Pho Exeter

Jasmine was amazing! Really welcoming and accommodating to my gluten allergy. She was super efficient when taking plates away and was always close by if needing extra drinks etc! Would 100% recommended Jasmine as your server ⭐️

The food was great and the staff were extremely friendly. Our server, Khing, was very attentive and warm! The music was a little loud, but otherwise the atmosphere was pleasant. Really liked the warm lighting and dark wood furniture!

Visited this restaurant for the first time earlier today, we had Rianna as our server and she was absolutely amazing, super kind and fun to talk to! Phenomenal food, staff and atmosphere, and very fairly priced. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for some amazing food and service when visiting Exeter! I hope to come again soon <3

A friend and I had the most amazing experience at this pho spot, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Khing for making it unforgettable! Khing was knowledgeable about the menu, gave fantastic recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. She checked in at just the right times, kept our drinks topped up, and made us feel so comfortable and valued as guests. We will definitely come back.

This was our first time visiting. Actually really surprised by our food. The service/server Rianna was super friendly and very helpful with our endless silly questions. We had prawn crackers, spring rolls, curry brisket pho and a noodles dish. All delicious and has all the sides you need to add flavour.

A really fantastic server, Jasmine, was very attentive and friendly. The chilli beef broth was delicious today.

Jasmine was an excellent servicer and the food was really tasty. Had the beef steak pho and veg and pandan waffles with ginger and honey ice cream. I found the music a bit loud so removed a star from atmosphere.

Amazing food and lovely service, I have a gluten allergy as well and other than 2 items on the menu that contain gluten the rest is gluten free so it was lovely to be able to have a decent selection of food to choose from. Personal thank you to Chelsy for being our server and helping when needed.

Had a fantastic experience at Pho in Exeter! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Rianna was very friendly and attentive, adding to the great atmosphere of the restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Vietnamese meal in the area.

I love pho, I've eaten pho over the world, and where I live now and previously don't have Vietnamese restaurants so it's not possible to get. I live in Spain now and there is nothing like this nearby. I was so excited when I saw this place 'Pho' in Exeter, traveling the UK for work purposes for a few weeks. We went yesterday on Saturday and they were fully booked and rammed full. This is always a good sign at a restaurant. Today is Sunday I woke up at the hotel and still have Pho on the brain, so got ready and went down (a few blocks from the hotel) hoping to get what I was craving. The area seemed quiet and when I got there, the restaurant was half full and they were seat me at a table for three. My friends were right behind me. So excited by this poi tid already chosen my menu by the time my friends arrived. The starters were glorious, a taste explosion and as authentic as it gets outside of Vietnam 🤤🤤🤤. We had prawn summer rolls, lemon grass in pork meatballs, and morning glory, a perfectly spicy stirfried portion of water spinach. All absolutely delicious, full of freshness and flavours , the balanced heat of the chilli dancing around my lips and mouth. This is a good sign of a main dish about to arrive that should hit or exceed expectations. And it did not disappoint. A broth full of flavour and from the cooking of the beef brisket, perfectly balanced in depth, soft and tender meat, noodles, fresh herbs and a few small pieces of super hot Vietnamese chilli on the side and a handful of crunchy bean sprouts to top it off. One of the best pho I have had by far, I was genuinely beyond satisfied and surprised it was sooo bloody good. Highly recommend without and hesitation. What a difference. I’ve been several times this year and service has historically been slow and not the best. However they’ve turned it around. Katy served us tonight and was amazing. Super friendly, down to earth and polite. A really lovely dining experience and the food was just amazing. The curry is a hidden gem. So flavoursome and my favourite dish. Well done to the team - the service is so much better and a big shout out to Katy, what a credit to the team she is. Thanks for a great evening

Went here for the first time on Wednesday (my companion had been before but not for a while so it was like experiencing it for the first time again) and was very impressed with the food quality, the professionalism and courtesy from the staff and the overall atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely delicious! We have eaten a lot of Vietnamese in a number of different countries and this is tops! Scrumptious 😋 Went back again when returning to Exeter and again we were not disappointed. Had great and friendly service from both Elina & Chelsy. The jasmin tea is to be recommended.

The food here was brilliant. I really enjoyed the pork and lemongrass meatballs as well as the spicy bun bo hue soup with beef brisket. Chelsy was brilliant and had a great sense of humour. She was very helpful when I wanted to change me order. Thanks again.

My first time at Pho and I was so impressed. Exceptional food. You can really taste the freshness. Staff were attentive, efficient, upbeat and really friendly. Davide was an amazing waiter - he was efficient and really friendly and kind. Thank you so much for being so great, Davide! 🌟 We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here (part of my birthday week celebrations). Everything was cooked to perfection 👌 🍜 The chicken and shrimp rice was superb, as were the sides of chicken wings (best wings ever) and the crispy seafood spring rolls. I tried my husbands soup and it was so tasty. I particularly liked the courgette smoothie too (I love a good smoothie). This is my new favourite place - this is quality food and service, which is rare these days.

Got a take out from here when visiting the area. Ordered Beef brisket Vietnamese curry and 3 meat combo vermicelli noodles both were taste sensations and well presented. The brisket was cooked to perfection and the curry sauce had plenty of vegetables. The noodle dish had an unusual meat ball wrapped in a leaf and thicker noodles than rice noodles with a variety of flavours including mint x I would highly recommend both dishes x

Pho in Exeter, Devon went there 4th March 2023! Excellent service, excellent food! I used to see this restaurant but only tried it yesterday for a hot soup as weather was so cold and windy. It was so delicious and noodles didn’t make me bloat (i normally suffers with this every time i eat noodles hence avoiding this place). The stock was tasty. Everything we have ordered was delicious and we enjoyed it. People who worked there were really nice and helpful and happy, it really shows in their gestures that they like and enjoy working there! It was really nice to see their staff eating unhurriedly during their break time at the restaurant and eating the same food as the customers. It only means that food is safely made and the management treats their staff humanely and well! Awesome place and we will be back for more! Thank you so much!

I never leave reviews, but when a place is outstanding I have to. The food was delicious and excellent. Our server Chelsy was amazing! So good I suggest you request one of her tables. And the best part? It's dog friendly too!!! My new regular spot this winter. Thank you so much for the incredible experience guys... so appreciated. And the table you gave us was perfect!

Came to Exeter to visit and we chose Pho as previous experience was good. Ma Ma ( waitress) was lovely and so attentive with us, helped us each time we needed something and was super patient with our requests. The food was overall fine with loads of choices but the curry beef brisket was salty, you could barely feel all the flavours. Perhaps the cook had a very busy day 😁 I understand culturally some tings perhaps required more salt however, less salt would have enhanced all flavours. Thank you.

We had Rianna as our waitress, she took great care of us and quickly aware we were vegan. She was very kind, friendly and quick at ensuring we felt comfortable and were fed and watered! Lovely experience and we will definitely be back again!

I ate here with my partner and I got served by a lovely lady called Chelsy, she constantly met our needs, told us about the allergens as my partner is unfortunately allergic to quite a lot of ingredients. Ella was amazing, the food of this place is phenomenal and I finally got spicy food! Although there were so many people, the service was super quick and everyone was so welcoming. Ella helped me choose the dish and it was like a warm hug. I am going back in a food coma but it was totally worth it. Try the pork spring rolls, the curry noodles and you will fall in love with this place!

Went for dinner with my girlfriend last night, was served by the lovely Maddy, we were indecisive regarding which sauce to choose for our spring rolls and she very kindly suggested we can try both, she also bought us prawn crackers while we waited for our starters and was prompt and friendly throughout the whole service. Food was fantastic, and ambiance was nice, albeit the music only slightly loud - thank you kindly Maddy, you’re a star :)

Had a lovely meal, affordable, cheap and easy, rhe service from Rianna was top notch. Made us feel very welcomed and relaxed. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Love eating here as it’s gluten free. Pretty much the whole menu which is perfect so I know my meals are safe. It’s coeliac uk accredited. Perfect! Staff are lovely and helpful x Thank you to Rianna. Xx

Our servers were Millie and Rianna, they were wonderful (even more so for Millie because it was her first day!). They checked in periodically to ensure the food was up to standard, it was, furthermore they were more happy to chat about life/future plans (and listen to my mother and brother talk about their 'travels' (somehow still with a smile)) whilst still making sure other customers had their service not effected. Food was very filling and I recommend the Saigon Apple Cider for a beverage.

Came here with a friend and had one of their curries - honestly one of the best I've had. Full of flavour, perfectly balanced, and really comforting. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great too. Would definitely come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!

Lovely experience and nice atmosphere and great catering

The food seemed authentic and well presented. The service and staff were very very good. One of the best. Price was not too much but I guess a little on the pricier side. Peanut sauce was the best. I asked for some extra and got it right away. A couple of things not so good was: All the tables should have a set of cutlery so that the people who don’t feel comfortable with chopsticks don’t have to request cutlery. The person who went with me was a little hesitant and that’s where the small problem lies. Obviously fork and knife was given upon request later on. But if kept on table, would be nicer. The chicken was tough.. like really chewy, so that can be improved. Over all a very good experience. Loved it.

I would usually give 5 stars for food and atmosphere, but I struggled with the loudness of the music which they did turn down and I appreciate it's a Friday, also was a little disappointed in the size of the prawn spring roll, seemed like the ends had been cut off which reduced the usual size by a third. However we loved Kin, she was fabulous fun, kind and full of great recommendations, had a lovely experience because of her. Thank you

Sunday, January 18th, 2026. Travelled from Plymouth to Exeter just for lunch at pho, shame pho at Plymouth was closing down. So I booked at 12noon as the opening time and be the 1st customer, I was expecting the food came on time, and have for shopping. We ordered with the lady, the drinks came so fast and followed by the starter, but waiting 50 mins for our main course. It's really upsetting cos the family table of 4 who sitting in the corner got their food faster ( Include the main course) and they ordered a lot, so I assumed they skip my ticket in the kitchen. Also the gentleman sat alone in front of me waiting awhile for his pho soup. Really disappointed with the service, told 2 waitress at beginning to asked them whether they can get my food earlier, bcos I need to catch train back to Plymouth at 2pm. Than I have to ask again one more time to the guy. At least they gave us complimentary for the main course, I am really appreciated for the positive gesture. And hope it may not happen again in future. The food was perfect just the service unacceptable cos the other table with groups of family served first before me. Something wrong in processing the tickets as I am also working in food & beverage industry for 20 years, I'm not happy with the service. But thank you pho, you didn't charge my main course.

I honestly do not know where to start. Staff were not attentive at all and all looked like they wanted to quit. Ordered starters which included 3 seafood spring rolls. No seafood spring left... no problem, well have 1 summer roll, 1 pork spring roll and baby squid... no baby squid, no problem, we'll have 1 summer roll and 2 pork spring rolls instead. 20 mins later... The rest of the table had their starters accept 2 of us. Bearing in mind we are a table of 6. 2 pork spring rolls never came, so we asked... oh yeah, we ran out of pork spring rolls lol. We then ordered 1 chicken wings and 1 veg spring roll which arrived 10 mins after everyone else had finished their starters. Just to also clarify, the waitress confirmed the order with me 4 times. 4 TIMES!!!!! The mains - mains was another story. I ordered grilled meat rice bowl (3 meats). I was told they had no beef, no beef no problem. Well there's beef now! I asked if they can do the pork and chicken but bulk it up a bit and confirmed, yep, no problem. Please see the picture of what I actually received. Please bear in mind the picture looks bigger than it is but there was no more than 8 little pieces of meat on there. And by the way, 40 minutes after starters is when we recieved the mains. Before anyone comes back to me and says I should have made someone aware, no one asked.... how was your food or is everything okay? I just wanted to eat and be positive as it was a birthday celebration, but this has definitely annoyed me to put a review up. The end joke was that, there was a £25 service charge which was asked to be removed. I can't see me visiting again.
