Mezcal Denver

The food was delicious and the service was great. I got the pineapple coconut margarita, fish tacos, and queso fundido with chorizo. All was so good! Loved the atmosphere and decorations on the wall. My kids were dancing to the music. They don’t show a kids menu on their website but they do have one! We don’t go to Denver often but when we come back, we will definitely eat here again!

This place is my go-to spot for a great drink and an incredible atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a cozy vibe and top-notch service that makes you feel right at home. The bartender, Grecia is always ready to craft unique and personalized cocktails or simply serve my favorite drink with a smile + the food is amazing and they have a greatttrr happy hour

We really enjoyed this place, going in on a early weekday afternoon and were seated immediately. The food was very delicious! They have several hot sauces to choose from as well. Decor inside is very pretty. This place has a sweet outdoor front patio if you want to people-watch. Chips and salsa were on point! It was actually very hard for us to choose our entrees because the menu is fantastic and we can't wait to go back to try more.

Our favorite spot for the best street tacos, fantastic margaritas, and authentic salsas. Bartender shared with us that their pineapple margaritas are made with tequula infused with pineapple, in-house! I *dream* about the margarita and salsas, often... Overall an absolute gem in Denver.

This is a great place to go on a busy Friday night! Service was excellent. Food was as well. We got the guacamole (very fresh), 4 street tacos and the shrimp ceviche. The only thing I’d say is that I’m a pork belly fan but the vinegar from the onions really masked the pork belly flavor. Otherwise, amazing!

This place is filled with loud music, crazy decor and great tacos! We came here for $1 taco Tuesdays and they were very flavorful, each tacos has it's own toppings and the meat was super tender. The chips came out warm and the salsa is fresh with a little spicy kick. The margaritas are balanced and the staff was attentive. I wish I lived here so I could visit often. I reccomend this place to everyone!

Bright interior, delicious food and affordable prices. And I really liked our waiter, he is well-versed in the menu and very friendly.

Spectacular taco Tuesday! I loved all of them I tried, service was great, beer cold and delicious tequila. I have come for happy hour before but never on a Tuesday. The house margaritas were very tasty 2.

Great selections for food and drink. I like that the menu is not overloaded with choices and they seem to focus on quality dishes. I had the chili cheese fries with green Chile and asada and they were outstanding. The house margs were ok. I should have tried a few others but the table ordered on our behalf 🤷🏼‍♂️ Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant has nice decor, is clean and inviting. There's a small patio for outdoor seating too. Great place to eat before catching a show at the bluebird!

The mimosas were delicious( had different flavors) and the food was to die for - pozole a must recommend and chille renello ❤️. The staff was the sweetest, will definitely come back!

Delicious tacos and drinks. A must visit on taco Tuesdays or any other day. An extensive tequila bar as well providing the base for a ton of delicious cocktails. On the busy Colfax Street in downtown Denver so people watching is always a plus. Tacos are fresh, big and delicious.

Update (8/19/23) : food was horrible. Pay $20 for chiles rellenos, and $20 for burritos was a mistake! Sorry Mezcal, just ⭐️one star this time! Great place to eat latin food. Delicious!...

Best taco Tuesday ever. Great stuff great service. Margarita was delicious the taco was yummy as ever and I just love the atmosphere.

The food was delicious. We had the steak fajitas, red Enchiladas, and the barbacoa taco plater. Everything was fresh. the server we had was great. Music was great.

Love this place. Have been going for years, and it never let's me or my friends down. Taco Tuesday is also great as they have their Taco plate on a deal.

Some of the best Mexican I've ever had. Love their Taco special, but the new menu kind of sucks (especially the happy hour quesadilla "deal") but I'm glad they finally have BEER on DRAFT. Amazing food, good service.

The shrimp ceviche is exceptional, and I order it every time I go. My son had a platter with three different items, all of which he said were delicious. The server was very accommodating and allowed me to order a margarita made with vodka instead of tequila.

If you're in Denver, Colorado, I recommend coming here. I got the nachos and it was DIVINE, over all the place was in good condition, BARELY any gum under the table and the workers here are so nice. This place will surely fill your stomach.

Quality Mexican eats. Very good mole' sauce on my burrito. Guacamole was good however the portion was smaller than expected. Great chips and salsa. Place is a little dated but that didn't affect the food or service.

Went here on valentine's day. Lots of room and I ordered the enchiladas with red sauce. I love mexican food and I have to say it was the type of sauce I've been looking for. Since the favors always vary depending on each restaurant. Its so good I have to say its my new go to place. Even the guacamole was pretty elaborated imo. My 8 month old even liked it. I like how they even have a brunch menu. I like how the place would be casual or you can dress a little formal and you wont feel to out of place. I wish I took a picture of the food, I just couldn't put my fork down. 😅

What a great spot if you’re looking for some delicious authentic Mexican food. The service was great. The food and drinks were even better. We will come back for taco Tuesday happy hour soon. Our server Diana was so very sweet and gave us good options for what we should order.

To start our meal, we ordered the Chile Rellenos and Mezcal Nachos. The Chile Rellenos were simply exquisite. The Mezcal Nachos, on the other hand, were a delightful twist on a classic favorite. Moving on, we indulged in the Pozole Rojo, Mezcal Burrito, and Carne a la Tampicania. The Mezcal Burrito was a true showstopper. Packed with succulent meat, rice, beans, and a medley of vibrant vegetables, each bite was bursting with flavor. The pork tacos delicious. They had pineapple pieces and a pineapple spicey sauce. The gravy for the burritos seemed homemade. Service was good not a lot of people there.

Mezcal was a treat for sure. The food was amazing but the atmosphere was less than amazing. The place was super loud and the music was over energetic to me. We ordered the mezcal burrito, street tacos, and some Nachos. Again, the food was extremely good! The server was pretty nice and honest. I didn't feel like he was pretending so I liked that. You should be able to be yourself. I would recommend the food anytime, but expect a loud environment. Next time, I will just order to-go.

Food is absolutely great but the tiny 3” shells for the chorizo tacos are to small and had to eat the rest of my tacos with a spoon also the limes we got were already brown

Food is consistently tasty, appreciate the vegetarian options and great online deals! Unfortunately though sometimes order notes like added guacamole for extra are missed as happened tonight. Still a great option, just worries me a bit with dietary restrictions when I depend on the modifiers. Also would prefer item costs not increased for 3rd party delivery as the fee is included in total already but can’t complain with the consistent great specials. Overall, would recommend!

Food is amazing. Drinks are overpriced and weak. Bluebird had a show so the parking was difficult but don’t blame the restaurant. Absolutely LOVE the green chili loaded fries! A “pitcher” of the house margaritas was a carafe of mostly ice and barely 2 cups, which cost $40!!!! An individual house margarita is $12 and consists of only 3-4oz of liquid and the rest was ice. Will go back for the food but never order alcohol there again.

We sat outside and had to fetch the waiters twice. The food was decent. While we were happy with our meal we were not excited about it either. My mezcal cocktail was nice. Overall, the food is good but standard for Mexican food restaurant in Denver.

The tacos were absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, that's about the extent of the positive review - we ordered drinks and the server completely forgot about them. We were one of two tables in there, so it wasn't like she was slammed and overwhelmed.

I enjoyed the food and the service was good. I'm giving it 3 stars because our house Margarita was $8.00 when it was more like a $5.00 happy hour margarita. We came on before a show across the street at the Bluebird. It really can't get more convenient than that. I made reservations using the Yelp app. I'd not done that before and it was very easy. I got 3 tacos and my friend got the chicken quesadilla with a side of guacamole. My tacos were good, but I thought there was to much slaw on my Korean Bbq taco. The crunchy taco is the cutest little thing, but not a ton of flavor. I also had Carne asada taco with beans and rice, which I enjoyed a lot.

I’ve always enjoyed Mezcal because I like the staff and the ambience, but I rarely go because the vegetarian options are almost nonexistent (They used to have some good soy chorizo tacos, but those have been gone forever.) Alas, I stopped in again, and it still has very few vegan options. Oh well.

My family ordered DoorDash from this place, only to find out they don’t allow comments or modifications—so we had to call just to ask for no cheese. The first order arrived, and every single item had cheese. We called again and reordered everything, only for the second order to show up with cheese on everything yet again. After a third call, we got absolutely no help and nothing was done. Complete waste of time and money. They also hung up on us!!

The worst place to buy your food. I should of went to Burger King and would have enjoyed my meal. I was here visiting form California, I purchased lunch for my staff and myself and was very disappointed. They did not have the drinks we ordered so she served us what she had. One of our plates that was on their online menu, she said oh we don’t serve that so we put this instead. I will post a picture of the sorriest taco I have ever seen. Not only was it a shameful portion, it had no taste and it was cold. This place needs lots of improvement, I will never visit this establishment.

Decent Tex-Mex and drinks, but charging for chips and salsa is an absolute deal breaker. Half the reason to go to a Mexican restaurant is for the immediate chips & salsa. Having to order and wait and pay for them is horrible! To make matters worse ... they never even brought the chips and salsa. I don't see a reason to come here again.
