Everything was delicious, nothing was dry, and by the end the only thing keeping me from licking the plate clean was the company I was with! Absolute recommend for a small, independent kitchen. Take your family, take your friends, or take yourself, just ignore that one snooty review and give them a try
Highly recommend! Fantastic food cooked from scratch. Stopped for a late lunch on the way through Geneva and enjoyed a delicious cup of soup (chicken sancocho). Excellent! 👌🏽🍲🇵🇷
We had a wonderful meal here. Shredded pork with rice and beans(delicious). And chicken in a wine sauce. Casual place. Owner was nice. It is his place and he does a good job. Beers were cold.
I was in Ithica for a day and found this place. Almost an hour drive. It better be good, I thought. It was a nice drive up. I found it and parking easily. I went in and ordered the fried chicken chunks, Chicaron de pollo. Nice dish. Allot of food. I don't know if they use chicken brest for the chunks. It would have been better, but it was still good. The rice and beans were also good. Spanish music filled the air. It made the atmosphere nice. The service was quick and also good. Except for my drive, I would come here again, next time I'm in town. I recommend.
Awesome food. They have tacos and fajitas which we tried and are the best you're going to find in this region, but the Puerto Rican food is an even rarer treat. In fact this food could stand alone IN Puerto Rico. Can't recommend highly enough. The tostones alone are worth the visit.
This was the best restaurant experience of my life! The chef came out to personally ask me if he could knock my dish up a notch and he didn’t disappoint. The salmon was cooked flawlessly. The mix of flavors and ambiance transported me to a tropical paradise. The establishment deserves every ounce of success and I can not recommend it more highly!
Really delicious meal! I ordered the vegetarian dinner with stewed mix vegetables (comes with rice, beans, salad and mixed veggies), a side order of tostones (topped with chipotle mayo), and my partner had the mofongo with pulled pork. Both meals were a generous serving size. I would order their beans again and again, they were so delicious. The mixed vegetables had a nice acidity that I wasn't expecting. The tostones were a little tough, but still tasty. Ps. You better like garlic if you order plantains (who doesn't like garlic)! Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Thought we would try El Morro in geneva . THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE !!!!!This was the smaller one . Well we ordered 2 specials and we dumb about not asking the prices . The plantain basket one was $43 ! That is insane ! There were tough slices of unseasoned beef , over cooked shrimp , and crispy chicken . The chicken was good . The plantain basket was inventive . Everything was bland . Our other dish was pork chunks and a plantain cake . The pork was so HARD I could NOT even cut it with a serrated steak knife .. I mean hard as a rock . Even the few I managed to open had little or no meat that wasn't that hard . Obviously it was left in the fryer far too long . That dish was $ 21.50. Again bland cake . When I complained to our server who was the owner about how hard the pork was he told me that's the way it's supposed to be !!! I told him it was inedible and that I couldn't even cut it he just said again that's how it's made. No I sorry ..no let me take it off the bill ..nothing . As a server he was not good. During the time our dishes were being prepared the cook went to the bathroom at least 3 time ??? Probably why the pork was so over cooked.! Was it because we were not regulars or ????? WORST MEAL OF MY LIFE !!! EVEN A " IM SORRY YOU DIDNT LIKE IT " would have made it a touch better but really the pork dish should have been taken off the bill . If the food is inedible you should not have to pay for it .
