The food was amazing. Had enchiladas was really good. My girlfriend had stuffed avocado. That had chicken in it. She never had that before, and she said it was really good. Beans and rice were kind of bland but far from being bad. Was around 1130 we we stopped by on a Saturday. Not busy at all but had to get up to find someone for a Togo box and our check is why I gave services 4 stars. Oh, the chips and salsa seemed to be fresh and also where better than most places. If I am ever back in this area I will definitely go back.

I have been driving by for years. Finally I was so hungry I had to stop. The service was really good and so was the food.

I love this place and if you want to experience a wonderful meal try the Molcajete. I've never had a meal with this much exploding flavor.

We drove by coming from the Dallas game going back home to San Antonio and omg the food is amazing, service was awesome and the beer is cold. I definitely recommend this Restaurant if you out and about or just want good Mexican food this is the spot to come, too bad your not closer to San Antonio…. You need to try .. ☺️❤️

Came in town for a weekend/weekday getaway from Dallas to take our daughter to the dinosaur park and we went to a couple of restaurants BUT man let me tell yall - THIS IS THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN GLEN ROSE BEST MARGARITAS AND THE FOOD IS AMAZING We will be back FOR SURE From walking in and being greeted with such gracious attitudes and our waitress Mackenzie (I hope that how you spell it) she was attentive and so sweet- our 3 year old loved her and I loved the frozen margaritas she brought me This restaurant deserves a 5 star Not like the other restaurants we visited while in town - all we got was attitude and no frozen drinks So if you are in Glen Rose, you definitely need to eat at this restaurant and you will see for yourself

I realize that this place has received a few so/so reviews. My experiences here were all very positive. My daughter and I have been here a number of times while we were in town over 3 weekends (she was doing her SCUBA lessons not too far from here) and always enjoyed ourselves. The menu is typical TexMex and I have had their chili rellanos, fajitas, huevos rancheros, and carne guisada and all have been tasty. Service is good and they are pretty attentive. There is a little cantina on the opposite side of the restaurant but full menu is served on either side.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I've been twice and had Fajitas both times. They were tender and flavorful and a good value for price. We had Zion as our waiter both times, and he did a great job. A little busy, but good service. My only drawback was extra cost for tortillas over the 3 that come with meal. Can't see much about other fare, but I do recommend giving it try if you like fajitas. I'll update if I try other selections.

Not a top end restaurant but everything about the experience was top end. Authentic food, great service, casual relaxing atmosphere. Small town gem on the highway. You will not be disappointed.

We went here with friends from church. The place was buzzing from the noon crowd. We were met with greetings and seated promptly. Servers brought our chips and salsa right away. We ordered from a super friendly waiter. When the food arrived, it was wonderful. I was quite pleased with the entire visit. Wonderful job to all of this staff.

Establishment looks packed, but find a parking spot, because when you go inside there's a table available or will have one in a snap. Hostess greets & seats you immediately. Server establishes drinks & appetizers right after. Meal order taken shortly after. Server delivered meal with a quick lookover & need any thing else, 2 visits back, on last visit delivered receipt. A+ I didn't get her name but Louis hired a fenominal Server! I used to wait tables myself so I know when I get great service. Food was great, hot, service was great. This was after church too. I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. LOUIS YOUR DOING GREAT!!

Hidden gem! Absolutely best food in town for Glen rose city! Home made tortillas and the molcajete dish was very tasty!😋 travel a lot for good food and this is one you don’t want to pass up. Staff was friendly and gave good service. I could see it being busy for wait time but it’d be worth the wait.

I was hesitant to visit after reading some reviews but we decided to give it a chance. The service was fast and great. Angel was very attentive to our table and at no point we felt neglected. The salsa is pretty mild but not bad and the guacamole the same. The margaritas were delicious. The protein bowl was perfect. Exactly what I expected and my wife’s enchiladas were amazing. Next time we are passing by we’re definitely stopping again. Definitely recommend.

Los Primos is great! We had lunch at Los Primos and they allowed us to bring our dog! Because we had our dog, we had to sit on the patio - which is covered with fans and is very comfortable (even in Texas in the summer). Our server was attentive & friendly, and she was able to make good recommendations for our tastes. The queso, chips, and salsa were good to start with. Two of us had the "Tiger Enchiladas," that are awesome! Basically, they are cheese enchiladas topped with fajita meat and cheese; of course, they came with rice & beans as sides. One person had the floujitas and even though the name implies "small," the meal portion was generous. My gf had a half-order of combo fajitas, and according to her, they were fantastic. The half-order was enough for her lunch and she took home enough to eat them for dinner too. The group had several different drinks: a piña colada, frozen mango margarita, frozen strawberry margarita, and a "Breaking Bad Blue Margarita." The unanimous consensus is that they were all fantastic! The next time we are in Glen Rose, we look forward to eating at Los Primos again. Thank you!!

Best cheese enchiladas with chili in the area - we stop in anytime we're in Glen Rose. Chips and salsa are excellent and the flour tortillas are hot and delicious

We went to see The Promise in Glen Rose. So we stopped here for dinner. The waitress was very helpful with making selections. We ordered and waited for our drinks. They serve in large glasses which I prefer. My wife ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, I ordered the Primo Platter and a order of Corn tortillas . Came out very hot and fresh with chips. My wife’s chicken quesadilla was huge and almost an inch thick, the salsa and guacamole was very fresh. My Primo Platter was very good I had to try all the sauces with the enchiladas, My suggestion would be the White Sour Cream Sauce which has a thick cheesy feel to it, not runny at all. The waitress forgot the flour tortillas but we did watch her make fresh ones on the tortilla machine and bring them to us. I believe almost everyone that ate there around 5-530pm attended tonights performance. We met 10-15 people out there at intermission of the performance that we seen at Los Primos. Very good dinner and friendly staff. Thank You for adding to mine and my wife’s date night

Girlfriends and I stopped in after a trail ride on our horses. Parking lot has great space if you’re pulling a trailer. The weather was beautiful so you were able to sit out under the patio. Service was quick. Staff is very friendly. Our food came out nice and hot. I had the flautas which were very tasty. They have great salsa and also love the chips. But yeah, everything was great and our server Judith was very friendly. I would be back.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly smiles. Our waitress was really nice and gave great recommendation. We had swirl mango & peach margs and they were perfect! The carne guisado was amazing so yummy. The lunch enchiladas with the verde was the perfect size and homemade tortillas are a must try.

Tasty food! Service was good too. I had Bibi's Platter, a whole bunch of food for a good price. Very tasty stuff. Even the chips and salsa were great (I'm finicky when it comes to salsa, theirs is good, nice flavor and not overly hot), tasty seasoned chips too. I was glad I had brought my icebox so I could save the leftovers even though I was traveling. I greatly enjoyed the leftovers last night. Next time I'm in the area I'll go again.

Their parking lot was full yet they seated our party of 6 immediately. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was great for the price point. Our server appeared to be new at his job. We had to ask him for things, remind him of things, and one plate took much longer than the others to come out.

My wife and I really were impressed with the food and service. I had the fajita chimichanga covered in queso, and it was very flavorful . My wife had the steak ranchero, and she said it was also full or good flavors. The mango margaritas on the rocks are awesome. We highly recommend this place. Next time, I will add photos.

Expensive for what you get. Service was great. Comfortable atmosphere. Would like to see better plating for that price and build some great flavors into a new experience for traditional plates. I had the chimi, it was good... could be a whole lot better. I get it, it's Glen Rose, but it is a tourist town, go the extra mile.

The restaurant is very aesthetically appealing, very comfortable looking and energetic. The staff is also very friendly. The food was Very good especially the rice in general it's very well seasoned I'd just order a plate of rice if I could. Mixed drinks are also tasty, you receive a fair and generous serving size for both the meal and drink . I did notice that orders do tend to get confused a bit, not me in general but the others around me. The family sitting behind me had a problem with their order, they all got up shortly after and left without touching any of their food. Aside from that I thoroughly enjoyed this spot.

Good texmex. Chips are great. Queso is not too good. More like a thick soup. Tamales are excellent! Pricing is just a tad high for the quality, but overall a good place.

I hated that they were so understaffed, seated in the dining area makes it nearly impossible to get drinks from the bar and didn't get the additional salsa requested for the meal until we were almost finished. Hopefully next time worker shortages will have improved~ but will be back!

We had the Tamale Dinner, El Mole, and chicken nuggets for the kids. I loved the tamales and the Mole was interesting. It was the first time trying a Mole. The inside is a very colorful decor. Our waitress was great and super friendly.

Came here after visiting Fossil Rim and Dinosaur World. We were seated quickly, staff was friendly and food came out fast. The tortillas are made in front of you and are delicious. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area again.

Spending a few days in Glen Rose, TX playing golf. When traveling, I ask local golfers and hotel staff where to eat. This location was recommended by hotel staff. And it was a great choice. Beef enchiladas were STUFFED with beef. Chili con carne grave was tasty. Staff was friendly and it was reasonably priced. They also have an outside sitting/eating area. If passing through this small town, give it a try.

This is a fantastic spot to take kids! The service was impressively fast, and the atmosphere is very fun, with toys and even a Flintstone dino egg vending machine. The food was decent. My fish and shrimp was good, and the sopapillas for dessert were a big hit. The main downsides were the salsa, which was very bland, and the corn tortillas, which surprisingly didn't seem to be house-made. Overall, a solid choice for a quick, family-friendly meal.

This was an okay place. There are not too many options in Glen Rose so it worked for us. The interior is spacious and has a decent decoration. Good for groups, families and kids. The food was good overall with the fajitas done nicely. The tortillas are made fresh and you can see them baked right in front. Our desert - a flan and a lava cake, were both awesome. Two points for which I took a star away - 1. The servers are not very nice - they try but come across pretty insincere. 2. They have a lot of broken plates and they didn't seem to care.

Sorry. Our Tres Rios friends raved about Los Primos. My wife's cheese enchiladas were solid pieces of cold cheese in a tortilla. Everyone else in our party of five agreed the meals were bland. Service and atmosphere were good. We were disappointed. Every time we drove by the business, there was a full parking lot. Sorry, but there is a much better Mexican restaurant in Glen Rose.

Foods ok, nothing crazy special

My husband and I came here around 1pm for lunch on a Monday afternoon. The food was delicious, but the staff were not very friendly. My husband and I had to wait multiple times for drink refills and the lady seemed very annoyed, like we were an inconvenience. The food was so good, beans were bland, but overall it was okay. if you’re looking for Mexican I’d definitely do a takeout order or something.

Menu said Fajitas, got round steak chunks. Ordered Guisada also. Menu says ribeye chunks, got hard thin strips of overcooked flank or round steak. Save your money. Go elsewhere.

Good service, clean place, food was ok, portions are small. I did not expect this price for the amount of food you receive.

Food was mid grade, decent but not top in quality or value. Place was nice and decently clean, the staff was nice and friendly but not seen other than basic necessary duties of order talking and delivery of food and check. My party was there about 20 mins before I got there, the chips which they ordered queso (reminded me of velvetta and rotel but I didn’t try it because the chips were empty when I got there and stayed that way the entire visit. Food wasn’t ordered until I got there and we all ordered together. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad place to go I would just expect lower prices to better match the quality and service.

Food was good, just don't count on a real serving of guac with your entree. It's so tiny. Tortilla's were fresh made and unique to some but authentic to me. The service that day took so long. It wasn't from a short staff or anything because we could see the waiter. He was snacking in view and would just forget. Again we could see him. He was nice just very easily distracted which caused us to wait without peices of the meal that he was already supposed to be getting. I am a very patient person but this had to be noted. That is why I gave a 3 versus a 4.

We stopped by this place while visiting dinosaur valley state park. I ordered the El Sombrero fajita plate and hubby got the special steak matador. Both were not bad but not something to brag about. The flavors were good but the meat was chewy. Also the service was really slow and sparse and we had to wait a long time to get even chips and water.

I wasn't overly impressed with this place which was very surprising because of the reviews that I read. The service was almost non-existent and after sitting there for ten minutes without anyone coming by for a drink order I had to go and get a server. They were not even busy. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the ceviche tostadas as an app which were bland and whatever fish they used (believe it was tilapia) was grainy. I would not recommend those at all. I ordered the Bibi Platter for my meal which consisted of a beef taco, chili relleno, chicken enchilada, and a pork tamale. The only one thing I would change on that is the soggy chili relleno...the batter was not crispy at all and was overly soaked in ranchero sauce. My girlfriend had the chicken quesadillas which were actually surprisingly good, considering. The best thing about the place is the chips for the salsa. Not a bad place in a pinch but next time I believe we'll try somewhere else.

Food was bland, little taste even with the rice. Shrimp was cold in the tacos my daughter ordered. Husband said the salsa was hot but had no taste. Chips were a bit stale. Our waitress was sweet, the tea was fresh, but the overall experience was not what I had expected.

Used to be good. Now seems below average. Food was so-so. Portiins small or over priced. Barely cool flat beer. When you look at a picture of the glass it looks piss warm....not far from it.

We tried this place while traveling. Their salsa and chips were very good however I got carne asada plate and the meat looked, tasted and smelled old. I bravely tried a few bites and confirmed it wasn't right to eat and sent it back. The children both ordered nuggets and fries, both plates were over fried and tasted funny too. Probably from old oil. Husband ordered enchiladas and said the ground beef tasted funny also. The waitress said they'd take care of it so we got 6.00 discount. Won't be returning or recommending.

Overpriced non authentic Mexican food. Quality varied w each visit and portion size not consistent. Recently ordered a taco salad which contained a full metal bread tie. Imagine chewing on that! Called and texted pic to management. No resolution. $32 for two menu items that were crap. Never going back. Only plus side is tortillas are homemade.

Bartenders are awfully busy anywhere other than the bar. Been there a few times and it is difficult to get another drink or put in a food order while sitting at the bar.

Food is good but it is overpriced. We paid around $15 for a small plate of nachos and $25 for a full order of fajitas- which only included about 6 small little strips of meat. When we asked our waiter he confirmed that that was in fact the full order of fajitas. Also the place seems very unorganized, we had 6 different people help us while we dined there. 2 hostesses and 4 different waiters/waitresses. Even thought it was just a party of 2 (me and my husband) they had to keep coming back on different occasions because each would forget an item that we ordered. We had to keep reminding them that we were missing some of our food. Towards the end we just left it as is. The main waiter that was helping us was appologetic but I don't think we will be back here.

Food was less than sub-par. Our server was great though.

***WARNING IF YOU'RE GROSSED OUT EASILY SKIP MY REVIEW LOTS OF TALK ABOUT ROACHES*** We came in from out of town, and come here every time we visit Glen Rose, it's usually AMAZING which is why we keep coming back!! We always have a large group, somewhere around 20 of us were there Friday night. Drinks were okayish, the mix/alcohol ratio for the margaritas/rox was definitely off, too much mix and not enough liquor tasted like we almost just had straight mix! Food..... great quantity,almost too much, but according to my family quality was skimming by!! I wound up being entirely too disgusted to eat!! Our server was doing her absolute best to keep up with everything! We can't say anything bad about her!!! Our biggest problem is your ROACHES!!! SO MANY ROACHES!!!! They were EVERYWHERE in the dining room meaning they're PROBABLY in the KITCHEN as well, I didn't eat once I looked down and noticed the 1st one! Then I started paying attention and realized they were EVERYWHERE!!! In the bathroom, crawling on the floors under the tables, and then we saw them crawling up some chairs on our way out. Not sure if we will be back again, it's depending on if y'all get a PEST CONTROL COMPANY out or not! Look, YES pest control companies can be expensive, but LOSING customers is gonna be MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE!! PLEASE do something about the ROACHES so we have a decent place to eat when we come out again in a couple of months!! PLEASE Thank you and again, our server did great!!

Where to begin. It was so hot inside you could not enjoy the food. The chips and terrible queso were just the starters. The crunch tacos consisted of ground unseasonably meat, stale tasting shells with huge amounts of lettuce and itty bit of cheese. My son ordered enchiladas which were smothered with the same nasty queso that came with the chips. I would not waste my money on this food again. The staff was friendly, I'll give them that.

I wish I could give zero stars for the service. The dining room was half full, we waited 15 minutes for our waitress who disappeared every 2 minutes. We were there 1 hour and saw her 3 times. 2 of those times was because a manager saw us looking for her and tracked her down and another time, the sweet girl serving chips had to track her down. Waited 40 minutes for our food after finishing two and a half baskets of chips. Husband bit into his meal and chipped his tooth on an unidentified object. The manager was very nice and seemed to be putting out fires the entire hour we were there with various customers. Our waitress just kept claiming that the bar was super busy, yet all the tables around us had impeccable service. We won't be back, which is a shame because I usually enjoy the food here. Do yourself a favor, and go across the street to Mamma Mia.

This is not the first time but will be the last for right now. I ordered a taco salad asked for no pico. When it was brought it had pico on the plate. Not a big deal since it was not on the salad. I asked if the stuff in the little container was ranch the waitress said yes and continued that is the last of ranch we don't have any more. I said no worries. I went to put it on the salad and it ran like water. I tasted it and it was deffently not good. I told my waitress that the ranch was bad. The manger brought me a new taco salad and told me she tasted the ranch and there was nothing wrong with the ranch. I have never been treated like that at any restaurant that i still eat at. There coustomer service has deffently been going down hill the last few times. I wounder If I was given the the last of the ranch how did she taste it if she did not came and get it from the container that was at my table. If your going to tell a coustomer that they are lying you might be in the wrong bussiness. You have lost my bussiness for a while. We go there at least once a week and the ticket is usually about $100 before tip for 6 people.. You have just lost about $400 a month for a $10 taco salad hope it was worth it.

My family and I stopped by this place assuming it was good and being attempting to decrease our hunger. When we went in to be seated no one was really there so we were able to sit 6 people easy. That should have been the first sign to run away. It took time for our waitress to come. But she was nice and polite during the entire time and seemed to be the only person working in the place that had 5-10 other workers doing nothing but standing around. Now the food was horrible. There’s just no niceness about it except it was hot. My niece ordered the tortilla soup and it tasted like grease from the chicken and water. So we sent it back hoping for something with more flavor. So you can’t go wrong with tacos and that’s what she ended up eating. The crazy part was that the manager came to the table to see what was wrong. And my mother in the best way she could said the soup had no flavor. And the manager said that they never had anyone complain about the food and it gets sold out. We all were amazed with that statement alone. The attitude she had was ok. Since we were visiting, we were trying to tell her that the food was nasty. Now please don’t get me wrong, I ate most of the food, and I promise you there will not be another visit to this place unless I just want to get drunk and go home. Because it has been a full 24 hours and my stomach will not let me forget the food I ate there. I don’t know what kind of queso they are making but that ain’t cheese. I never had water down chili sauce but they did that. I can only appreciate the restaurant being open in our time of hunger. But I would drive another hour somewhere else before stopping at this place again.

I pacifically asked before ordering steak fajitas, if the meat was going to be tender. Needless to say when I got it, it was chewing a boot along with greasy flour tortillas that you cannot eat. The so-called owner was offensive when I tried to tell him that there was a problem with the food, he wanted to argue with me rather than to take care of the problem. Then the lady that was making the tortillas head on a rubber glove, she would handle the dough for the greasy tortillas and then she would go over and pick up a menu take people to their table after touching all of these items she came back and proceeded to put flour tortillas onto the press Talk about unhealthy and uncleanly. That’s what that would be. I was offended by the fact that the so-called owner would not listen to me, he got all offensive and started raising his voice and so I told him that I was done to get away from my table. I would not recommend this restaurant whatsoever, and I will never be back. !

to start , we ordered our drinks when we got there , as usual. they weren’t brought to our table until we were almost done with our food… Food was not good. Flour tortillas were raw, fajita plate only had about 5 pieces along with a pile of onions & green peppers. Molcajete was okay, carnitas plate was VERY greasy , more rice & beans than carnitas. service was AWFUL. She took about 20 min to take our orders after leaving chips & salsa. To top it off, we were charged the wrong ticket!! Had to get it refunded & charged the right ticket now i have to wait on bank so i can see my money again. Guy at the front was more apologetic about the situation than the manager herself… i do not recommend this place at all. not real mexican food.

I have to say this is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life. The service is terrible. The queso was watery and runny. It was terrible! I appreciate you getting back to me on the review thank you so much and how you can improve the service and the food is make sure that temperatures are right because there’s no excuse for the queso being as watery as it was and make sure that your staff is warm and friendly and caring instead slamming hot sauce on the table when I asked for it very nicely, but I couldn’t remember the exact name of it. That waitress was very rude. The server really didn’t know what the heck he was doing. He was a young kid obviously what I would like is to. have you as the owner put my name on the list and my friend who paid for the food on a list so we can get a free meal next time we come in if we come in because like I said, I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant And had the kind of customer service that I had at your establishment so if you can, please put my name and my friend’s name who paid for the meal it was over $60 and give us compensation for it. In other words a free meal of anything we want on the menu that would be greatly appreciated and get rid of some of those people or train your staff a little bit better to know what the heck they’re doing. Our waitress was sweet which is the one star. The food was fine, nothing I’d come back for, but good enough for the price. As we were finishing up a small cockroach starting crawling out of our mostly eaten chip basket. The lady that originally sat us’ solution was to bring us another basket of chips without a word. We got up and left

This restaurant was nasty. Our family loves Mexican food. We will never come back. When they brought out the chips and salsa, it was primarily crumbs. I ordered the beef and chicken combination fajitas. The chicken had zero seasoning, and it tasted like old meat that had been reheated. The peppers and onions didn't taste like how fajitas taste at other restaurants. Our waitress did a poor job. Also, if you want a take home drink, they charge almost $4. The food was overpriced for what you get. I told the waitress the chicken tasted like old meat and they didn't offer to make things right. We were still charged the 19.99 for the fajitas. I would not recommend.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Drink order took 15 to come after asking agin for it. Food took even longer to arrive. Server was non existent for most of the dining experience. The wife and kids meals were ok at best. My carne asada was ordered as medium rare and came out as well done jerky. Inedible. We were not the only table experiencing issues. One table received their fajitas but no sides or plates for at least 10 mins after. Other tables waited on drinks forever. Will not revisit ever.

We were seated and forgotten. Wait staff never came to our table. Eventually we grew tired of waiting and chose to leave. Almost all servers were at the front talking. I wish I could review the food here, but I didn't even get anything to drink. This was my first, and last, time here. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

So if you want meat with your quesadillas, it’s a dollar more even though it says it comes with it on the menu watch out for the tip. You may ship a tooth. Will not be back

This place is a scam!!! Was there 10/15/25 for food and drinks. The food was average, but the drinks had no alcohol in it!!! I had a regular margarita on the rock, and my boyfriend had a top shelve marg plus two separate shots of a blue drink (I don’t remember the name). When we got home an hour later he checked his alcohol level with a breathalyzer and it registered 0.00%. I was the designated driver and I checked mine and it also read 0.00%. Just to make sure, I had a sip of vodka at home and later checked the level and it read 0.03%. DO NOT CHARGE PPL FOR SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT PROVIDING! You guys are sucks!!!

Went for dinner and took forever for our food to be delivered. My meal was cold and the server never checked on us so mine was not resolved Asked to have meal taken off as I couldn't eat it and server said she'd get manager. Manager never came so I had to go find someone. They took off 5 dollars (meal was 10). Will not be going back.

Atmosphere was great. Chips & salsa was bad, didn’t think you could mess salsa up. We then ordered queso, big mistake, I don’t think this queso was actually cheese. Again I didn’t think you could mess that up. My sister ordered the cheese enchiladas, and when I saw her meal come out with that same fake cheese smothered all over it, I was so thankful I opted for the completely flavorless fajitas. Overall if you hate texmex food, you will love this place and give it 5 stars.
