The Wash Park location of Mister Oso delivers exceptional food and a spacious atmosphere to spend time with friends and family. The service was prompt, friendly, and easygoing. The churros are delicious, especially when dipped in the brown butter sauce. The meat on the carne asada tacos was a bit tough, but still flavorful. The barria tacos were the highlight and the consommé took them to next level. The RiNo location is good, but has a cramped atmosphere in my opinion, so I’d choose this spot.

This place is AMAZING! The elite corn ribs were the best part of the meal but everything was a 10/10. My toddler ordered chicken tenders and even those were delicious. We spent a lot due to ordering 4 alcoholic drinks but other than that the price is reasonable. It’s also a plus that the Wash Park location is in a nice area and the inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

After hearing about this place for years, I finally came in for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend the coconut rice, crispy broccolini, birria tacos and churros for dessert! The service and atmosphere were also great. Will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic. I love trying unique and fun restaurants and this is certainly one that is amazing. The food tastes amazing and there are so many options. Even with dietary restrictions within my dinner party there were a lot of items to choose from. The restaurant has a great vibe to it. This was such a wonderful place to have an office meet and greet. Would highly recommend and will stop by the next time I am in the area. The staff is amazing....

love the tacos here. we came right after brunch on the weekend and they close the kitchen down for 30 mins but still provide 3 snack options. great cocktails! my boyfriend loves the churros, very jealous I cant have being gluten free

Stopped for brunch. Asst manager, Tyler was awesome. Even though there was a wait and they were short on staff, they still managed to get us seated on the patio. Our waitress was fabulous. The food was delicious 😋 😍 the atmosphere and decor was calming and welcoming. We'll be back!

Great experience with our server Halle on the patio! She was so sweet to our pup, highly professional and helpful/patient with us while we figured out the InKind app. We ordered the Cesar salad and the brunch crunch wrap and both items were bomb! We also loved the cold brew cocktails! Great experience! Can’t wait to be back!

The taste of the food was nothing like I tried before. Delicious! Very juicy, totally recommend. I had the veggie option which was great.

All of my friends adore this place, specially their happy hour. Their drinks are fresh, their food is fresh, in the atmosphere is beautiful. Their menu is diverse and the drink menu is delicious. The perfect place for a date. Their service is outstanding. I recommend Mr Oso to everyone!

Absolutely fantastic food, and they were more than accommodating for us looking for patio seating for covid safety. The servers seem to enjoy working here, and the whole place is spotlessly clean even during the dinner hour. The tacos are served with tortillas on the side for you to build yourself; each $15 plate is good for 3-4 tacos, so super reasonable pricing. Where they really shine is the meat - we ordered the barbacoa and carnitas to mix and match, and the amount of flavor they packed into the meat was unbelievable. The only reason I resisted licking the plate was how nice a place it is, but I definitely got more tortillas to clean the plate with. Come, enjoy yourself. It's worth it. Just give a little bit more time to find parking, since the lot they have fills up quick and you might have to circle a bit to find street parking.

A unique little spot serving delicious bites in a fun atmosphere! Everything is designed to share and the cocktails are a nice add.

Went with some friends. Distinct flavor profiles. Delicious overall from savory to sweet entrees. Highly recommended. There is a 20% fee service charge. Just be aware of it. They are worth it imo.

Pricey but super high quality! Loved the Mahi Mahi tacos, the lamb tacos, and the birria tacos. Great, strong drinks. Fun, bright, modern vibe. Was busy even on a Thursday night! Popping.

Mister Oso pairs it’s casual and trendy atmosphere with excellent food execution and just enough creativity to fully commit to its staples like the Gauc and Birria Tacos. Dessert also proved uniquely delicious.

We had lots of fun at Mister Oso's Wash Park Cinco de Mayo block party last Sunday. Food is always good here and the cocktails, too. Vendors were unique and helpful!

We had the mojo and birria tacos. Delicious!! The sauce with the mojo was very interesting and really took the taco to the next level. I can't wait to go back and try more tacos!

This is definitely in my top three taco places in Denver. They aren't what you would call authentic Mexican food, but that doesn't make the food any less delicious. Highly recommend this place.

I come here all the time, it’s a great atmosphere and the food is stellar. The cocktails are epic. Service is always attentive and professional. If you come to Denver check out Oso.

I loved it in Rino and I love it even more in my neighborhood. Delicious food, great staff, and it's so cozy.

My first time here with a group was great. For apps, we had queso and guac, both were delicious. I tried the chicken empanadas which were pretty good. I also tried the mojo tacos which are pork with plantains. Excellent flavor and I appreciated that they were willing to accommodate my request for no pickled onion. Standouts were the drinks and dessert though. I had a banana pina colada and a frozen strawberry pomegranate margarita and both were scrumptious. The churros and its sauce were the favorite of the meal - a must have! Service was decent. I could tell he was very busy. Was a little disappointed that after we closed out, we stayed for maybe 15-20 more minutes and there was no additional water brought to the table so many of us had nothing to sip on. Vibes and atmosphere were excellent but it is pretty loud when it’s busy. I look forward to going back.

Fun place and great food. Frito pie, nachos and the guac were all fantastic. Service was great. I asked about a few tequilas I did not see listed and the waiter checked on them for me. Great Happy Hour experience.

The food, staff, and atmosphere were amazing. Each dish had added fresh ingredients that took the flavor of the food to the next level: sesame seeds, fresh herbs, etc. My husband who does not like queso nor chorizo, loved the queso with the chorizo because of the superior quality of the ingredients. The fire roasted salsa was superb. Never had any that tasted that good.

Got HH margaritas, mojo pork tacos & queso. One of the best tacos I've ever had hands down, people on here saying the tacos were average or better elsewhere are on one. Margs were great too. Definitely worth the price to try something tasty, Michelin recognition well deserved!

Great food and great service. Scratch made meats and sauces, tortillas are the best … even left over! Margaritas were fabulous as well. Hidden gem … we’ll be back!

This is such a cute little restaurant. The food was good, though a bit salty. The standout dish was the smoked potatoes—they had an amazing flavor. The smoked brisket burrito was just okay; the meat was tender but lacked depth of flavor, and I wish it had more spice. Also, the queso could have been thicker. The Spicy Bear Salad was delicious and well-balanced, though the greens were just basic romaine. Customer service was decent—young staff with a laid-back vibe.

P

The food was bursting with flavour, sometimes maybe a touch too salty. However, this was balanced with a sweet pickled element or onions to brighten up the palate. My favourite was the lamb. I don’t feel that all the dishes are for sharing, particularly the tacos. We found the portions quite small and a couple of us were still hungry after. A 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill, so there is no need to tip, unless you truly feel it’s warranted.

L
Libby Kara

So good! The pork lard flour tortillas are AMAZING. And the pork for the tacos was cooked perfectly. Only tiny thing was the guac was super salty and 20% gratuity is automatic. Other than that, so good and such cute decor, will come back often

Good neighborhood slightly upscale Mexican food. The place is really cute. Light and airy. Hanging plants. Nice wallpaper. It’s a pleasure just to sit here. The food is very good if not inspired. The guacamole was a standout for the pine nut and salsa verde op top. The drinks were yummy. The entrees we had were not great standouts. (Cesar salad with smoked chicken and birra tacos). But certainly good enough to eat :)

This place is… interesting The food tasted delicious! Everything is sharable pretty much and everything we got was very hands-on, so make sure to wash your hands before sitting down. Example, they fry the entire tortilla and you have to snap them apart to enjoy the tuna (mkt) option. Build your own taco… it’s like damn, if service charge is included, you’d think they would at least build the taco for you. The service was… quirky. Very polite staff, eager to help, and although they were polite and attentive, it felt like they have a Hellen Keller style of management.. idk you’d have to see it to know what I mean. It’s been like that over 2 visits for some in our group. Atmosphere is instagrammable. Drinks were good. The frozen raspberry margarita was delish

The food is so weird here. We got the chips, guac, queso, and salsa. The queso was the best part! There were pumpkin seeds in the guacamole and the salsa was a bit too mild.(we didn’t know what to order, but should have gone with a verde) the queso was nutty and cheesy, made it very tasty. We sat on the patio, it was a warm night and was very comfortable.

Great food and service. I rated food 4/5 only because I feel the menu is very limited. I'm also not a fan of the mandatory 20% gratuity that this restaurant and others in Denver imposes on their customers. Otherwise, great place

C
Chris Twedell

Overall quite good! The tacos were pretty good. Nothing special, but really quite good. The queso fundido was the best part for sure and the drinks were pleasantly surprising. 100% worth a spot in the taco rotation but not quite at the top of the list. Service was top notch!

C

Food was good, but I’ve had better for cheaper in the Denver area. The service was not great, the waiter was most concerned with taking plates off the table than asking us if we needed anything. He tried to take plates off the table 4x when people were still eating, at one moment I had a fork in my hand with food on it. It was wild!! Not sure if I’d come back again, all of the appetizers were really good though. The guac, queso, and coconut rice were great. The tacos were not too special, especially at this price point.

N
Natalia Patterson

Birria tacos were tasty but we didn’t like their coconut shrimp. Wish their HH menu had more items on it and wasn’t as limited. The food is alright but a bit overpriced.

G
Gabrielle Bennett

One of my biggest pet peeves is when a restaurant tries to make tacos and Mexican food “bougie” and then actually makes the flavors worse while inflating prices. We had the HH nachos, HH Gordo crunch tacos, coconut shrimp tacos, carne asada tacos, and birria tacos. The happy hour nachos were one of the best tasting items we bought but they were $12 and a very small serving . The tacos came deconstructed which is super scammy because there was hardly enough filling for the 3 tortillas it came with. The coconut shrimp tasted great but again, overpriced and a small serving size. The carne asada was overcooked and the birria was fine.

We've eaten here a few times, food is always flawless. Apps, dips, tacos, and churros are all cooked right and are full of flavor. Four of us shared half the app list and each ordered different tacos. We each thought ours was the best thing on the menu. Their service has always been outshined by their food, but has never taken away from the experience. I'm totally fine with that. But the service we recieved tonight earned a top 5 spot on my most comically bad service list. At one point my 15 year old asked if we were on a hidden camera show. We had to ask for every core duty of a server; I mean the basics. Our silverware (after being served), first drink order, water refills, to get the check, to pay our check. We gave up on ordering a second round of cocktails. I'm a realist. Some times you get poor service. But the kicker was that when she came by with the final copy, she informed me that the service charge was already applied at 20%. This was the first time I've seen that for a party of four. 20% is my baseline for tips. 25% most of the time, and I've doubled that when the service was exceptional. I've only tipped under 20% three times in my life. Tonight was going to be the 4th. But she bamboozled me.

We had a wonderful dinner however the server had messed up my drink order and brought me the wrong drink. It normally wouldn’t be an issue however as a sober person she has brought me an alcoholic beer instead of what I asked for.It was super disappointing and really hope this doesn’t happen to someone else.

Very great place. But the bartenders have an ego trip. Walked in to get food to go. There was a guy with long hair/top knot that seemed flustered at a very slow 6pm Saturday: I ordered a marg and a shot. Took them 30 minutes to make tacos and ceviche. The guy with long hair made sure to drop my check before I even got my food, and was very rude for no reason. Also made sure that he circled the service charge fee. There was a bartender named Ryan. And he was helpful and treated me the way you should be at a restaurant. Don’t mind paying for what I get. But I don’t like people that create bad service.

V
Vicky B.

Good but they charge a 20% additional fee which was not conspicuously disclaimed in the menu nor upon arrival/ordering.

A
A D

Super excited to check this place out and felt the atmosphere was cool. They do disclose 20% auto service charge on the menu, then the waitress tells you this and says "anything additional you add goes to the server". I felt this meant "I expect a tip + the 20%" which is enough for me not to return. If you're going to charge an additional 20%, don't make the customer feel like that's not enough.

J
Jane Reuter

Won't be back. Overpriced, especially the drinks. Margarita was $11 and the tiniest I've ever seen! Photo shows the size glass it came in (hand for context). Like others, we found the 20% automatic gratuity annoying. I typically tip 20%, but that should be my choice. Wait staff was very nice; none of this is their fault.

S
Scott Fine

Michelin bib, really? They actually served me powdered eggs at brunch, and they were cold. My potatoes were warmish on the top, barely room temperature underneath. The bacon was amazing, and the guacamole really good too.

K
Kacee Strong

Food is decent but super expensive and very very limited menu. I also didn’t feel the coconut rice blended with the food served. I was not the biggest fan of how the food was served either. They put the entire tables order scattered on one plate and everyone picks off that plate even if you ordered different things. Atmosphere is cool servers were nice, but not worth the price for the casual college atmosphere.

R
Rudy Maestas

Tip 20% and 10% will go to the manager. Let this be a notice to any restaurant that automatically charges you a fee for them to pay their staff a living wage is not a good restaurant. Also the food is pretty mid at best anyway. Go support a locally owned small business where the food is made with love and not apart of a monopoly mission.

M
Maddie Zesiger

Poor service, rude staff, mediocre food, better to spend your money elsewhere. The manager with the portrait on her arm, incredibly rude. I even complimented her when I came in and it’s as if I told her I killed her grandma - she was probably the rudest person I’ve ever met. If you don’t like where you work, don’t work there. Point blank.

M
Mr. Glass

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I visited on January 27th close to closing time and received shockingly poor service. The restaurant was nearly empty—only two tables occupied (w/ couples)—and there was only one waitress on the floor. When we walked in, she was engaged in a long conversation with another table. We were seated directly behind them and were completely ignored for over 15 minutes. She clearly saw us enter and never greeted us, offered water, or acknowledged us in any way. The bartender eventually seated us, yet the waitress continued chatting instead of doing her job. I attempted multiple times to get her attention; she made eye contact with me and still chose to ignore us. Meanwhile, every other table already had food. We were not even offered water. At that point, I couldn’t help but question whether we were being treated this way because I am Black. I finally had to walk up to the bar and explain the situation. When asked to take our order, she did—only after realizing the bartender was helping us. When she eventually came to our table, there was no apology. When I told her we had already ordered with the bartender, her response was, “That’s better for me.” Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, a 20% service charge was added for two people, despite the fact that she provided no service at all and clearly anticipated receiving no tip. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Management needs to take this seriously. No customer should ever be treated this way. I will never return and will absolutely warn others to avoid this establishment. All we did was walk in expecting basic service—and were treated with outright disregard

J
John Killoran

They charge a 20% auto-gratuity that does not go directly to servers, bartenders, and wait staff, which is a pretty SHAMEFUL and shady business practice. Pretty disgusting. I hope the ownership group sells the restaurant and realizes they shouldn’t be in the service industry in any capacity.
