This is such a cute place decorated top to bottom like a diner out of a hallmark movie. We sat at the bar on a Sunday night and were taken care of quickly. Our burgers were phenomenal and came with all the fixins. I wish I caught our servers name, because she deserves some serious kudos. She was running the bar, doing side, picking up the phone for take out orders, running the ice cream bar, and the dine in ordering area. She was on top of all of it, and never missed. We paid and were kinda sad that their system didn't allow us to tip when we paid by card. The server said they can only take tips in cash and that their square isn't set up to take tips. We weren't carrying any cash, and we're not locals so we won't be able to come back to make things right with her. I'm hoping the owners pay their staff more than server minimum wages, because most people are going to come and in assume they'll be able to leave a tip with their check when they pay by card. If we're ever passing back through we'll definitely be back, and hopefully we'll remember to bring cash!
Ordered 16 American Dreams to cater for work, and by God, some of the best burgers we have ever had! They even threw in an extra box of fries! Wonderful wonderful place! Will be telling everyone I know about it! 10/10! The staff was friendly, and the service is outstanding! The way restaurants should be!
We were in the midst of a 6 hr drive and happened to stop in Giddings when we saw the little Octoberfest going on. There wasn't anything that interested us but we did find Rebas and got lunch. We ordered a pizza to share. It was very good, the flavor was what I look for in pizza. The sauce was perfect and the sausage was sliced which seemed more authentic. We'll stop there again if we're ever passing through.
Wide range of food options, great desserts and ice cold beer. Customer service is outstanding and made sure we feel right at home. Small town vibes! Great restaurant. I hope my view reaches the owner or manager! Big shout out to your employee named Riley! Me, my crew and family pass through from Houston to Austin every week and stop in for dinner and Riley always gives us the warm welcoming and is a big part of why we choose Reba's for dinner every time. She's a hard worker controlling the register, bar and ice cream department and always has the upmost great attitude and always smiling even when we see she is stressed by herself. She certainly deserves a raise. Mahalos 🤙
Recently reopened! Cute diner vibe on 290 in Giddings. A great stop between Austin and Houston. We got the Pizza - fresh toppings, good crust. Added a lot of crushed red peppers as not too flavorful otherwise. I want to try the sandwiches/ burgers next time and the menu looks great! Easy parking on the side road by the building. Not sure how much parking there is though on a busier night. They have hand-dipped bluebell and shakes too!
A very cool little place right on the main drag in Giddings. One side is the emporium with amazing looking fudge and Blue Bell ice cream by the cone or cup. The other side is a very nice little restaurant serving lots of soups, sandwiches, and salads. Everything we had was very good, but not great. The decor is classic small town, carefully curated, funky and a little corny. The ladies working there could not be nicer. This will be a regular stop of ours when coming down 290.
Reba's is a restaurant that I always say, I want to go there but I never do. This time my daughter and I went. The atmosphere was okay. The food and the customer service was excellent. It was a little pricey for my taste but the price was equal to quality of the food. My daughter is already talking about when we are going back.
Easy to order, plenty of seating, and delicious food. I ordered the barnyard salad and really enjoyed it. Next time I go I'll have to try one of their other favorite offerings such as one of their sandwiches or pizzas.
The service got a 3 because the lady taking orders had a look on her face like she hates her life and all of us! She is literally the only reason we didn't get dessert that day..none of us wanted to have to talk to her! When I told another young lady that the soda machine was broken, she was quick to fix it with a smile! The food was great and came out fresh and hot!
A nostalgic atmosphere and classic American food. Not many options for those with food allergies. I did have a very nice large salad, the Barnyard salad. I was able to ask for no croutons, which made it gluten free. The portions are quite large, so it's good value for the money.
After realizing our go to spot in Giddings was closed on Sunday, we decided on Reba's for lunch. It doesn't serve Ribs which I was looking for so I settled on an order of BBQ chicken wings with a side of Garlic Knots. Wifey countered with a Ruben Sandwich. The wings were good but the bbq sauce didn't have any sweetness to it. Garlic Knots had very little garlic to it. Dipping Tomato sauce was fine. Well, I asked the wife about the flavor of the Ruben Sandwich and she said, "Ruben is Missing"! Oh well, the food was okay at best for us. Service at the table was non existent due to shorthanded staff and a crowded restaurant. The 4th of July weekend I imagine. This is an order up front, brought to your table establishment. You're on your own until you leave. FYI... It is a nice place and they serve Blue Bell Ice Cream 🍨🍦 4🌟
Dropped in on a road trip, my boyfriend and I were inspired by the Bonnie and Clyde combo, which is a great deal by the way. We got ourselves the French Connection and a Build-Your-Own pizza. The sandwich was so good, and I got the opportunity to peak at the other sandwiches in passing. I recommend the sandwiches if you are conflicted. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are very hardworking, I got to see them thrive through two bus loads of hungry teens. The atmosphere is fun and you really feel the old school vibe with it being in the middle of the old main strip. The art is so fun, if it wasn’t so busy I would have definitely gotten more pics.
The menu has much to offer, the space inside is quite large and plenty of light during the day. Restrooms needed attention. Overall the food lacked flavor in my opinion.
The cashier was super friendly. The margarita pizza was not cooked the way it should be. The basil should be cooked in whole leaves on the pizza. Topping cooked pizza with salad is not the same thing. We watched the server step over and around chicken bones in the middle of the restaurant at least 15 times and although she looked down she never bothered to stop and pick them up. This isn’t a complaint. It’s a teaching opportunity for the manager or owner. When having your staff clean the windows it’s helpful to provide cleaning supplies which allows them to reach. The windows had these streaks where you could see how tall they were. I’m sure they did the best they could with what they were given and taught. This place has potential, but maybe they think they’re so small town it doesn’t matter, but that isn’t true.
Small town charm and great food. Go from 3pm to 6pm for happy hour prices on beer and wine. They have an adult bar and dessert bar full of ice cream, cake, and fudge. Try the cheese curds very tasty!!! The bathrooms were clean, and the upkeep was good. Give this place a try for sandwiches, pizza, or a hamburger. Update Feb 2025: I had Supreme Pizza some negatives brocoli on my pizza???? The jalapeño were sour came right out of can with vinegar taste. Had to lower the rating of this place....
First time stopping here but I had seen it often. They had a good crowd on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered a sandwich and a side of onion rings. Went to sit down but many tables were dirty. Found one and sat... in ketchup. Cleaned that up. Got food but my sandwich came as a wrap instead of on grilled sourdough. Tried it but the tortilla was wet and it was not good. Went up and just asked for bread to replace the wrap. They offered to redo it but I said it would be okay. It wasn't. The bread really needed to be toasted because it was very moist. Gave up. Not sure I will try again. My husband had a chicken sandwich which he liked but said the chicken was half the size of the bread.
Woman on the phone on 12/29/25 at 3pm was extremely rude. No thank you, had attitude, horrible tone. If you don’t like your job work elsewhere. Will make the drive to La Grange Reba’s every time now because at least they have great customer service.
Another update, Aug 25, 2025!! I really don't feel like I will be going back! It keeps getting worse!!!!! This time we had to leave because as we were eating the place filled with smoke due to the vent hood not working. The owner said he would not be doing anything to fix it, but told the employees to keep cooking. We left before even finishing our food since our eyes hurt and were red from the smoke. This is not how you run a business. Other families were complaining and left as well. Multiple people walked in, and then right back out as we were leaving. The bigger question is why didn't any smoke detectors go off with that much smoke throughout the building. No concessions were made for the inconvenience while we now get to go home, shower and wash all of the smoke smelling clothing. Update... March 2024 @ new location. Quality of food seems to have dropped significantly. Atmosphere and service also seem less than before. Noticed quite a few new faces.... Order correctness is hit and miss. Prices have also risen a good amount for less quality. The bigger building does allow for more seating. However, the feel is just a warehouse feel. Bathrooms are quite nice, though. Good food. We like a few of the sandwiches and salads. Today we tried one called "Fallen Angel" and a Greek salad. Fun ice cream, kids loved it, and the fudge is great. It's clean and it's a cute setting with lots of classic movie and concert posters and photos. IE, Elvis, James Dean, Dirty Harry. We will return again.
