This was an interesting experience for us - A & W Root Beer and KFC combined? We have no A&W near us in CT so we were happy to find this one while visiting Stormville Flea Market. Food and service were great!
It's fast food, but A&W feels higher quality than McD and BK. Service was epic. Order taken quickly and visible care taken in the prep of the meals.
Discovered this A&W while on business and definitely went for the fresh root beer float (missed this a lot) plus super crunchy onion rings in a light batter, almost like panko, unlike others that might be more starchy and thicker. These items paired well together as guilty snacks and treats after a long day at the office 🤓. Very Glad to run into this shop that had very very few locations around NYC and upstate areas, I think, so very glad to see one here. I saw this brand more often in Canada 🤩. And other items such as cheese curds were looking great too. Would try next time. Too much guilt to pack all in one go. I think A&W could stand for "awesome" 🤣 ... Oh almost forgot, this site was combined with KFC so the fried food items looked really good, might be better in a way 👍
great first time! shawn the manager was super helpful and nice to me and my boyfriend. got a great burger and fish sandwich as well as a root beer float which you can’t go wrong with at all! super friendly overall and would definitely go back!!
This place gets 5 stars for the cheese curds….Damn they’re good! Soft serve pretty decent for fast food, root beer float is pretty good, and if you feel like chicken it’s tied to a KFC which had one of the best KFC biscuits I’ve had (buttery and moist), but could just have been a fluke in the biscuit.
I haven't had A&W for years, so when I saw this on the map, we made sure to stop. The woman working was so friendly through the drive thru! Kids loved it (they're first time trying it). Our cheeseburgers were really good. And we didn't forget the cheese curds, except we should have bought a larger! The only thing that we didn't like was that WE forgot to order A&W root beer for our drink 🤦♀️

Great place to get burgers and fries and Fresh root beer. Bathroom are clean , it has it's own parking lot and drive thru .
First time at an A&W restaurant. The papa double burger was much better than a McDonald's or Burger King Burger. Much more meat. The rootbeer float was delicious. The price was reasonable and I thought the A&W bear mascot was really cute.
KFC's thighs are great. A&W has the best vanilla root beer floats in existence. The place has chicken specials, and it's easy to order online - BUT you can't get A&W stuff through the KFC app. Wait, it is not long. It was clean and nice but off the main road tucked away.
Glad there's still one of these around, A&W Restaurants are few and far between. This one is paired with a KFC (didn't have any of their offerings on my visit but I assume it's standard KFC). Had the Papa Burger, their biggest and some of the root beer that's brewed in store and it did not disappoint. The root beer tastes better here than from the bottle at the supermarket. Great views on I-84 on the drive out, too.
It was okay. Combo KFC and A&W place was clean. The oder taker was pleasant but quiet. For a fast food joint it seemed to take a long time to 2 chicken sandwiches. The fries were good and crunchy and tasted like potato!
I know it as KFC AS WELL. Everyone and everything was great except for the entry/exit doors. I'm pretty powerful and these doors take a great amount of strength to open . Doesn't matter whether you're coming or going. Coming in you could pull your arm out of its socket and going out its full body to push the doors out. Forget if your elderly or have a handicap. I'm in construction and whoever installed these doors needs cone back and make some adjustments pronto before there's a real emergency.
The ability to get A&W restaurant food as well as KFC is great. The root beer from the top is definitely fantastic! However, this location is always hit or miss when it comes to service. Been that way for years, it could be drive through. It could be inside ordering but it's always a problem. Sometimes you're waiting longer than you need to to get food or you get the wrong food. I still keep coming here because there isn't an A& W restaurant anywhere nearby other than this.
Went for ice-cream, long wait. Not worth it. Seemed like they were short staffed and under trained. Rootbeer float was good.
Tables were not clean and TV was too loud
The chicken nuggets were taken out of the frier too soon, so were oily and chewy. The fries tasted like they had been in frier oil that hadn't been changed in a while. Hard pass, will not be back.
Their fries are good, when fresh. I was not happy with the chicken strips. The strips were seasoned well, however there was no crunch at all. I believe making that slight adjustment would have turned the whole meal into a 5 star experience.
