What a morning Buzz. The store is well lit. Good staff that will recommend drinks if you get stuck. For me an older dude the music could be more less hip hop. The Coffee was light and sweet just how I liked it. Open WiFi is good. People are in and out as it' is Thursday morning. I will stop by again for sure. Might need to bring my shades 😎.

No wonder this modern coffee house has 12 locations in SoCal - they have great food and drink, the ambiance and decor is casual and inviting, and the staff are super friendly. I ordered and absolutely loved the Feta Avocado toast, the Pink Dragon Smoothie, Caprese Sandwich and Matcha Tea.

Very good! I was excited to try this place and it was great! Busy but good and fast service. My whole family enjoyed their coffees and pastries. Cute shop and would definitely go back 🥐☕️

I liked this location. Tables and floors were clean and the staff was pretty friendly. I liked that they were able to make me a Cortado even though it wasn't on the menu. What I liked best though was that they were open in the evening where every other coffee shop in the area closed at 4pm. Will definitely be back

I recently visited Better Buzz Coffee in Encinitas and loved it! The Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew was smooth and perfectly spiced, and the pastry I had was fresh and delicious. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend for a delightful coffee break!

I highly recommend coming here for breakfast/lunch or just a quick stop in for coffee. Everyone that works here or is a customer is very friendly and has a great community vibe. The food is delicious and coffee is unique. Only complaint is that you will have to wait for a table since it’s busy! The windows open up in good weather to add more fresh air and is close to great shopping as well.

I recently visited the Encinitas better buzz store and had a great interaction with the manager, Bethany. She greeted me and had a smile on her face, and made my child feel special. Watching her interact with the staff, it was clear to see she enjoys her job, and is respected by and respects her staff members. Definitely recommend coming to this store and seeing Bethany.

Went on a roadtrip to visit California for the first time, and traveled down from LA to visit a friend. When we went in we were greeted right away before we even got to the counter. The person who greeted us was very nice, told me stories about the area, and gave me recommendations on places to visit while I was in the area. My friend and I had an awesome time. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat so she recommended to try their Snickerdoodle Latte and I think their one wrap that had chili. It was amazing. I think their person who served us name was Bethany. Sorry if that’s wrong I have a terrible memory with names, but was truly an awesome experience!

I love this location. Parking was available just outside the entrance. The Mexican mocha was made to my friend's liking; a hint of chocolate and not super sweet. I ordered a black regular coffee and the serving size was a lot bigger than I expected. They had free stickers that say Better Buzz which will go on my car. The Bee and sunflower decor make this a place to which I would love to come back. The time was late so maybe next time we'll stop for more than just coffee.

I have been a regular at Better Buzz for years- I work from their lobby almost everyday. I don't typically do technology, but one of my favorite managers is leaving and I just wanted to come here and shout her out! Bethany has been a ray of sunshine to Better Buzz Encinitas- all these reviews are not accurate as I have seen in day in and day out. She is constantly going above and beyond to make things right when the team does make a mistake- and always on the floor to support her team. She always responds by saying "hun" and "love" which is so cute and really shows me the community she makes at Better Buzz. Such a loss of her leaving!

Great lattes! Also lots of seating and longer hours than other coffee shops in the area if you want to stay and hang out!

I had a great visit to this Better Buzz location. I’ve been to a few other locations but this one has a great vibe and is an awesome spot to grab some coffee. Mackenzie F (the cashier and barista) was doing an amazing job handling both tasks alone, and she even took the time to help me choose the right beans. She was super kind, helpful, and made the trip all the more worthwhile. I’ll definitely be back and I love the open windows which allows air flow and chill vibes.

Came for breakfast at this cafe while visiting Encinitas. Our coffees were really good, especially the cold foams! A very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Gretchen and Mackenzie for making our visit.

Recently moved into the area and they have the best coffee around. Of which there are plenty of options to choose from and I keep coming back. Service is always great and friendly. Never had a bad time here.

I visited the Encinitas Better Buzz earlier this week, and even though I normally love everything from this company, the drink and sandwich I ordered just weren’t quite what I’m used to. I decided to call the store, not really expecting much since a few days had already passed and it was a busy holiday week. That’s when I spoke with Jackie, the store manager and truly, she changed my whole experience. From the moment she picked up the phone, Jackie was so kind, patient, and understanding. She listened to everything without making me feel rushed or dismissed, and she genuinely cared about making things right. She immediately offered to remake my order for free, which already meant a lot, but when I explained that I don’t live in the area, she went even further out of her way. Without hesitation, she offered to call another location closer to me so they could take care of it. She didn’t owe me that level of help, yet she still made it happen. Jackie was my first point of contact, and she’s the reason everything else fell into place so smoothly. Her kindness set the tone for this entire experience and reminded me why I love Better Buzz in the first place. It’s rare to come across someone in customer service who is not just helpful, but genuinely compassionate. I’m truly grateful for her, and she deserves recognition for the way she treats people. This level of care is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Huge thanks to her empathy, professionalism, and genuine customer service. She truly represents the company in the best way.

We’ve been doing a lot of reviews of coffee shops lately, but this one stood out, and I felt the need to say how great they were at the counter. I have a son who is indecisive sometimes and they were very patient with him. I also didn’t know what I wanted. Seems like it runs in the family. Either way Jacki was able to help me out. Got the drinks for everyone and got out the door pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop. They’re all really kind inside. I’m tired of going to the same coffee shops so better buzz is a refreshing breath of fresh air.

I decided to go and support my local caffeine dealer instead of my usual place and I'm so glad I did! The group was so energetic and nice! Great avocado toast, good vibes, delicious coffee. I recommend.

Cute coffee shop with good vibes and friendly staff. The yogurt bowl was delicious and the avocado toast had great bread and spread proportions (sometimes avocado toast bread can be too thick in my opinion). Drinks can be pretty sweet but they will lessen the amount of flavoring if you ask!

Great vibes and service!! Best drink is what is says! Go half sweet or An add shot if you like less sweet option. Ham and cheese croissant with egg is delicious!

Great experience with Better Buzz - recommend ordering one of their special drinks - and modifying it to your liking! The regular coffee drinks are just okay, their milky drinks are the go-tos!

First time ever at Better Buzz after seeing it popping up everywhere, and what a great experience! One of the best lattes and pastries I’ve ever had, and such a lovely team! I was helped by Bethany, who took such great care of my insane coffee order. Such a lovely human being! Will definitely be a regular!

Oh my gosh my favorite place ever!! Im obsessed with the snickerdoodle latte and the better breakfast really hits the spot every single time. There's a tall girl that looks like Jennifer Lawrence (omg sorry) and a short girl with tattoos that are absolutely incredible, but all of the regular workers are so nice!

I go to better buzz often and have always had a great experience! The manager Bethany is so sweet and always has a great attitude, even when super busy. Any time there has been a problem, she doesn’t hesitate to make it right. Definitely recommend going here!

My go to coffee shop! I love to walk over after my pilates and I always get my Best Drink Ever, and it’s made perfect everytime. I have been to other better buzzed locations but this one is simply the best! Love the team here <3

I have worked in customer service for 25 years, and today was my first impression of Better Buzz when I met someone from work at Better Buzz Encinitas. Baxter greeted me and had amazing energy! Then I saw 2 ladies on bar, I believe it was Gretchen and Bethany, who made an awesome impression! They were having so much fun and they made an amazing pumpkin chai. Definitely will be back! Thank you y'all!

This morning, I enjoyed another coffee date with my beautiful wife. This time, we ventured to Better Buzz Coffee located in Encinitas. We ordered the medium blend coffee ☕. My wife said the medium blend was blah. Better Buzz quickly provided her a dark roast, much better. The energetic ambience of Better Buzz wakes you up. There is good energy here, with music playing in the background. The coffee shop has large windows, which provide an open air feel. The shop is pet friendly. Parking is somewhat tricky. Yes, there is limited street parking in front, but there is also parking behind the shop. Better Buzz provided art work, so you know exactly what back door to enter. Finally, my daughter likes this coffee shop. Yes, I plan to enjoy more coffee here, and you as well should come and enjoy a cup ☕.

Tried three different drinks and all of them were way too sweet for our taste. We couldn’t finish them. That said, if you’re into super sweet drinks, this place might be right up your alley. Staff was nice and the vibe was good, just not our kind of flavor.

It is a chain so if you ever had the coffee you know the taste. Still they manage to have very good coffee. Only 4 stars because the place is always crowded and loud so not the most chill if you want to stay in. Great for to go and walking around downtown.

Awesome coffee shop overall, great atmosphere, excellent customer service, and drinks were delicious. Only 4 stars because I ordered a medium latte, and only half the cup was filled. While I was waiting for my drink, I overheard multiple other customers complain that their drink wasn’t filled up enough. I’d definitely go back, but I would make sure to explicitly ask for your hot drink to be filled all the way to avoid feeling shortchanged.

Love the aesthetic! Better buzz is such a cute local coffee chain. Easily recognizable by their charming decor. They have fun flavor combinations that will have you trying something new. Worth trying out if you're in San Diego

Aesthetically the place is beautiful. Great place to hang out on a nice day. Coffee was okay. Tried to order an iced drink and it became very overwhelming for the staff, which I thought was strange as a barista myself. Friend got the "best drink ever" which was just a super sweet Americano. Cool spot, doesn't live up to the price unfortunately.

I wanted to get some yummy coffee, and the place looked inviting with large windows, but unfortunately it fell very short of my expectations. The guy who was helping me was less than enthusiastic to be there, and it showed. The coffee — an Americano with coconut milk — was okay, but not a good Americano by any means. My friend ordered the iced mint latte, and I didn’t taste an ounce of mint in it. The coconut milk had no surcharge, but other non-dairy milks do. I believe it's a local coffee shop, but it felt more like a gimmick to me than anything else. It’s a very busy place and aesthetically looks cool, with lots of natural light, but my coffee didn’t meet the vibe of the place. Also, unfortunately, the place didn’t have any vegan pastry options. CC accepted.

I had high hopes for this coffee shop, based on all the reviews I had read, the online hype, the long lines, and the general Buzzy atmosphere, as well as the polished and unique aesthetic. I ordered the horchata cold brew, and sadly was disappointed. I don’t know how to describe it, but I have traveled to almost 50 countries to drink coffees from all around the world, and the coffee here just tasted very disappointing, very flat, and just very cheap. I didn’t enjoy the taste of the flavoring they had used in my drink, And perhaps worst of all, I wanted to order one of their famous breakfast burritos, but they were actually out of tortillas. I mean, being out of tortillas in this region of California is actually pretty crazy to think about. I would definitely not come here again, it just felt like a Starbucks with a different coat of paint on it, very solace, very lacking flavor, however, I really enjoyed how nice the staff was, and it did seem like a great place to work.

Not not sure how the espresso drinks or especially drinks are; however, their drip coffee tasted stale and burnt as if it was sitting in the pot for a long time.

Decent coffee but definitely hyped up too much. The toasts are pretty bad and low quality, açaí bowl is decent. No for-here cups unfortunately. This one’s a really busy location and they rush to prepare any food so the quality suffers more

I visit this location weekly, and I was genuinely surprised that it took 15 minutes to receive my drink. For the price, I could easily make my own coffee at home and work from the library instead. My drink was left sitting on the back counter instead of being placed on the pickup shelf, so I was left wondering where it was. When I finally received it, my hot coffee was already cold. The barista kindly offered to remake it, which I appreciated, but by that point, 20 minutes had passed. I’m not looking for anyone to be reprimanded — I simply ask that drinks be placed on the pickup shelf or that names be clearly called when orders are ready. The current system clearly isn’t working and wastes customers’ time. This is the only location I still visit in San Diego County after previous negative experiences elsewhere, including management ignoring serious issues with aggressive patrons. Please address this problem, or I’ll have to take my business elsewhere.

Coffee was good, but the gluten free muffin was dry. They heated the croissant in the microwave instead of the oven apparently, as it was soggy when we got it. Guy taking our order was completely clueless about the bakery items and talked so quietly we couldn’t hear.

The “Banana Pudding” Best Drink Ever was a big disappointment, not a good start for my first visit to this shop. Banana flavoring was weak and almost unnoticeable. I think there was a caffeine aspect to the mix. Whatever it was, it was not pleasant. The waver was typical taste. Service was fair. Not likely to go back there.

The really short girl with the black hair and the tattoos, she has had a horrible unpalatable attitude every time I come in. I’m not the type to normally leave a review but this has been every time I visit this location. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

I’ve been a fan of Better Buzz for years—what sets a truly great coffee shop apart isn’t just the coffee (which, to be fair, is still solid here), but the people and the experience. That’s what keeps customers coming back. Unfortunately, the Encinitas location seems to be losing sight of that. I visited the store this Saturday evening and was disappointed by both the cleanliness and the service. The front area where patrons sit to enjoy their drinks, chat, or get work done was dirty and clearly neglected. It doesn’t take much to keep a space tidy, but it looked like no one had bothered to clean in a while. Even more frustrating was the attitude of the staff. A simple question about whether the Wi-Fi was working was met with an eye roll and zero initiative to check or assist. The store wasn’t busy—no line, no rush—yet there was a complete lack of effort or courtesy. Customer service felt like an afterthought, if that. I’m a local and have supported Better Buzz for a long time, but if this is the direction the brand is heading as they continue to grow—detached staff and unclean stores—I’d rather take my business elsewhere. At least at Starbucks, I know I’ll get a clean seat and someone willing to help. Do better, Better Buzz.

Our family came in to enjoy a coffee together for a few minutes. The staff reminded us about a dozen times that they were closing soon. Once is enough. You were basically telling us to leave before it was closing time. Not friendly or inviting.

Manager at Better Buzz Encinitas needs to be changed IMMEDIATELY. From what I have learned and seen, Better Buzz will go out of their way to inauthentic their customer service experience. My friend had a terrible experience at this Better Buzz 2 weeks ago, and his review was deleted. This is an extreme issue and false advertising. If people go to a place that raves on about their good customer service but fail to deliver, expect some disappointed customers. When I came here yesterday at 8pm to get some tea after dinner, I was rudely told that “we close in 30 minutes” right after walking through the door with my husband. Immediately I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave, but I wanted to see more of what my friend was talking about when he had his bad experience here. Rudest and most entitled cashier I have ever come across, which is crazy because I only got a tea with honey. I used to come here a lot more often 2 years ago, and the quality of everything has gone down significantly. I genuinely feel like this is a management issue from within the building, because everyone who works there look miserable. Miserable workers come from a miserable manager, especially in food service.
