It's definitely a sports bar and was moderately full for a thursday night, yet still ample room and the atmosphere was nice (sports bar). The restaurant is well kept and clean. Bathrooms too. If you know you know. The wait folks we're tentative and busy yet relax and personable. We were there for the burgers for sure. Grok's best burger recommendation for El Centro Ca. I had a beer. Appropriately cold. We had the calamari and french fries for an appetizer. The appetizers were awesome. The boys tore up the fries. Fresh and hot! The calamari was very tasty. We all had burgers. One of boys had the chicken tenders. I had the five cheese, add bacon burger with onion rings. The wife had the teriyaki pineapple burger. I don't remember the name. All very tasty as well. One of the best and I think that should say a lot coming from a carnivore. Dessert the sundae... It's not for 1 person. Overall It was a little spendier but without a doubt, the food is definitely worth the visit alongside the atmosphere and service. We will be back!
Update: 11/20/25 I really like coming here to eat and visit with people I know. The food and service is really good. My only problem is the price increase for a burger. There gets to be a max out where a customer will determine that the price is not justified. That line is getting very close to being crossed. My only word of advice to the management: don’t wreck the golden egg you have by pricing your customers out. I won’t change my 5 star rating right now. I visit this restaurant a lot. They have really good hamburgers (multiple kinds) and endless iced tea. They bring out a pitcher of iced tea so you can refill your own tea. The service is good and I never have experienced a problem. The deserts are ok but add more to the bill. Update 06-24-23 Still 5 ⭐

I came in on Wednesday around 12 noon and the place is busy and friendly. I stopped in because they carry Happy Dad seltzer! The Wednesday special is chicken sandwich fries and a drink for $12.25 great deal. Each booth has a TV with a remote and this place is great to watch the games and get some good food and drinks. Plenty of parking and the service is on point very friendly and who ever is hiring the staff is doing a great job keep up the good work come in and see for yourself. I like that they bring you the condiments on the side chilled mayo, mustard, ketchup and ranch and some looks like thousand island in a little caddy. Huge selection of drinks on the menu and beers but Happy Dad isn’t listed I had to call and ask if they carried it. The food doesn’t come out fast which is a good thing that means they are cooking it fresh and made to order in order I came at the busiest time of the day. I’m impressed the sandwich was great a lot of thick fries and it was perfect! She even offered me a to go cup for my soda! Amazing highly recommend will be back as long as they keep serving Happy Dad hard seltzer. My servers name was Chyna.
Awesome sports bar. Great "views" IYKYK... fast service and the burger patties are unique with how their made. Tried a different burger each time for the 5 times I went there. So so good. If im ever in the area I will definitely go back again and again.
We were passing through town and I have eaten many times at Burgers and Beer at this location, but a long time ago. We found parking in their lot. Then, we sat at the bar. We missed the lunch rush so easily found seats. The bartender was right on top of everything. Drinks and food and clearing plates. Food was delicious! We both ate everything on our plates, which is not normal. We ususlly take home leftovers. Not this time. We each got a burger with a salad as the choice of side with Cesar salad dressing. Excellent experience!!!
We came here for the dog friendly patio and were completely impressed with everything. Victoria was an excellent server, the food was amazing and they even made a special photo op for a birthday we were celebrating. We will definitely we back!
I got the Calexico burger and thought it was very yummy! The burger was very big and I kind of wish that I had a steak knife to cut it but that's okay. There's good vegetarian options too.

In town from Texas on business, I took my work mates out for a late afternoon bite. Right off the bat, really nice sports bar feel type of environment, and food and service were superb! Give this place a try!

I’ve been going to burgers and beers ever since I was a little girl. My dad would always take us there and I remember thinking how cool of a place it was. And to this day it is definitely a Landmark in the Imperial Valley. Delicious food and good company. If you are lucky, you’ll run into someone that you know.
I stopped by this bar on a road trip through town and found the environment very welcoming to someone by themself with huge TVs all over the bar area and plenty of seating in bar and restaurant. Layla (?) was extremely kind waiter and was very attentive to my needs. I got the food and was given everything I needed by waitress. Very customer service oriented. The food was beyond delicious. Fries so crisp and fresh, the burger juicy and cooked perfectly. I would frequent here if I lived in El Centro. Very recommended!

We found the menu to be very extensive and interesting. We ordered the shrimp burger and 2 different beef patty burgers, fried pickles and fried nopales ( cactus). The food was decent, though for around $20 a burger I have had better. This is a sports bar, and it was very crowded on a Sunday, and very noisy. Good if you are a sports fan, and not so if you just want to enjoy your meal in peace like I did. Parking can be challenging on busy days, though we did manage to get a spot in the designated parking lot after circling it once.
Food is consistently great. Our initial server was quick and attentive. Apparently, her shift ended, and the gentleman who took over didn't say anything to us until we asked for her and were ready to pay the check. The restaurant is lively and upbeat with a bright bar area.

This is a take out review.. very disappointed. Burger was good but not amazing... def would not pay for it more than $8-10. I payed extra for the nacho fries only to discover regular thick fries dumped in store bought nacho sauce - which made the fries soggy. They ran out of Mac and cheese so they replaced it with 2 large pieces of chicken tenders... not the most appealing to kids, also shameful they charge $8 for this. The shrimp/orange salad was good but they brought it without dressing. Overall prices are way too high for this kind of cheap food. Even the salad was the cheap lettuce u can buy for $2. Will try to give them another chance but for this price better get Carl's junior.
