Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere and the most attentive staff. Shout out to Jude who served us, what a lovely lad. Will definitely be back soon.
Great food super tasty went before the theatre at 5pm but although we waited an hour for food was worth it 😋
Friendly staff easy to book, staff didn't hurry for Order or between dishes nor did they pressure us to leave.
Had so much hassle trying to get somewhere to have food with my daughters when we found this gem. The service was fantastic, the food was amazing and the price was fantastic. The staff were so friendly to the end even holding the door open for me to leave. My youngest daughter kept saying how yummy her pasta was and my eldest said that the ‘serving man’ was the best in the world and I have to agree he was fantastic. Thank you for helping turn a stressful situation around and for the great food. We will definitely be back
Had such a beautiful afternoon here last saturday with friends. I had arrived early as i had something to do beforehand and giving how freezing it was, instead of going to the pub, I decided to pop in and see if i could wait inside, i'm so glad i did, the waiter was absoulutley lovley, got my table ready and handed me the drinks menu while i waited- A warm, welcoming start. We had a private booth that felt warm and cosy. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very Italian- Full of charm, and decorated so nice for christmas. The food was outstanding, there was both a Christmas menu and à la carte which was great and plenty to choose from. I had the garlic prawns, huge, full of flavour, and an amazing sauce. One friend had the caprsese and loved it. Another had the antipasti, which was so big it could have been a main😅 Another choose the pate, again plentiful and enjoyed. I had the lasagne, lovely, huge portion size, I enjoyed every bite 😀. One friend had the Beef with veg and boiled potatoes, it looked modest at first though the beef portion was very generous, my friend loved it. The others had pasta dishes, including one with prawns, both raved about. The dessert was next level 😋 only 1 of us ordered the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream WOW! Probably the biggest slice I've ever seen with lots of chocolate sauce appreciated (no dry cake here 😀) It was devoured. Drinks wise, great choice, two of us shared a bottle of red wine, I was between two and asked the waiter for his recommendation, he suggested the second option and was spot on, it was full bodied and smooth 👍 👌. Two of our friends had the Moretti on tap - perfect. Coffee and liqueur followed, the Amerato wasn't for me although my friend enjoyed his and mine 😅. The prices were excellent for the portion sizes and quality of food, the atmosphere was lovely, quiet when we arrived, then suddenly buzzing as it filled up. The only slight to mention was the service was a little slow at times, although to be fair we did take our time deciding and the waiter was lovely and good- humoured about it.(when we finally said we were ready he joked " no 2 minutes " Fair play!😅 All in all it was a lovely day spent with friends, great food, great atmosphere and lovely warm service. Absolutely recommend 👌
While visiting the town, my son and I opted to have lunch and stumbled upon an Italian café. Upon entering, we were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere. The young server, whose name unfortunately eludes me but who was notably wearing a white cardigan, provided attentive service while allowing us ample time to decide on our orders. We selected a three-course meal, which was exceptional. I certainly intend to return! The pricing was reasonable, the service exemplary, and the food was exquisite. What more could one desire? Regrettably, I did not capture any photographs during our visit; however, I will make it a point to do so next time.
Really nice atmosphere. Attentive but not hassling staff. Really friendly. Lovely food. Comfortable in a big booth for 7. The restaurant is nicely lit, feels quite private but plenty of space. Never been before but would definitely go again.
Kicked off our corporate Christmas day out in Italian Cafe in the beautiful Merchant City. Great food and service, all the Italian classics with a festive twist! Will certainly be back for luncheon and/or supper. The girls drank so many of the delicious cocktails it's amazing they managed to extricate themselves from the venue! Great place.
Absolutely amazing meal last night with my niece. We were over an hour late for our booking due to taxi not turning up and the staff could not have been nicer. I had forgotten my specs and our waiter lent me his. We were going to a gig at the barrowlands so we had to rush our food which was a pity because I could have stayed there all night. Best Italian restaurant I’ve been in including ones in Italy. Top class ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A few times i have been here, absolutely loved it! I would always get there food, even inspired me to have a go at making my own! Chicken Amatriciana is my main and my little girls is the macaroni (forgot its actual name). Good choice of kids food, lovely staff and will always ALWAYS recommend this place! Amazing!
What a gem of a find ! Went for a chilled Saturday lunch, and the service was amazing. Really friendly staff with a bit of banter. Had water in minutes whilst we browsed the menu. Ordered a lovely lemoncello cocktail it was delicious. Good was delivered in a timely manner and very well presented. I had the caprse salad followed by risotto and both were full of flavour. Good portion size too. Staff were attentive throughout. Nice atmosphere, music at a good level. Will definitely be back
Beautiful food and lovely staff! All round great experience!
Excellent place to go for food and drink . We had steak and chips followed by Tiramisu , which all tasted great. Great ambience in this place and staff are all pleasant and friendly. Will be back.
Went in for drinks at the bar and was greeted by the extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone was very welcoming - had a great experience and would highly recommend!
Great food, service and nice place too. Very helpful staff.
Nice place with good food and drinks. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I would really recommend it. Great rosemarie focaccia
Best carbonara I've ever had 10/10. Excellent cocktail menu too.
A great atmosphere. Great variety of meals. They serve tapas. Good wines and beers. Nice décor and clean throughout including toilets.
Lovely staff, beautiful food, a really pleasant experience 😊
We had a family meal there during the festive period. The place was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent. The food was presented well and very tasty. We had a lovely time. Thanks!
An impromptu lunch here which was amazing! We shared the bread and oil starter then we had the carbonara with cream - next time I'll have it without as I struggled to finish it but it was absolutely delicious! The service was first class and the price was very reasonable. Great place and will definitely visit again.
Lovely Italian place with a really nice cosy but stylish atmosphere. The food was really good and I loved how they offer half portions of the pasta and risotto so you can try more things. Lots of vegetarian options too. Brilliant service, everyone was so friendly! We also shared the tiramisu for the dessert and it was so good.
My partner and I had a dinner reservation here on Valentines day and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The staff were very attentive and friendly, particularly Charlie, Rocco and Franco, I think were their names. The venue also seemed very clean and just had a lovely atmosphere. Will be back again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, service was efficient and waiter had us laughing and the meal was excellent. Also it was great to be able to have a conversation without having to raise our voices. A firm favorite now.
All round 10/10 experience, loveliest little place! Was quite quiet when we sat down for a little Sunday lunch, I had the meatballs starter and the Lasagne main course - toasty hot and utterly delicious! Served beautifully too. Lovely staff the entire time, super friendly, cozy little atmosphere to top it off :) Honestly couldn’t recommend it enough, you’re missing out if you don’t go
Superb. Food and wine is what you'd expect in a proper Italian restaurant. But in Glasgow. I used to have veal Milanese in Sicily, but the chicken Milanese here is of the same quality, and perfectly cooked and served. Absolutely delighted with this restaurant!
Absolutely great once again! Second time we have been here and loved it as much as the first time. Tapas selection of pastas, and pizza, even some fish, and then their homemade tiramisu. Just wonderful. Great service and fun/relaxed atmosphere. Will certainly be back again
Great food, great service, amazing staff! My friend and I popped in for dinner and were overwhelmingly pleased with how friendly everyone was. The portions and options were variable and I was met with great encouragement when I decided to order two desserts. Charlie gave us tips on where to go in Glasgow and Jude was exceptionally friendly. We had so much fun dining and chatting with all the staff we didn’t want to leave. The owners of Italian Caffe Enoteca better watch out because we might soon be moving in! 10 out of 10 highly recommend if you want honest staff with good and non judgmental dining recommendations and it was very reasonably priced.
If a genie grant me three wishes, I’d order the same entry, main and dessert as I did here. I can only wish my kids will be conceived and birthed in this very place.
The staff seated up promptly after we walked up and took our drink order equally promptly, and the gent who took our orders made us both laugh as he did so. The Carbonara was decadently rich truly delicious. The Sea bass was a significantly larger portion than I was expecting, not that I'm complain the fish was cooked beautifully and I was grateful for the potatoes and broccoli to mop up the sauce. We'd happily come back next time we're in Glasgow.
The food was expensive given the portion sizes delivered. The location was very pleasant, the staff welcoming. The pizza was exceedingly underwhelming and cool, not at all to restaurant standards. However, the dessert and starters were enjoyable. Generally, the price is not proportionate to either the 'experience', nor the quality and portion of food delivered. The seating was badly worn, and the mens' toilet had a ladder sitting in them. It was, genuinely, a nice experience - but if they seek to charge as they do, I think they ought to fix some quite fundamental things.
Like many others service is very slow I put thus down to being with large group. Atmosphere it lacked/ no Christmas songs playing. Staff looked as if didn't want to be there. That to one side, food was delicious. Fish was just mouth watering and good portion. If you are in group 10 ➕️ this may not be ideal place, felt staff got over whelmed
Enjoyed the meal, wine and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. However, the only reason they are not getting a 5 star review is when paying with cash I did not receive any change which I would’ve probably have left as a tip, but it looks like it was assumed as a tip. No idea if the staff will get this, but it would’ve been nice to have had the opportunity to leave the tip myself.
Food - pate and bruschetta were great. Haddock was meh (as to be expected) but the lasagne was unfortunately the worst I’ve had ever - way too salty. Service - took quite while for our waitress to return after I told her I needed literally 1 minute. I had to follow up as she may have been in a huff (but not sure - just a vibe) No one checked/asked to see how our food was at any point. But biggest tip - avoid the lasagne!
This was a first time visit to this restaurant and definitely the last. Sorry to say that the food was bland and actually my bolognese was just not nice. I’m not the best cook but I think most people would agree this is a go to dinner to compensate for a lack of prowess in the kitchen for most people but not the case for this Italian restaurant. I knew my chocolate sponge pudding was heated ready for serving because I heard the ding of the microwave. It wouldn’t have taken an inordinate time to have it warmed in an oven which perhaps wasn’t already in use. Pleasant enough although I would have preferred to not sit on my coat for lunch when coat hooks were visible. To be slightly mean it did act as a cover up for tired and worn upholstery. Sorry to say first and last last visit.
I get that accidents happen but it is how we deal with them that counts. After spilling a glass of red wine on my friends cream trousers, the female who dealt with this at the end could do with some retraining! We spent almost £500 on lunch for 6 the best she could offer without an apology was to.pay for the trousers my friend had to purchase to get home. Refused to give her name and then said she was the owner. When I explained I had worked with public all my life and could not understand her reaction she replied good for you! Not really surprised that the restaurant was not full as her attitude would certainly not encourage return trade. When I suggested the incident had put a damper on our afternoon out her reply was well you stayed for 5 hours. We actually stayed for 4 and once again we spent a lot of money in this establishment. Really sad to write this poor review as the food was pretty good but........
My wife, her mother and aunt dined here while on a girls shopping day in Glasgow on the 27th of July 2025. When presenting the vouchers they had purchased the owner remarked “He was not a charity , and he expected there to be four people spending money on drinks when using two separate vouchers”. He said this so that everyone around them could clearly hear the conversation. They were shocked and embarrassed when confronted by the owner. The food, when ordered, was delicious and delivered to them by much friendlier staff. The owner does not deserve the staff he has working there and you could imagine what the working conditions are like if his attitude and demeanour is anything to go by. A place that has been enjoyed many times before has now been ruined by this experience and will never be dined in again. Please be aware if you are using a voucher, like many in the restaurant were, you may be treated like a second class citizen by an un welcoming owner.
I was really looking forward to a great dinner after a very hectic week, but the atmosphere was completely ruined by an older man, I think either a manager or possibly the owner, loudly shouting at a very polite young boy who had served us, simply for drinking water while on shift. The language used was highly inappropriate and could be heard throughout the entire venue. Watching an older man publicly berate a young employee for something as basic as staying hydrated was extremely uncomfortable. That young man did not deserve to be spoken to in that way, and witnessing this completely overshadowed the dining experience. I will absolutely NOT be returning, and I cannot support or recommend a venue that treats its staff with such disrespect. How employees are treated speaks volumes about a place, and in this case, it was deeply disappointing.
