I really loved the food, everything was great! The portions were generous, very tasty, and I also appreciated that some of the staff spoke Spanish & is pet friendly
My family had breakfast there for 10 days. We adore this cute restaurant. The menu is creative, food is delicious, service is warm and customers are friendly. You have to try Farmer's Scramble and Mexicali Benedict.
Let me tell you something. Bills is great. Super nice people and service. Very good food and my family really enjoyed the drink and the lemonade was very foot too. They are very generous with the portions and the food is delicious. This is one of those places you love and don’t wanna rate online because you don’t want others to find out about it because it’s SOOOOO good
Great experience at Bill’s Cafe. Friendly for groups or families. Food was great, simply made my day.
Maria Luisa always takes such good care of us. She goes above and beyond to make sure we’re well serviced and that the food quality is top notch. We try to get her every time we go!
Great local spot for all meals ! It’s bright and clean and always amazing help! Shout out to the whole crew! Daniel, Diego, Reena, Romo and Nick and everyone else are like family!! Anything I ask for they are happy to help !! Foods always tastes amazing, praise to the chefs in the back working hard too!! Spread the love!! It all comes back !! Great works guys !!! Amazing place !!!
This popular family restaurant has large tasty items even the half order mini benedicts and omelettes are satiating. Our 4 generation household are becoming regulars here because of their diverse menu. Note: ADA compliant for parking and dining in is easy by just sliding our mother's wheelchair in place just like another chair.
Fresh squeezed orange juice - delicious! I got the salmon Benedict, but English muffin instead of bagel with cream cheese. Then got a pancake to load up carbs in preparation for my mid-morning workout. Coffee is good too with lots of refills. I went right at 7am on a Sunday and what a great start to my day. Looking forward to coming back next time to explore more of the menu. This place has super staff too. It was neat to watch them roll into work and work as a team as the customers ramped up. The place is in a A-frame structure and had good brunch vibe to it. Oh, if need a bloody Mary or mimosa, they got you covered with choices too Bon appetit!
BEST BREAKFAST SPOT EVER. I came here on the weekend. It was pretty busy so I recommend calling in advance like I we did. I had the hash brown skillet and upgraded to the pancakes instead of toast for $2 wow. You will not regret that upgrade. The BEST pancakes I’ve ever eaten in my life. I initially got them so my friend can eat them because I’m not a pancake person but man they were absolutely delcious. My friend got the Oreo pancakes and I got the Hawaiian pancakes. So yummy!!! So worth the wait. also, the hash brown skillet was scrumptious I believe I got the veggie hash brown skillet and I requested no cheese or sour cream but it comes with it. There were lots of veggies. Definitely worth the money and Absolutely delicious!
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here, you check in with a qr code or using their website, which was pretty convenient. The eggs Benedict, the pancakes, pretty much everything was delicious. My only critic on the food side would be the hashbrowns. The orange juice tasted fresh which I really loved and the food came out pretty quickly compared to the crowd they had. Definitely worth the visit if you want to enjoy a breakfast with all of the fixings.
Extraordinary mrunch menu with well crafted mimosas. The thought put in for the food and the presentation is very appealing. Finally the taste of the food is very delicious and overall it's a content experience. Amazing place to hang out with friends on a weekend. Kudoos to the entire team!!!✌🏻✌🏻
The best hollandaise sauce I've ever had! Even my girlfriend, who has never liked eggs benedict when trying before, loved it. Speaking of surprisingly high quality. Out of curiosity, we tried the Parisian French toast. We usually avoid French toast because it tends to be a bit soggy in the center, but because this one was so thin, we gave it a try. No regrets here! The croissant was soft and buttery, making the batter's flavor saturate through. The thinness of the slice ensured it had a proper cook throughout with a crisp outer surface for a very satisfying texture. Love this place for breakfast! Have yet to try their lunch items, but excited to do so another time.
Great local chain. Food is always great, portions are huge, and drinks are tasty. This is my first time at this location. Came at a Sunday around 11:30 and we got seated in a little under 30 min when go seated in 30 min which is amazing. Their yelp wait list said it would take an hour so we were very happy. The portions here are huge. I got the mini SBC (spinach, bacon, cheese) omelette and a michelada and it was a good portion size for me. Both very good and would recommend.
Awesome breakfast or lunch place in Fremont, CA. Everything on the menu is great. The breakfast minis are big.so they work unless you are really hungry. They close at 2 pm and are always busy. However, I have never had trouble being seated or getting great service. If you're in the area and looking for a really great meal, hit them up, you will not be sorry. They also have this good pepper sauce picture below.
1st time here and it's a mouth watering taste. Had the Chilaquiles and country potatoes and the flavor was great. I usually have ketchup with my potatoes but today I didnt need to. My father-in-law had Eggs with Linguisa and portions where also good. Cant wait to try something different soon.
Wow so good! Perfectly cooked eggs and the crab cakes had actual chucks of crab... this place didn't cheap out. Great service and got the food quick. Definitely very noisy in there is the only complaint
Bill's Cafe in Fremont is a haven for breakfast lovers, offering fluffy waffles, decadent French toast, savory omelets, and mouthwatering Benedicts. The restaurant bustles with activity, and while lines used to be long, their new waitlist QR code system seems to be streamlining the process. Expect a wait, but the delicious food and friendly service make it worthwhile. With its extensive menu and efficient waitlist system, Bill's Cafe is a great choice for a satisfying breakfast experience in Fremont.
Very nice place for breakfast/brunch. Cozy and happening place. They serve free coffee for those who are waiting. Otherwise also the coffee or juice refills keep happening aggressively. We ordered protein scramble with veggies only, Hawaiian pancakes, cinnamon french toast and trust me all of them were very tasty 😋. The service is awesome. Great ambiance. Loved this place 🤩
Bill's Cafe is almost an institution in Fremont. They serve some of the best breakfast dishes in town. Had the pancake combo and you will need a box to take the food home. Three large pancakes with all the sides. Mmmm! Atmosphere is typical of a diner. The service is excellent. Will always come back for more. Came back again but this time ordered their Bread Pudding French Toast. It was excellent! Haven't ordered anything wrong. Always consistently excellent.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Excellent service. Tasty food. Huge portions! We went on a Monday morning at 9:00 am and while not full, the restaurant was buzzing with plenty of folks having breakfast. We were immediately seated and being served coffee within a minute of sitting down. Our server took our order a couple of minutes later and our food was out in about five minutes. No waiting here!
Bill’s cafes are one of the great places to enjoy breakfast or brunch. It was a bit hard to find this place even tough I used navigation. It is surrounded by constructions and I did a few circles around and eventually found it. It wasn’t too busy around 8am. I know that later in the day you might experience wait times. The service was impeccable. They served coffee and water immediately. Food was great. Their plates are quite large so we took the leftovers with us.
Typical breakfast place serving delicious food. Huevos Rancheros was really good. Eggs Benedict is as good as it gets. We loved Hazelnut Mocha, "Adult coffee" with a generous amount of Bailey's in it. Veggie skillet was okay, there was too much potato and very few veggies. Weekends are usually crowded with longer wait times but definitely worth the wait.
Great place for breakfast. Had the avocado omelette with potatoes which was really good. There are alot of items to choose from for breakfast and the avocado omelette didnt disappoint. Also ordered a side order of the French toast which I couldn't finish after having one piece and my main meal. The service was really good with the unlimited coffee.
Nice place, you have to arrive early if you don’t like to wait, because after 10 am it gets really busy. Coffee is not great, but the food compensates it. Portions are big, I share half savory dish and half sweet dish with my kid so we both can try two. Restrooms are clean and the staff is amiable. I recommend the California benedicts and the cinnamon roll pancake.
Bills cafe itself is a pleasantly designed A framed cabin-esque restaurant. There are many places to be seated including bar seating. It can be hard to get a table if you're a larger group and you may have to wait. But as a couple, we were able to get seated right away into a booth. The food was great! They offer Mexican style food with traditional breakfast items also (think of country fried steak or benedicts). We got their lemon blueberry pancake and chorizo omlette. The chorizo was very lean and more sausage like than traditional chorizo (lacking the flavor and spice) but it was good nonetheless. Their hash browns are probably the best we have had hands down. Very fluffy and creamy with a nice crunchy outside. The pancakes also tasted exactly like a lemon blueberry poundcake! Was not disappointed in our visit. The price to portion ratio was great. We would love to come back!
I had a fantastic experience at Bill’s Cafe! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Despite the busy Sunday brunch crowd, the wait time was around 20 minutes, which was reasonable. We ordered the Petaluma Scramble, Crab Cake Benedict, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Pancake—each dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. I would definitely recommend Bill’s Cafe for a satisfying brunch experience!
I’ve been coming to Bill’s Cafe for almost a year now, mostly for breakfast, and it never disappoints! As a Muslim, my options are usually eggs and pancakes, and they are always fresh and delicious. The quality and taste are always great. I bring my friends and family here often since it’s very close to our house, and everyone loves it. Every time I see other people’s orders, especially the steak, it looks amazing and makes me even more hungry 😄 Today I realized they have many branches, and I truly wish one of the branches could serve the same menu with halal options. That would be amazing!
Everything was fresh, super tasty, came out fast, and piping hot. The lemon blueberry pancakes were delicious and chock-full of blueberries. Great omelettes. The link sausage were super-sized and both the hash browns and country potatoes were really good. We didn't try the bread pudding French toast but will on a future trip. Service was terriffic. The area around the restaurant is nice and clean.
Ah my hubby favorite restaurant, although we been to many upscale places but he saying this place has the best tasting steak. The price so affordable, friendly service too. The server might need to ask our food satisfaction and need to offer refill for coffee next time. But hey, I liked seeing she was constantly smiling and the energy wow. Might be hassle the construction nearby been going on for a long time but that maybe drives people out. Well this place always packed especially in weekends but today not too much probably because it’s Monday and the annoying construction next to them. Anyway it’s delicious food and coffee no one can beat that. I love my Mexicano omelette and it comes in mini too for a lower price. The portions excellent as well as the temperature and presentation. Food so delicious, I am picky so if I say delicious it really is…
I ordered the asparagus omelette with egg whites, and it was absolutely delicious! 🥚🥦 The flavors were fresh, the portion was generous, and the potatoes on the side were perfectly seasoned. Service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for breakfast! ☕🍳
My first visit to Bill's Cafe was an enjoyable experience! If you come here early, you'll get a better seat. It's a good place to grab a cup of coffee and breakfast. My family and I ate a half tuna sandwich with chicken soup, buttermilk pancakes, and banana bread pudding. The food is filling and delicious. I'd love to visit again!
Parking is an absolute nightmare, but good atmosphere and service overall. The food portions are a bit too big (I know complaining about that seems snobbish, but we're talking about breakfast) and it needed some more seasoning. I do not recommend you order eggs Benedict on bagel bread; it's too much bread and takes over the plate. But overall a good place for breakfast and brunch, just mind the lack of parking.
I really enjoyed my Cowboy Skillet. Value to portion size was appropriate. Coffee was hot and tasty. Service was a little slow, but the service was good. No thrills on the atmosphere, yet everything was clean. Other members of my party enjoyed their food (chicken n waffles, eggs Benedict, and an omelette) too.
Great food and portions but very crowded and a reservation is highly recommended. Atmosphere is on the loud side so will have to accommodate this if planning an event to meet up with friends and family.
Finished some errands and got hungry. This one is part of a small chain around the Bay Area. This particular restaurant was established in 1977, so that says a lot already. Food was very good and they have dishes for those that are worried about weight or cholesterol. Pros: free parking outside; easy to find from streets and Google maps; quick service and efficient; clean and friendly atmosphere; again, good choices for those looking out for healthy eats. I had the protien platter below with egg whites, apple sausage and asparagus. Cons: small lot so spaces closer are taken quickly; had to wait a bit for waiter to take our order and it could have been faster getting our food also; it looked like the manager/boss was on site, everyone seemed nervous and did not smile; they had no appetizers, only side orders, and prices are a bit higher than others; your breakfast and/or lunch is going to be about $20 per person, unless you go with the half meals. The great taste and good food menu will get me back. Try it yourself. It a good eat.
It’s my second visit to Bill’s cafe for brunch. This place has a good 20 min wait time and highly recommend joining the Yelp waitlist. Visitors also can enjoy free coffee while waiting outside the cafe. The parking was a bit hard but managed to find a spot after couple of rounds around the block. The brunch served here is an American breakfast with a Mexican twist. There were new items added to the menu from the last time I visited. Ordered the Country Style Eggs Benny with fried chicken and the meat lovers omelette with oat strawberry pancake. The eggs were super filling as they serve 4 eggs for omelettes and the hasbrown was cooked to perfection. The eggs Benedict was perfect as usual and they always have freshly squeezed Orange Juice. The pancake was too huge and dense and couldn’t have it on the side.
Bills has been a go-to for years, so I've noticed a few changes in the last 10 years. where their pancakes used to be so yummy, tasty and fluffy, they've become just big and nothing special. I love their waffle....but thats all you get for $12, one waffle. I had their French toast this past weekend, it was alright. Their chicken and beef burgers are great. Those you can't go wrong with. the fries are nice and stringy. You'll need about $20-30 a person. More if you're looking to get alcohol.
This is a really crowded cafe (not coffee shop) to go to. I wasn’t really expecting that people to dine here during the morning. That’s probably because it’s the weekend now. The interior looks really nice especially how angled the ceilings are. Based on a glimpse of it, it’s not an old-fashioned American diner because of the colors and the materials of the furniture. Seemingly, it’s quite modern. I decided to try Eggs Benedict for the first The egg yolk is very runny and kinda explosive and quite hard to eat it to the point where I used a fork and knife instead of hands. At the same time, it’s alright. They were supposed to give me hashed browns but instead gave me a fruit cup, which is simply a minor mistake. At least, they returned it with what I want. Overall, this is a good experience but I think I should stick to what I usually get from other diners.
Good food, large portions, and great service. It has the first place we went to since the opening of indoor dining. We were skeptical to do indoor dining but they have instituted safety precautions and outdoor dining! It was busy but quick. Coffee was hot and cup was always filled by staff. What was amazing was to do pay by phone via a scanning code on the tab — no need to though anything! Staff was willing to answer questions as this restaurant was new to the area! I am glad we found it! Parking was a little challenging but manageable!
Good weekend brunch place in Fremont! If you need healthy options for brunch, they have got you covered with egg white with mushroom and spinach omelette. Pretty decent selection of scramble, sandwiches, skillets and omelette options including house crispy country potatoes. Must try bread pudding french toast! Fremont location is more spacious compared to other locations like Willow Glen.
I recommend having a reservation, the cafe gets very busy. Food was good. However I ordered the cowboy skillet and once it got out to the table it was cold. I was expecting my order to come out on an actual skillet that would allow the food to be steaming hot. I also ordered a Belgian waffle with nutella, whip cream, & strawberries, I wanted peanut butter they didnt have any. Fish bowl Guava mimosa was good!
Solid breakfast / brunch place. Reliable chain in the Bay area although I only tried this one. Recommended by a friend who has lived in the area for 20+ yrs
So many choices to pick from and portions are quite large! We got the cowboy skillet and it was delicious, yum. Only improvement would be to have this dish served in a skillet instead of a bowl. The strawberry oats pancakes were cake-y and pillowy. These were some of the biggest pancakes I've ever ordered anywhere. Service was fine. Perhaps we're not used to it but in the past, when we go to cafes where someone goes around carrying coffee and asking folks if they want coffee, typically the coffee is complimentary. This is our first time to Bill's Cafe so we don't know if the coffee was always an additional charge or maybe it's a change since our younger years at other cafes. If you want to join the wait-list, go to Google. Apparently they don't use the yelp wait-list feature anymore, even though it looks functional.
A straight forward diner with excellent service. Our group of 4 had all the general breakfast classics. The portions big but manageable. A all around good breakfast spot.
We popped by after the 2023 Annular eclipse. Around 9am there was a 20 minute wait. They had free coffee for patrons waiting. They're very aggressive with their coffee😂😂 We got sat and were handed menus and I just distinctly remember them constantly asking us if we want coffee and refills and refilling automatically - which in theory is great but idk it was also a bit too much. We were approached by a server who got drinks (speciality coffee or juices). One friend got that specialty coffee you see pictured When that dropped food was ordered & I had asked for water for as we only had the house coffee and specialty coffee Our food dropped about 15-20 minutes later, without water. We had to ask three waiters to get our water The original server The server who instructed us he was going on break The new server he introduced us to who was taking over Then the original server returned as the food took 20 minutes and we took About 20 minutes to eat It’s clearly a busy and cool Fremont spot. A bit loud and cramped - and probably a wait time at all times. As a new resident in Newark )05/2021) idk what the hype was but they appear first in breakfast Fremont searches but nothing really stuck out to me other than they had free black coffee outside for the guests waiting. Still a decent meal if you can wait, or just love endless endless endless black coffee I have been to country way twice, and it’s an older staff and very vintage atmosphere that I think I’d return to again before coming back to bills cafe. I think it’s country ways’ staffs’ ability to make you feel welcome that makes the difference. I definitely felt like we were at a popular brunch spot at bills and all the staff cared about was turning and burning their table, but I’m sure it was just them trying to help everyone waiting in line for a table.
It is official - Pleasanton location is the BEST‼️ The staff were cleaning when I arrived so the front facing looked really inviting. I keep it simple when traveling solo due to allergies. The country steak tastes like nothing but fat . I could eat it, the inside texture dis not say beef. The presentation is great but Pleasanton will continue to get my business. This is the second location besides Pleasanton I’ve visited and been disappointed. Onward‼️🗣️
Food is real good, portions are great especially on breakfast meals, prices are about normal for today's market. Had crispy chicken sandwich added American cheese was excellent. Wife had a patty Melt with friend onions, dam good. They come with soup that was tortellini, good a little on the sweet side maybe to much sweet cream. Fries good. Had chelate and bloody marry .
A hidden gem in Fremont with quick service and delicious food! My family loved the red velvet pancakes — fluffy, sweet, and perfect with cool whip and cream cheese glaze. I tried the El Paso Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce was delightful. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked. We also had chicken and waffles; while I usually prefer waffles, their pancakes were even better! The fried chicken was tasty, but my El Paso Benedict came with canned corned beef and hash, which was a bit disappointing for the price. Service was fast, but be ready for a long wait, especially after 9:30 a.m. on weekends when it gets busy. Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely return.
More like a 3.5. Sunday brunch queue was long (a little over an hour) but expected. The food was aiiight. Had the crab cake benedict, which was pretty to look at but just OK to eat lol. Nothing particulary wrong, just a bit better than 'meh' for me. Mom had the Denver omelette which was, unfortunately, dry. Also had the biscuits and gravy for the first and maybe the last time. Its the boujee gravy for me lol. Like they didnt use the sausage rendering and bits to add that Southern flavor. But THE SERVICE WAS AND ALWAYS IS A-1!! Staff is polite, super attentive and never leaves your cup empty for too long. Food came out super quick as well despite the heavy brunch rush. Bill's is def a go-to for breakfast!
Very mediocre. Came here Saturday for lunch and sat outside on the patio with our doggy. Food was not bad, just kinda bland. Servers were all pretty nice, but pretty slow. Saw a few tables seated after us yet served their food earlier. Always kept the doggy water full though. Very limited parking
I had higher expectations, it's pretty expensive for what it is and they brought me the worst professionally prepared hash browns I've ever had in my life, oily and soggy in the middle, poor crust on the outside. They probably steam the potatoes ahead of time to make it cook faster but that's not how you make hash browns. Everything is catered to getting you out of the place as fast as possible and not to providing a good dining experience.
The food was ok and the price was around decent for what I thought but the issue we had was their deceiving menu. Bill's menu states add a combo for "XX" dollars. Combo comes with eggs and your choice of meat and hash browns or country potatoes. When I added the combo to my pancakes I was told it is only 2 of the 3. Meaning it was your choice of eggs and hash browns or eggs and protein. The menu clearly states, "Combo comes with eggs and your choice of meat and hash browns or country potatoes. " This is going to confuse and upset a lot patrons that are looking to have an enjoyable time but be ruined by a misguided menu and staff supporting it. Yes, staff does support it because we spoke to the waitress and the manager both said that it is that way and they were instructed from the owner at the Fremont location who was following instructions from the San Jose location. I wanted to try a new place and was looking forward to Bill's but very disappointed with my experience and wish I'd just went back to Dino's down the road.
So basically, i joined the online waitlist and waited for 30 minutes and then i got a text saying the table was ready and then when i went to show the text they said I have to join some other online waitlist with the qr code there. that pissed me off. horrible service and very misleading system. 1 STAR
We visited this Bill’s cafe on a Sunday morning and it was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in probably 3+ years. $18 for a chicken sandwich that had a chicken nugget size piece - what a rip off. Additionally, sandwiches were supposed to come with soup - and the server never brought it. Our server stopped by 3 times over the course of our 1.5 hour stay. How disappointing.
Been trying to call them past few days to check on my food allergy - if they could accommodate. No one picks up or calls back. Very disappointing. We wanted to go coming weekend.
Very disappointed with the food and service at Bills Cafe today. We placed an order for pick up and arrived 20 minutes later. The order included 2 mini omelets, and kids scrambled eggs with toast. Several orders were ready before ours even though the ticket numbers showed they were placed 15-20 minutes after ours. When our order was finally ready about 40 minutes after placing it, I brought it to the car only to discover several side items were missing. I went back in and asked for the sides that were missing. It took another 5-10 minutes for 2 sides of toast and 1 side of fruit. The picture attached is what we were given. It was really gross and the bread wasn't even toasted. We will not be returning any time soon. There are plenty of other great breakfast restaurants in Fremont such as Hops and Beans or Skillets that we will be going to in the future.
This used to be a great spot, but it has fallen hard over the last 4 years. No salt at all on your potatoes when you order take out, you can order 6 Pancakes and you will get one pack of syrup. The effort is not there anymore and the food quality has gone downhill, its back to Country way for me for breakfast.
I’m honestly so disappointed with this Bill’s Cafe location in Fremont. The customer service was awful from the moment I walked in. The host was visibly annoyed, rude, and acted like she didn’t even want to be there. I placed a pickup order for the Country Fried Steak & Eggs, waited for it, and only when I arrived did they tell me they were out of it. No call, no heads up, nothing. I had to change my order to the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, which is cheaper. YET they still charged me the higher price for the original item. How does that make sense? To make things worse, the food was terrible. The corned beef hash tasted awful, I couldn’t even finish it. And after everything that happened, it was just the final disappointment. This is by far the worst Bill’s Cafe I’ve been to, and I won’t be returning. Completely unacceptable service and a total waste of money.
We’ve been coming to this breakfast/lunch spot for over 5 years, and it used to be a solid 5-star restaurant. Unfortunately, the customer service has gone downhill so badly that we can’t justify coming anymore. Every time we walk in now, we’re greeted with a frown. The servers have a noticeable attitude, and they barely check in on us during our meal. What makes it even more disappointing is that we’ve actually had a server refuse to take our order for no reason at all. We’ve always shown up, supported this place, and recommended it to others because the food is genuinely great—credit to the cooks, because they’re the only reason we’ve stayed this long. But the customer service has become unacceptable, and it honestly sucks to see a place we loved fall off like this. We’re definitely taking our business to another location, because the San Jose locations actually take care of their guests. Very disappointed with how things have changed.
