Not enough stars to give for the food, only let's me give five! All of the tacos were awesome. We tried every kind on the menu and the specials. The Al Pastor were my top pick. The salsa with chips is a fresh coarse salsa with lots of onion and tomato. The green salsa with my tacos was great, I meant to ask for more. Some of the people in our party had other items they said were good, but I don't remember what they were because they weren't those tacos. Mmm. The tea my coworker ordered looked weird. It was pink and looked gross, but coworker said it was actually great. I'm also from the South.
This place was recommended by a local and we absolutely loved it! Waiter was nice and on top of getting us our food and drinks. For a small town, this local Mexican restaurant provides the best service. We ordered the trio deep fried plate. For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake and apple-huckleberry pie, all made with local ingredients! Absolutely recommend for everyone!
We were here about five times over the course of a month. Food and service were both excellent. Fresh Baja or grilled fish tacos were always great (2 for $14). Chips and fresh pico de Gallo $5.00. Enchiladas were the best I had in town. Eating is inside by the harbor and we never had a wait. One of our favorites while we were here.
This cozy little place in the harbor doesn't have an ocean view, but it has the BEST salmon tacos I've ever had. That yummy mango salsa on top! Fish and chips are always great, too. Nice tiny little bar area. Oh, and probably the best clam chowder, too.
Freshest, best prepared seafood in Fort Bragg, not to mention their many Mexican and other south of the border dishes. Fresh ingredients and freshly prepared by genuine Mexican cooks. We’re local and are happy to call this one of our go-to lunch and dinner spots.
This was the first time we have stopped into this place. It was really good. My husband and I shared a wet carnitas burrito and we ordered a couple margaritas. The food was delicious and so were the drinks, the staff was friendly and efficient. We very much enjoyed our lunch.
We were hesitant to go in because it wasn't very busy at 4pm. We're we surprised. I had a dinner salad with shrimp. The lettuce was so fresh and the shrimp sauteed in alemon garlic butter delicious. My husband had shrimp and chips. The shrimp was large with a crispy coating and a delicious coleslaw. You are missing out of you don't try it.
I love when you find exactly what you was looking for. That's what just happens to me today st casa del sol. The food was excellent, and excellent service
Great food. Very flavorful. A lot of places don't have a variety of different flavors in one dish. This food was very good. The staff is very friendly and not overwhelming. If you want some great mexican food I definitely recommend.
This was on a whim. We were actually heading to another restaurant on the harbor that turned out to be closed. We could not have been more thankful that it was. This place looks like a little hole in the wall, and serves food like an upper tier place! I had the Fish and Chips and my husband had the California Burrito with Chicken. The portions are a great size, so make sure you're hungry when you arrive! The house made tartar sauce is TO DIE FOR! I'm super sad that I didn't ask to buy any togo, because I am going to miss it!
Small hole in the harbor, mixed in with the typical cod shacks this gem had some amazing cod tacos. The salsa was what set it apart. Reminded me of the good fish tacos in cabo. But with fresh local cod. The bread bowl clam chowder was good too. My wife is pretty picky about too clammy tasting, because of the freshness she couldn't tell it was loaded with clam . Hallelujah. Great pick.
This place was perfect for us as we were looking for seafood. The staffs were super friendly, the food wait wasn't long, and the food was spectacular. My daughter ordered Shrimp Scampi, my mom ordered Chicken Fajitas, and my husband and I ordered Brazilian Seafood Stew which was delicious, full of flavors, perfect balance of seafood, veggies, and rice. All 3 dishes were super good. The desert was also really good, flan! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for local food.
I only got takeout, so I didn't spend much time inside, but it seemed nice. The neon signs on the windows are pretty. I only got the side of french fries but they were delicious. They were steak fries (thick fries).
This hidden gem is quaint & simple in its appearance, but the upscale menu choices, presentation and quality was an incredible culinary experience. The Calamari was fresh and not rubbery, the addition of the fried lemon slices was genius! The seafood pasta ranks up with the best I’ve had in Cape Cod. The bold choices by the Chef will surprise you for sure. My wife’s Shrimp Scampi was loaded with garlic and other spices that did not over power the meal. Skip the pasta with the Scampi and go with the mashed potatoes you will not be disappointed. The Flan was INCREDIBLE! 5 Star meal in a 2 star wrapper. A must try when in the region.
I must be depressed now that all my kids have left town, I haven’t been my normal posting self. Maybe you guys like that better 🤔😢. Met a friend for dinner tonight I hadn't sat with in forever. We talked a lot about ideas to help the community grow and where we think we could help, it might have cracked the 🧊 around me. We chose Casa Del Sol where I hoped to see Blue Cheese Fries🤭. The restaurant occupies the old El Mexicano space and I’m sure others, we’d love to know. Its very pleasant aesthetically when you walk in leaving you with a relaxed homey vibe. The staff greeted us quickly and were very forthcoming answering questions about the menu, and their service was spectacular. The portion sizes were large and the food perfect. We tried the Brazilian Stew and the Camarone’s Ala Diabla. Both dishes were super flavorful. They shared the salsa de habanero with us, I am a fan- nice heat. It had been a minute since I’d been there and now I’m glad it’s back on the rotation. Only in Fort Bragg The Pudding Creek Trestle Noyo Harbor District #eatlocal
Glad we found this little Mexican restaurant off the beaten path. The service was absolutely great and the food did not disappoint. I’m a big fan of Mexican food but chose to go with the fish and chips as it looked so good and received rave reviews at the table next to me. I was more than happy with my decision but my wife’s tacos gave me some FOMO. She thoroughly enjoyed her tacos and would get them again should we return to the Fort Bragg area. The parking lot is a bit small but there’s street parking if you find that there’s no available spots.
We moved to Fort Bragg a little bit over a month ago. We were looking for a good Mexican place to eat and found our favorite spot at the harbor. This place is the best you will ever taste in Mendocino County! Everything is freshly made. No canned ANYTHING! Authentic is their middle name! Don't leave Fort Bragg without tasting their exotic cuisines. We highly recommend this place.
I'm gonna hit this lil place up with a 5 star yup that right 5 star do hand these out to much but this place was awesome. They didn't let us down, the food was fresh and tasty oysters were amazing. I'm a chef I know what I'm talking about. Staff was friendly and also helpful with spots we were trying to find for beach visits and trails. Great place to hit them up if you are in town.
I visited on Valentine's Day with my parents. Wow, what a killer menu! Every appetizer looked amazing - we went with the bean dip this time and were very happy with our choice. The beans were sooooo flavorful, and all of the toppings made it seem like deluxe nachos. Pictured are my entree, the enchiladas suizas, and my mom's, the lemon caper rock cod. My dad had the al pastor tacos special, but dug into them before I could take a picture The restaurant itself feels bright, open, and welcoming. The area down by the harbor is very cool. Highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious Latin twist on luxe-feeling seafood!
This was such a gem! We ordered the Brazilian stew and shrimp scampi and both were flavorful, filling, and delicious. They have a few wines and a good assortment of local beer. Excellent choice for groups and not fancy. Great service as well!
I had shrimp Camarones (Excellent. They nailed the flavor and heat level spot on.) Sister had chicken enchiladas. Turned out perfect. We loved the service and atmosphere.
The food was delicious and the service was great. We both had Cioppinno and it was definitely worth the $35 cost. We will be going back on our next visit. There are no views of the harbor, but we were good with that.
Excellent service. Delicioussssss food. This place. Stop scrolling through the reviews here and just go eat and see for yourself. We ordered two daily specials which were crab enchiladas and seafood stew and they were absolutely amazing. Had oysters for appetizer and the sauce that came with it was emmmm so good. It’s not cocktail sauce. I usually write long reviews, but all I can say about this place is go eat there and let them take care of you.

Authentic Mexican food. Owners are nice and the place is clean.
Best Fish tacos that I’ve had since moving to Fort Bragg 14 years ago! My sister and I shared a seafood platter, and the fried scallops were the best that I’ve had in my life! The service was friendly and impeccable, and the atmosphere was warm and charming. highly recommend, and I can’t wait to come back.
I found my new favorite place to eat in Fort Bragg, CA. I had their vegetarian enchiladas...and I'm in love! Literally. Their food is incredibly well seasoned, when enjoyed all together. What I mean by that, is that their food is a balanced symphony of flavor. Grab a bite of the enchilada for example, and add their rice. Perfection. Then try a bite with their side of black beans and experience deliciousness. And their prices are not too much, just right. ONE GRIPE: Uh... the habanero salsa was creamy, spicy and flawless. But for my 'to go' order -- I brought home ONLY two tablespoons of bliss. I need a pint! Nope. I need a gallon! Great place! In the words of some movie action hero, once Governor, body builder persona -- I'll be back!

This is a cute little seafood Mexican restaurant. It also offers traditional options. I ordered fajitas, a combo of steak and chicken. The flavor was good, but the meat was cut into small pieces versus the traditional strips. It was accompanied by black beans and rice. No sour cream, guacamole, or salsa. I did ask for salsa and was nicely brought a good size serving of Pico de gallo. My husband had Etouffee. It was very good and hot.
First time here, my shrimp tacos were delicious! I also ordered fish & chips they were also good but the tacos were definitely my favorite. FYI they charge a service fee, I am assuming it was due to the group size plus tax & tip. I can’t think of any other place that has charged me that fee or maybe I never noticed!
Casa Del Sol is one of Fort Bragg, California's best Mexican restaurants. Believe me, I have eaten at everyone of them. What sets them apart is the imaginative way the chef takes standard recipes and turns them into works of food art and taste. A burrito becomes a taste explosion of flavors and spices. My favorite dishes are the prawn offerings. From Camarones a la Diabla to the sauteed white lemon and garlic cream sauce prawns.. Be sure to have the bean dip as an appetizer followed by the seafood platter with generous portions of prawns, fresh caught cod, and huge scallops. This restaurant is a step ahead in the culinary delight of Mexican food.
We went on Taco Tues. The seating outside was clean and spacious The weather was beautiful and sunny. The tacos were amazing. Too big to pick up and eat. Had to nibble on the ingredients inside to pare it down to be able to pick it up. The fried cod taco was so fresh, light and crispy. Definitely going again.

I'm surprised by the almost 5-star rating of Casa Del Sol. Overall, I think the restaurant is decent but the dishes in my opinion were nothing special/memorable. I definitely had better Mexican dishes elsewhere. Maybe this is the best Mexican food in this area? Detailed Review: Location: This place is located in Noyo Harbor and is towards the back end of the harbor. They have a dedicated parking space with a decent amount of spots. We had no trouble parking here. Restaurant: The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Service: Waitresses here were extremely nice and was attentive throughout the meal. Water/Drinks came out quickly and were refilled when low. Food was also brought to us relatively quickly after we ordered the meal. Great service. Thank you! What we ordered: 1.) Enchiladas Suizas with Chicken ($19) - Pretty large portion size as they give you 3 Enchiladas with a good amount of Rice/Beans. Again the food is decent but I didn't find anything memorable. The rice and beans were nothing special and felt like something I could prepare myself. The chicken enchiladas were better and did taste pretty good with the green sauce. 2.) Fish Taco Plate ($17) - Same Rice and Beans as the Enchiladas Suizas so nothing extra to talk about here. The fish tacos tasted a bit bland and my girlfriend had to put a lot of salt / pepper seasoning to give it more flavor and more of a punch. We didn't particular enjoy this dish. Although this place was recommended to us by our Hotel Check-In staff, I don't think we will come here again. I think there is better food around this area to try out.

Got charged $180+ for 8 tacos, 1 burrito, fish n chips and loaded nachos. Over $45 in mandatory tip + credit surcharges (I had cash, but it wasn’t an option) Burrito fell apart and was 80% beans The rest of the food was good, but it got spoiled by the obscene costs, average service (initially we were the only ones there. No water refills, had to ask 3 times for napkins). Will never return to a place that forces a mandatory tip on you despite offering subpar food and service.
The woman behind the bar here was very rude and dismissive about a wine spritzer saying they only served wine and then pretended not to speak English. When her male co worker happily made the drink she spoke in Spanish and shaded him so much he didn’t smile or offer utensils or napkins for the to go order. She clearly has job impunity and no care in the world about customer service unless it flatters her or something. I love their food but she needs to get a grip it’s customer service and I was completely nice and smiley until she tried to make me uncomfortable on purpose.
Loved the food . But a sure charge for 3 people 26$ & change what up really! Because my sister walked in with us we told the waitress b4 we ordered that we were separate checks my sister was charged 16 that was so expensive we couldn't tip our waitress who was very good when questioned the owner got defensive said its that way everywhere in california I travel alot sorry not charged a sur charge for 3 people in a party pretty greedy they wouldnt give us a break not cool too bad lost a customer

We were a large group and had reserved the restaurant for the evening. I was genuinely excited to try this place, especially after hearing it was a local favorite. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the rude behavior of our initial server, Melisa. When I politely asked for a beverage, she pointed at me and snapped, “You have to wait.” I completely understand if the staff is busy, but there’s a respectful way to communicate with guests—this wasn’t it. Thankfully, another server, Karina, stepped in and provided much better service, which helped salvage the evening. Still, the overall impression was soured by that first interaction. For a place that’s supposed to be known for its hospitality, being treated so poorly—especially when you’re paying for the experience—makes me hesitant to return or recommend it to others.
went to eat here with family since we were away at Fort Bragg for the weekend. We were craving Mexican food and thought this place would be a good spot. However, our waitress was extremely rude and inconsiderate. We were very nice and patient, so her hostile attitude toward us came by suprise. It’s understandable that the food industry is a lot of work and energy, but taking that out on your customers is NOT OKAY; It wasn’t even busy. This restraunt needs to do better. If I could give negative stars I honestly would. We even left a decent tip despite the bad service.
My family and I were on a fun road trip to the ocean when my granddaughter needed to use the bathroom. We pulled into the only parking lot we could see with plenty of free spaces. I stayed in the car while my two daughters and granddaughter went into the restaurant to see if they could use the bathroom. A few minutes later they came out of the restaurant and my youngest daughter took my granddaughter over to pick flowers. As my oldest daughter came towards the car, the restaurant owner followed behind her yelling at her to leave. The owner informed us that we were “loitering” and needed to leave. My daughter informed her that we had only been there for a few minutes and she had gone inside to find a bathroom for her daughter(an employee inside told us we were allowed to use the bathroom). The women continued to harass us and use fowl language in the vicinity of my granddaughter. My daughter continued to try and explain the situation and told the owner that we would leave as soon as my granddaughter and other child had finished doing what they were doing(harmlessly picking wildflowers to put in my granddaughter’s hair). The women also called my daughter awful names in front of her child. As soon as the owner of the restaurant was farther away from the car my younger daughter brought my granddaughter over and began to put her in her car seat while the women took pictures of our license plate and called the police on us. Looking back now I understand why that parking lot was so empty. I will never support this business especially because owner continues to act like this.
Did not eat here but by mistake walked into their lot and got yelled at not to park there by a rude waitress . Also didn’t park by there either. Definitely would not eat there. Also not directly on harbor.
Great food, but I called to ask if we could get a table at 6:30, and was told “maybe.” When I explained that we didn’t want to travel to the restaurant without knowing whether we’d be able to be seated and might have to go elsewhere if not, she hung up on me. Extremely rude and bad business practices.
