I enjoyed my fish hoagie. It is the best I have ever eaten. I picked up the phone to let them know just that compliment. “Oh my goodness my fish hoagie was so delicious!!! Let the guy know it was perfect!!”

Idk why the ratings are so low. I decided to try Jamillahs on Ubereats and lo have no regrets at all! I got a baked chicken platter with Mac n greens, while I only added hot sauce to my greens, everything else was PERFECT 🤤 the chicken falling of the bone, the Mac nice and creamy and flavorful and that cornbread BOYYYY that cone bread! Lol if you thinking about giving them a try, DO IT

You know your food was good when you decide to make a review!! I have to give thanks to whoever hands made my Fish Hoagie!! Best fish hoagie I had in life hands down.. fish was cooked just right, bread was fresh and the flavor was there without being too seasoned!! Make sure u try it with the special sauce.. thank me later lol 10/10 for the fish hoagie

Having just opened about a month ago [alongside an infamous visit for the one & only J.L. Jupiter (a Foodie YouTuber‼️)], Jamillah’s Garden Soul Food & BBQ 🍗🍖had peaked my interest and anticipation ever since a client of mine showed me the J.L. Jupiter YouTube video that popularized a resurrected Philly staple [originally know as Balil’s Garden, according to my client]. Beforehand, my client attempted to call ahead to put in an order. However, they couldn’t even get ANYONE on the phone📵Hence, I decided to go over in person to access the atmosphere. 🤔 Once I got over there, after finding parking on 68th, I was floored at how CROWDED the place was!!!! 😳😲😦 I mean, once I placed my order, I had to wait for 1 1/2 HOURS 😴🥱😮‍💨before finally receiving what I initially requested, which was the: - Fish Fried Rice Platter w/ Collard Greens & Candied Sweet Potatoes ($30)🐟🥬🍠 - Rib Platter [1/2 Slab of Ribs] w/ Mac & Cheese & Potato Salad ($25-28)🍖🧀 🥔🥗 - Chicken Wings ($12) 🍗 - Bread Pudding ($5) 🥮 After all that waiting, holding the door for people, letting people know to order up front as other people lingering inside already HAVE ordered, side chatter with other customers, I finally made my way back to my client with nearly $80 worth of food in my hands. 😵‍💫 Once I finally settled in with a platter of a little bit of everything, I couldn’t wait to dig in.😋As soon as I finished everything on my plate, not only did I wish I ordered more, but I also thought that all that effort was worth it!!!! 🤤😋🥰 In other words, I am definitely vouching for all that J.L. Jupiter proclaimed about the food he & I ordered. From the tenderness of the Rib to the cake-like texture of the cornbread, I was thoroughly impressed 😃 and wide-eyed 😳🙄as I traversed from each side and main dishes. 😍 My only concern is the wait time for the food in general. ⏳I could DEFINITELY wait for an hour for THIS food, However, in a world where I find myself consistently on the move based on my erratic schedule, I’d prefer to have my food as soon as humanly possible. Then again, you’ve got to respect the LOVE 💗 that these wonderfully artistic chefs put into this SOUL Food ☮️ as I can’t remember the last time I fascinated myself with what I had eaten in front of me. What these seasoned vets need are MORE HANDS ON DECK, ESPECIALLY behind the counter. Not to mention they’re also looking for a driver to do deliveries. So, if ANYONE out there is looking to serve as a person dedicated to the art of either serving, delivering, or crafting delicious food, PLEASE do not hesitate to provide your assistance to these FINE Folks as they establish themselves once more into our Philadelphia Community!!!! 😉🤩

I've been searching high and low for salmon fried rice ever since Jordan Johnson retired. Sad to say it's been under my 👃🏾 all this time. The food was so fresh and delightful, my compliments go to the chef. 🫡 It's a bit of a wait but for fresh and great taste. Time is nothing!

I got the fish platter, with Mac and cheese and yams. The fried fish and baked mac are both very good, fish is well-seasoned, Mac is cheesy. Yams are far too sweet, and have chunks of pineapple, and they’re cubed. I do prefer my yams mashed. Also, I had the collard greens and there is no smoked meat in it (doesn’t have to be) but it also has this sugary/sweet taste that wasn’t very good, and left a weird aftertaste. I added hot sauce and salt and pepper to it, and it tasted better. I give the platter a 8 overall. In my personal opinion, I think the yams and collard greens should be reworked and to feel more like soul food sides and comfort. The fish and Mac are both undeniably good. The potato salad is good as well.

I’ve ordered a shrimp platter and a fish platter at different times. While the seafood look good ( nice and brown), neither had any flavor. My son also ordered the fish and stated the same. The sides were tasty.

The worst Mac and yams I've ever had. No flavor no sugar on the yams and no cheese on the Mac. Waste of 18$. The fish was good and the cornbread tasted like cake . Also the special sauce was good.

Mac cheese was good Yams was good but I’m really pissed The Salmon was rubbery like it was frozen I only eat at sit down restaurants because of this particular reason , and I normally ask it is fresh or frozen. I’m a huge fan of fresh food especially fish! I’m so disappointed! But will give another try and order something different….. Every place deserves another chance. Thx for replying! I am sure it was cooked when I ordered My concern and question is was it fresh Salmon? It tasted like box frozen because it was tough like steak! I would give it another try but different protein selection because everything else was delicious!

Only 6 people in line and waited for 50 minutes for a platter. Fish/Smoked Mac & Cheese was ok, but COLD. Pineapples in the yams was odd. Corn bread was wet on the bottom, had to toss it. **Poor customer service from Danni. I really intended to support this small business after seeing a review by JL Jupiter SMH.

It was dark like the grease needed to be changed. The Mac was dry and separated like it was old and no cheese in it. I tried to give them a play since I don't have many soul food places around me, but no I am good. Will not be back.

They forgot my potato salad but I'm glad I didn't get it because it probably wouldn't have taste good either. Was very disappointed because they got so many good reviews. Must have been a very bad day cannot waste my money on bad days. Will not go again. This was at Old York road.
