Amazing Experience at This Restaurant! I’m so glad I visited this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. The meats and appetizers were outstanding, and the presentation was elegant. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making me feel completely at ease. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a very clean and comfortable setting. This place exceeded my expectations in both taste and service. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back again!
Restaurant serving Mediterranean/Turkish food. Meat and the food in general was very fresh and very flavory, you can feel it is freshly cooked. The service was kind and polite. Waiting time was ~20min, which is great. We paid around 80£ per 3 persons which is a fair price. Upon our visit at 17:00 the place was not crouded at all. The only thing, I wish the music was more more Mediterranean/Turkish, as it would suit more the overall vibe.
Booked a table at Bistronomy176 ahead of our weekend stay in Edinburgh for the Tattoo. The restaurant did not disappoint. The food was delicious and fresh. We ordered the hot sharing Meze, grilled peppers with Feta, garlic bread, a portion of chips and Baklava for dessert. The service was 5🌟 Lovely to meet the friendly waiter Memet, who my husband was chatting to about his work trips to Turkey. He very kindly brought us Turkish tea on the house. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Edinburgh and most certainly recommend. Thank you for a fantastic meal and experience Bistronomy176😊
This is a cute and cozy place! We found it and visited on a Thursday evening. They had seats available and the service was excellent. We tried the special plater with 5 types of meat, rice, pita, and a salad. The service was fast and attentive. We felt very special and didn't wait long for anything. The food tasted delicious and exceeded expectations. We also tried the baklava which was some of the best I've had. There's not much parking around but it's very easy to walk to.
Wife had the chicken casserole, and she loved it. It came with rice and salad, both delicious. I had the lamb chops (4ea), it was perfectly cooked. We think it was a yogurt, dill combo sauce that came with the dish. My dish came with both rice and salad. This meal was perfect, service was excellent. We highly recommended this restaurant. No pictures, we so hungry we forgot until half way in. 5 STARS.
Came here last week and I highly recommend. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I would advise you to book in advance as it seems very popular, the place was full when I was in and also make sure you are hungry as the portion sizes are very generous 😋
Food portions very generous. Taste great. I had salmon, and they gave me 2 salmon steaks! Nice small family run restaurant with friendly staff.
This beautiful location is a local favorite as well as a must try for out of town guests. The care and quality ingredients used in each dish sets the Bistronomy 176 apart from the rest on the street. From the pickiest of our party to the most adventurous we were able to find dishes that not only delivered a flavor profile that was delicious but were vibrant in color and the temperature was perfect. Our beautiful backdrop of the rustic road made a perfect Edinburgh evening. The haggis here is unlike any we have tried. It was so flavorful and some of the best quality haggis. The sea bass was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the right temperature. They really stepped up for the gluten free and had plenty of options. If you are looking for a friendly place the locals frequent that has great food come enjoy the wonderful food make memories here. #glutenfreeedinburgh #bistronomy176 Bistronomy Rose Street
Such an amazing place, staff could not have been nicer to my hen party! Such quick service and the food wow. Everyone commented on how nice the food was! Thank you for a lovely evening . We will be back
Easter night out with my other half at this cosy restaurant with a lovely relaxing ambiance in Rose Street. The food was excellent. We had the cold Meze board a very generous size for 2. Husband had Spicy Cajun Chicken and I had the chicken Shish, followed by warm, sweet, sticky and flaky Baklava with ice cream (Delicous) . Service great and Staff welcoming and friendly. A hidden gem well worth a vist
Hands down the best food I had in Edinburgh. I had the Bistrnomy 176 special, which had a great sampler of their different options on the menu. Everything was grilled very nicely and the meat was very tender. The beers were also a treat as they were ice cold
A nice spot to eat on rose street. The spicy sausage was very tasty. The mixed meat plate was delicious, even the rice had great flavor. Service was good. Definitely worth a stop to eat
Stopped in on a whim and everything was a SMASH. Service, impeccable. Beer, marvelous. Food, extraordinary. My husband and I loved it so much we were compelled to leave a review so this spot doesn’t get overlooked by others.
Perfect food, the chef is number 1 in Edinburgh. Friendly kurdish people
The food and service were outstanding. We tried the special which had 5 kinds of meats with rice and pita. It was so much food and all delicious. It's just one block off the beaten path. It's quiet and cozy. An easy walk from the main attractions. Highly recommend. A hidden gem in downtown Edinburgh.
Have visited this place for greek food . Absolutely amazed . Prices are fare and the portions are huge . Soooo tasty . I’m sure I’ll recommend it to friends and come back if I crave greek food . Small and cozy cafe . Staff is super friendly and helpful . Atmosphere is like at home . Enjoyed it so much
Our first....but definitely not our last visit. Everything was perfect!!! The food was delicious, staff were outstanding and service 100% Can't wait to introduce my friends to Bistronomy
ordered salmon and fish&chips and it was delicious. portions were quite nice
Everything is perfect, foods are delicious. I ate Adana kebab and strongly recommend, even though I’m from Adana it felt like in my hometown. Workers are kind and smiling. Clean and hygienic. I recommend that who are willing to try Turkish foods.
Outstanding food. Delicious. Very friendly staff who interact. Cocktails lovely. I recommend the Old Fashioned. Great atmosphere. Lovely evening out.
The food is some of the best we have ever had! Really lovely place, intimate without being claustrophobic. If ever we are in Edinburgh again this will be our go to place. I would book a table to avoid disappointment. Thank you🤩🤩🤩
The food is delicious, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. Thank you for your hospitality; we will definitely visit again if we come back.
Wow the food was just amazing. I had the mixed grill and everything was so delicious. The staff were hard working and attentive. If I lived in Edinburgh this would be a go-to place for me.
Only had a few hot meze's but food was good. Went in early for lunch so was very quiet. We will return though
Great food and great service, will definitely go back for more of the delicious chicken shish.
What a great find! Husband had the mixed kebab and I had a chicken kebab on a roasted aubergine mix base. Both came with rice, salad, and bread. Tender and perfectly spiced. Really great.
> Bistronomy 176 delivers consistently good food with attention to detail in both taste and presentation. The flavours were refined and not overpowering, showing quality ingredients and good technique. Everything felt well-paced and enjoyable. A place I’d recommend for a relaxed, quality meal.
The food at Bistronomy 176 was well-prepared and full of balanced flavours. Each dish felt thoughtfully presented with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Portions were satisfying without being heavy. Overall, a solid dining experience worth revisiting.
Had a fantastic meal here last night. Everything was perfect! From the service, choice of drinks and the highlight was the food. I'll definitely be back with my family and would highly recommend.
Food was excellent, very tasty. Lamb Chops, best I've had in a long time. My wife had Chicken Iskender, excellent. Good service too. Well worth a visit.
Quantity over quality. Chicken shish lacked flavour. House red wine lacked flavour too. Frozen chips didn't cut the mustard. Service was great but all in all quality needs to improve
Food was good, although i think our meze board was missing wings on reflection and we didn’t receive our drinks. Went on Valentine’s day but booked a later table hoping it wouldn’t be busy, felt very crammed in and people constantly knocking things at our table. I think we would have probably enjoyed this more if we were out of the chaos but the staff are amazing and i would recommend going on a quieter day if you are considering it to really enjoy the cosy vibe!
The worst place I’ve eaten in a while. Drinks are served in warm cans, food is massively overpriced and was of cheap produce. I ordered the mousaka which consisted of vegetables in a cheese sauce, the tastiest part was the side of rice. Plates had chips missing out of them and the owner/ manager was on his phone watching Tik tok reels behind us on loud. Non of us had starters and the bill came to around £100 for mains, soft drinks and a couple of sides. Manager also stated “that’s not including service charge” whilst in the process of paying (absolutely not typical of any place in Scotland) and just ride! tipping should be at the discretion of the customer, however I assume they are targeting unsuspecting tourists. The place was also empty on arrival, which makes sense due to the above. All of us had bad stomachs the day after dining at this place. I have given 2 stars instead of 1 due to one of the staff members being reasonably polite.
Genuinely the worst meal I have ever had. The hot mezze had undercooked halloumi, suçuk and bossman chicken wings served over a soggy salad with oranges?! The calamari and falafel were clearly frozen and microwaved and the mains of chicken shish and lamb iskender were of a similar nature and were genuinely inedible. Nothing was cooked over a grill and nothing was fresh. Not authentic at all and definitely not worth the ££. Would not even feed this food to a dog.
