This place was ok. I didn’t really know what to expect bc I got takeout and a bogo deal. I ordered the steak and shrimp duo. Got the sirloin 6 oz., shrimps, french fries, and fresh broccoli with garlic butter. The portions for takeout suck. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was very flavorful and yummy - easy to cut. The shrimps were ok. They just tasted like any other fried shrimp. I got two big pieces of broccoli and they were alright… they were soft so it wasn’t too difficult to eat. I was hoping for more though 😭 The fries were ok. They got bland after eating a couple of them.

First Visit—Landon was warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful, great host—very hospitable. Liz anticipated my every need and brought Ranch with onion rings and refilled iced tea without me asking!👏 Good Lunch Menu served till 4pm! Rodeo Ripper Burger is huge and delicious as were the onion rings. Iced tea fresh brewed! Vibe is a bit bland, but it’ll do—a face lift will help and better lighting. Plenty of parking. I’ll likely be back again.

This was my first visit here, and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience! Our group of 13 arrived around 8:45 pm and stayed until about 10:20 pm. Since we were a large party, we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation if you’re coming with a big group. The service was a little slow at times, but the staff was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The menu has some great options, and I personally recommend trying the dinner combo for two—it’s a fun way to build your own course and try different flavors. The vegetables were fresh and delicious, though vegetarian options are a bit limited, which is understandable for a steakhouse. Overall, we had a wonderful time together, enjoyed the food.

We went for Thanksgiving. Had reservations but they had that all wrong for the 2nd time in a roll. Make sure you keep your texts and confirmations for proof. Waiter started okay but went down after getting drinks. Had to ask others for refills. Waiter didn’t announce upgrade prices when ordering our sides so that was a surprise. I know they were extremely busy but at the same time they could have done better. No smiles. Some employees were rude. We won’t be back again for a while for sure. It will be longer from last time when we were there.

The food was okay. The steak was overcooked. The steak was supposed to be medium but was overcooked. I couldn't even cut it with the knife. The waitress barely came to our table to check if we needed anything.

What a disappointment! I went along with my family to this place. I wanted to go somewhere else. Anyway the food manager gets a BIG-G-G FAIL. They ran out of their traditional Thanksgiving food. I ate steak for Thanksgiving and no sage dressing — just mashed potatoes. Their green beans were hard and terrible. No turkey left. Very poor food planning. What a letdown!

I came in with low expectations, and unfortunately, they were met. I sat at the bar and looked over the menu while the bartender hustled nonstop to keep up with customers. When he finally made it over, he apologized for the wait. I ordered an Old Fashioned since the beer selection was almost entirely domestic. The cocktail was untraditional and poorly presented, though it did have decent flavor. A few minutes later, I was given a warm loaf of brown bread with whipped butter, which was nice enough that I decided to skip an appetizer. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye, requesting it cooked to medium, since the menu indicated their “medium” tended to come out closer to medium-rare. While I waited, the bartender continued working hard, balancing orders and pouring drinks without much support. Meanwhile, the rest of the staff seemed more interested in joking around with each other than helping out. Their banter wasn’t just distracting—it was unprofessional, with one of them even tossing out slurs. At one point, someone pointed out the mountain of dirty glasses piling up at the bar, laughed about how much work the bartender had ahead of him, and then went right back to goofing off instead of lending a hand. When my steak arrived, it was cooked all the way through—well-done instead of medium—and completely unseasoned. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The food fell short, the service was unprofessional, and while I didn’t expect much, I had still hoped for better.

Boy has this place gone downhill! This location became the de facto Black Angus after the one in Lake Forest closed. I have been frequenting it for the past 15 years. This time, the experience was so bad that I may do away with Black Angus altogether. 1. It seems they forgot to clean the floor. Or, the bus boy must have cleaned the tables by wiping everything to the floor. After seeing how dirty the floor under our table was, I walked around our area for a cleaner one. Underneath every table was dirty. 2. The seat was worn down. The springs were too soft, causing me to sink so low that the table surface was almost to my shoulder. The fabric was also showing its age. Thankfully, though, it didn't have any holes or tears. 3. The AC was not operable on a hot and muggy day. No one bothered telling us about this when we checked in. I found out while we were being seated, when I overheard a patron, who had seemingly asked about the uncomfortable temperature, being told about the failure. (Supposedly the service guy was working on it, but one would expect some progress by 7 pm, when we showed up.) 4. The bread is no longer served on a wooden board. And no bread cutting knife. 5. The Wagon Wheel Sampler has shrunk. Less shrimp, smaller pieces of chicken and no more celery. 6. We experienced a rather long wait (about 25 minutes) between our starter and the entree/main course. 7. Manager never showed up to apologize to the patrons or thank them for enduring the uncomfortable conditions.

The service was 10/10, the atmosphere was good too, but the food was SO BAD. EVERYTHING was very underseasoned, very oily or greasy. Literally not one item tasted that good. The two meals we got were NOT WORTH $100. I can think of a lot of places where I can eat better food for less than $100. I’m terribly disappointed in the quality of food. Please save your money and calories and go somewhere else. To be fair, the staff did a great job though! Very attentive and waiter was on top of stuff.

I would strongly encourage you to retrain your staff on maintaining professional and respectful communication with delivery drivers. The drivers are independent professionals, not your employees or children, and it is concerning to see them spoken to in a condescending manner. Give them a minute to do their job before implying they’re thieves or imbeciles. I witnessed this behavior firsthand and found it inappropriate and unprofessional. Based on what I observed, I understand why delivery drivers may feel dissatisfied and unhappy in their roles. I will be reporting this matter to the relevant food delivery companies for further review.

Black Angus Steakhouse was a complete disappointment. It took over an hour and a half to get my order, and when it finally arrived, half of it was missing. This wasn’t during a rush either, the restaurant barely had any customers. I genuinely don’t understand how service can be this bad with so little going on. Long wait times are one thing, but missing items after that kind of delay is unacceptable. No urgency, no accountability, just excuses. Experiences like this explain exactly why this place feels like a dying restaurant. I won’t be ordering again, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting even basic competence.

Avoid This Place If You Value Your Health I ordered what was supposed to be a “filet,” but what they served me was nothing close to an actual steak. It was almost entirely fat, easily 95%, and had such a strange texture that I honestly don’t think it was beef at all. It looked and tasted like something completely different, maybe even organ. It was inedible and honestly made me feel sick. Why would they ever serve this quality of steak. If you have to go here, get the burger.

I visited with two friends to try the $25 special, but unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience with our server, Candice. While taking our orders, one of my friends needed a bit more time to choose his side dishes. Instead of waiting, Candice left and didn’t return to take our orders for another 20 minutes. We clearly asked for the $25 special, but she charged us $36 plus tax without confirming the price with us. Thankfully, the supervisor was able to step in and correct the bill. On top of that, she forgot our desserts. When we politely reminded her, she responded with more attitude.
