Hands down my favorite spot, period. My husband and I are locals, and this place is truly one of a kind. The selection alone is unreal—over 650 beers, plus seltzers and craft sodas you won’t find just anywhere, and 20 rotating taps. The coolest part? Fridges line the walls so you can grab whatever catches your eye, hang onto the can, and pay at the end—honor system. It makes trying new things fun and effortless. And then there’s the food… next level. My go-to is the buffalo shrimp (absolutely addictive), but the Carolina pulled pork sandwich deserves its own spotlight—the sauce is to die for and the pork is cooked perfectly. My husband usually goes for the Reuben or one of the pizzas, and honestly, we’ve never had a bad bite here. We’d eat just about anything on the menu because it’s that good—and reasonable. I try any new sour beers and there’s a huge section for that. My husband loves trying some new fun beers they get in and also goes for his favorites from founders brewing. We love mahou a beer brewed in Spain that they carry so we usually grab some of those while we are there. Kid friendly, date night, family night, friend gathering - suitable for all even bring your dog. If you love great food, an insane drink selection, and a laid-back, unique vibe, this place is an absolute must.
There is a little hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale that feels like home every time I walk in, The Riverside Market Cafe. My friend Mayor Julianno owns it and runs it with his two sons, and this place is the heartbeat of the neighborhood. It is a market, It is an eatery, It is a beer paradise. It is everything good about a small community spot. They have over five hundred different beer selections, Five hundred!!! You could spend a year here trying a new beer everyday and still not repeat yourself. They even have amazing nonalcoholic options for anyone who wants the vibe without the buzz. I have practically grown up inside this place during my twenty four years of yachting. Riverside has been my landing spot, my refuel station, my hangout, my comfort. I have eaten my way through the menu and listen if you go you need the barbecue pizza. Chicken, Barbecue base, Mozzarella, Red onions a Thin crust that snaps just right. It is one of my favorite pizzas in all of South Florida. Riverside is a locals only kind of spot but you can be silly and be a tourist and walk right in. Everyone gets treated like family. You can come for the pizza. You can come for the beer wall. You can come because it just feels real in a world that feels filtered. If you want a place with character, community, and cold beer, Riverside Market is your stop. #RiversideMarket #FortLauderdaleEats #TheChefsView #CraftBeer #HiddenGemFL
This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home and the food makes you feel like you were down by the water. It’s a hidden treasure for us locals and it’s a 10/10 do anyone wondering. You will never regret coming here for a bite to eat or some good drinks! They also work on an honor system and that’s the staple of our community here in South Florida. Be kind and enjoy the love!
If you find yourself in the Fort Lauderdale area and you want to experience a very cool locals joint that's off the beaten path. Check this spot out. Lots of beers from everywhere on hand from cans to bottles. Some offered on tap. Lots of other beverages as well, both alcoholic and non. Food items are available, such as pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pretty much something for everyone. Breakfast served all day. Very chill atmosphere with various odds and ins hung from the ceiling and walls. Cool bar seating available as well as table seating, both inside and out. Customer service is awesome! Go, chill, drink eat and have a great time! Cheers!
Unassuming spot with a great selection of beers! I tried the Watermelon Girlfriend from Prairie Artisan Ales — highly recommend if you’re into sours. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which was excellent, and my boyfriend got the bleu cheese burger and loved it. The fries were perfectly crisp, and the food came out fast. We’ll definitely be back!
Great place! The best pizza in the whole world! Believe me! Justin, the man! BR from Bota’s friend from Serbia
They offer a huge amount of different beers and other types of beverages, in a very laid back, tranquil atmosphere. The food is tasty, and the service on point. Recommended!
Loved it! This is an old stomping ground for over 20 plus years. My wife introduced this to me when we 1st met and I have to say it's the same now as it was back then. Some of the best subs in town
True locals spot, love coming here. All of the food is great but the pizza is the best in Ft Lauderdale. Employees/owner are always friendly and awesome. Definitely the best beer selection in the tri-county area...maybe all of FL. As the kids say...it's a Vibe. Dog friendly. My father-in-law had one N/A beer and loved the place so much that he talked to me the most he has in 13 years the last time we were here. That's saying something. Support this place, it's the real deal.
Hidden Gem we found by accident. Great beer selection, good food and friendly people. This is a place you could go to by yourself and come away with friends
Great neighborhood spot with an enormous beer selection. You simply grab a beer out of the fridge and sit down, no need to wait to start drinking. The food overall left a bit to be desired but at the size and price point there were no complaints from us!
A very chill spot to be at in my opinion. Gives off how a speak easy should be nowadays , low music no loud conversation just a pizza slice in one hand and a beer in the other. Very enjoyable, would definitely go again
From the outside, the place isn't much, but the inside is very fun and welcoming. The selection of beers is truly amazing. Ouroʻ waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about their selection. We had the Mahi tacos, and they are by far the best I have ever had. Unfortunately, we are from out of town and won't be back after this visit. But if we did come back, we are making sure to stop here again!
This place was great! Lots of kitschy things all over the walls and ceilings to talk about. Huge and eclectic selection of beers and ciders, even non alcoholic for the dry guys in the bunch. The food is also delicious! My girl said the jalapeño poppers were the best she's ever had. She even ate the side jam by itself. I had the Ruben sandwich which was messy and delicious! I would definitely recommend the Buffalo dip as well. Servers were very friendly, and the entire place had an overall welcoming feeling. I could see myself coming here regularly if I lived here!
The Riverside Market Cafe is a hidden gem that offers an incredible experience for anyone looking for great food and an impressive selection of beers. The food is equally excellent, offering delicious options that perfectly complement the drinks. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Visited Fort Lauderdale this past weekend and was fortunate to stumble into the Riverside Market Cafe. On the outside, doesn't look like more than a dive bar, but the atmosphere inside is absolutely incredible. Extremely friendly service and they offer an excellent selection of all kinds of beer. Our party ordered a Margherita pizza, buffalo shrimp, and fried pickles. All of which were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be heading back there on my next trip to Fort Lauderdale!
Great hidden gem of a location. Huge selection of great beers, bites, relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff.
Fun place! Go with a big group and you and all your friends can pick any beer from the coolers, it’s a self-service and trust concept that you’ll pay at the end. Food is great and well priced, that part is handled by awesome waiter's. Feels like the neighborhood hangout.
A must try if even just for the experience. Everything you ever wanted in a little neighborhood market. In another life it would be my dream.
Great local spot!! They have a RIDICULOUS amount of beer! All of the coolers are filled with different beers in every row and column! They have beer opens hanging from the ceilings and some funky decor. They have an array of wines as well, comfy sofas, and traditional board games. I was surprised that they are open for breakfast, and they make some BOMB breakfast sandwiches for cheap (I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant). They also known for their pizzaz and homemade hummus platter. I highly recommend the garlic flavored hummus - I know it sounds weird but I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Great intimate cafe where you hang out for breakfast, lunch or a snack. Huge selection of beer on bottle, can and tap. The place operates on the honor system where you grab your own beverage and then pay as you leave. Cool place for groups! The food is okay, nothing to brag about, but that is to expect in a smaller, family owned place like this.
Best place in town. I love it, one of my favorite places! Best wings ever
Awesome service, even better vibes! The food is better than you’d expect. This place has some personality
What a great selection of beers and ciders to choose from and supporting small businesses too. Pizza was on point. Staff was frand attentive. And the patrons were fun and friendly.
Delicious food, a warm and welcoming staff, and an impressive selection of craft beers. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and a fantastic drink selection!
Great food and amazing selection of beer! Morgan is super friendly
With what I'd say is the best beer selection, in all of fort lauderdale. Easy, relaxed atmosphere. Great to just try some beer and have a good laugh. Diverse crowd with no judgment kind of people. All just wanting good tasty easy meal, laughter and a lucky dip on the drinks. Since there are so many options. Highly highly recommend. Not expensive either. Unless you get a silly bottle of beer that is expensive
Nice small place with a big selection of craft beers.. seating inside and outside. They have a cool honesty policy where u keep your cans and take them to the register when you're ready to pay. I didn't know they served food til I got there and I didn't even expect much food wise but I got hungry so I ordered a North Fork sandwich and I wish I took a picture of it because it was a beautiful thing. The young homie in the kitchen was throwing down. 🫡🤝
Victoria! Such an honor. What a wonderful soul you have. Thanks for taking care of us. Kitchen team. You Rock!!! Amazing guys :) Gracias, gracias, Gracias!!!
This place is like Cheers if Cheers had the best craft beer selection in the world. I felt like a kid from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It's a temple to the glory and majesty of beer. The food looks solid, too. The hardest part is choosing which of the fine brews in cans or bottles to take from the coolers (or from the draft bar). I always wondered what the hype was about this place. Then upon entering I immediately got it. It's a casual and friendly place and positive vibes are felt all around. I would recommend an Uber of Lyft so you can experience the beers in all of their glory, some are very strong.
So much fun here. A genuine gem in the Fort Lauderdale WEST Las Olas area. So grateful, a local took me there. Food was beyond excellent, the beer choices= LITTERALLY an entire wall size beer full refrigerator to choose from. The tacos were fresh shrimp and beautifully presented. Will definitely go back here .
What a cool place, you just open a cooler and grab a beer and sit down and drink it and then after you're done, you just take all your bottles to the cashier and check out. They even had Oktoberfest in the middle of August! 🙌
I love this place - great beer, great vibe, old Florida, good food and a wonderful attitude! Go there. Trust me. You’ll never forget it. The only bar where I’ve ever bought their t-shirt! My most recent visit was on an evening when they were serving 3 beers from Florida Keys Brewing. All three were outstanding! And we had regular power outages. Everyone just kept moving along, the cash register line moved a bit slower, the food came a bit slower but no one skipped a beat. If I lived within 20 miles of this place, I’d be a regular!
Cool little place with a huge selection of imported / domestic beer. Food was great. Prices were very reasonable. The kind of place you would just drive past unless you knew to stop. Worth a visit.
Love this place! Super chill, grungy rock bar vibe. Walls lined with glass station style upright beer coolers. Good is decent. Atmosphere is chill with communal tables.
The most laid-back, charming little bottle store (with food!) tucked away in the cutest neighborhood. Come-as-you-are and grab a quick beer (or two!) with some friends or even solo and you’ll have a good time. Very casual environment. The food is also SO cheap! I got the wings, they were massive, and sat here with a big group after a bike ride. Staff is very welcoming.
I am amazed how great this place was, from the awesome atmosphere, to the amazingly friendly staff. Selection of beer is incredible here, and the food was finger licking good, I had the pastrami Reuben Sandwich and damn you can’t go wrong at all, had my taste buds buzzing, the waitress topped it off with a side of Tabasco mixed with sriracha sauce for those who like a little spicy on their food. An awesome spot in a low key spot, a must visit when in Ft L, you won’t regret it!!
Absolutely loved this spot for lunch during our stay in the area. We had a variety of food over the time period: black and blue burger, pulled pork sandwich, nachos, fish tacos, wings, and chick peas. Everything was good, but the wings were a bit dry. Our favorites were the burger and pulled pork. This place has a very chill atmosphere, the staff are friendly and chatty. They have an ultimate beer selection and play reggae and 90s music. Highly recommend this spot for good food and great vibes.
Been coming here since it opened and the collection of drinks is great. The atmosphere is super relaxed and the welcoming too.
Cool Concept ~ Great Service ~ Good Food This place is really cool especially if you like trying new niche beers, canned cocktails or hard selzers. They have a wide variety of any kind of drink you might want and it’s all self serve from their fridges. We also had some food here. I had the pastrami sandwich and my brother had the caprese salad and the breakfast sandwich. The food had a cafe feel to it and was good. Jared, our server was really helpful and attentive and the service was excellent all around. I would definitely recommend coming to this place!
I have been coming to this place since about 2015! My wife and I would come here when they would close once the last person would leave. That rule has changed but the ambience and homey feel has never changed. The food is definitely a mix of your favorites and you can always find something you would like for all types of eaters and beer drinkers! Most people come for the beer, which there is plenty of! If you are a beer connoisseur this is your place but don’t sleep on the food! My favorites are the pastrami or Reuben sandwich, but people love the pizza! It’s a little doughy for me but I won’t deny a slice. Actually I think that’s what makes there’s pizza special a little under cooked! Regardless, the vibe and serve yourself vibe is the best! Come in grab a beer and enjoy!
Hiw can you not love this place. It's our "neighborhood living room" We visit at least once a week. The atmosphere and people are wonderful here.
Great Neighborhood Hangout Visited several times including yesterday, so figured it is time I shared something. I believe this is the go-to place for craft beer however we do not drink much though my husband enjoys an occasional glass of sparkling wine. The vibe is casual and fun. The walls are lined with coolers where you help yourself, keeping the empties for checkout. The Honor System seems to work and is wonderful. That being said, there is no poor service, you will always have a cold one when you are ready. The seating is communal and the outside tables are actually in the parking lot but it all works. There is sofa seating and large high tops, all communal as I said. Photos attached. I am old now so I have not visited after dark but I hear it is lots of fun. I have enjoyed the pizza and the breakfast sandwiches but have yet to completely explore the whole menu.
This little hole in the wall is adorable. Tucked in the middle of a quaint neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale. They have 100s of beers. It works on the honor system, you go get the beers you want out of the cooler and pay at the end. They have a chickpea appetizer which is wonderful and the pizza was amazing! They have games that you can sit and play in a living room typesetting it's just a really cool atmosphere
Riverside Market will forever be one of my all time faves. Incredible craft beer selection with local and international options, classic bar food menu, and plenty of board games to play. This is the place to go with a good group of friends who want a cool, casual place to hang out. It’s usually only locals as it’s hidden inside of a neighborhood. This gem has been around for about 16 years and has remained consistent throughout its reign. Prices are cheap ($4-8 per beer) and it’s on the honor system. No waiting to place your order, no bad service, no annoying crowds.
Loved this place. It's what I would call a dive bar, but in the best way possible. I can't drink (medical thing) but if I were a beer drinker, this place would be awesome. They have these huge coolers with cans of what seemed like at least 100-200 different kinds of beers. The guy I was with really enjoyed the few different kinds he had. And, for non-drinkers like me, they had a unique selection of bottles and cans of sodas, etc., way beyond the typical Coke and Pepsi stuff. The drinks are self-serve, so you can just peruse the large selection. Great place.
Really laid back and chill place. Best selection of craft beer anywhere in Broward. I highly recommend Riverside Market.
It's been a tough year, so I dropped by Riverside Cafe to relax and gather my thoughts. As I sat comtemplating my existence and the meaning of life, I couldn't help but notice the amazing selection of beer. There must be 500 different options. It's just alot to think about. I mean, it's already a challenge to figure out why am I here; what's it all about; is there a god? And how about these subs? The delicious "Section Ate" ham hoagie with everything was life-affirmingly melt-in-your-mouth good. Anyway, I've heard that the number 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything (seriously, google it), but it wasn't the answer to 'how do I pay for these very reasonably priced drinks and food'. Had to use my Visa for that. Looks like I need to do more meditating. But a big thumbs up to Riverside Market. Loved the food and service. 👍🥪🍻
Great deep beer selections. It's an honor system, grab open and enjoy. Very comfortable inside and nice staff. Didn't try the food, but others seemed to enjoy it. Comfortable seating inside. Located in a neighborhood between North and South fork of the New River area
We love coming here, the food is always good and the service is amazing. The beer selection is top notch and it just feels like home. The patio is so kid friendly.
It was very nice but the smoke from the pizza place next door is apparently a "normal" thing and covers the entire block. Good food, good vibes. Take a beer and pay when you leave. Excellent selection of options.
Always one of my favorite local joints. Right in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale (and where the original started) is this funky bar/restaurant/to go place. A million beers to have here! Amazing pizza, plus a whole bunch more food and the staff here are the best! Friendly and make everyone feel at home. This place is one of the many reasons while I love Fort Lauderdale! My hometown.⛱️🌴🌞🏳️🌈🛥🌅🐊🐕🐾🚶♂️🚴♀️
Fantastic lunch, great staff, and excellent food. I’ve been coming to Riverside Market Cafe for several years and have enjoyed watching it evolve. This trip was my first in 18 months, and I brought a true “foodie” friend from New York with me. He was genuinely impressed by the food quality, selection, and prices. Over the years, I’ve seen the ups and downs of the operation, but I’ve never had a negative experience. This visit, however, was exceptional—friendly, attentive staff and an atmosphere that simply can’t be duplicated. Thank you all. Cheers! 🍻
Ssssshhhhhh! Keep this local gem tucked away to yourself. Don't go by if you are in a hurry... this place is to be experienced. The food... takes T I M E ... but use it as an opportunity to peruse the extensive beverage collection: beer, wine, seltzers, ciders, craft soda... yes! Don't come for mixed drinks... its not that kind of place. Delicious cracker crust pizza. Quality meats on the sammies. Bring a good laid back attitude and just sit a spell and enjoy yourself.
Only go if you want the real old time, local, native Fort Lauderdale feel. A tiny friendly, laid back, casual atmosphere where you can go in your flip, flops and shorts and choose from just about any beer you can think of. Pizza is great too!
Loved this place. I mean the guy at the register definitely needs to smile more lol. But the vibe of the place is dope. A hole in the wall spot but the variety of beers, the concept , the prices area reasonable. Definitely a recommendation type of spot. Would totally come back.

Stopped here for sandwiches and enjoyed our lunch overall. Some of the tomatoes were slightly rotten which was annoying. The concept for grabbing any beer you'd like was pretty cool. Beer prices were a bit more than I expected!

This place has one of the best beer selections in all of Fort Lauderdale, hands down. The vibe is super chill, with a laid-back crowd just there to enjoy good food, laughs, and maybe discover a new favorite brew from the huge list. Prices are fair too, unless you grab one of those fancy bottles, you’re in for a good time without breaking the bank!
Love this place, there's outdoor seating and they have a diverse beer selection in the coolers as well as local beers on tap. The great part is you just grab a bottle open it and sit down, no waiting for someone to take your order. Very casual and inviting. Staff is friendly and helpful. They serve food as well plus there's a pizza place within walking distance that you can bring back but try their food first.
Definitely a vibey local dive. Expect a more hip version of the dive bar experience. Great music, chill hangout couches and a HUGE selection of craft beer. The food was decent for how cheap it was. Still dive bar food though. The sandwich was only 5 bucks! It’s very self service oriented, but the staff was nice. I felt at home when they said “you can get your coffee right there, and I’ll pull out the half and half for ya.” A decent local hangout
Cool little spot in the middle of nowhere of a neighborhood. The bar uses the honor System when buying beers, which means you can walk up to any of the 6 fridges and get any beer you want out of them. The beer selection is pretty impressive ranging from local to imported European beers in various bottles and cans. You pay when you're done at the end of the night. I ended up ordering a pizza which was decent. This bar is recommended for anyone who enjoys beer and a chill atmosphere.
My friends and I are convinced they changed the pizza recipe. You used to get tavern crispy, my last few have not been even when asked for, floppy crust and other have said the same thing. Love the place, cool spot, great local joint. A character place!
Saw the review for this by @barstoolsports, also for The pizza Spot, which was my first choice to try, but after their review they are closed for a week??? Weird move..anyways back to Riverside Market...it's a great pizza, flavor is amazing, upper crust had a perfect char, but the under was not char'd at all, maybe the heat on the bottom needs to be higher, being from CT all other pizza is just striving to be in the to be 4th place after Wooster St...Riverside Market called into my top 10
Cool place some locals let us know about... glad they did because otherwise it's a bit confusing for a first time. The beer selection is insane. Never been to a place before where it's "self serve" - grab the beer and then bring up the empty at the end to pay. Pizza was really good too
This place is amazing, and off the beaten path. The pizza is highly rated, and Riverside has a selection of at least 250 beers to help wash down that pizza. Its a small, quaint location, with leather couches, and barrel tables to play games on while you chat away a weekend afternoon.
So this place is great , a huge selection of drinks , help yourself and hold on to the empties to pay at the end . Literally over 100 beers to choose from. A really nice place to hang out with friends. I did have a large pizza , unfortunately it was burnt, way too salty and not very good. Still a great place to hang out.
3.95 out of 5. Cool place, in a fun little pocket of FT. Lauderdale. Self service beverage market and small no frills menu that services the plethora of cute and "kitchy" airbnb properties in the area. Fish tacos and Turkey BLT pictured where both decent and fairly priced at $10 and $8, respectively. I would definitely return if I was in the area but I probably would not make a special trip.
A great selection of all types of beers for that itself I would've given it a five star. but honestly they can improve with the service and the food quality but definitely a great place to chill. This place has alot of potential if they do some changes.
True definition of a hole on the wall. Tricky to get to, and does not look like much from the outside. Great beer and food selection. Food tasted great, especially the fish tacos! Prices were very reasonable. The go by the honor system which was unusual but very nice to see that it still exists.
At first when I parked, it was creepy. Located in the cut of a not so good area. Pizza was surprisingly good as I was referred by a co-worker. Garden salad was also good. The only problem I have is the price for the portion. Blaze pizza is the same price, but more filling for half the size of pizza. There were only 4 choices available to choose from which I think is odd for a place with good pizza. Btw, a bag of chips is $2. 🤦🏻♀️
