By Far the Best Seafood and Steaks in Texas not to mention the Staff was so warming and inviting Abigail made sure that all was A1 for my Birthday. Thank you again for the Finest dinning experience. So when you all go enjoy the Beautiful views of the water and the Yachts Docked right in front of you rate 1-10 I would have to say a 10×1000. Oh and go and enjoy a cigar on the docks after dinner.

Number 13…you are Number 1 in my book! Everything was INCREDIBLE from the drinks, apps, main entree, deserts and even the after dinner coffee!! You definitely made a impression on me and earned my repeated business! This place will definitely be one of my “go-to” places! Waiter was attentive and friendly and sitting outside with a view of the water was awesome! This place is a must visit if you are traveling in town!

What a wonderful restaurant! The best food and cocktails I’ve had in a long time. Knowledgeable wait staff and cozy decor. You’re gonna love it!

Wow! My wife, daughter, and I ate at Number 13 on a Saturday afternoon. It was excellent. Our server, Vira, was very knowledgable and friendly. The filet I had was perfectly cooked (medium rare). The atmosphere was excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be sure to visit when we are back in Galveston.

The wet aged tomahawk steak cooked medium rare and warm butter cake were perfection! 😍 I’m already fantasizing of the dry aged version and bread pudding for a future dinner! 🥰 Revisited a year later! 🥳 The dry aged was even better with all the toppings, truffle butter, foie gras and bone marrow… ommmggg!!! 🤤 And of course the delicious warm butter cake! 😋

Make a reservation because this place gets packed, for good reason. The food is delicious! Everything here is top notch. It does get busy but everything else was amazing. The live music was beautiful.

Every item we ordered including appetizers and sides was a competition winning dish. I've had most of the renowned restaurants the greater Houston area and Number 13 has the best food in my opinion. The ribeye was probably the best steak I've ever had. While I'm not usually a fan of filets because they are too lean, theirs melts in your mouth like cotton candy. Service was a little salesy but great. Atmosphere was great. At over $100/person, the price was fitting for the quality of food but we would definitely visit a lot more often if it was closer to $60-80/person.

We came to this place starving on vacation after visiting the moody gardens and this place satisfied our hunger and expensive tastes without giving us tiny portions! We left so full. Our server Abigail was absolutely amazing and accommodated every request we had even with having a friend with a shellfish allergy, seriously that server deserves a raise with how quick thinking and just pleasant to have around they were! We wanted to try a little bit of everything so they easily accommodated us by turning the side of our table on the terrace into a family style buffet for our group. It was an absolutely amazing experience. The menu was larger for a nice restaurant and I’m a girl who loves options so that’s always a plus. The dinners were delicious, I had a medallion filet with Demi glacé, a lobster tail and quail which was all superb. The sides were very decently priced for the large sharable size, they were all delicious in their own ways but our favorite was the sweet corn side with a fried egg (the most flavorful corn dish I’ve ever had) and the Yukon mashed potatoes that were so creamy! My friend got the Kraken and the octopus was cooked perfectly with excellent flavor. We were sad we had no room for dessert but we will be back every time we are in town and would recommend to anyone near Galveston as a must try. Thanks again for your great service Abigail and all the staff who helped make our experience great. We’ll see you next time! - Your New Industry Friends from Minnesota 🥰

Beautiful environment - delicious food! The atmosphere was inviting and yet very elegant. Nice place to enjoy a romantic dinner or have a fun brunch get together. The seating by the water was breathtaking and Customer Service was very attentive and courteous. Would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

It doesn’t get any better. Food quality and service was perfect. Absolutely flawless. We had the scallops, the king crab and lobster with a side of potato and onion au gratin. For dessert, I highly suggest the butter cake. See picture for reference. The desert was three times as good as it looked.

Priceless views. We have enjoyed 13 many times. Jenny and Carlos at the bar keep us coming back. There service is bar none. There is no other restaurant and bar in Galveston to pull up to by boat with better accomadations. We've seated 10 inside after a day at the sand bar to share oysters and fish tacos. Everyone left impressed with the service, cocktails and of course the seafood options. We have also celebrated anniversaries and birthdays here. You can have a relaxing casual spot on the outdoor patio and watch the boats go by or have a romantic elegant event inside. Last night Eric the chef and Tom the bartender helped us celebrate my husbands birthday on the outdoor patio. Our family shared local ice cold draft beers, high end cocktails, and the newest edition a huge platter of crawfish with corn potatoes and mushrooms you pick your own add ons. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. The sports screens, the string lights, the music were the perfect back drop to the beautiful marina and sunset. Chef Eric went out of his way to come to our table and make sure my husband was having a great time. The birthday cheesecake was amazing and the presentation made my job easy as it was topped with a candle and said Happy Birthday. My husband wanted a special birthday so we came from Cypress yesterday to 13, mission accomplished! Thanks to all the staff and ownership who always make sure everyone enjoys there visit. It is always memorable.

A favorite spot of ours for sure. Irina and Darko are always amazing to us. Irina is great at suggesting new foods for us to try, as is Darko with the wine. The Iberico pork is unbelievably delicious and is our go-to! We look forward to every visit.

This will be our go to when visiting Galveston for our yearly trip! Hand down best place we've ate at this far. We regret not trying it sooner! We got The Karken- octopus, it was cooked to perfection!! The Sea scollops and red snapper was equally delicious. We ended with bread pudding....best decision🤌 Lastly I cannot forget about our wonderful, kind and patient waitress, Irina. You need to ask for this sweet girl. She made our experience even better.

Well my wife and I finally made it here to give Number 13 a try and boy I'm glad we did! From walking in the door and just sitting at the bar we got the best warm welcome. My wife had a espresso martini and I had a old fashioned. They were both excellent! From there we got a table and ordered our meals. The wife got the ribeye and I got the New York strip. Again both were excellent but I kinda wished I ordered the ribeye. Lol Also the owner personally came by our table and recommended an excellent wine to pair with our dish. He did not let us down either. The wine was perfect! For dessert they recommended we try their butter cake. Never had butter cake before but it was absolutely delicious. Overall we both loved the place. Wish I could give a 6 star review. Thank you guys for the experience!

Beautiful place for dinner. Good menu, great service, upscale with casual vibe, love the marina views, great outdoor patio’s. The bar area is really nice. They serve warm popovers with the meal which was a nice treat. Portion sizes are good as my wife and I split a filet, salad and baked potato and it was plenty to eat. They charge $5 to split the meal which I found annoying. Overall, excellent place.

They really have excellent steaks. Service was really awesome too. We were from out of town and supper casual so we blend in really well upstairs. Their sturgeon caviar was good. Their 16 oz wagyu is the best cut.

My new favorite place!!! Everything was cooked to perfection including the sauces and seasoning. Marko was a natural , quick with the joke and helpful. The girls shared a cowboy steak and I picked the pork shoulder with Cuban mojo, Mac and cheese and broccollini sides.

Number 13 is one of the top restaurants in Galveston. Are you looking for that special restaurant with amazing food, service, and wine selection? Look no more. This is your spot. Everything is top notch from their fresh flown in oysters to their lobster, tuna, snapper, and of course steaks to die for. They also have the best wine selection in town.

If you only have time for one dinner while in Galveston, this is the place to go! I would recommend going for all your other meals too. Ask for Omar, his service will make you understand. The Amuse sounds decadent and overwhelming but it is a must try! We also enjoyed the Burrata salad as an appetizer. I don't need to recommend a cut of steak, they are all amazing so don't worry about which one to choose. I just finished the cigar Omar recommended and it was definitely everything he said it would be. This steakhouse will leave you wanting to return.

Very nice place. Huge menu, $$$$ prices but the kitchen is excellent. Friendly, efficient staff (maybe a little too familiar!) and excellent views. Not inexpensive, yet it delivers what is promised.

I'm amazed every time I eat here. When I think it can't be any better, they surprise me yet again. The food is incredible and the staff is so welcoming from the hostesses to the servers. Ask for Lupe; friendly, knowledgeable of the food and menu, and highly professional. Grace always answers the phone politely when I call for reservations and makes sure I get taken care of. I decided to splurge this last time and try the Wagyu Flight. Never been a huge steak fan, but it did not disappoint. Sure, it's a pricey menu item, but the experience was worth it. I could not believe how insanely good it was. Forgot to take a picture of the Wagyu Tartare before digging in, so please excuse the half-eaten version. Favorite restaurant by far; highly recommend!

I took my wife here to treat her to an upscale dinner a few days ago for Memorial Day Weekend. We were not disappointed in the slightest. The location is very nice, ample parking out front with a great view of the docks, water and yachts in the back. We didn't have a reservation but still qmwere seated outside in the cool breeze very quickly and with a very courteous and attentive waiter. The menu is pricy, but you get what you pay for. The crab cake was devine and full of flavor, and the house salad was an amazing fresh start to the meal as well. The ribeye steak come with grilled garlic and the flavors could not be more savory and juicy. We also had the stroganoff, which was a bit over salted, but we liked it anyway. The entire location is beautiful and feels like magic if you are there when the sun goes down. We will definately be back, and with a reservation next time to guarantee a seat indoors to take in more of the decor. Great job, and highly recommended!!

Would definitely recommend this place. They are dog friendly they even brought our boy a water bowl. They have a patio to eat on with amazing veiws. The food was amazing. We ordered oysters on a half shell, Cesar salad, fish tacos, steak tacos, cheese burger and fries. Very filling. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

One of our favorite Galveston waterfront/marina restaraunts. Upscale yet adopts island life with a beautiful interior dining area and an outdoor tiki bar for a more relaxed feel. Reservations recommended for evenings. Steak and seafood options worthy of date night! Try the jumbo scallops!

Absolute best steak I've had, I have tried many other high end steakhouses through from south to north Texas and I would come to Galveston just for this. I believe the kindness and professionalism of the staff there only made everything taste better! Ask about thier bourbon, the bartender Scott KNOWS HIS STUFF and will put you on the bottle of your dreams!

Wow wow wow. Can’t say how blown away I was by this place, not pictured is the New York strip that I had. It was cooked perfectly seasoned very well, but the real winner were all the choices of toppers. I had bone marrow, boiled and butter added to my steak and it was heavenly. We also had the fried lobster roll, which was decadent. Bring your appetite. Finished it with their warm butter cake with pistachio ice cream another winner. I was surprised to see they had a selection of East Coast oysters, which are my favorite. I do not prefer golf oysters. They were outstanding. He also made a point to mention they have the hottest horseradish you’ll ever taste. I can bat for that. It will Clear out your sinuses. Be careful.

Unfortunately, we did not have the best dining experience. I've been here a few times and was excited to bring my Mother, who was visiting here, for a great experience. However, inside dining was very loud, and she has a hearing impairment, so we chose to sit outside, yet we were then surrounded by families with children. (Next time, I would choose to sit inside, hands down!) The food outside had another menu and the choices were disappointing, it was overpriced for what we but ended up with. I ordered the ceaser salad with anchovies, but it was not a good choice. The only positive was our service. Olga was wonderful, attentive, and hospitable.

N
Nanette Hall

Omar was our waiter. Everything was excellent. My lobster in the seafood pasta was truly the best lobster I have ever had. The only challenge was my dish was very rich and I could not eat it all. Our service was stellar. The entire experience was a plus.

The glamorous yet sophisticated dining room with coastal flair overlooking stunning water views was the perfect setting for a five star dinner! Buttery, doughy egg popovers & oysters to start, perfectly cooked ribeye & picanha steaks, and a to-die-for chocolate butter cake dessert to top it off left us with zero complaints. J’La was so kind and welcoming & the waitress Daris was tentative and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

I always considered the number 13 to be lucky and after dining at Number 13, I have one more reason. Too often, I’ve gone to a steakhouse where they charge exorbitant fees in the promise of an exceptional experience, only to find the execution to be lacking. Number 13 did quite the opposite. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the humble location tucked away from the road. As I walked up to the door I noticed a lot of outdoor seating overlooking the marina but I opted to sit inside. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and spacious with an elegance I did not expect. After being seated, water was brought to the table. Our waitress Irina G. was exceptional. Throughout the entire meal, she answered questions, made recommendations and anticipated our needs at the table. I don’t know if you can request a waitress when you go but I would definitely recommend her. She did an outstanding job. I ordered a New Fashioned to drink. Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Amaro and Warm Spiced Apple Liqueur over a fat piece of ice combined for a strong but smooth drink with hints of fruit and caramel. I also had a Paloma which was also very good with a strong flavor underneath the grapefruit. The food was amazing. Before I go into the main course, I have to talk about the bread. I don’t know who the baker is but give that person an award! I could have sat there and ate that bread and butter all day. The bread came out fresh, hot and still steaming. Don’t leave without trying it. It’s addictive. The Tropical Salad was a mix of baby bibb and arugula with chopped greens, oranges, roasted almonds, strawberries, goat cheese, and honey mango. Tossed in a champagne vinaigrette it was refreshing and delicious. The main course was a 28 oz. 30 Day Cowboy Ribeye. At $113 it was worth it. The steak was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The size was also more than enough for two people. The sides were all delicious and perfectly complimented the steak. The Brussels Sprouts with pork belly bacon and golden raisins was incredible. The Sautéed Asparagus Béarnaise was exceptional and the Yukon Gold Whipped Potatoes could not have been better. On the recommendation from Irina, for dessert the Warm Butter Cake really hit this meal out of the ball park! What a wonderful recommendation! Classic warm butter cake with a berry chutney and tres leches reduction. Topped with Madagascar vanilla bean and mixed berry gelato. Finished with roasted pecans this was a stairway to warm butter heaven. I can’t say enough about the excellent food and the impeccable service. I would recommend this steakhouse to anyone for a fine dining experience without all the pretentious spectacle but still elegantly presented. If you live in Houston, it is worth the drive to Galveston for a weekend getaway meal that will leave you feeling satisfied.

Wonderful place on the water without a stringent dress code. Boat access nearby. The bread is so good I'd pay $20 for it. Great food, friendly servers, pretty location. High prices, though worth it if it's in your budget.

Date Night Done Right — Great Steaks & Even Better Vibes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife and I visited Number 12 Prime Steak and Seafood on June 7 for a much-needed date night without the kids—and it did not disappoint. We started with raw oysters, followed by the wagyu steak tartare and the filet topped with scallops. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully. The wagyu, in particular, was melt-in-your-mouth good. We also had the au gratin potatoes as a side—decent, but probably wouldn’t order again. Next time we’ll try something different. The old fashioneds were excellent—smooth and perfectly balanced. So much so that my wife had to cut me off after two before I got too tipsy! The decor and layout of the restaurant were elegant yet comfortable, and parking was easy and plentiful. A great overall dining experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a refined meal in Galveston without the touristy feel.

I am a little late with our review. But celebrated my birthday with my bday twinsie on Aug 13, 2025. We're from NorCal and total foodies, being spoiled with Napa. The food was incredible. Will definitely be back when we're visiting again in March 2026.

It's not often I give 5 stars across the board. We never felt rushed. Service was the best I've seen in a while. Drinks and food were on point. We felt like a part of the family here. Ribeye was cooked to temp but was not the best I've had. The octopus (Kraken) was amazing and cooked perfectly.

Everything was excellent. The drinks where perfectly mixed and garnished. The staff is friendly helpful and humorous. The food blissfully good. Quality and great service comes at a price and is worth it and #13. The seafood pasta is the best I have had from east to west coast. This was my first time here but I will return and recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I came to Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food and services were impeccable. The steak melts in your mouth with abundance of flavor. My husband and I came for our twentieth wedding anniversary. The experience was everything we’d hoped it would be. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. We had caviar for our appetizer and for the main course we had filet, scallops and crab cake as well as the broccoli and mushrooms. Ask for bread. It’s a popover. Omar Guerrero was our waiter and he was very attentive but allowed us to fully enjoy each course before he asked us what we would like next. He even treated us to a sweet dessert after dinner. The views of the water were beautiful.

Fantastic service and the food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was actually phenomenal. The mixed grill with crab cake, scallops (they are huge), and the steak medallion. Wow, crab cake probably our favorite, but the steak and scallops! The Kraken dish is the one with the Spanish octopus. Wow, wow, the sauce and the soft octopus and the sauce with the king crab underneath. Only thing any of you should be thinking about is get yourself in here now.

We went here last night for our Anniversary and it did not disappoint! We were sat very quickly inside and our drink orders were taken. They brought out the most incredible bread with butter I have ever had! I had the smoked old fashion, which was perfect. For dinner, we did the filet with lobster tail, au gratin potatoes and broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Our waitress, Christine, did a fabulous job taking care of us. If you're looking for a special restaurant for dinner, please give this place a try!

Everything about this place is just spectacular. The ambience is inviting, upscale, and smells delicious. The staff was super friendly, from the greeter, to the Sommelier, to our server. All great. The menu is so freaking mouthwatering, good luck narrowing it down to one thing. I cannot say enough good things about the Seafood Pasta. It was beyond delicious. I will say, this is definitely not causal food. This is fine dining at its priciest, but worth every penny.

Visiting from Las Vegas… Marco and Alejandro delivered the best service I have ever had in all my travels. We showed up at 840 (20 minutes before closing) and were greeted with smiles and a welcoming vibe. They checked with the kitchen and happily sat us. Very friendly and very fun. Just fun, good people. And they know how to make a guest feel good and treat you well. Which can be difficult to find these days. I would come back to Houston/Galveston just for the service. Let’s not forget the outstanding food! The ribeye cap was amazing, the sides were succulent, and the old fashion can’t be beat. Even my kids mac & cheese was amazing. My wife went with the French 75 and the trio sampler of filet, scallops, and lobster…. And wow! Just WOW! The food was outstanding. The environment is indoor (classy) and outdoor (waterfront casual). Number 13 has it all. Would travel here just for this. In my opinion, having been to some awesome places in the world… this place makes my list of places to go back to and people to see! And also, I’m not a bot. Which is something a bot would probably say. (Get the cap!)

This place is amazing! The food is fantastic and I can honestly say that there isn’t a bad thing on the menu. The staff is extremely accommodating and will cater to your every need. The cocktails are very good with a large selection of wine. The only thing factoring into the negative is the cost. It is a high priced restaurant but makes for a nice upscale date night.

Our expectations were met and the bar has been raised! We knew we were in for a treat when the table bread was popovers. Service was attentive and we had a great server. The atmosphere was perfect for our anniversary dinner and most importantly, our food was so delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Not sure where to start. One of the best dining experiences of my entire life. Brought my wife here for our first anniversary and from beginning to end they made it an incredible, unforgettable experience. Champagne on ice upon our arrival at my request, a hand written happy anniversary card from the staff. OUTSTANDING service. And the food… well, to put it simply, after eating their Australian Wagyu steak I asked if I could meet the Chef. Chef Eric visited our table and I told him I had to meet him as that was the best steak of my life. To finish things off, I had given the waitress a piece of our wedding cake upon our arrival and they plated it and garnished it stunningly. This is our favorite restaurant and it’s not even close. Absolutely remarkable place.

We visited Galveston over spring break and tried out this restaurant based on the online reviews. It is not a place we would have found had we not done research online in advance. The front exterior is very unassuming and not what you'd expect for a higher end restaurant; however, upon entering the restaurant the atmosphere transformed. It was very nice and modern on the interior and very inviting. We did have reservations in advance. After being seated, we were given hot towels to wipe our hands...I didn't see this done for every table so unsure if it was normal practice to do this or they thought we needed it. I would have thought all tables would receive the service, if it was part of their normal practice. All of us received a popover with butter. Our 8 year old daughter loved it and they were delicious. On the food: we ordered a filet, truffle corn, wedge salad, shrimp & grits and our daughter ordered the 3 oz child's filet with fries. This is the first restaurant we've been to that had a filet option on the child's menu and we appreciated that. Some kids very much enjoy steak rather than the typical chicken nuggets and mac 'n cheese all the time. My husband's filet was cooked properly (medium rare) though it could have been seasoned better and did not have much flavor to it; however, our daughter's steak was not cooked properly. She also ordered medium rare and it came out all gray inside with no red/pink inside at all. My husband ate her steak and gave our daughter part of his steak to eat. She clearly knew it was not cooked correctly when she cut into it. We weren't going to say anything; however, our waitress came over to check on how everything was, so we told her the child's steak was not cooked properly. The restaurant managers came over and did apologize and removed the cost of the child's meal from our ticket (we didn't ask them to do that but it was a nice gesture on their part...we added that amount back in on top of the tip we gave our waitress). The truffle corn was amazing and we highly recommend that side dish. The shrimp and grits were solidly good, not the best we've had, but good. It is personal preference but I felt there was too much shrimp and not enough grits. The grits could also have been seasoned more as I could not really get any taste of the fontina and the cajun beurre blanc sauce on the side was very runny and buttery. The meal was on a plate with sides; however, with the sauce being so runny, I did not feel comfortable pouring it over the shrimp and grits...the meal would have been better served in an actual bowl. Our daughter ordered the smore's dessert. She thought it was fun to see it torched at the table; though she really didn't end up eating much of it. It was a little challenging to eat, the marshmallow was very hard to cut through (they only provided spoons to eat it with and it really needed a butter knife to help cut through it). We are still giving 5 stars. Nothing is ever perfect and sometimes it boils down to personal preference and taste. We would visit the restaurant again. Service was also impeccable.

Our favorite restaurant when we're visiting Galveston! This visit was no exception. Superb service and food! I am not a bread person but I absolutely cannot resist the bread they serve!! Wow! We started with the crab cakes appetizer. It was excellent. For our entrees, hubby ordered the seafood pasta that came with alaskan king crab and topped with lobster tail. I ordered the ribeye with Piitsburg sear and blue cheese crumbles on top. The steak was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of sear and so juicy and flavorful!! The seafood pasta was also excellent. For sides, we chose sautéed spinach and sautéed mushrooms. Both were delicious. For dessert we shared the warm butter cake. It was divine! Service was excellent as always! And the view! Awesome! Absolutely perfect experience!

We stayed in Galveston to celebrate an anniversary and wanted steak. Our hotel concierge recommended trying this place, so we gave it a go. We didn't realize it was so nice, but no one seemed to care that we were in jeans and T-shirts. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating! They were attentive and also didn't rush us, even though we arrived quite late. The atmosphere as far as the decor, noise level, music, and scenery was fantastic. The food was to die for! Be prepared to drop a wad of cash, but we thought it was so worth it. Our steak melted in our mouths! Our waitress understood that we were pleasantly full, but insisted on bringing out an anniversary dessert for us, which was so sweet of her--and it tasted amazing! This impromptu visit exceeded our expectations and made our anniversary that much better. Thank you for an enjoyable evening!

Great food, Great service and Great views on a beautiful day! What I liked most is that they weren't snobs. Some people came in wearing suits, some wearing flops that just got off the water. I took my son for some 1:1 time and when we were leaving prom kids were coming in. It's higher end if you need and can also be very casual. Love it. Hidden gem!

We came here for a fancy dinner out and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We made a reservation and were greeted and seated quickly. The reviews are accurate—the dress code is fairly lenient, with some guests dressed up in cufflinks while others wore fishing-style sport shirts. We had the sweetest waitress in the entire place (unfortunately I can’t remember her name). She was incredibly attentive and made us feel completely at home. My husband and I both ordered steaks, and they were phenomenal. We also had the jalapeño mac & cheese and skinny fries—everything was so good we ate until we were about to pop. Their non-alcoholic beverage options were also really impressive and delicious, which can be hard to find, so we truly appreciated that. We will definitely return on our next trip to Galveston. Sadly, we were too stuffed for dessert, but I can only imagine how amazing they are as well. You really can’t go wrong with anything here.

Our dinner was amazing and the service was great. Although our table was a small half booth which wasn’t preferred. It was Saturday night so unfortunately we couldn’t have got a bigger table but Dan, the manager was able to accommodate us in another area which we were appreciative of! Christi our server was sweet and overall we enjoyed the experience.

My husband took me to Number 13 for my birthday, and it was heavenly. The steak was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent, the atmosphere was ideal.

Had a great dinner at 13. We used to come more, but had slowed down. The place is amazing, the old chef is back and the food was amazing. We enjoyed the live music that was a nice touch and the bartender outside was a great. We had a nice conversation and learned all about him after dinner. The oysters were also perfect. Salty and full of rich flavor.

Number 13 is one of our go-to spots on the island. The indoor dining is elegant and relaxing, while the outdoor area has a casual, laid-back vibe with the very talented local artist Jordan Tydings performing during our visit. They serve organic, locally roasted Indies Coffee, and my husband’s Espresso Martini was delicious. I had the Springer Mountain Chicken, he had the Seared Tuna, and we shared the creamy Mac and Cheese—all full of flavor. We finished with the chocolate cake, beautifully presented and just as delicious as it looked. On previous visits, the Red Snapper and Seafood Pasta were also excellent. A must when in Galveston—attentive staff, thoughtfully prepared food, and a wonderful atmosphere make it a spot we keep coming back to.

We always make a point to dine at Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood whenever we visit Galveston. The patio is wonderfully dog-friendly, and the staff are consistently warm and attentive. The menu offers an excellent variety of dishes—from fresh seafood to perfectly cooked steaks—all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. A top-notch dining experience every time!

Such a wonderful dining experience. We were searching for the best seared tuna on the island and ended up being extremely satisfied with our choice. Wonderful service, amazing food, and the perfect ambiance for an elegant dinner.

Does this place really need another 5* review? Lol... What can I say? Amazing, vibrant, fun atmosphere, really delicious, badass food. I had the Japanese Wagyu, wife had the Filet Minon. The wagyu was extremely rich and tender. Will visit again! Our server was Neil. He was intelligent, prompt, professional

The finest of Fine Dining in the Galveston area! Overlooking the yacht harbor, with a view of Moody Gardens, there is no better scenery in town! Excellent steaks and seafood, and a great bar selection, you will be impressed!...

We eat here maybe 100 times. This Sunday afternoon meal was representative of our expected wonderful experience. Our server today was amazing and even though we know the menu very well, she made recommendations on the best options for the day. We sat on the outside deck and enjoyed the sunshine. I have to say that the quality of the food today was just exceptional. The scallop appetizer, with creamed corn and baby corn was one of the best bites I’ve ever consumed. Everything else was just as good as we have come to expect. The broccolini with Serrano ham… GTFO. What a great experience!

Based on my appearance I usually get sized up and judged. I felt that for maybe 4 seconds , but after I got seated we had the most wonderful joyful experience with impeccable service! I didn’t try the steaks, I will next time. We opted for seafood! I got lobster tail and king crab. The lobster wasn’t super tender but it wasn’t super tough either, but a big 20oz lobster tail it was perfect and the best it could have been, larger shell fish are usually tougher. The desserts were all very top tier. Well worth it. Maybe that best spot on the whole island of Galveston.

I recently visited this unique restaurant on Galveston Island, and it left a lasting impression. The oddly shaped dining area features remarkably high ceilings, creating an unusual acoustic atmosphere that's almost cavernous. The cuisine was inventive and delectable. I opted for the Tomahawk steak, which, although slightly overcooked, still packed plenty of flavor. Other standouts included expertly prepared king crab legs, flavorful fish tacos, and succulent lobster. Overall, the dishes were creatively presented and bursting with flavor. While there's room for minor improvement, this restaurant's distinctive charm and impressive culinary offerings make it a must-visit on Galveston Island.

Never have had a better dining experience. The server, Garrett, was fantastic. Great energy, quick with jokes, and very personable. Made us feel like we never made any bad decisions in regards to our meals. The food was fantastic. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Mac and cheese was delicious. Ribeye steak was cooked to my temp and was excellent. The scallops were buttery and delicious. The lobster tail was succulent. Couldn't have had a better dinner. Thank you to everyone still giving their best even at 45 minutes to closing.

Decent enough food. I had the lobster, wife had the wagyu steak. Both were decent. Nothing to write home about but not bad either.

Nice spot. Exclusive but not uppity. Be careful as all the sides were not good. They add tons of bacon but black eyed peas weren’t good. A5 steak was awesome.

12 of us had dinner here. It was my first time, and the others had been there several times before. The service provided by Garrett was top-notch, and the food was just as good. I had been wanting to try the wagyu beef, and it did not disappoint. We had just about everything on the menu, so delicious. Next time back i would like to try the lamb. I can't wait. Thanks, everyone.

I had a great time here. I was part of a sizable party and other than a couple moments of waiting for the waitstaff, the waitstaff did a great job of waiting on us. The food was amazing. I had a dry aged ribeye, with a side of horseradish cream, and each bite would make you stop and smile.

Went with the family. It was very good service and had the feel of a nice steakhouse. I would stick to the beef because my octopus was not very good. My wife liked her steak and the kids burgers were great. Only other drawback was it was really loud in there.

Excellent food and service. I was impressed at how much knowledge that the waiter had about how dishes were prepared. He really helped us make great choices. Drinks were well done and their presentation was excellent. Definitely recommend for a higher end dining experience. With that said, there were people dressed in shorts, sandals, jeans as well as suits, so pretty much anything goes which I thought was interesting.

Really good overall. The best appetizer was definitely the crab dip. 100% get that. Everything else was good, everyone seemed to like their food. The sides to get are the dries and the mashed potatoes for sure.

Great location and atmosphere. Food and drinks have always been really good. Very professional staff that is very accommodating. We’ve gone just a date and also large party for special occasions. I would recommend calling to see if you need to make a reservation if you are eating dinner. A great blend of island vibe and fine dining.

Came here looking for a fantastic evening out and the place delivered. My wife and I had a large variety of food and ended up with plenty of leftovers. We ended up splitting a baked brie and a wagu tartar. The brie was fantastic and the tartar was good (texture was unexpected). I got a mixed trio plate with tuna (great) steak (even better) and quail (average). My wife had the crab tempura (her first choice was out), she was quite happy with her choice in the end. Id come back again but would order differently. The outside area was nice but didn't have a good sunset view.

The menu was vast, service was excellent, two patios, upstairs and down. Wanted to try the fish, did not disappoint, got the halibut with lump crabmeat and Alaskan crab piece on top. Sauce could have been thicker, and more surrounding the fish. Cooked to perfection. My table had some great beer and cocktails, the burger was delicious, the bun, a little too thick. Fries were good. Fish is by itself, sides you have to order. My other fried got poke tuna, it tasted like the Hawaiian style poke the way it was seasoned. A little overpriced at dinner, would like to try lunch menu.

My family and I came here while on vacation and we felt so incredibly welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. The atmosphere was upscale but approachable with gorgeous views of the water. Everyone greeted us and checked to make sure we everything we needed from start to finish. The food was great! Spicy mussels and garlicky shrimp...the steak was good, but honestly the Kraken stole the show for me! Overall fantastic experience and will be coming back with more friends next time we're in town.

Great location with a view of the bay/marina. They have outdoor seating that would be fantastic for families on a nice day. As an appetizer we had the lobster deviled eggs and they were a really tasty bite. Expensive, but worth it! For my entree I had the fish tacos and while they weren't the best I've ever had they were still good. One order comes with 3 tacos, on flour tortillas with slaw and some sort of yummy sauce. I'll be back!

Beautiful evening ambiance and atmosphere for dinner last week. We decided to try the Galveston restaurant week menu, and I have to say that the desserts were the star of the show for us. We tried the bread pudding and butter cake and both were excellent. I was excited to try the beef Wellington but it was a little overcooked. My daughter’s macaroni and cheese was a 10 out of 10. So delicious! The extensive cocktail and wine menu was impressive. Service was a little lacking for such an upscale restaurant but not bad overall. A lovely experience and definitely a solid option for a special night out.

My spouse and I visited Number 13 for our anniversary dinner, and the atmosphere was absolutely incredible, truly one of the best in Galveston. The lighting, décor, and overall feel of the restaurant made the evening feel very special. The food was delicious overall, but my steak was unfortunately overcooked. The sides were beautifully presented and flavorful, but we had only taken one or two bites when our server removed them without asking and discarded them, which was disappointing. Our server began the meal noticeably unfriendly and disengaged, which set an unexpected tone for what was meant to be a celebratory night. To her credit, her attitude improved significantly toward the end of the evening, but the early part of the service definitely impacted our experience. For the price point and the occasion, the food quality and service did not quite match the exceptional ambiance. We had hoped for a more consistent experience from start to finish. Overall, Number 13 has an incredible setting and a lot of potential, but our anniversary dinner fell short of expectations in a few important areas.

Beautiful place to dine-inside or out. You can view the harbor and experience a nice warm breeze outside. Food was not that exceptional. We have been to a million places that try. I give Number 13 props for trying but serving baby shrimp (6) on a bed of shaved ice and charging $20 is not worth it. Sorry guys. The tacos were bland and meat was wet. IYKYK. Otherwise it was a nice overall experience and music was great as well as the atmosphere.

This is normally my go to place for Friday at lunch. They have a $35 meal that is normally fantastic. Last Friday we had a disappointing experience. Everything was off. There was a doorbell playing over and over on the radio instead of music. The lobster was either undercooked or overcooked, not edible. No credit at all was given off the bill from the bartender. Not sure I will give them another chance when there are so many other places in Galveston to eat.

I just left this place and I was very dissatisfied in the end. An entire lobster entree was very overcooked. This was noticeable just by looking at it, but the kitchen sent it out, the server put it in front of us, a manager looking person walked by and said nothing, and no one said a word when we didn’t take 90% of an inedible lobster tail entree home. Sadly the lobster tail on top of my entree was undercooked. Unfortunately, this was very disappointing to our entire night. Congratulations on the Kraken & Lump Crab appetizer, and the atmosphere, but I’m just offended we would be served the other things that truly ruined our good moods tonight. I expected a special evening and it was so disappointing and… pretty disrespectful that was something that would be served.

I’m sure this place is better than the experience that my wife and I had however, the food was just not it. Our server was very nice and friendly so don’t think you will get bad service here but the food is not anywhere near what the price of it is. The beef skewers smelled like dog poop and it did not taste good at all. Whoever came up with that chimichurri recipe needs to check their taste buds. We were recommended the atomic tacos I believe is the name. They were ok. Definitely nothing special. Bread and butter was very good and the drinks were great. Good atmosphere overall just very disappointed with the food we chose. I’m sure there are better things on the menu so maybe don’t get what we got. The photo shows how the packed our to go dessert.

Staff was great but both my husband and I got food poisoning. Both his steak and my lobster were raw. They remade my dish and although is was no longer drowning in oil, it was still raw and way too salty. Moscato was amazing.

We had a 2 month reservation for a large group. We touched base with the restaurant over the two months to ensure everything was still on, and it was. I even reached out to the owner to ask about special arrangements for our large group and the owner responded once and never again. I emailed twice again, and never heard a word from them. We get to the restaurant (large Homecoming group) for our 7:30 reservation. Ordered were taken around 7:45 but food was not delivered to the table until 9:40ish. So basically everyone sat there for almost 2 hours! This reservation was booked and the restaurant was aware of the group. Will NEVER go here again. Very disappointing.

The food was under par, over priced, and poor quality for the price. The was not seasoned, the sashimi tuna was thick cut and mediocre at best. The smoked old fashion was the worst. Paid 365 w/ tip but would've got better quality at wing stop. The crab cakes was decent but I wouldn't recommend this place. Great view though.

The service was really good, but all of the food was lacking for the price. Me and my husband split the charcuterie board. It was alright. Would have preferred just a cheese board option but we had fun with it. The smoked duck was extremely strong and overwhelming, just not good but the honey was so delicious it made up for it. The plate definitely needed a mustard of some kind to offset the sweet fig. We got the chicken Poblano soup and the onion soup. Both were lacking in flavor. We each got the 8oz filet medium rare. Mine came out a bit more cooked and was more chewy and stringy. And we both agreed the steak was just so plain and had no flavor. Not even salt and pepper. Once salted it made it better to eat but for the price we were very disappointed. It seems Gaidos is the winner for steaks in the area. No other place has been comparable

Due to a lengthy review, this note is being added to the top so that it’s less likely to be missed. We were EXTREMELY disappointed, will not be back, and we don’t recommend it here at all, especially for our black peers as it seems this restaurant did not want to cater to us in the same way as they cater to their other guests. We did not have a good experience here at all. We drove from out of town because we really wanted to try the burger they have on the menu, we’re real foodies and it *sounds* amazing. When we arrived the server was not exceptionally friendly, which was fine until it continued throughout the meal. We never got a refill on our waters, and we watched her serve other tables with much more care like bringing a couple warm towels for their hands before eating and roses to another couple because it was Valentine’s weekend. We received neither of those things, but kept thinking we were just excited to try this burger! We didn’t get to order any alcoholic drinks because the server never came back to ask, and thank God because it would have been even more of a waste of money. The burger LOOKED good when sat on the table, but it was the driest burger we’ve ever eaten out. We ordered it medium, and it came past well done. I couldn’t even finish the patty because it was so dry. I didn’t want to make a big deal about it and potentially ruin our planned outing, as I said we came from out of town just for this! I encouraged NO tip as we received almost no service, but he did anyway. We couldn’t help but notice we were the ONLY black people in the building and were receiving this type of excessively low class service when everyone else was not! We left appalled.

Small portions and over priced. I ordered the mixed grill, 2 sides & 3 drinks. $124. I got the 3oz medallion, the crab cake & the bourbon bacon stomach. The 2 sides (that were $28 and not included with the main course) were onion scalloped potatoes & the brussel sprouts. The food had good flavor over all. However, I could put all 3 of my main dinner in the palm of one hand. I was prepared to pay a higher price because of the reviews that I read, but they didn't deliver on value at all. The wait staff was top notch. Mike, the bar tender was absolutely great. One of the chefs came out to visit too. I would visit again just to speak with the staff, they did so well.

Very very very disappointing. Our family loves a nice meal and often spends a decent amount of money for a good atmosphere and great food. When we arrived, it was very obvious this restaurant was associated with the yacht club, but if you are not apart of this club, then DO NOT GO. Treated horrible, table was overflowing with empty cups and plates that needed to be taken away. Spent 3+ hours for food and drinks as a family of 3, two adults and one 12-year-old son. Never been so looked down on. I am not one to leave a bad review, but want to save you and your $$ as there was many other great places near to chose from.

I wish I would be able give this place 5 stars but most things were just off putting. I’m visiting from New York and was super excited to try this place but here’s a few things you guys can improve upon. I’ve worked in the kitchen, as a manager, server, food runner, bartender, and hostess in many restaurants. 1) Starting off, bread was not given to us even though other tables have been getting it. When we asked for it, this server said, “Oh, you guys didn’t get it?” Obviously not, everyone else had white plates with bread to munch on and we didn’t even have a plate. Just apologize next time. 2) We were both still pretty much munching on our entrees or just finishing when a female server came and asked if we were done. Please do not do that, wait a few minutes before we finish to come ask, “Are you guys still working on your plates?”. We felt rushed and understand that it was closer to 9PM, however we are paying a lot so we expect the best service. 3) We ordered dessert. If a table orders one dessert and there’s more than one person, then bring them small plates. Small plates with napkins and spoon on top. Do not just lay the spoons on the dirty table that several plates had been on. Do not let the customers lean over the one plate of cake. 4) New York Strip was cooked so unevenly. I asked for medium rare and one side was overcooked and the other side was medium rare. You need to let your steak sit in room temp, get it on a nice sear but lay the thicker side on the sear first if it’s an uneven steak, then baste well. If I’m expecting top notch steak, as it’s supposed to be a steakhouse, the temperature should be even on both ends. If the difference between the ends are too vast for an even cook, please adjust the size. You guys should know this. The actual medium rare side was also chewy, I should not have a hard time swallowing a new york strip — it’s not a chuck roast. Overall, the oysters were great. They were plump, sandless, and juice was still on the shells. Props for the crackers on there, it’s good for people who can’t stomach oysters as well. Cake was good but could be more moist. Environmentally the ambience was nice, the windows depict the boats and sunset very well, and music was well chosen. Edit: You guys left yourself an extra $50 tip? Are you crazy. That’s 35-40% tip including what we gave. We already tipped an appropriate amount for the service we had received. Never come here. FRAUD.
