I’ve had lunch at Cooper’s twice sitting at the bar, and both times have been excellent! The Salmon BLT and the caprese salad were tasty. Taylor is a welcoming and attentive bartender! I’ll definitely be back to see her soon.

My dining experience at Cooper's Landing in Galveston was phenomenal! The greeter was friendly and professional. I had a delicious chicken fried chicken meal with crisp fries and a fresh salad. The service was 5-star quality. I will return in the future.

We discovered this place on a Saturday afternoon drive. We decided later to stop in for dinner and they were happy to accommodate without a reservation. The server was attentive, and the food fantastic. The noise was a little loud on the patio, but the sound of families sharing summer stories really can’t be bad.

I love Cooper's Landing! The music is unobtrusive. The drinks are perfect. The prime rib is amazing. The bread pudding is wonderful. Recommended!

Susan our bartended made the experience exceptional - as usual. And the salmon was also amazing.

Wonderful experience, the hostess that was there was great! Absolutely loved the tattoos she had and her smile. Our waiter, a super good guy told us all the recommendations that he had and then gave us some time to look it over. Once food was ordered it took about 20 minutes to get the food and that was both mine and my cousin's food. Super fast. The portion sizes were crazy large to what we were expecting. For an appetizer, 2 meals and 2 drinks came out to less than 90 which I think is really good! Thank y'all for the great service and very quiet and wonderful atmosphere.

We decided to try this place and give it a shot and we were so happy we did. From the food presentation to the incredible service provided by Shannon, it was an absolute delight. Get the old fashion and bread pudding, you'll thank me later.

Really great place. I got our supper to go and while waiting, the bartender was very friendly, atmosphere nice. Everything we had was delicious. Not many places spend the time to make a to go order look pretty. CL did. We had planned on going somewhere else tomorrow but may revisit this gem!

Sat right at reservation time, staff was welcoming, and good food. Tables and menus a little dirty but aside from that a great place.

We stopped in for a bottle of wine just as the odd fog set in. Alfredo was welcoming and kind. Can't wait to come back. Fresh catch and amazing appetizers were had around us, while we enjoyed our wine. Mussels in garlic, scallops, red snapper. Gotta taste this is as fresh as it gets

What a treasure on the West end of the island. Recommended by hotel staff, and well worth the drive. Food was amazing! Service was great, and the cocktails were stupendous! Highly recommend the Smoked Old Fashioned! You will not be disappointed!!

My husband and I were looking for a romantic spot to enjoy a coastal meal, and this place fit the bill. We ordered the red fish and it was delicious! We also enjoyed a slice of the chocolate cake and it tasted homemade, which was exactly what I was hoping for. Overall it was a pleasant experience with good service. I would recommend it and would dine here again if provided the opportunity.

I found this restaurant on Google maps, and thought we could give it a try. The waitress was willing to take a special order for my picky child, and that set the tone for the evening. I decided on the "no brainer", grilled redfish covered in sauce, crawfish tails and a shellfish. My wife had the fish and chips (I helped). We ate on the balcony, with the doors pulled down, as it was cold and windy (January). The best part, aside from the awesome service was, when they found out it was my son's birthday, they brought out a mini fireplace, and s'mores! We roasted the marshmallows over the flame, and added mini Hershey bars between Graham crackers, right at the table! My son said it was the best birthday ever. We had a great time, the bill came back under a hundred, and we all left happy! This is a really nice restaurant, and I'm sure we'll stop back by before we head home.

I come to Galveston a lot for work, and drove by an interesting looking establishment one evening after the work day was over. I had been wondering about Cooper's ever since and tonight I talked my boss who was traveling with me to join in on trying something new. And my goodness am I glad we tried it! My boss and I loved the atmosphere, the waiter Arthur, and of course the food. I cannot wait to go back and share this experience with my other coworkers and traveling companions! Boss ordered the Chilean sea bass, and I ordered the Mediterranean salad. Thank you for the excellent service, Cooper's Landing.

Outstanding! Sharon is the perfect hostess. She made us feel as though we were in her home. Our wait person, Taylor, was knowledgeable, efficient and entertaining. And the food? Their spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was just like my Grandma’s. And the chicken fried chicken was very good.

J
Jennifer C

The raspberry truffle Martini was great. I had the baked crab stuffed shrimp, and my husband had the red fish. It was all very tasty. For an appetizer we had the fried crab cakes and they were very fresh. Customer service was very good and they seated us right away. Just be sure to get a reservation especially if it's a holiday weekend. Some people were rushing to park and get in before us but I think we got a table because we were reserved it online. Thanks and we'll be back again.

In order to avoid wait times, we sat at the bar. The lady bartender was very friendly and attentive. She served me an Ultra and my Lubba had a couple of Blue Lagoon Martinis. Our food was delicious. I had tenderloin skewers with seasonal veggies and rice. My love had Gulf Coast crab cakes with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes.

Shaquille took really good care of us on Saturday night. We had great Ceviche, wonderful Brussels sprouts and pork belly and incredible prime rib. Then bread pudding to die for. Sorry but the empty plate is all that was left of dessert. We will definitely go back.

Great early evening dining experience. Starting with Sharon, the GM, who made sure we were seated in a comfortable spot given certain restrictions. Our server, Natalia, was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent! Best shrimp kisses we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, laid on very flavorful spinach bed, and topped with (but not downing in) what I think was a sort cranberry compote. Just delicious! Also enjoyed the ceviche and seafood gumbo. All with the Gulf view. Highly recommend!

P
Paige Seitz

Our experience was so great that we ate here two nights in a row. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, excellent service, and we did not wait for a table. Every single staff member was super friendly from the GM to the kitchen staff we chatted with in the parking lot. Quiet, elevated atmosphere that also welcomes families. The first night we had ceviche tostadas, coconut crusted red snapper, the no brainer, and several different cocktails - all excellent. The next night we chose bang bang shrimp, seared tuna, shrimp scampi tortellini, and key lime pie - dare I say even better than night 1.

J

All islanders: this is a great under appreciated spot! Delicious food. Amazing service. Good views! Head down here! West Enders: ITS AMAZINGLY CLOSE. Let’s keep supporting Coopers. In town visiting and happened to drive by this amazing restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The salmon was a little pricy compared to most restaurants but it was delicious. If you are a burger lover then you will love their signature burger. It is huge for the money. The spinach fondue was amazing also. No complaints!

Stopped in for lunch to support local business. They were slow so I’m glad I stopped. Got the anchor burger - steak sandwich style. Burger was on point and the Cajun fries were amazing. Got a side of their herb mayo and used that on my fries too.

We had the most delicious meal on Friday night, some of the best crab cakes I've ever had! Compliments to the chef! Drinks were great, atmosphere was so nice with the ocean view, and our server was very attentive. Nice alternative to the busy sea wall. We will definitely be back!

We stopped in last Saturday evening, sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive, hospitable and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We split burger and had a few appetizers. The burger might be the most beautiful burger I’ve ever seen. Cooked perfectly to order and was very tasty!

I recommend this place. The customer service was pleasant. I went on Monday after work around 7pm. It wasn't busy. There were people on the balcony eating, inside, and at the bar. When I walked up the very long stairs to get in, I got the feeling the place was going to be fancy, which means, priced more than average. It was. I got a like $13 ceviche and $28 tuna. It came up to around $55. That will be my night out for the next 6 months. Lol. I don't spend a lot on going out to eat since I live in a vacation area where costs can add up quickly, but I recommend this place if you're into romance and fancy diners. It's definitely a more sophisticated vibe, which is hard to find so far out in Jamaica Beach area.

K
Kat Morrison

Amazing! Every dish we ordered was delicious! Our server Aidan was the best! It’s refreshing to find actual good food and service in Jamaica Beach. We had been loyal to waterman’s for awhile but now this is definitely our go to spot

Great restaurant, great location, great food. We eat at Cooper’s every time we come to stay on the beach. Excellent seafood, appetizers, and non-seafood items. Try the no-brainer. There’s a reason why they call it the no-brainer. Phenomenal! It’s redfish with their own special sauce, stuffing, crawfish tails, scallops.

We are from St. Louis and in town and came to Coopers . The service was top of the line. Everyone was so nice and family friendly. Our server Art was one of the best servers we have ever had. He made our dinner fit all our expectations. I recommend to come eat here when you want a great meal with great service.

X
Xtina Kay

My husband and I very much enjoyed the food here. The grilled red snapper was some of the best prepared fish we have ever had. I loved my stuffed shrimp and the carrot cake was devine. This is a fine dining establishment, with very high quality dishes so be prepared to pay for that experience. The prices are comparable to a few of the more well known restaurants in the tourist area, but the food here was far superior. Our waiter was so friendly and personable (I don't remember his name 😟)!

R

Welcome surprise here on the west end of Galveston. Great food and amazing service. Very accommodating for a family of 5 with 2 young kids. Sea bass was delicious, the ahi tuna was awesome too. Parking was a little tedious. Small parking lot, and the rains made the back parking muddy. But overall a great experience. A go to for us on our future visits. For the guys, if you are an old fashioned guy, get the smokey old fashioned. 5 🌟.

Went here to have lunch with my son, we got seated fairly quickly. The ordered of the lunch menu. Brunch ( on Sundays) lunch and dinner items are served depending in time of the day. Both dishes we ordered tasted great. I definitely plan to go back for dinner next time.

Our waitress was wonderful. They were quite busy, lots of post-race ironman competitors. Nice view of the shoreline across the road. Drinks were very good and had a lot of tempting choices on the menu. Oh and so many wonderful food choices as well. We opted for the Mediterranean seafood salad and seafood pasta. Oh so good.

How have I possibly driven by here a dozen times and not stopped before? Cooper’s Landing was great in every respect. The food was excellent, well presented, and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and attentive (shout out to Carla for the great service). The atmosphere is very nice- fresh and clean. Excellent view of the gulf from the shaded, dog-friendly elevated deck out front. They were very accommodating for our little dog, and even brought him a bowl of water along with our drinks. The restrooms were modern and very clean. Coooer’s Landing will absolutely be a must each time we visit Galveston.

Wonderful first experience at Coopers Landing last night. Perfectly prepared drinks, wonderful entrees, inviting salads and excellent service. I would call this an upscale Steak and Seafood restaurant in a relaxed setting. Prices were attractive. The staff members were very friendly and engaging. Adam is the new manager. He makes a mean drink too. Tell him BigMike sent you. See pictures of the actual food delivered. Salads were large and could be split to make room for dessert! Pro Tip: The Old Fashioned was crafted with Buffalo Trace. It was beyond my expectations. First ever Cooper’s Bourbon Flight (their new bourbon flight glasses had just come in and I guess I looked like a willing target.) I am easy. Anyway, I picked Angel’s Envy, Basil Hayden, Longbranch and Woodford Reserve. Price was really good for a bourbon flight and I was able to select my poisons, but I’m not telling you how much. You have to go and find out! The nice couple next to us were brave (they admitted to being full after a great dinner) and ordered the Bread pudding and ice cream dessert. I should have taken a picture. It looked yummy! Naturally they finished it despite their protests to its size. So a couple of items you should be aware of. The seafood here is fantastic. Happy hour is 2-6 pm , not sure if this is available on Friday and Saturday.

L
Linda

We had a wonderful meal. We ate out on the terrace. They had some of the doors closed to block the wind, and the weather was nice. We both had seafood, but I can’t remember exactly what I had. I do remember it was great! I think they had a wide selection of drinks, but check their menu first if that is important for your enjoyment.

The pancakes! I am not even a pancake person, but the pancakes here are phenomenal! They don’t need butter or syrup…although it’s fine with it too…they are delicious on their own. We stopped in for brunch on a Saturday morning. I had the breakfast tacos, which were as good if not better than any breakfast tacos I’ve had. My husband and his dad both had the American Breakfast. It was exactly what you would expect although elevated. Kerry delivered great service, attentive, but not smothering. Highly recommend! The restaurant is slightly southwest of the tourist area, but it is worth the 5 minute drive.

Excellent food and service. Fries especially are fantastic. Light, Crispy, and not super greasy. All the food tasted good and would recommend the bang bang shrimp appetizer, and the burger was good looking. I had the chicken fried chicken, juicy and tasty. Finally would recommend the cream brulee. Tasty and consistency was on point.

What a wonderful dining experience! The food was terrific, and the staff were all so friendly, courteous, and welcoming, especially Christopher ("Chris"). We were referred to him by another satisfied customer, and he was everything they said he would be: attentive, personable, and professional. My husband and I often travel to Galveston and Jamaica Beach for a quick getaway from our home in Clear Lake, but we had never noticed Cooper's Landing before. It's easy to miss since it looks like a house from the road! We're so glad we found it. We'll definitely be back for the delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, and outstanding service.

We celebrated my daughter’s 11th birthday at Cooper’s Landing and had such a great experience! The staff surprised her with a free bread pudding and ice cream with “Happy Birthday” written on the plate – such a sweet touch. The food was excellent – from the flavorful gumbo to the fresh seafood scampi and perfectly cooked redfish. Great service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful place! We came after dark so didn’t see much, but were sat quickly and our waiter was extremely attentive and funny. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. I ordered the sea bass and scallops, and finished every bite. The rice pilaf is amazing and so buttery, I’d have to say that was my favorite part of my meal. We ended the night with a huge slice of coconut cream pie, tasted like heaven. Absolutely a must when in Galveston!

Had an awesome dinner at Cooper’s Landing! We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp—crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. For mains, we had the Shrimp & 4 Cheese Tortellini (so rich and delicious) and the Seafood Salad (super fresh and tasty). The service was excellent—friendly and attentive—and the atmosphere was really comfortable and inviting. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to others.

Amazing experience! One of the best meals we ever have on the island. We come every visit. Super clean and really nice inside. Excellent service with friendly welcoming employees. The lunch specials are great and happy hour too. They don’t have sweet tea but they will give you simple syrup from the bar and the tea is fresh brewed, clear, crisp perfection. We’ve been here for drinks at the bar and they are all hand made with a fair amount of alcohol for the money. The lemon drop martini was excellent. We had the wedge salad, insanely refreshing and delicious after a day out in the heat on our boat. The blue cheese dressing was so light and flavorful and delicious. The salad had a good amount of yummy toppings including crispy bacon and tomatoes and red onion and avocado. We also each got the lunch tacos. Blackened fish tacos with fries, fish cooked perfectly and flaky. Fries are homemade and incredible! Grilled shrimp tacos amazing but the shrimp not really grilled tasting. I’ll get blackened next time. Blackened shrimp Tacos incredible! The fruit salsa on it sets it apart from other places and the sauce is perfectly seasoned without being too spicy.

First time coming here and I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal. Our waiter was super attentive and kind. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. SOOO yummy!!!! My mom got a steak which literally melted in your mouth so good. And my dad got the fried pork chops he says they were fantastic. Really good vibes and it's a nicer restaurant for sure. I would pass on the house salad it was only 5 bucks but it wasnt amazing. There was indoor seating, a bar, patio type seating but still indoors and then an actual outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend this for everyone looking for dinner!! Thank you to our waiter who was very awesome and kind!!

Nevenka was absolutely wonderful! So friendly, timely, knowledgeable, and fun. She waited on us May 11 (Mother’s Day) 5 adults & 7 kids. First time here and we are floored with how good it is. We got here at 8:15 even though they closed at 9pm. They were very accommodating and wonderfully polite and helpful staff. Very accommodating to our 10 month old son. Carla was our server and she was extremely pleasant, helpful, and had great suggestions. Wonderful waitress! Let us know times it took to cook the dishes and any other questions we might have. We started with some cocktails, well mixed and flavorful. The ceviche was really nice, our 10 month old son could not get enough of it My wife had the coconut crusted snapper and I had the baked jumbo stuffed shrimp. It was amazing. I forgot to take photos till after I ate. It was that good We got the coconut crème pie to go. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for a bite with 10 of my GC Cigar Lions Club buddies for lunch. We were fresh from NestFest beach cleanup. Anyway, the staff was spot on. We can be a handful. The food was mighty tasty and ample portions. The dessert, gotta have that, was fresh. Can't wait to try supper one evening.

This was my first time here, though our friend who invited us has been here numerous times. The ambience is nice and there’s an outdoor patio option for sitting if you like. The food and portions were really great. I had the coopers salad and it was very delicious and filling, though I didn’t order it with any extra protein. My friend ordered the Greek salad and it was huge and had lumps of crab and lobster too. My husband ordered the red snapper and he thoroughly enjoyed his fish as well. We would definitely return.

Great ambiance, delicious food, and really great service! We had the spicy peach margaritas, the seaside paloma, tenderloin skewers, surf and turf special, and brussel sprouts. The best cocktails we’ve had our whole trip to Galveston! 4 stars only because we wished our food came out a little hotter. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, and even outdoor with AC. We sat outdoor and it felt very kid friendly. Very GF accommodating as well.

Food was good just not enough portion for the price paid but tasty. Drinks are overpriced for sure. On the fancy side. Glad they have an elevator for grandma in wheelchair. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive.

Solid option for dinner and drinks without venturing all the way in to town. When walking inside, the dining room and patio had a fresh and inviting classy atmosphere. The patio was not too hot and we enjoyed the pleasant distant views of the water. Lots of options on the menu. We went with the spinach artichoke dip (really tasty but slightly runny), prime rib (only offered Friday and Saturday), and the stuffed baked shrimp which was my favorite. The kids enjoyed butter noodles and garlic bread. The drinks were a little underwhelming but not terrible. We’ll definitely be back as they had some tempting happy hour and daily specials.

Its a lovely place with stunning views especially when sat out on the balcony. The initial service was slow, we reached out to another waitress who was going by and she was willing to step in for someone else who was 'very busy'. There is not doubt that the food is good but small portions for the price. My husband ordered a prime rib but instead of it being medium rare it was over cooked. This was mentioned to the helpful waitress who brought out the head chef and it was resolved by a second steak which was an perfectly cooked ribeye steak. At present not sure what star rating as for it to receive 5 stars the service has to be excellent, the food has to be perfect first time to justify those prices. But I will give the waitress and the chef 5 stars because they stepped up to the mark. They just need to iron out the problems of staff and maybe do staff training.

Excellent food! A white tablecloth experience that is reasonably priced. Pictured is the Greek Avocado salad with shrimp. There is a bit of road noise as the road is close, and doors were open.

First off, the place looks great! Its an incredible remodel from the previous restaurant that had occupied this space. Upscale (think cloth napkins and table spreads, jazz music and candles) and clean lines...very nice! I like the inside bar they installed. The outside seating is very nice (simple) but fits the seaside view. And here's the problem. I think the restaurant is suffering from an identity problem. It's a little off putting to walk in for lunch and be greated with table cloths and candles at a West End beach restaurant. Don't get me wrong, it looks very nice but that look would be better left for the dinner crowd. Since the weather was nice, I sat outside. Like other reviewers, the menu prices were somewhat surprising. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and apologetic, however, they seemed very disorganized. A 35 minute wait for a BLT is not a good thing. While I was waiting for my food, I watched two tables get up and leave. Now, the BLT was HUGE and delicious! The picture does not do the size justice. The fresh buttery toasted bread and thick cut bacon was so good. Would I go back? Yes, for sure!

We went to dinner at Cooper’s Landing and the ambiance was great! Its a nice restaurant with a great view (for Galveston). The portion sizes are big , the fried platter is big enough for two people, the burger was delicious and huge. The Tuna poke bowl was a great size , had a nice kick to it and was delightful. The kid’s grilled cheese plate seemed like an adult plate. The service was not ideal , we had to ask for serving spoons for the appetizers twice and they never brought them . We asked for silverware since there wasn’t enough on our table for everyone . They didnt check in with us to see if we needed anything during our meal . We had to track down our waiter for the check and then remind him again. 20% gratuity was automatically charged to our bill since there were more than 6 in our party however the quality of the service did not warrant it . I will give it another shot and hope for better service ! Parking is also tight.

Delicious late Sunday lunch. We split everything and it was plenty of food and all of it was delicious. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Galveston over the years. My husband and I had the cold shrimp cocktail, a cup of gumbo, fried shrimp Po-Boy sandwich with Cajun fries, and warm bread pudding with bourbon sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I enjoyed everything! The bourbon sauce was exceptionally good and the bread pudding was dense, but not too heavy. I also liked that the bread pudding did not have a raisins.

The sign for "Brunch & Bottomless Mimosas" had me. I highly recommend making a reservation for brunch. I made a 10am reservation for a Sunday, was the second table of people to go inside and by the time we left, the place was packed with people waiting. The inside patio was air-conditioned and pleasant in the July morning sun. The brunch/mimosa package is $37/pp and they serve your champagne and Oj seperate so you can make a mimosa how you like it. Our server was training to take over the new location and was such a Doll! The service was a bit slow but I was fine on island time. We ordered the crabcakes appetizer which were perfectly cooked. My kids ordered the French toast and the All American Breakfast (pictured). I ordered the crabcakes Benny and they did overcook my egg and forgot the hollandnaise sauce (also pictured). Caution: they upcharge for every change or substitution and charge a fee to use a credit card. We asked for hot sauce and they brought the cutest 1 inch jar of tobasco I've ever seen! They do not allow dogs or people in bathing suits. Not even on the outside patio however there are signs that say this. We saw a couple being turned away with a dog as we were leaving. This is more of a restaurant than a beach grill & chill like The Tipsy Turtle. Parking is small and there are two seperate areas to park that do not connect. For my family of 4, two bottomless mimosas meals, an appetizer, and 2 kids who order off the adults menu with 20% gratuity, our total was about $160.

📌Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. She answered all our questions and brought the food quite quickly. 📌Atmosphere: 5/5 You can sit outside and enjoy a balcony view of the ocean and beach. There are also palm trees on the side, adding to the vibe. 📌Food: 4/5 The shrimp was delicious. The grilled salmon plate was tasty. The chicken plate was also really good. The lobster bisque was delicious. ❗️The tuna poke bowl was not good—for both me and my friend. It was too sweet and the portion size was small. 📌No issues with parking. 📌Reasonable prices

They said they were busy, so I will assume they considered it busy for them. However, the food was missing something to make it fit the price. The rare tuna was far from it. And the other food came out warm, not hot. It wasn't the best service for the price point. And, while they said they were busy, honestly, there were a lot of open tables, so I'd be concerned when really busy. They did have some good wines on the list!

The price was high for what you get. You can get better stuffed shrimp at Willie G’s for the same price. Burger was well done (they don’t ask how you want it cooked). Fried pork chop was dry. The service was horrible- Slow and not attentive to drink refills at all. Didn’t ever ask if we needed anything else additional after we got our food, which took forever. Tables around us got their food before us even after being sat after us. Definitely overpriced and not worth it.

Wow the food here is garbage for the price point they are charging. It felt like they just bought food from Costco and served that or something and that's doing Costco a disservice. Do not go here for steak night!!! The filet looked like a shriveled hockey puck. The mashed potatoes might have actually been the flaky box stuff. The side of veggies I have no doubt were just pulled from a frozen bag. The salmon didn't have crispy skin like it was pan-fried but seemed boiled or something off. The chocolate chocolate cake was drier than the sand dunes on the beach. The drinks were the best part of dinner as well as the brussel sprouts. Would never recommend this place to anyone at their current price point and horrendous food quality. I almost feel robbed for just eating there. All of these recent 5 star reviews have to be paid actors or something, there's just no way this place deserves anything over 3.

TLDR version: they were out of half their menu, kids went home starving, food was mediocre, way over priced. Service and atmosphere were good. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while because we stay on this end of the island frequently, so I was excited to make our first visit last night. Unfortunately we left very disappointed. We started off by trying to order calamari but they were out. Then our waiter told us they were also out of a couple different fish dishes. I jokingly asked him if they had cows and chicken and he said oh yes of course. We stuck with it and got the shrimp kisses as an appetizer which was pretty good. After we ordered main dishes, and our waiter went to turn the order in to the kitchen, we found out that they were also out of all chicken so they couldn’t fill my wife’s or either of my kids’ orders. They were also out of fillet mignon which the other family with us tried to order. We got our “last resort” orders and it was just ok. Ribeye was bland and tough. All the problems could be because of a busy holiday weekend but it’s not a new restaurant so you’d think they would have the process down already by now. It’s a beautiful restaurant with an upscale feel, very clean and professional. They seemed to be well staffed and our waiter did the best he could with the less than ideal operational management behind him. We play a game with the kids on our road trips where on our way home we take turns talking about our favorite parts of our trips, the whole family agreed this was the worst part of our trip to Galveston. We really wanted to like this place since we visit Galveston a few times each year and almost always stay on the west side of the island but unfortunately we probably won’t go back.

My family and I decided to choose this place for nicerand less busy atmosphere on the seawall. I was craving a steak and my family wanted seafood so I saw that the restaurant served prime rib on Friday and Saturday evenings good deal lets go. Well the prime rib was absolutely terrible for 38 dollars , when I say it was tough that was is an understatement. I sent it back after literally one bite, meanwhile the rest of my family competed the meals that were served. Definitely was not satisfied with the overall experience or the food. Our server did what he could and was not at all at his fault for the food quality.

Edited review: Visited the place for a second time in about two months since it was open. Disaster!!! I ordered the same meal, shrimp on a flat bread. The bread was very dry, old. My friend ordered pasta with tomato sauce, the sauce was from a can. Ordered a drink that was very strange taste. At the end they tried to overcharge me. From 5 stars to 1 in a less than a three months. I will give two for the location. Old review: Visited this place on the third day after it was open. We noticed it while we were driving around Galveston Island. The food was delicious. Service was good. We will visit again. Greetings from NYC.

We were just here last night. I ordered the crab cakes and wish I hadn’t. I didn’t see or taste any crabmeat in either crab cake. They were just celery, yellow and red peppers and filling. I was so disappointed as I love crab cakes and figured a restaurant by the water would have good ones. Such a waste of my money. At least my daughter enjoyed her seared tuna but our other guest and I were not so lucky with our crab cakes. Our seasonal vegetables also were undercooked and I had to cut them in small pieces to be able to eat them. Please consider changing your recipe or add more crabmeat if there was any.. Dessert was delicious - chocolate peanut butter cake with ice cream.

We ate here for the first time Feb 2025. Its a quaint little place near the ocean in Galveston. As I've said in other reviews, I don't mind paying good $$ for good food, but this was not it. My wife had one of the fish dishes, something covered in coconut with mango salsa. She said it was "meh" and didn't have much of any coating on it. The asparagus was the best part of that dish, she said. Mine was the fried pork chops, which were not good at all. The vegetables on the side were the best part of that meal, but the mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box; you could actually taste the flakes in the mix.. horrible. Everything was pretty bland and tasteless. Her drinks were OK, she had a bloody mary. But the food shouldn't cost upwards of $80 for quality this bad. Our service was OK, but it was a chilly night and they only had one heater out on the patio, which wasn't near enough to keep everyone (3 other tables around us) warm. Would definitely not eat here again, given the opportunity.

We have placed the pick up order with door dash. When my husband went there to check, he was informed that restaurants’ system is down and they are not making any orders, we should treat is as cancelled. 3 hours later the order appeared as complete in the app, we went to the restaurant again to get the food, hoping it was finally made. On arrival we were informed that the order was already picked up. We don’t know how that’s possible, as it was not us. The restaurant refused to remake the food that we paid for, saying that they will need to charge us again. Such a shame, we used to love this place. Still hungry and disappointed

Nice Restaurant: white linens, black cloth napkins & nice atmosphere over looking the beach. Just what I was looking for calm/quiet/good fresh food. I ordered the marinated beef kabob- beef was so tough and over cooked, then the roasted potatoes were half done and semi raw to crunch. To top off I ordered chocolate cake to go. However, very disappointing. How do you screw up a cake? Let me tell you it was so dry-crumbled-and tasted 5 day old layers. To spend $90 and get disappointing food was understatement. Let’s talk about the server: we were not ready to order yet. She said “just wave at me when your ready order” & pointed in direction. So each time we needed something we had to wave- but all 4-6 employees were at this table conversing. Luckily the pork chops were nice and tender, breaded nicely. Rice was nice & fluffy but the mash potatoes were dry and assuming instant. Real potatoes do not have the consistency of this serving. Waitress apologized for the over/under cooked food but never seen the manager. If a manager had came, probably a better tip and positive review. Oh and the radio & tv were equally loud and was disturbing during a nice early evening dinner date with my daughter.

This place seems nice, and other reviews seem to rave about how good the food is, however, we were turned away. We arrived an hour before they were set to close but the staff decided to shut down the kitchen for the night. The host recommend other restaurants along the seawall.
