I came into to Togo’s on July 26,23 and I saw a customer being very rude to the employees that were doing her order both of them were doing her order then she starts barking and saying she didn’t want one of the employee the one with her hair down to do the order but they both did it so they can give it to her faster
Good clean restaurant with all the expected sandwich combinations for a Togo's franchise. Owner is often there to greet you and make sure you are happy.
friendly staff! not usually a togos person but their sandwiches were MUCH better than other togos i’ve been to. well worth the price :))
I haven't been to Togos in awhile and since I don't have one in my town i decided to stop by. I was served by this young man with earbuds. He was friendly and accommodating. I am a little picky on how my sandwiches are made but he was so great about it. I absolutely loved how my sandwich turned out, he made my experience very memorable and when I am back in Gilroy, I will only go to him!
Lots of meat, bread was good, cheese was good, pleasant service, clean restaurant, my "go to" favorite sandwich shop when in California
The staff here is always friendly. My sandwiches are made in a timely manner when I order online and pickup. I've only ever waited a couple min.
Places very clean. Employees were very courteous and got my order done right away. Sandwich was made the way I like it very good, thank you.
This place is a throwback to when Togo's was great! Fat sandwichs, killer bread, all fresh and made to order. Large #9 with mustard and peppers on the side is just as good as it was in 1982. Subway can suck it in Gilroy.
This is the better of the Two Togo's in Gilroy. It's what you would expect from Togo's - Fast, friendly service and good sandwiches. They don't give you a hard time when you want to use your rewards like the other Togo's in Gilroy. I always get it as take out, but the dining area is always clean and has plenty of tables. They even have tables outside under shade. I always go to this one now, even though it's a little more out of my way. It's worth it.
Monday special “pastrami sandwich” was delicious, fast and friendly, clean environment!

I haven't been to a Togo's in awhile, but since subway recently upped their prices, I thought I'd try it. I'm glad I did! The hot roast beef we got had plenty of meat and was tasty with the veggies (basic... Tomato lettuce onion). My dad and I split a large and it was a good amount, more than the usual in n out burger he typically gets. There was a line but the workers got through it pretty quickly and the cashier was very friendly. Definitely will become my lunch option for my visits to my dad!
The owner, Andy, is always there with a huge smile on his face and greets each person that comes in enthusiastically with a "Hello! Welcome to Togo's!" You can tell he is passionate about making his customers happy. I’ve never had a bad sandwich from there, They’re always very accommodating with special requests, and app rewards. it’s not just the best Togos in Gilroy, but the best Togos in all the neighboring cities too.
My sandwich was great. I had a hot number 7, roast beef with some fresh produce and it was made just right. I think next time I'll have to try the turkey and cranberry. That one sounds delicious. The store was very clean and service was fast and very friendly.
I am traveling this morning, so I went in right as they opened! The owner and other employee friendly greeted me as I walked into the door. I ordered a hot pastrami and it was delicious and fresh! My whole order was ready in about 5 minutes! Would definitely recommend!
Always good food and service! The older gentleman is very sweet and efficient ss are the ladies.
The young man that helped me out, he wears 1 ear bud, he was so friendly and sweet with me and my husband, he had such a great attitude and he made our sandwiches perfect!! I truly don't understand how you people don't understand that they do run out of items especially when they get busy, so take that into consideration. If it wasn't for them, then I guess y'all would have to make your own at home, or go somewhere else. So next time be considerate and don't be so rude with these young adults trying to get by. Next time I come through I'm definitely going to him again!!
If you like meat, which I do, Togo's is always good. Sometimes the service is a bit off-putting. I understand it's a tough job serving people but eye contact and greetings are always nice.

Togos on 1st street is family owned my husband and I get a sandwich every week. Arod and Andy remember our names and orders and there is always good conversation.

I love that their sandwiches already come with a hefty serving of meat. You don't have to pay for extra meat. The option of a tortilla instead of bread has been great as well.
I've been going here for the last 5 years. Sometimes the wait and line, can be long. I try to order ahead if I'm going around lunch. The staff is usually friendly and fast. I prefer togos over the other sandwich shop. Large 24 on wheat sounds good...
Good food, good service, and clean restaurant. Only compliant is that there is too much bread on each sandwich. Smaller rolls may be a better option or at least a choice in size (besides length).
Placed an online order and it was done fast but I requested pepper jack cheese and didn’t get it :( wish they would of payed a little more attention to the order details.. other than that it yummy! Would recommend!

Most of the time their sandwiches are good but I've been given the wrong sandwiches and wrong bread before. Plus been shorted on meats. And why does my tag say sourdough and they gave me some sort of oat bread...yuck.

First impression of this place gave me a bad taste. Jesus, one of the employees, pretty much shouted at my sons and me to wait outside. There was no need for rudeness. The woman, I didn’t get her name, was a sweetheart. She’s the only reason for the 3 stars. The owner is stressed, understandably, with COVID restrictions, but he needs to have a serious talk with Jesus. I work in the customer service industry and never in my career have I talked to a customer in such a disrespectful manner.
It's a clean location but gets busy and the quality of the sandwich really depends on who is making it. I've had great sandwiches here and it's usually the young Latina girl who makes those and few under par ones and it was a few of the guys that made those.
Hadn't ate here for over 20 years...and was heart broken....the quality and atmosphere was not the same iconic place it once was growing up...but still better than subway.
The lady that took our order was great but the owner/boss was being very negative and derogatory to his staff. I think he was trying to look efficient but he was just very disrespectful to the other workers. Doesn’t seem like a very pleasant environment to work in. Thanks again to the lovely young lady that made our sandwiches.

SLOW service. Asked for the number 31 & the guy proceeded to make the number 32. When I corrected him he argued with me and told me that I said 32. Very rude. He then said don't worry I will change it for you like he was doing me a favor by making the correct sandwich 😂 I love togos but this is the worst location I have been to. Employees need an attitude check.
I have only tried Togos once at a different location. The lady got my oder wrong and then left me at the register passing me onto her coworker who was making someone else’s sandwiches. When he was done he proceeded to help his customers pay and they left. Then confused began to help me. That is when we found out she had gotten my order wrong. She was kind about it and fixed it, however the sandwich was sloppy and difficult to eat.
Food is fine. Its what you would expect from a Togos. But I would not recommend for catering services. We had to ask for napkins, forks and knives. And they didn't have any plates, where the website said all of that was included. In addition, they messed up the order and none of the sandwiches in the party tray were made up "Togos-Style". Every sandwich was plain and the produce, mustard and mayo had to be added to each sandwich. This was difficult to do without plates. Again, the food is fine. But would not recommend for catering.
Guys, I really really like your food. Love the food. But it takes forever to get a sandwich made. What can you do to make the kitchen more efficient or the staff better trained? It's hard to stop for lunch when it takes twenty minutes to get a sandwich made. :(
Ordered a #33 which was to have 3 meats and an just. Got home and the sandwich only had 2 meats and no au just. I tried calling to advise that I didn't get what I ordered but no one answered phone and then was advised that phone message was full and could not take my message. This is the 2nd time they gave me a wrong sandwich. Just frustrated.
Not the Togos that we normally enjoy! The older gentleman didn’t have any gloves on while working at the register and then loaded our sandwiches in the wrappers. Ugh. The moth-ball smell was off the hook, which took away the generally pleasant smell of fresh bread. My wrap wasn’t made correctly and my sons sandwich was covered in pepper. Ugh. Maybe we’ll go to another one.

So Pastrami sandwich seems simple enough request. They pop pastrami in microwave and promptly over cook it. Meat should not be microwaved it ruins ir. Problem is I remember Togos original goal, good food excellent value. Current ownership view is least amount of food and maximize profits. I strongly believe Togos days are numbered as the amount of customers have dwindled to just a few... Sad..

i ordered online when i arrived 15 minutes later all 3 employees were standing around talking while my order hadnt been made then i asked them to have the guy make my sandwiches because the girl that was there had her long hair hanging down and i didnt want hair in my food when i noticed they weren't listening i asked if those were my sandwiches they said yes we are both making them to go faster i said i asked for her not to make my food cause her hair is down the female manager states there allowed to wear their hair down.......no there not ...when working in the food industry actually working with food you have to have hair tied back or in a hair net....and instead of saying we will have him make them they threw my sandwiches in a bag and handed them to me.....horrible
Girl working took half the menu off the board at 7:30 because, in her words, we don’t have any hot sandwiches right now because we close in a half hour. Get better people Togo’s.
The worst sandwich makers in town or ever for a Togos, lack of attention to what a customer has ordered need to repeat my orders multiple times at the end the order ends up being wrong. I would say lack of training from owner.
I ordered a number 24, turkey and avocado with Swiss cheese, for the concert I’m at tonight in Hollister. Guess what? No Turkey, no cheese. Unbelievable🤷♂️😥🤬😫 I would give them zero stars, but I wouldn’t be a able to post this message WAKE UP PEOPLE
Understaffed and under trained. Be prepared to wait for a bit as a walk-in I had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to complete my 1 sandwich order. Not coming back to this location.
Tried to get a cup of soup at 740pm 20minutes before closing time..... but nope already had doors locked and would not sell me a cup of soup. Worst customer service ever
I have given up on this location long ago. I had written a review a while back back I think it must have been deleted. If you happen upon this location turn back because I've probably had about 2/10 good experiences here. The owner is very rude to his employees and keeps them from doing their job efficiently. I once saw him berate one young man in front of customers! Everytime we go the line is SO SLOW. I get it... I've worked at Subway before and it takes a bit of time to make you meal just right but this Togo's pushes. I've seen myself and other people leave the lines. Now for those reasons and others (I won't bother getting into since my deleted review went over the professionalism at this location) I have stopped going to this Togo's. Now my boyfriend on the other hand LOVES Togo's sandwiches so he has been more patient than I and keeps going and hoping it'll be better next time. This time was the last straw for him. He ordered online (as he has the last few times because the lines and service are poor) and when got there the doors were locked. He knocked on the door asking them to open because he had an online order. Without bothering to hear what he says they shoo him off saying they are closed. He tries again because he had already paid for the sandwich but they bother with him and keep shooing him off saying they are closed. He gets in his car and as he is pulling out the employee opens the door to leave and lock up. It is 6:57PM at this point (they close at 7PM). He gets the attention of the employee and mentions "Hey I ordered online and already paid what should I do?" That's when they said "Oh your sandwich is right here". WHAT. If you had a sandwich waiting why didn't they bother to open the door??! Why were they already leaving the premises at 6:57PM? He gets home starving and realizes that they gave him a regular size instead of the large size he ordered and PAID for. Please please please don't waste your money at this establishment. We have given it chance again and again but it is NOT WORTH IT. Also the owner needs to get a smaller mask. Wearing it below your nose is NOT OKAY!
This is my go to togos in Gilroy. Today when I went in there were two young girls were working and the shorter one was sweet but the taller one was rude. I asked for no mayo as I am allergic and when I got home there was Mayo on my sandwich so I went back. They were super busy and only the shorter girl was working on helping people, the taller one was catching up with a friend doing nothing while her co worker actually worked.
This togos used to be the best, so I don't know what happened. Went and they locked the doors 15 minutes before closing, and just stared when went to the door. Open sign was still on. Then 2 weeks ago, they had a sign posted saying "sorry closing at 5 tonight" You never know what you'll get now at this Togos. It seems like the workers are walking all over the owners. I'll be calling corporate.
I mistakenly contacted this Togo's location last Friday instead of the one I usually go to on Camino Arroyo to place an order for pick-up. When I arrived at the Camino Arroyo location I realized I made the mistake when they told me I didn't have an order in. So, I contacted this location on 1st street to cancel the order. I spoke to a woman who said the order was already made. I told her I couldn't make it to that location. Before I could say anything else she hung up on me. Since I made the mistake I was going to pay for that order too, but she didn't give me the opportunity. When I called back to ask for the manager the same woman picked up the phone and pretended she didn't recall talking to me 10 minutes before I called back. When I told her she hung up on me she said she didn't know what I was talking about. After a few more words were exchanged she claimed I hung up on her...this is after she said she wasn't the one who spoke to me. All this time I was speaking to the manager of this store who acted unprofessionally. This is why I stopped going to this location years ago, they're rude and unprofessional and they surely don't have a model of leadership in their manager.
I have been a Togos customer since 1967. This location on HWY 152 is a disgrace to the fine restaurant that the Togos brand deserves. The manager told me "That's Your Problem" when I asked why I was being charged for aus jus when the sandwich I ordered was ordered without any condiments. No lettuce, mayo, mustard, peppers, tomatoes. This manager(Owner) needs a customer service lesson on manners. Don't go to this location. The Habit is next door and they treated us outstandingly.
Way under resources- cannot keep up with the late afternoon demands
I avoid this location at all costs. The owner is very rude to his employees. While he was making our sandwiches he was micromanaging his employees. Giving them step by steps instructions and kept asking us the same questions. If he would stop micromanaging and listen to our answers to his questions he asked us he wouldn’t have to ask them multiple times. He asked me how I wanted my sandwich and I told him just the way it is listed on the board. With nothing less or nothing more. Then he asked me again do you want this or that and I once again, just the way it’s listed. I think he wants to come off sociable but sir you are not. You are annoying and frustrating. I would only go to the 10th Street location but that location closed. 😔 So next time we want Togo’s I will drive the extra miles and go to the Morgan Hill location. I gave this location a few try’s to see if it’s better but nope, he is still the same.
Wife ordered the pastrami sandwich yesterday and got food poisoning and was vomiting all night. This is the second time I’ve had issues with this Togos hence the review, not going back and letting everyone I know to stay away from this Togos. I used to work at a Togos and since they have been a franchise stuff like this happens, it’s a bummer people’s like to cut corners and serve old ingredients and no longer care about the customer, it’s sad because I love Togos
Skimpy meat portions, mostly bread and produce. Ordered only because I was at a catered event and noticed that the togos sandwiches that were catered were nice & fat like the pictures online, so I ordered online for pickup and it was more bread than anything. Flat. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I decided to try in person ordering and they not only skimped on the meat, they flat out didn't add the salami in a turkey and salami sandwich!?. The bathrooms were also out of order and there were multiple flies in the food preparation area. One particular employee was not friendly. Never coming back here, not worth my hard earned money.
Togo's overall, I love. However, the quality of the meats has definitely declined over the years, especially the pastrami, which is my go-to. This particular location is not good at customer service or order details. They always miss something. If you order from their location on Door Dash, good luck getting your order correct...
This place is dead. I thought we got lucky but I think everyone else knows this place is run down. The food was terrible. I have never been dissapointed from a Togo's sandwich but this place managed to dissapoint in every way. We ordered the Tripler with Au ju. It is a triple meat toasted sandwhich. The meat was thin and stringy. There was no flavor. The Au ju was bland and flavorless. I would never go there again. $25 for a flavorless sandwhich. No thanks. I'll eat at home from now on.
