Good Peruvian restaurant with a lot of variety of peruvian dishes. Located on a main road with parking out back, El Ajicito is a good place for small to big parties. Food is decent, service is good as the staff does check up on you often.

This place definitely gets a four star for great ambiance, service and desserts! The churrasco and fish meals were phenomenal. The one thing lacking was flavor for their side of beans but other than that this place was a great find in an area is often overlooked.

I took my wife to this place for the First time they do have parking, which is almost next to the restaurant, we walk in and immediately were taken to the table, the menu had a variety of food to pick we order Papa (Steam Potato) huancaina with that yello sauce as an appetizer, then we order a cabrito ( Lamb ) and a Lomo Saltado over all the food was very good presentation was great, We did drink morra which was was good but very pricey place just like our food, our waiters where very good and professional we did get plenty of food and we did take some to go, all over bill came out to $80+ ad a $14 tip🤔🤑🤫😱😱, so if you want to impress anyone that you want take them there but ready to $$$.

I was disappointed ,I have been there on many occasions, but finally returned after probably more then a year expecting the same quality of food, some of the food was good, but the pollo a la brasa, and the tallarin saltado con carne weren't only overcooked but locked seasoning, I did tell my waiter and he (Eduardo) was a gentleman and took care of my situation, it is because of the service and the hope that they had a bad day that I will return and hopefully will replace this review with a more positive one. After all anyone can have a bad day.

Food was ok very crowded. We were pushed to get up and leave. One of the waitress I could hear her talking loud or pretending she didn't know we couldn't hear her saying. There are people waiting for our table. She was rude doing that. Be aware about tip charges when the waiter brings the bill they don't comunícate that to you. Don't tip more than your already been charged with tips included it.

The drinks were good, the lomo saltado was on point. I didn't like the ceviche it was either not made with fresh lemon or it was old. I did like the attention, and aji verde was pretty good. Also prices are affordable except that they charge a fee for paying with debit card.

Nice, quaint establishment with a small parking lot in the back. It was okay. Food was on the pricier end for the quality. Plantains were good. Portions were decent. However, lots of fruit flies in the establishment made it distracting.

Review update: used to be my go-to place for Peruvian but hasn't been up to my standards lately. Went this past weekend and my husband had a piece of metal string (from dishwasher brillo) in his soup. The waitress tried to tell us that it was the string used to tie the chicken, but we both have food-handling experience and know what that piece of metal was from. The fact that it was denied to be brillo made us both feel like this place was losing their touch. Will be in search of a new Peruvian place for sure. (If I don't find another, la candela in Hicksville is the place to go!) Love this place! Always perfect food every single time! Service is great and every experience is to notch! 100000 times better than La Candella II!

Awful experience! I made a reservation at 8:15. They didn’t honor it. They kept us waiting in the middle of the restaurant and were trying to find a table. We left as it was very unprofessional.

During the pandemic many businesses start to charge to costumers for use of credit cards and I'm not agree with that , because as customers of credit cards we paid the % that they offer us and business take credit cards to bring more customers , no they want us to pay that credit card charged them for use... So the customers of credit cards are now paying about 30% per transaction. Also the businesses they must let you know about that and Ajicito doesn't.

The experience not good 😐 😕 😪 we was in the restaurant the guy giving clorox for water with drink that .we was the must bad 👎 😔 experience with my my family 👪 and the no said nothing you leaving the restaurant with storage pains 😢 for the bad service you thinking change the water 💧 for clorox not good .if do you this Restaurant please be carefully we not come this place too bad

Food is not good like it use to. Had not been there over a year and a half ago and the food doesn't taste as good. I order a Lomo saltado, and the steak was hard and had no flavor and not only did the lady Brenda at pick up had a rude tone but she also charged me $1.00 for a Aji sauce that wasn’t even half way full, and which I honestly don’t care but don’t be rude about it either.
