I had the Santana burger and it came with some delicious shoestring fries. It’s a good burger, the meat they use must be very high-quality because it is delicious. Max was attentive and made great beer recommendations. Their selections of beers is outstanding and I had the Belgian white ale and I’m coming back tomorrow for more.

Always a great experience. Great staff, great food, and an outstanding beer selection in bottles, cans, and draft. The specialty burgers are always delicious but don't forget about the fish tacos and the pizzas. If you order a burger, upgrade to the parmesan garlic fries. You won't be sorry.

BEST BURGER EVER. Be sure to upgrade your fries to garlic cheese ones, well worth it! Beers are cool as well and the place is very reasonably priced. They serve decent sized desserts too if you have a sweet tooth like me ;)

Yum! Stopped in on a whim for a burger. Snug place, love the vibe. Saturday afternoon, football was on. Huge beer list! I got a cherry ale which was delicious. We all agreed it was a perfect burger. Expert cooking, little crispy bits, char grilled flavor, and a griddled bun. 10/10! The pizza with sopressata, chili flakes, and those Italian tomatoes - dayummmm. So good! Our server was swift and friendly. Always appreciated! Glad we happened upon Encinitas Ale House. We'll be back. Delish!

This place is amazing and I almost don’t want to review it so other people can’t come. I would give this place 7 stars if I could. The burgers and beers are amazing. They have over 300 kinds of beer, including some rare, limited run series by Brew Dog, including Tactical Nuclear Penguin (which has 38% alcohol, or something like that!). The burgers are to die for. Everything on the menu is amazing. The only bad thing you can say about this place is that it’s not open 24 hours. They do have a plaque for people who come everyday over a certain period of time, and you could totally do it. Just an amazing hole in the wall. Totally worth visiting if you come to San Diego. Worth the drive from anywhere in the city or downtown. You won’t regret it. L

Can't believe it took me so long to find this place! Waitress was nice and even agreed to settle a discreet, hilarious dispute between my wife and I. It was nice of her to play along.

I’ve been coming to Enciitas Ale House for years and love the place because it’s truly genuine. Fantastic beer selection touching the best of the west coast (eg Pliny ) with amazing kegs from Belgium and Germany and a very deep set of bottles. But if you’re not a beer nerd, the food is great and the atmosphere is so-cal chill. Wish list: the rotating taps are true. I miss the game options like Elk and Wild boar on the menu. But maybe I’m part of the problem since I head to.the locally world famous burgers…I’ll be back again and again.

We enjoy the beer and burgers here. Service was great as always, however we were disappointed with the food this time. The french fries were cold and one of our burgers was extremely salty. They replaced the fries with hot fries but they were very salty. We will give the ale house another try but hope the cook reduces the salt.

Food was pretty tasty, but the service was atrocious. Our server was rude and messed up our order more than once. When asked about our food and drinks, she had a bad attitude. I typically don't like leaving poor reviews, but this place definitely deserves one.

It's a great spot but the food wasn't as good as the atmosphere. Especially for the price. The bathroom is outside.

Its not the place or staff. Its the fact that I ordered a burger and upon picking it up it fell apart and became a burger salad. Not impressed. Waitress said its because the buns are made in house. Then they should be less greasy and buns should be seared to slow saturation.

Came in on a Thursday 2/08/24 and wow probably the worst service I have ever received. Came in around 8:20pm, place wasn’t busy and immediately was greeted and the lady behind the bar got us drinks. It was me and my girl sitting at the bar. Things seemed super promising from the start, and then after her getting our drinks we never heard from her again. We understand that there was only a few people inside so probably the kitchen would be closed or closing early, whatever, but it would have been nice as we were sitting down if the lady would have communicated that to us. We then proceeded to see her walking around and closing up, not checking in, not acknowledging us again, and then towards then end, just tasting the beers behind the bar…wow. Since she never came back towards us or checked in we only did one round.. There was another lady behind the bar helping other folks out but never really interacted with. We heard her murmur under her breath something like “oh time to start closing” near us (and by never interacting with us, we felt more than like oh okay they want us out of here) and this is all about 8:40, y’all close at 9pm… then she helps her guests or whatever and says to two guys that it’s almost time for closing and if they wanna do another round. Never came over to ask us… until it’s basically 9pm and then was like “oh you want to do another”. They both saw us the whole time and my girl was beyond annoyed by this point because they saw her drink has been almost done for 15 mins, but then said are you sure you don’t want anything we still have to clean up.. felt so unwanted and rushed out.. There beers are great, but man coming from the service industry and seeing this type of service and having it, yikes, i hope y’all work on that.
