Tip: The biggest baked potato with chopped beef feeds 2 with leftovers. Consider ordering the peach cobbler; an 8" pan feeds at least 4.

Come on by and get your fill breakfast, lunch dinner this place has you covered been in business for i believe 50 plus years and no wonder why the food is great 😃
First time a couple of days ago on this place and I had to be back before I went back to ARKANSAS. The food was very tasty and serve was very good. Will recommend to anybody.
I stopped by Brown Sugar’s Bar-B-Que, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, the smell of slow-smoked hickory barbecue had my mouth watering. I tried the brisket and homemade sausage , and they were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. The homemade sides tasted just like something straight from grandma’s kitchen, and that secret-recipe BBQ sauce? Pure perfection. But the real star? The peach cobbler—warm, sweet, and absolutely worth every bite. If you love real, homemade barbecue, you *have* to check this place out. I’m already planning my next visit!
Came here with my husband to grab some lunch our first time here the lady in the front was very polite and help answer any questions we had I got the brisket sandwich it was very delicious. I loved the potato salad and rice and beans the peach cobbler was okay but still over all my experience here was great I would definitely come back.
This place reminds me a lot of Viteks in Waco. The atmosphere is not the same but they serve loaded baked potatoes that are amazing. The atmosphere of brown Sugar's is hole in the wall. The food is really good and served quickly. The older couple that runs it really tops off the hole in the wall feel you get coming in, out of the parking lot. The food is good and it is classic Texas BBQ.
I had the baked potato all the way but with no additional meat on it. It was really big & creamy. I really enjoyed the potato. I also had the chopped beef sandwich but unfortunately it was so full of fat. I had a little of both sauces which neither appealed to my taste. I actually ended up tossing my sandwich & I don't like to throw food away but I got tired of spitting out fat. I wish I had tried the jalapeno sausage because it looked good in the photos.
This is a decent little hole in the wall. It's on the end of a strip with a nice big shared parking lot. Plenty of seating inside. It's counter service. All of the staff were very friendly. The food was okay, but everything had a sweet taste to it. I got the spicy BBQ sauce and it was pretty mild.
This is my first time here. It wasnt really pack at the time I came but I decided to try thier Super Spud bake potatoe. Its really big and the guy packed it up with chopped beef. They ask me if I wanted sweet or spicey bbq sauce. I choose spicey because I like spicey on my food. Place looks vintage and its calm. I would come here agai to try other food items on the menue. #TrueRating Please Like and Share
I’m aware Covid and now inflation changed a lot for everyone and I’ve taken that into consideration. Not smelling smoke let me know what I was getting into when I parked. But still, I trudged on. The lighting is dark, the restaurant smells like my grandmother’s house, which was very confusing to me, however, the staff was wonderful. Had a three meat plate. The sausage was dry and reminded me of the ones you’d get in a bag at the corner store. The brisket was cold, and the ribs were a few days old. For the $15 I spent, it’ll do, I just wouldn’t go out of my way.
This is a subpar meal. I ordered a two piece meat combo brisket and ribs with spicy barbecue sauce. My two sides being macaroni cheese and yams. Starting with the sides the macaroni and cheese was bland, no flavor running and had a off clear color to it. The yams were unseasoned basic mushy and also no flavor. I figured since the sides were bad maybe they focus more attention on the meat however I again was met with disappointment. For starters the brisket was extremely firm and chewy, resembles processed dog food. The barbecue sauce had absolutely no spice. Granted I am not a big spicy eater however I figured I would give more of what this place had to offer. Trash the sauce is was and will always be if they don't change it. As far as the ribs they were also hard and chewy. The ribs were definitely not cooked the same day I ordered them. I could not finish the entire meal. To make matters worse I found plastic bits in the ribs as shown in the picture. The food was literally hot trash. I would not even take this meal home to a dog to eat. This company does not live up to the brown sugar barbecue name, the name sounds like authentic genuine food BBQ food but it's cafeteria barbecue at best. The customer service is decent I found the clerk at the register to be accommodating and friendly. This is a one star review however the customer service gives it the additional star.
Beef ribs were tough. Food had funny taste. Worst BBQ I’ve ever had
The lady at the register didn't say a word. Place was dead. The least she could do was greet us. Food was days old. We will never be back. I'm sure the guy that plated the food wouldn't eat the food he expects paying customers to eat! Just nasty!
Stopped in as an OTR Truck Driver to try some of their Bar BQ. Had to request the guy preparing the food to put on gloves! The guy was using his bare hands handling everyone's food, from chicken to pork, to brisket while also touching every other object in the kitchen bare handed. This may not be an issue to most but others are very hygienic and careful about who and how their foor is prepared. Even the lady at the register became sarcastic when I ask could someone else remake my order. Makes one wonder what else are they being unsanitary with. Won't be going back.
Ok I had a rib plate and a turkey sandwich. The ribs were absolutely horrible no seasoning and you can tell they have been boiled. I went off a review I seen on here and got sweet potatoes and baked beans for my side. I can now tell that these reviews are fake, because the sweet potatoes were horrible no sweet and just tasted funny. The baked beans were equally horrible. They just tasted bland no flavor, and tasted horrible. I thought I would be able to kill the taste by pouring their bbq sauce over it and the dang bbq sauce dont even taste like bbq sauce. It tasted horrible. My turkey sandwich had no bbq flavor to it at all. It tasted like turkey they sliced off some deli meat and had no seasoning or flavor to it. I am very disappointed because I spent 30$ on this and no one has money to waste in these times. I absolutely will never come back and I see why there's no business hardly there. I want to make it aware that I am an absolutely real review. I pass by there everyday going home and I always thought about stopping and never did just based off no one hardly ever there when I pass by I should've listened to my first mind. They need a lot of work on their food. What yall should do is fire the cooks because they obviously dont care and get new ambitious cooks that will smoke some meat with seasoning and work on them damn sides.
When i get a plate full of nothing but FAT(gross) and literally NO MEAT on the brisket, it's completely UN EDIBLE for that amount of money and I'm mad about it. Wasted money. A hair in the green beans. The sweet sauce is not good. In a "real" restaurant, there are standards to which and how the cuts of meat are served. There is zero standard here. Learn what you are doing and how to serve plates properly because this just isn't it. Would NOT recommend this place.
