This is one of the BBQ spots I find myself coming back to from time to time. The quality and flavor of the meat are well worth the price. Their watermelon juice and stair platter are must-orders, and there are plenty of other interesting menu items worth trying as well.
Came early for the ayce and they did not disappoint! Was very busy and kid friendly. My father and I are both celebrating our birthdays here, we’re already declaring it our new bday go-to spot :)
Really impressed with this KBBQ joint! I normally don’t like KBBQ that much because you get overwhelmed with boring cuts of meat that don’t taste any special from when you make it at home but GanHoo will marinate everything for you so that the sauce they provide is just extra flavor. I’ve never been to a KBBQ like this where everything actually tastes delish on its own! For AYCE It’s an absolute steal. ALSOOO their bbq is special in that it sucks the smoke and smell away right at its source! It gets sucked out to the sides before it even has time to rise. Normally you have to dress in your shabbiest clothes bc you know they’ll get ruined but not here!
Ganhoo BBQ is a good place to cook some meat with friends. The cuts were fresh, cooked up nice, and that tofu side was lowkey really good. Staff were helpful.
The food was tasted super delicious and fresh. The strawberry soda was great. The service here is also amazing. Will definitely come back again!
The best tofu everrrrr!!! The beef platter, marinated ribs, and wagyu fried rice are amazing! I love them. The fried calamari wasn’t as good as I expected, but overall great BBQ!
Best BBQ spot in Flushing in quality and quantity. I’ve been here for dinner for à la carte BBQ and even after ordering sooo much food and drinks, it was ~50pp. For lunch 12-4:30PM, they have AYCE which is also great! The grill is high quality and the smell of bbq is not as strong as others as they have good ventilation. Interior is also nice and spacious. Highly recommend!
Came as a party of 2 for some good kbbq. The meats were fresh and tasted amazing. We got the wagyu beef, brisket, and thick cut pork belly. Could not go wrong with any of the meat cuts they had. Service was quick and attentive when needed and I love their vent being next to the grill to lessen the smell of kbbq.
I visited this BBQ restaurant today and had a great experience. The meat was delicious , and the vegetables were incredibly fresh. The service was warm, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. My kids loved it too — they ate so much! I’d definitely come back and highly recommend this place to families and anyone who enjoys good BBQ.
If you want a place with great service and fresh food, Gan Hoo is a must-visit. The staff is very attentive: they switch out the grill when needed, refill water quickly, and even give complimentary plum juice. The restaurant is beautiful and relaxing, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. The food is high-quality and fresh. The beef tartare was so good that even friends trying it for the first time asked for more. The staircase display is fun to look at, and splitting the bill among six people made it affordable. The bathrooms even have built-in mouthwash and disposable cups. On my friend’s birthday, we got a free beef cake and a song from the staff, which was really special. If you care about good service, fresh food, and a nice atmosphere, why go anywhere else? I gladly tipped 20% and will gladly come back again in the future!
Gan Hoo BBQ in Flushing brings the art of Asian grilling to another level, combining Korean, Japanese, and Chinese barbecue techniques in a single, unforgettable experience. The space glows with energy the moment you walk in the sizzle of meat on the grill, the laughter from nearby tables, and the aroma of perfectly marbled wagyu filling the air. Every cut that hits the fire feels like a performance, with flavors that build as the fat melts and the edges char just enough to give that perfect bite. The meats are high quality and beautifully presented, from the delicate wagyu slices to the crowd-favorite “meat staircase,” a showpiece that always draws a few cameras. It’s one of those places where you go not only to eat, but to experience the rhythm of the meal the sharing, the grilling, the excitement of each plate arriving. The team moves quickly, making sure your grill stays hot and your table full, while the energy in the room keeps the night flowing effortlessly. It’s lively, modern, and unapologetically fun, a perfect spot to come with friends, film a few sizzling shots for your feed, and lose yourself in the flavors. Gan Hoo BBQ captures what makes New York’s dining scene so special that ability to transport you somewhere completely different while keeping its own bold personality. It’s the kind of place that turns dinner into an experience, where every bite reminds you why food is meant to be shared.
Everyone should experience GAN-HOO BBQ at least once! My first visit here immediately convinced me to come back for more. The food is incredibly fresh and perfectly complemented by a variety of unique spices and sauces. The staff is amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Trust me, there’s no way you’ll leave this place hungry!
Paradise for grill lovers! The meats are high quality with beautiful marbling just a light sear and they’re tender, juicy, and super flavorful. Shrimp and other seafood are fresh and bouncy. There are plenty of sauces and sides, the grill heat is steady, and the staff swap grates quickly. The classic Chinese-style interior is comfy and great for groups. Value is excellent: portions are generous and plates are big, so you don’t need to order a lot to leave full. Must-tries are the marbled beef slices and fattier cuts—best lightly grilled, then wrapped with crisp lettuce to balance the richness. Overall, tasty, great value, and I’ll definitely be back!
I want to say everyone should experience GAN-HOO BBQ at least once. My 1st visit here only demanded I return to enjoy the experience again. The food is super fresh & complimented by an array of optional unique spices and sauces. The staff is amazing and there is no way you will leave out of this place still hungry.
As the pescatarian friend would love to see more seafood options (at all KBBQ places) but shrimp was tasty and filling for me. We had just missed the ayce timing and did a la carte which honestly was probably the right move for us (nothing wasted). Service was meh even for DIY; every time we asked for napkins you’d think we were asking for cash…not sure what that’s about. Maybe BYO towel lol. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again but I’m also not a meat eater.
We were looking for a fun family Korean bbq experience in flushing and this was a direct hit. A good time was had by all as we cooked up meat and shrimp on the bbq and added our own mix of salt, pepper and bbq seasoning. The staff is super attentive, constantly changing out the bbq and refilling water. Bigger napkins would be nice, but everything is good here and it is very lively.
Gan Hoo in Flushing delivers consistently delicious food, with bold flavors and generous portions that make every meal satisfying. The dishes taste fresh and well-prepared, and you can tell the kitchen really knows what it’s doing. Whether you’re ordering classic favorites or trying something new, the quality is always impressive. The one area where the experience falls short is the service. It’s efficient, but very impersonal — more transactional than welcoming. You get your food quickly and everything runs smoothly, but there’s little warmth or engagement from the staff, which takes away from the overall dining experience. That said, the food alone makes it worth visiting. If you’re looking for great Chinese cuisine and don’t mind the lack of personal touch, Gan Hoo remains a reliable and tasty choice.
Good atmosphere, and high quality food, however the service wasn’t the best. Slow to serve, and had to request multiple items repetitively to get it. The size of the salad is ridiculously small for a proper Korean BBQ experience. However the quality of the meats and ingredients were very good.
