Panoy Bistro – A Hidden Gem Worth Every Mile! I don’t write reviews often, but Panoy Bistro absolutely deserves this one. I drove 4 hours to get here, and after just one bite of their beef drunken noodles, I knew I’d be back—multiple times a year. These were hands down the best noodles I’ve had in YEARS—perfectly chewy, packed with flavor, and just the right balance of spice and savoriness. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite. To top it off, I tried a Lao beer, and wow—what a surprise! Crisp, refreshing, and a perfect pairing with the dish. It totally opened my eyes to Lao cuisine, and I’ll definitely be diving deeper into it from now on. The vibe was cozy and welcoming, the service was warm and friendly, and the food? Unforgettable. If you’re even thinking about coming here—do it. Worth every mile, every minute, and every bite.

Amazing Laotian food in Nevada City! So rare to find a Laotuab restaurant but this place exceeded expectations! The curries we're delectable (try the Ginger Curry), papaya salad was perfectly spiced, and the sticky rice was great. Service is very friendly and helpful, and the space is fresh, lots of plants, and comfortable.

Amazing food. Had their Fresh Rolls, Tum Som (Papaya Salad), Ginger Curry with Beef and Naga Noodle with Pork, all level 1 of Laos heat index. Super tasty. Next time will try higher heat number.

I am beyond picky about my food. Sometimes healthy food has no flavor and especially for us vegans. This place was amazing. Really great food and I love the decor. Ate in the outside patio. I’m here from out of town for work so it was nice obviously my first time trying this place through a recommendation from a work colleague. Wish they had this restaurant in my hometown. While I’m here I will be back!

Wow, all I can say is this food was really amazing all of the delicious flavors and well crafted menu options were absolutely delightful. The service was above and beyond and the atmosphere was very lively and exciting. Will come here all the time now this is a true hidden gem! The waitress took a little while (and effort on our part) to warm to us, but she has served me before and on that occasion was very friendly. Today’s visit was a Saturday lunchtime and we were the only people on the outdoor patio (there was nobody inside either). We made our own atmosphere, of course, but it was not a lively spot if that’s what you’re looking for. Perhaps other Saturdays are different (it’s a holiday weekend). We cannot wait to go back and try other things on the extensive menu.

I think this place is the best restaurant in grass valley. Love the younger waitress who is silly and sweet.

Not Thai food but similar. Delicious South East Asian food. Really good flavor and very sweet staff. it feels like home when I come here. Now I'm not from South East Asia but I've been there and it feels the most authentic for sure. Definitely recommend!

We had a great dinner here in late January 2026. Really delicious! Also, super-friendly service, and a fun cozy dining room. We will be back!!

This place is one of two of my favorite restaurants ever. The staff is so lovely, the food is out of this world delicious. I’m always eating my Togo food out of the container because I’m stuffed but can’t stop eating it. If you are a meat eater, vegetation, or vegan there is something delicious here for you. The flavors are intentionally crafted and they grow many of there ingredients on the patio. I can’t recommend enough!

Its simpler layer of flavors actually accentuates the acidic refreshingness. Less sweeter than Thai yet flavorful. Crying Tiger Noodles are spicier than I expected but I could not stop eating it. Overall it was a great dining experience.

On our way to Tahoe we stopped by this place since it looked good on reviews. We were seated right away but didnt realize they closed at 2pm and we got their at 1:15 pm. Server seemed annoyed, not friendly, not sure why. We ordered Vao Vieng Bbq Pork and Lao Honey noodles. Bbq pork looked like the portion was small but I got full after the dish. Strong soy sauce flavor, maybe too salty so I had to order rice on the side. No rice comes with dish. Came with 3 different dipping sauce for the pork and they were tasty. Lao Honey Noodles had great flavor, but noodles were about 50% of the dish while vegetables were just as much. In the pic you would expect all noodles but underneath the noodles was bunch of cabbage. Overall I probably wont be coming back here, although their menu has interesting things I want to try. Maybe off day for the server.

Small enclosed restaurant, flavors are good, service was a hit or miss. Waiter sat me and quickly cleaned the table without wiping it and said it was ready. They didnt change the water pitcher that was previously used by the last customer. Never gave me a new one. I ordered beef where it comes on a sizzling plate. It tasted good! But bummer is the sizzling plate was not sizzling, why even bother using a sizzling plate if u arent even gonna heat it. Might as well just use a regular plate and dont advertise it that its on a sizzling plate.

Food lacks real authentic flavor. Service is slow and partial to regulars. Server talks endlessly to locals and ignore as traveler’s.
