They're slightly slow but it's understandable why since they get a lot of people all the time. Still love em.

Their fries are to be enjoyed by everyone. Their burgers are moist and juicy and topped perfectly.

Great fries!!! I usually get a fish sandwich my daughter tries the chicken sandwich good food not greasy!

Checkers is basically a classic at this point. Especially with their fries :) you can always count on them to have good burgers.

The Hempstead store was great everything was fresh and hot.I went to the Baldwin store first the sign said open at 10 am I was there at 10:45 I waited till 5 after 11 only 1 person cleaning there I gave up and went to Hempstead.

What can I say burgers and fries lol. The food is decent and came out pretty quick. There was an annoying begger that comes up to the car but a quick no we don't have any change and she was on her way.

Haven't been to Checkers since my NC days. Inwas pleasantly suprised. The food was great. The fries were fresh, and hot. Will definitely return!

Checkers fries....the best! Tried their garlic parm fries & stix, and it was AMAZING! I think Checkers might be the most underrated fast food chain. Seriously. Theyre soooo good yet u hardly hear anything about them. Maybe coz they dont dump tons of money into advertising like the other guys. Coz they dont have to! Thats how good Checkers is. My only complaint is that there isnt more locations...every town should have at least one.

I'm from the Midwest and didn't know Checkers was out here so I was really happy to see that. Had myself a couple double Checkers with cheese and that hit the spot. News in a decent part of town and there's a clean little spot.

food needs to be packed better for delivery and prepared so it looks appetizing and not messy. other than that, food was average. edit: 5-stars, got a smoky bbq buford from drive thru. process was fast unlike other fast food restaurants. friendly staff. fresh ingredients and everything was very neat this time. the food hits hard after the gym. will definitely come back again.

Hard to find soft ice cream anywhere and Checkers has soft ice cream, so I go for that. I tried their wings which were good but I thought a little pricey

Asia is absolutely incredible!!! She’s so sweet and kind and made the overall experience good. She made sure to ask about our day and our experiences at this location. Definitely recommend checkers to others!!!

It was unusual to have a I take my order but it was correct and fast and all the condiments I asked for came with it. It's a nice change up from me. Having to wait, check the bag and extra extra thanks. That we're supposed to come with it like the fries. But it has been a year or so. Since i've been to this location, so i'm very satisfied with the service and the food quality.

If you never tried checkers, you should. The food is prepared to be more like classic old style food. Yes it is still burgers but they taste good and the taste reminds me of the burger places we had as kids a long time ago.

They forgot my stuffed burger When I told them the lady argued me down that she didn't forget it finally she had someone else bring it to me as if she couldn't be bothered.

The wait time was long, they messed up my order but the customer service was great.

Checkers is good. I like what they make here and the prices. If you haven't been here, I recommend to check it out.

It's in the county center of hempstead so when it's busy late night the drive-thru takes a tiny bit longer than other locations. as long as you understand that going in, youll have a great experience as they make the food nice and hot regardless.

I do DoorDash and I like their quick and efficient checkout process. Like most stores that support DoorDash the customers orders are sealed upon arrival for safety and quality

Overall pretty good and cheap but would recommend not trying the mozzarella sticks. They are much too sweet and the marinara is not very good.

They dont close until 2am on most nights. Friday and Saturday they close at 3am. Just a really good fast food burger. Service is average. Not good not bad.

Another good fast food "diet cheating" place with decent prices and great deals if you have coupons! This location is not different from most others, they're mostly good!

Usually slow to answer in drive thru. The orders always take forever to come out seems like the people working there don't wanna be there. Depending on when you go there are kids hanging around outside not looking for cars and being disrespectful.

i normally dont even do checkers..actually i never do it. Dont know what got into me that day but i was set on it. rode my bike up there cus its not too far from the house. waited just about a few moments shy of 15 minutes. extremely disrespectful.it wasnt dont purposefully though, i could tell that they were either a few ppl short or a few good workers short. food was decent for the money and location. i got a loaded Philly cheese steak for about 4bucks..***update never going to checkers again. Claudia the manager sucks. no customer service here

Good food, slowest service ever. I've been here twice at different times of day, and it's a nightmare how long the wait is with kids in the car or when you're in a hurry.

Thought it was fast food service. Got 3 small meals and had to wait almost 10mins...2 chicken tender meals n a burger. never again will come here

The food is great but it open at 10:00 am and the people are not even opening the doors just talking . And my family and I are waiting in the hotness . No shade but look at what ur employees are doing because some people are hungry in the morning

I used to love checkers but the hassle to order with a machine sucks. It's not the same to speak to a real life person. Then you get to the cashier and that lady was soooo blah 🙄 she looked and sounded like she was done and it was just noon. Probably ordering ahead next time if I ever come back

I did not enjoy talking to someone who was not real at the drive thru, especially since it claimed what I requested was not available yet when I went to the window the lady said it was and admitted that was a common issue. If you're going to replace a human with a machine, please make sure it's fully functional first. Other than that, the food was great

Drive thru only. Its regular. The staff is always terrible, the wait is always long. Thank God we dont go here for customer service lol.

The food here is nice smells fresh and is kept clean... for the most part. Now it's quite small and seating areas are limited to force you to outside. The service at this place is pretty slow, and took them forever too even fill my cup up and bring me my food. I've been here multiple times and the case is still the same. There are no nice seating areas in the restaurant. But for the most part it's a nice small place to grab a bite to eat.

Service was slow and the fish sandwich does not compare to McDonald's or Burger King.

I have tried several locations and I have always been disappointed with the staff, the food and the physical building and lot. Skip the burgers and fries. The chicken nuggets are ok. 😑

I ordered two big burgers with some fries. It was ready in less than 30 seconds. It tasted like leftovers reheated in the microwave.

I generally go to a different checkers which is AMAZING... their food is always fresh the tenders are usually juicy and hot... so I went with high expectations thinking Checkers are all the same... apparently not. The tenders were dry and the fries were warm.

Verrrrry slow waited almost 35 minutes in line wanted was to leave but too many cars behind me couldn't back up this is my last visit

Really upset...took half an hour to get my meal ready...if I had an opportunity to give them 0 star...I would have...

Food quality is low. Food items have way too many calories. The food choices they have now are disappointing

3 out of the 4 times I went to go order something from the establishment I wasn't attended to nor was service provided to me, waited over 5 minutes everytime to get some service when there was no line, got ignored...said screw this place and decided to spend my money across the street at burger king...HORRIBLE SERVICE

Food was lousy. Fish was greasy & no taste. Gave my 2nd one to my dog. Unlike the Checkers I've eaten in before.

I ordered two cheeseburgers small fries and a large drink. They got the drink and the fries right but totally ruined the cheeseburgers they just gave me buns cheese pickles and ketchup they forgot the burger not on one burger but on both. Wow what happend to Checkers?! The pie stale and unbeatable, the fish sandwich like a rock hard. I was disappointed!!!! It gave me One more reason to cook at home.

Horrible experience, the counter never works, they always get the orders wrong and argue that what they gave me is what I ordered even when it clearly indicates that my order on the receipt is different from what they have me. Their logic is idiotic and they take forever to prepare your food.

Made a drive through order, it wasn't very busy two cars ahead but the server was playing around with the customer in front. 20 min wait after I ordered, I left because of no movement.

They took 10 minutes to serve only 5 ice creams also i ordered a chocolate milkshake cream and they gave me vanilla ice cream with a straw

The fact that my food always fall out of the wrapper, leaves leaves something to be desired. Or everything is upside down in the bag. I stopped going to that one because I get so upset at the service I loss my appetite.

I would give none if I could they forgot my drink order then got my food order wrong and the computer system went down. We will never be back and we love Checker's.

This place is Horrible!! If you ever want to FEED YOUR Dog, cat or any Pet please Bring em to this Location. Customer service is so bad like people working in the hood or Something lmao I HOPE THEY FIRE THE MANAGER 1st after that everything will be Normal.

The workers need retraining on what condiments are, it's bad enough a received a burger with a speck of ketchup. This is definitely the last time I buy from here

The last few times I've been to this Checkers the food was not that great and the service is very slow for fast food. The Buffalo wings were very dry with bearly any sauce. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was not fresh. Very dry and cold like it was sitting for a while. The soda was watery like the machine was out of syrup and fresh fries were cold too. Had to sit at Drive thru window and wait about five minutes for my food which is long for fast food. I didn't mind because I thought they were making it fresh until I realized it was not fresh. Old and cold.

Ordered threw uber and canceled under a minute for a $40 order, thy charged me 37 for cancelation and said they already started the order , so they charge full price and won't deliver the food? If it's full price for cancelation its not canceled and yall just stole money from me

I have ordered through drive through and the app. Unfortunately, it is constant that I have to go back to the restrant on Fulton or call about a incorrect order. Florida's Checkers is more accurate with completing tickets and presenting delicious food. The Checkers on Fulton in Hempstead also has to worse customer serive. No one wants own up mistakes or compensate for the inconvenience. Instead they would rather gaslight and be condescending. If you want Checkers try others outside of Fulton Ave in Hempstead. Your Tyson Chicken wings and Walmart Bugers are better then their food and service. Disgusted! Read the ticket and tell me if it's what I got. The app is even worse.

Don't ever go to this disgusting Checkers restaurant. There was a long hair in my food. I went back for a refund and the manager which is a older Hispanic woman gave me attitude to refund my money. She didn't apologize almost as if hair in the food is a common occurrence. No one working there is wearing hair nets. What a ashame that Checkers allows this behavior. The health department needs to shut this place down.

Took them forever to get my food, they never put cheese unless you ask, burger only had lettuce and the patty, nothing else. By the time I got my order, the cheese in my mozzarella sticks was already dry. Cheese fries don't have too much cheese on them and the fries in general are soggy. Only have one indoor table which is a folding table and they have outside dining too. The place is a mess as well. Fix your restaurant!!

I have visited checkers in 10 differing states and always had a decent meal and service. However this was the worst meal and service ever. Burgers were salty, fries warm, had to send back items that were incorrect not 1 but two times. I mean we were there for 30min in a drive thru in acceptable. If it wasn't 10 at night and we had a 2hr drive ahead of us is if just taken my money and gone somewhere else.

- Place is super small . Only one table to sit indoors. The place had a stronger misty smell . I waited outside for my order . Service was very slow . People would skip . Food was just horrible . This is by far the worst checker spot I have ever been too. Nothing from here even tasted good . I ordered a burger. It was undone and cold by the time I received it . Order fries and they they gave me a very small amount of fries .
