I just received my grubhub order from Crushcakes and they had run out of an item and took the time to call me and offer alternates. I took the pumpkin cake and am so glad I did. It is amazing! Thank you for such great service and wonderful food.

I love crushcakes! They have the yummiest seasonal drinks, like a strawberry matcha latte, and their food is always so delicious. I am so proud of this business for how far they’ve come since opening and for what they stand for! If you ever need to feed that sweet tooth, come check out Crushcakes!

Lovely space with delicious cupcakes! I love that they have mini sizes, so I can enjoy it with less guilt! 🧁🧁

Amazing! Of course, their gluten-free cupcakes and baked goods are phenomenal, but their breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, and all that stuff is just as good and worth getting. Staff is really friendly and there to help. We use them for catering. Every time we have a party or celebration, they can make cakes, custom, however you want. The food is delicious as well as healthy and you feel great after.

Love this place. I used to eat here everyday for 3 years when i worked nearby. The chickened out and happy pig are great, but you have to try the red velvet pancakes. The Chocolate Chocolate and strawberry cupcakes are also amazing!

The lovely people at Crushcakes really care about their customers! I recently ordered 18 cupcakes for my daughter's birthday, when I picked them up, everyone there made a point to wish me a great day and sent their warm wishes for my daughters bday! On top of that the cupcakes were delicious as always!!! We love Crushcakes!!

Love, love, love Crushcakes. Such chill vibes and delicious, reasonably-priced food. We like to bring our dog here and sit in the back patio area. I recommend the Honey Cinnamon Latte and the (exceptional) Chicken Salad Sandwich.

Scrumptious cupcakes and well-balanced breakfast options. Brekkie tacos are yummy with exceptionally tasty hot sauce on the side. Carrot cake cupcake is off the charts delicious with a slightly crispy outside and moist center topped with a generous serving of melt in your mouth cream cheese frosting.

Reasonable prices, laid-back atmosphere, and the vegan vanilla cupcake is one of my favorite desserts in SB.

Ivan. The Man. I called to order cupcakes for my daughter's 21st birthday for delivery. He totally got it, walked me through the best way to order online and then specially, on his own volition, chose a great mix of cupcakes, decorated the box and wrote a note to my daughter. In other words, he delivered in the most amazing way. And, he added a bonus cookie. LOVE. Shout out to Ivan's sterling customer service. The cupcakes look scrumptious. I'll be back and I'll surely be recommending Crushcakes. Well done.

Yet another fantastic breakfast spot. Went there because the hotel next door wouldn’t serve breakfast anymore - COVID-19 rulez. Great coffee, parfait, oatmeal,...and the pastries were to die for!

Ordered a double chocolate 6" round and it came out perfectly. It's for a friend's birthday party and I'm hoping it's a huge hit. It's a cute little shop with a hole-in-the-wall feel. I even got a peanut butter cupcake on my way out. There's also a good, albeit a little cramped, number of parking spaces.

Crushcakes is consistently delicious! My husband and I regularly order takeout during the week for breakfast or lunch and keep going back. Online ordering is a breeze and they always get the order right. Coffee is great and of course the cupcakes! The pumpkin spice is my current favorite. Highly recommend this cafe all around!

Got the Rolex wrap this morning, I’ve never written a review for any place in my life. This thing was so fresh and tasty that I decided to come on here and show some love! It was totally worth the price as they threw in a side of wonderful fruit as well. Super tasty and I’d recommend to anyone! Service was great also. In a town that’s lost its way when it comes to pricing and portions, crush cakes got it right. Thanks!

When I came back to discuss a mix-up from a previous visit, Ash, the new operations manager, handled everything with patience and grace -- even with a customer firmly in the ‘I Do Not Care’ club that day.

I love the vibe of this place. Perhaps it’s because it’s a rainy gloomy day, but the rustic house look and feel to the place is reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest to me. Great little coffee spot

What a lovely surprise in Goleta. Wish I'd bought some merch. Good was excellent and fresh. My tortilla chips weren't made there but they served the salty ones, so they don't lose points. Service was great. My Mom had the turkey burger and salad. She likes her coffee hot, so when asked they heated it up for her immediately. Young servers were chatty with each other, but prompt in service. I got the brekkie tacos. No extra charge for guac. It was just there! Win. I had the chai matcha hot. Yum.

We showed up, right as they were closing, and yet, they still served us with big smiles on their faces. They were sweet, just like the cupcakes. Shout out to Lily, Ash, and Ethan for being so helpful, we had originally planned on just getting a few pastries, but left with a bag full for our friends. Meow.

I really liked this place. Nice interior, good menu small but with a great selection, delicious coffee, burritos and sandwiches are delicious, served with fruit. The staff is polite, the food is prepared quickly, the pastries are fresh, tasty. I loved the atmosphere so nice to be inside and lots of cute details, nice patio

Wonderful little independent cafe' not far from the airport and a short walk from the new Marriott. Chilaquiles signature breakfast (almost like breakfast nachos) was delicious, service was fast, prices were good. And the cupcake I grabbed for the walk back was perfect.

Cozy and quaint walk-up joint serving great coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch, and of course, amazing cupcakes, muffins and pies. Went for brunch and ordered Yuli's Breakfast Sammie, Avocado Toast, and Huevos Rancheros. Each hand-crafted dish was prepared to perfection and left us completely satiated. While you're there, do yourself a favor and try their Dirty Chai - it's liquid gold.

Fresh ingredients equal tasty dishes with plenty of choices. Quality baked goods and coffee tea options. Inside or patio seating.

Moved to Goleta 2 months ago and stopped into this little gem. Ash and the rest of the crew are amazing! We now stop in here at least 3 to 4 times a week just to say hi and order food and coffee. You can tell from talking to the employees they really care about what they do and it shows in customer service. We appreciate you all, keep up the great work!

The only negative is the parking situation, but that's a city problem not a them problem. The food was phenomenal, really Mediterranean diet forward but still options for the meat and potatoes type. Coffee was good and they had amazing loose leaf tea. All the staff is really nice as well!!! I'm not local but this is a place I'd love to come back to

I had a really good wrap there just the other day, the cowgirl or something like that and it was delicious. The side salad was a tad small but the homemade vinaigrette was absolutely delicious. The staff was polite, the food delicious and came out fairly quickly.

Their service has improved a lot. They have very good lavender Chai teas and coconut cloud cupcakes. I had previously driven 10 minutes out there to pick up an order I had placed 5 minutes prior and when I got there they told me they had not started my order and that it would take an additional 15 minutes for my order to be ready. I was furious but it happens. I do love their food though so I've updated the review.

Good breakfasts and salads. There is always a gluten free and vegan cupcake option. Next time I will try the gluten free bread for sandwiches. The back patio is lovely. Parking can be tricky at busy times.

Frankly, it feels still like a post covid attomospher. I tried to pay cash with a 100, they only except 20's. I paid by credit card which actually cost most for them. The plain Bagel breakfast sandwich was OK, but, the Bagel seemed half the size of a normal Bagel IE: THIN. Wooden chairs and Tables ok, but, cosy. Come back, maybe. M.

I love crushcakes and come every week for lunch. The cafe food is delicious, and somehow tastes even better than you expect. Always get a freshly baked cupcake or baked good. Service is friendly, and they do a great job at retaining workers so you get to know the staff. One star taken off because the place needs a major remodel.

Disappointed with Crushcakes. Thought I'd try them again. Sadly, all depends on what you order. Tried a toasted bagel but the tomato slices were mushy, the onion just tasted weird, the lettuce and sprouts were tolerable, the avo not great from a resturant. The bagel itself was like a cheap knockoff, it was thin and mushy. I had something like it once from a very cheap package of bagles from a discount grocery. I could not eat it although it looked pretty. So another waste of my money. Sad, Why??? If I wanted cheap sloppy food I'd go to a fast food shop, not a place that claims everything made from scratch. Really disappointed. I've had items that were delicious. Guess it's all in the right pick or they are still going downhill. Their breakfast sandwiches have been good in the past and their woke turkey burger but haven't tried them lately. Too much a guessing game to see if you get something yummy, just tolerable or inedible. Really sad about this shop. ..................... Prior reviews ................. Has much improved here! Stop here a lot more often. ........... Today my oat cap is a throw away. Not only bitter, hard on stonach with no foam and not creamyl i taste like regular brewed coffee with some oat milk thrown it with bubbles so is only a half a small cup or bad tasting coffee. Why??? What's so hard about making a coffee? Had an avo toast with a little goat cheese. They forgot to toast the bread, making it hard to manage. Bread is too soft to pick it up without everything falling off. Avocado was sliced on top if the bread. Tasted nice, fresh, tasty, but I really could not understand the presentation. Avo toast and oat cap were both throwaways!throwaway! Going somewhere else. Was served wilted greens with partially rotten avo, no flavor other than spoiled. Oat cap was a dense heavy tasteless soup. ............................ Has much improved here, food and coffee is good. Stoping here a lot more often. ........... Today my oat cap is a throw away. It all depends on what you order and when you arrive. Some items are kinda dry and boring (just not for me.) If you hit the wrong time its impossible to park and if there are a lot of take out orders it means a longer wait for walk in orders. I stop in occasionally for a bit of lunch or breakfast and an oat latte. I don't find enough on the menu that I really enjoy to go more often but gave 4 stars because the food is good, the coffee is decent and service is pleasant and friendly. They are often out of bakery items. Cupcakes are okay, not my favorite so I don't tend to order them.

S
Suzy Jimenez

Adorable and cozy place, but service not the best. I love the menu, I want to try everything. The dirty chai latte is great; but when you order make sure you specify if you would like it hot; mine came with ice (isn't the default at coffee places usually hot? ). Not much of a big deal for me, it was still good. Also, for the high price of the granola cup I was quite dissatisfied that there was no banana. Lastly, there was no receipt ever offered or even printed. I'll surely come again, of course. Just minor nuisances that I wanted to highlight.

A
Ameia W

Good food and drinks, but pricey and stingy. Ordered the French toast and they gave me ONE strawberry and THREE slices of banana for $10. The whip cream was delicious and tasted homemade but again, I had barely enough for half of one toast. The staff was very friendly as well.

I want to start by saying that I respect Crushcakes as a business and I love their food. Today though, I went in with my significant other on our lunch break and I got the KC’s Sunnyside. He got the pesto panini sandwich. My issue lies in the fact that by the time that I got back to my job to enjoy my food (10 minutes later) my potatoes were very obviously undercooked and grainy. We left the restaurant around 1:05 after waiting 20 minutes for to-go food, which I understand is normal everywhere. When my significant other went in to get a remake because I had to get back to work, they said that they couldn’t remake it because it was “an hour ago.” There was offering from my partner to show that the food was barely touched and still no effort was made to fix the issue aside from offering a side of potatoes to my already cold food. I figure calling ahead would help but it did not at all. I’m now upset because it’s 45 minutes after I wanted to eat, my vegetables are cold so the quality of my meal is tampered, and I felt absolutely disregarded as a customer. If you’ve never had a KC’s, the potatoes are the base of the meal with arugula, kale, goat cheese and egg on top. Vegetables and egg don’t microwave well and I’m more upset with the fact that $32 dollars total were spent just to get met with what seems to be a half-attempted “solution.” It’s now 2:20 and the rest of my food is cold. Update at 2:32- I got to open my new potato side and they are also still very undercooked in the middle ☹️

M
Martin Sanchez

Staff has always been pleasant here. However, it seems like they’ve downsized some of their products while charging the same price as before. Their large drink is now only served in a 16 oz. cup.

Small crowded space. Always too hot or too cold. Impossible parking. Over priced bland food. Small expensive marginal drinks. Conveinient location brought me in there. I will go out of my way to avoid this place in the future.

I would give them 0.5 rate. Not a great experience. The food was okay, but the cashier wasn’t happy while she took my order. But she treated differently when she took order for the next person. ( I don’t know if it was racial discrimination or not, but I felt really bad and I will never go to this place ever again) I usually tip at least 15 percent even if I take out the order. But this is the first time I didn’t tip.(I went there 10am today)

Unseasoned food and mediocre pastry. If you love frosting that needs to sit out before you can eat it then this is your spot. Also, this is not Black owed business at all! Just because you have biracial children does not qualify and seem fraudulent.

The owner handled a situation incredibly poorly today. I witnessed someone come in and search for parking, they waited a moment to see if anyone was leaving when another car came in and began to honk at them. This second car proceeds to park and hit the windows of the first car and yell at her to move. A spot then opens up and the first car parks and goes into retrieve their things. inside crush cakes, they are then harassed by the owner for blocking parking and was refused service despite them being the one harassed by another customer. Will never come back after seeing how this customer was treated.

Worst cafe and bakery in town!! The only good thing about them is the honesty of their employees being able to admit that they have communication problems. Story goes: we have a surprise birthday party happening this evening and the celebrant is a Vegan. As we all know, the search for vegan pastries is a hassle alone. We discovered that this establishment sells vegan cupcakes. My daughter called on Thursday to place an order for vegan cupcakes to pick up on Saturday. She was told to call the morning of. I asked my daughter if she was certain because I didn’t believe the information to be accurate. She replied that it was. On Friday, I asked my daughter to call again and confirm. She returned my call shortly after contacting these folks and re-confirmed with me. We knew that they opened at 8am on Saturdays and I allowed time for them to open their doors and get settled with possible early-bird risers. I called at 8:10am to order 24 vegan cupcakes. The incompetent girl who answered the phone this morning had the audacity to tell me that we should’ve called 48 hours before. I immediately and abruptly halted her incompetence and told her that my daughter called on Thursday and Friday and both times, she was told that she was to call the morning of. The nerve of this girl to tell me otherwise. I told that girl that because their people are incompetent, I wanted 24 vegan cupcakes and I could give two **its what it would cost me because it is for a surprise birthday party and I wanted it this afternoon. The girl got my name and number and stated that she would call me back to let me know if it could be done. I received no courtesy of a return call. I got to my gym studio and had one of my girls at the studio call for me for a follow-up while I burned off my frustration with this place and my girl was told that they weren’t going to be able to satisfy the order and the girl admitted that they have communication problems at this place. Thankfully, indeed I am thankful for the universe, my girl Raven (she proving the definition of her name), and Lilac Patisserie, we secured an order of 24 vegan cupcakes. You all are my saviors. Screw Crushcakes!! Take your business directly to Lilac Patisserie if you’re seeking vegan pastries and stay away from the incompetence of Crushcakes, the establishment and its employee. Yes, they are bound to crush your damn cakes!!

I need to revise my previous 5 star review. I've been going here for years and it's been on a constant decline. Today I was fed up; the service at the counter was sour, they served me the wrong item, and when I finally got my burrito it was a total mess and impossible to eat. They said they'd rewrap it and they just returned the exact same thing. I would suggest you find another place to go for anyting bakery or food-related. Old review, "This is a great place to go. They have delicious vegan food and they have cupcakes and pie. The Wi-Fi always works and the coffee is delicious. It can get noisy so if you're trying to work bring headphones."

Probably the worst chilaquiles I’ve had in my life. I asked for fried eggs over medium and they made them scrambled. I’ve never had chilaquiles with corn either and this came with. Also those green leaves I don’t even know what they are. I also paid for a chocolate croissant and they forgot it so when I asked for it they were sold out so they gave me a scone instead. Service was regular definitely not great. Total spent was $32 for which I would have expected better.

I hate to leave a 1 star review, but here we go. Before I continue this review, I have to give them credit for backing their staff. After working in multiple industries where clients are involved with great feedback as well as complaints, they truly will back their staff and see what went wrong instead of taking my word and reprimanding them. My situation on how things were handled and the quality of a product I got was not up to par for what I know these guys can do. I’ve been into CrushCakes Goleta before and ordered food and cupcakes and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING, but that doesn’t change the recent experience. I recently got married and ordered a DAIRY FREE (not vegan. Not GF. And for clarification DF needs to be lactose free and can have eggs where vegan cake cannot) 2 tiered cake. We took the cake out 1 hr prior before cutting and serving per guidance of the staff. As soon as my husband and I went to go cut into the cake, it was hard as a brick and already starting to fall apart. The cake was inedible, and everyone probably took 1-2 bites before putting it down and not continuing to eat. We didn’t even cut into the bottom tier and it was thrown away. I couldn’t even save a piece to save for our 1 year anniversary. There is $500+ down the toilet. We reached out to Goleta store prior to posting this review in hopes to resolve this situation, but not really. No apology. They kept reiterating that they were a small business and that this is never happened before. They were going to meet with baking staff earlier this week, I requested the outcome, and no response. I understand that they are a small business and for a fact that I personally have worked for small businesses before and that stuff happens. They have reviews with similar stories to mine where cakes or cupcakes were dry and/or inedible. We wanted to make them aware of the situation so this doesn’t happen again to anyone in the future. We did not receive exactly what I ordered and only received a $100 refund. I asked for ingredient list which was sent over and following in the email was “For Clarity this is what we follow when someone mentions they are Vegan / No Dairy.” So they make the same cake regardless if you’re vegan or DF. Technically since the cake was vegan, there was no dairy in it at all, BUT since I stated while ordering DF, we were expecting to have eggs in the ingredient list, which there wasn’t. Being DF and vegan are similar but totally different. Just because someone is dairy free, does not mean they are vegan and gluten free, and same goes for across the board. We weren’t told by time of placing the order that the cake would be made vegan and GF. In my personal opinion, they should be able to adjust their recipes accordingly to what people as for. I’ve stated multiple times on how upsetting it was for the outcome of said cake. Hot take: I should’ve been refunded MINIMUM 50% of what the cake cost, not $100. I did not receive the cake I asked for. I understand food costs and cost of labor, but come on. Do better to make this right. I want to keep supporting, but after all of this, I won’t be returning. Photos taken are from an iPhone and from a distance, but figure they capture what I’m talking about.

If you don’t look “woke” Be prepared to be discriminated against! Front staff females are rude every time especially the girl with the glasses The cooking staff however, is extremely talented! Cupcakes are way too sweet and dry for my taste
