was really good. The chips & salsa were really good as well. Shrimp tacos are a must! I didn’t catch the server or managers name but they both were phenomenal! Coming from the restaurant industry- they were prime example of good service! Oh and the margaritas were amazing as well!
had such a great experience here! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Everything was cooked perfectly and you can tell they really care about quality. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean, which made it even better. I especially want to mention the manager, Alice — she was extremely sweet and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I have heard about this place on multiple occasions Finally had the opportunity to try it out. Had to go beef rib (menu says they are 1 lb. And it was. Also took pork ribs and brisket to go. That came with a side which were some delicious collard greens . If your are anywhere remotely near this place give it a try
One of the contenders for the top pitmaster in deep ellum. The brisket was both tender and moist with plenty of smoke. Some of the best I have had. The burnt ends was less consistent. Some are juicy while others were dry. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Good alcohol pairings for great bbq.
There is no shortage of BBQ choices in Dallas and Pecan Lodge is my favorite for a few things. The pork ribs, burnt ends, turkey are all top notch. The brisket, beef ribs, sausage are great as well. I can't comment on any other meat...I've not had it. Side, haven't had those either. If by some chance you leave room for somethin sweet, absolutely make it the peach cobbler! Depending on the day, the outside patio is a great place to enjoy hanging out and listening to som live music. I highly recommend going to Pecan Lodge if you are in the area!
🔥 The Pecan Lodge – BBQ Heaven! 🔥 I’ve tried BBQ all over Texas — Houston, San Antonio, and Austin — and honestly, this place might just be the best of them all. 😍 🥩 Beef Rib: Juicy, tender, and perfectly warm — you don’t even need silverware to enjoy it. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. 🦃 Turkey: Delicious and juicy too, with the perfect flavor balance. 🎶 Atmosphere: Great vibes all around! There’s live music, a spacious terrace, and a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. If you’re a BBQ lover, this place is an absolute must. Come hungry, stay for the music, and you’ll leave planning your next visit.
A historic Dallas BBQ spot with solid but not spectacular BBQ. Needs the BBQ sauce to take it to a 4 star out of 5 My wife hadn't been to Pecan Lodge and it had been a minute for me so we decided to come. I was curious how it would stack up so many years later now that we've tried Cattleack, Hutchins, Terry Black's, Goldee's. We ordered a lot of food to try them all. Service was a little less personal, no one cutting the meats in front of you. You order and then your name gets called with your tray(s) of food. I tried asking at if they could cut me a smaller beef rib when I ordered but the cashier said you cannot make requests for size, which is fine but was able to be accommodated at other BBQ places when they're preparing the meats in front of you. Overall for most meats, I was disappointed how dry they were. Including the brisket, pork ribs. The burnt ends were very dry. They needed the BBQ sauce to make it solid BBQ. The pork rib flavor was better than others and not as salty as Goldee's, which my wife and I liked. The beef rib was a nice surprise and wasn't as salty as other places which I liked. Some others may like the seasoning stronger though. For the sides, the Mac and cheese and baked beans stood out. Very gooey Mac and cheese, better than Terry Black's, and very good flavor for the beans. The coleslaw was average and had an unexpected spicy kick to it at the end. The banana pudding was also average and not spectacular. Overall, we spent a good amount of money for not so impressive BBQ. What saves this rating to be a 4 star is the beef rib and sides. Parking in Deep Ellum is also horrendous. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their fried chicken or if a friend wanted to go but with so many other options including Terry Black's down the street, I would be hard pressed to go out of my way to come back.
Travelled to Dallas and this place was suggested by my local peers. Super quick with service and didn't have to wait long for food, especially when you have a 13mon old. Ribs were tender, and I really loved the smoky aspect to the sausage. Not a sauce or additional rub person, devoured the bbq as such. I would say fried okra was something I tried for the first time and it didn't disappoint.
We heard from a few people that this is THE place for Texas BBQ. The line was long but there was no wait at the bar. The food came out very quickly. The brisket and ribs were tender with good seasoning. The BBQ sauce was good and adds to the flavoring. The fried okra was fried okra. I would recommend a different sides. The slushy margarita was delicious on a hot day but getting the swirl of flavoring was not worth the extra $4. The classic margarita would’ve been just fine. Overall the food was good. If there’s a short line or seatings at the bar, try it!
The food was very good. Fast paced line and food came out about 5 minutes after ordering. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money if you are going with multiple people. We bought the trough it came stacked with enough meat for everyone to eat on and plenty left over. The sides were good but not anything to out of the ordinary. The baked beans were the best of the sides definitely recommend. All of the meat was good and tender besides the burnt ends they were on the drier side. All around everything was good definitely had a great experience.
Service and atmosphere were great. I had higher expectations for this. I really wanted to try the beef ribs but they were expensive. The brisket was very fatty. The Mac’ N cheese had a spin on it with jalapeños. It lacked salt. The Cole slaw was refreshing. The sausage was good, nothing exceptional. Pulled pork sandwich was tender with great flavor. I did enjoy the Hot Mess sandwich. This is a must try, great flavor and filling.
Food was good, the macaroni was the best I’ve ever had. The ribs were cold and a little tougher than I would like. They did not seem fresh. The brisket was good but seemed as well cold and not fresh. I got marbled brisket it was good but not the best due to it not being hot. The okra was delicious, the collard greens were good but had a sweet flavor. The place was busy the cashier was in a hurry to take your order. We enjoyed our meal and will return in just wish you would receive hot meat on your order everything else was delicious the rolls are amazing as well. The pulled pork was okay too just not seasoned enough. There is a bbq sauce on table available. We will return if in Dallas again especially for the Mac and cheese
Went here after visiting the Bush museum for some lunch. I had researched the top BBQ places in Dallas and this one came up so I gave it a try. Definitely has awesome vibes with live music and cool staff. But the food was just… eh. I ordered a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork plus macaroni and cheese as my side. First, the mac and cheese was delectable. Easily the best part of the meal. The brisket on the other hand was very fatty. Not sure if that’s how Texans like it or not. The pulled pork was mostly really good, but a few parts were super burnt. It was also served with a side of onions (yay!) and pickles (yuck). I guess everything in Texas comes with pickles if you don’t specify. The food was just… okay. For what I paid I expected a lot better, hence the rating.
Ordered UberEats. Our second American BBQ experience. It was ok…I wish the meat was more tender, especially the brisket. Beans were ok. I’ve had better bbq elsewhere but maybe this is because I ordered delivery….We were passing through the States so this was disappointing. We ordered: - Brisket and pork ribs 2 meat plate - Pulled pork and sausage 2 meat plate
I went out with some friends to talk business and our companies. As soon as we walked in, the environment was nice — smelled good, good vibes, everything. I ordered the enchiladas because they looked amazing when they came out. But listen… 😒 Them enchiladas were trash. No flavor at all. Just nasty. You would think this would be a solid spot to order enchiladas, but nah. Save yourself the headache and don’t get them. Atmosphere was cool, food? Missed the mark. ❌
The food was okay, for $55 dollars, there were more vegetables than meat on the skillet. For them to not be so busy, the service was horrible. We were there to celebrate my nieces birthday and it was not a memorable birthday dinner. The waitress was more worried about taking away empty plates than filling up or empty cups.
Not sure we're to start. The pork ribs was a big disappointment. No flavor and hard to swallow. They looked good for the eyes only. The Brisket was dry also with no flavor. The pulled pork was okay just full of fat so you have to pick through it. The Mac was okay. The beans was okay. The okra was cold a hard. Peach cobbler let's just say I ate the peaches. We were highly disappointed. The BBQ was made with 0 effort one was super watery and sweet like sugar water with a mixture of sauce. The thicker sauce was okay. $98 down the drain. We tried our best to give it a fair taste every bite was more disappointing. What BBQ place charge for initial bread. It doesn't matter that is .75 per slice its the point. I expected it to be close to Terry Blacks, Not even close. Best part we did get our cold food fast as there was no line on a Sunday. Will never return.

You hear about Pecan Lodge often, right? It’s practically synonymous with Dallas barbecue, a true institution.
