The food here is amazing! My gf found this spot on IG and we made a 40 min drive to try it out and we were glad we did. Everything tasted great, try the mandocas they hit different…the desayuno criollo is fire. For something sweet definitely get the sepillado it’s next level shaved ice with condensed milk or I think it is at lest.

As I was born in Maracaibo and raised on the eastern coast of Lake Maracaibo, I was used to the amazing food served by street vendors in the region. For many years, I craved that food and was unable to get it in South Florida. Charles and Larry had the authentic flavor I missed for so long since migrating in the mid-2000s. I recommend this place even if you're not from Venezuela. I recommend the Arepa Cabimera with Carne Asada and make sure to try the garlic sauce.

Amazing hamburgers, the one on the image is a Charlie's special with egg. It's humongous but its so good you might find yourself eating it. People there were super friendly and in a great mood. It's not Venezuelan food; it's maracucho. You may think it's not a big difference, but it is. Zulia cuisine is, objectively speaking, superior to any other in the country, or in the continent. Don't believe me? Ask any Zuliano. The food is the familiar fare of arepas, tequeños, tostones, rosquillas, empanadas, et al. They make great food to share with your panas, especially accompanied with Polar beer, and even some authentic thick, creamy chicha! Great for a late-night get-together with friends, to get some food to go, or to get that wonderful taste of the home country.

My wife found this restaurant on Yelp because she was specifically looking for empanadas near our hotel. It turned out to be a real gem! We both ordered the empanada sampler (I think that's what is was called - 5 mini empanadas) and one regular (chicken for me, cheese for her). Even though we spoke español bastante malo, the staff was awesome and we were glad we stopped in. 5 stars!

A small and humble spot across from FIU's Engineering Center, Charles and Larry serves up delicious burgers and so much more! The aptly named Charles and Larry Burger was juicy and cooked just right for my tastes. The saauces, cheeses, and toppings blend together well on top of an 8oz burger. The crispy fries served alongside the massive sandwich are just perfect for soaking up the mess that you'll eventually leave behind on the plate from the burger. Can't forget that Coke always goes well with a burger, too!

Burgers were cooked to perfection and the flavors were harmonious!!! Drizzle them up with some “house sauce” and it’s as perfect as a Venezuelan burger could be. I guess the only thing missing was a fried egg on top!! Needless to say, I could not finish my burger as it was waaaayyy too big for me to finish it (and I can eat!!) Five stars to the Maracuchos (Venezuelans from Maracaibo). I will definitely go back!

Their sample has so many delicious items like tequeños, fried plantains, fried potatoes, and empanadas. You have to use their garlic and cilantro creamy sauce on all of it! Their arepas are out of this world. The flavor is barely contained in the big portion of food. Wrapped in a fried corn “bread,” the shredded beef and tons of cheese just melts within. They give pico de gallo on the side and you need to add both that and the creamy garlic sauce on it! Their burgers are also very popular. It’s such a massive burger that could easily feed 2 people. The workers/owners are amazing. So friendly and personable, and everyone who walks in feels welcome. They even took photos and tagged us on their Instagram story! Really amazing experience from start to finish. I will say that parking is a pain. Very few limited spots are available.

Had the remix burger that brings chicken and meat. Really big. $20. 2 people easily eat with this. Tried the cachapa with meat it was ok. Tequeños are good $10. Kids chicken was ok. Papelon $4 was good. Karina was a great server. 2 tequeño orders 3 meals. 1 drink. $103 with tip. They charge you a $3+ for using a card and not cash. That wasn't too cool.

The place has good food. I just DONT like when I get a convenience fee and I don’t even know why. The waitress didn’t explain and I found out after I paid. She said a price and when I got my receipt it was a dollar more due to a convenience fee. She never explained I could pay in cash and not get a fee. She never mentioned the fee at all. Call me cheap if you want but if you nickel and dime every single customer you have it adds up. Sounds like a hustlers mentality, not hospitality to me. Food was good but I’m not going back, they can nickel and dime someone else. Prices on Google picture menu are about 2/3 of what the price is on the menu in restaurant.

Never going back to this dump. THESE ARE THE ALTERNATIVES I FOUND. I LIVE A VLK AWAY FROM THIS INE BUT RATHER DRIVE TO HELL INSTEAD. OF LEAVING MY HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THEM.

I went with my friend and she found a hair on her food while eating. They did not believe in us and did nothing about that. Don't get me wrong, I love Venezuelan food and people, but I will definitely go to other Venezuelan restaurants instead of this one.

This place’s serving size is CRAZY! We ordered, thinking that we would get a fitting dinner for 4 people. Not only did we not get that, we got a small meal, with mismatched portion sizes. It was so small, we thought we got the wrong order. If their customer service had resolved the issue, I wouldn’t be writing this review, but clearly, they did not. If anything, they rubbed salt into the wound. They refused to even give us more of anything that came with our meal, not even a singular fry. To say that we were disappointed today would be a total understatement.
