Today was my first experience on Bafang Dumpling ,The food was delicious ! the workers Johnny and Amy very profesional excellent costumer service u guys deserve more than 5 stars Thank u ! Ofc! Ima going come back !
Came in towards closing, so there was no wait. Dumplings were decent, definitely prefer the spicy wontons! The drink I got is a soy milk with a bunch of different toppings. My favorite thing was the fried chicken with the sweet spicy sauce (not the exact name). Overall price is good as well!
Was very busy during lunch time around 2pm. There’s a big sitting area so spots to sit inside. Spent 47$ for 2 people but for those who eat less will probably be around 30-40$ for 2 people. I got the signature noodles and signature dumplings, which both were amazing. If you like noodles, dumplings , wontons and all that, this is a great spot! Wait wasn’t long for how busy it was and 100% recommend! Similar to a fast food version of Din Tai Fung, but good quality food.
The Pork Chop is authentic and origin, Taiwanese style. Clean and neat interior design with comfortable set up. Perfect place for a quick bite yet delicious and healthy. Uniqueness: 8 Value: 9 Experience: 8
One of the best dumpling houses in Taiwan. Now it opened its door in City of Industry. Back in Taiwan, Bafang is a very popular noodle house where the restaurant always has a long line outside. We bumped into it when we came out from visiting Schabarum Regional Park next door. The restaurant is located outside of the la puente Hills mall on Azusa Blvd. The foods are mostly Taiwanese cuisine and they are amazing. The restaurant offers set menus where you can order a dozen of potstickers with a soup or tea. I love their Kimchi dumpling and potstickers. Delicious kimchi flavor is my favorite. Never had that before for potstickers. Besides potstickers and dumplings, the noodles were fantastic as well. Many people ordered the house beef noodle but I opted for their sesame house special noodle. I liked the texture and the spicy sesame sauce with the noodle, quite unique taste. I highly recommend ordering this noodle and it is only $6. They also sell frozen dumplings at a very reasonable price. We bought 50 dumpling for less than $30. I haven’t had a chance to try out their cold drinks. Judging from the dined-in people, we can see that their lemon tea and soy milk drinks are quite popular.
Finally get to try BaFang dumpling, my friends have been telling me that it is very good. I got the Combo 1 (signature potstickers w/ hot sour soup), Combo 5 (signature dumplings w/ corn soup), Combo 8 (pork chop, old fashioned noodle and lemon black tea), also ordered the Mala noodle and Soy Wild Mango. Their dumplings are awesome, they really taste delicious, a good amount of meat in them and the outer skin is not too thick. The old fashioned noodle is great, however, too much cilantro in it and I forget to tell them not to put it, so I have to pick them all out. The Mala noodle goes well with the pork chop and dumplings. As for the soups, I prefer the hot & sour, the corn soup is good when it is hot, not room temperature. Finally, the Soy Wild Mango, tastes great but is a little too sweet for my taste. Overall, I will definitely go back again.
$10 for the braised pork rice is very good! But please add more braised pork sauce might taste even better. Thank you!
Bafang is a fast food dumpling chain from Taiwan but made with quality. The potstickers were all very crispy though on the smaller end. Soups were all really tasty but honestly one of the best parts was all the side dishes and cold appetizers. Make sure to pick some up to balance out the greasiness. They even have Taiwanese golden kimchi which is very local and delicious. It gets very hectic at lunch time and finding a seat can be a challenge but definitely a great experience.
I randomly saw this joint on insta, you know a random foodie page that tells you how delicious a place is! Since I head to the City of Industry often, I made sure to add this to my must visit restaurant list. It was a random day and my partner wanted to go out to lunch, we were about to pass Asuza off the 60 which I randomly exited and decided on this spot last min. The customer service was great and the young lady that helped us was very patient knowing it was our first time… ordered #1 Dumpling+ Lemon Black tea- Very flavorful, hot and crunchy – make a nice sauce w the options! Noodles + Pork chop – Bafang Signature Noods – nice chewy texture on the noodles, great flavor, pork chop – can taste the Chinese five spice and star anise, hot, crunchy and paired well with the radish Delish!!!

Not so busy and crowded as the general opening. The brand was founded in 1998 in Taiwan and became a world franchising company going through Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan and here in US. The store in Rowland Heights is the very first one in the west US. The famous potstickers, crunchy bottomed dumplingd filled with flavorful and Veggies (cabbage) is popular among Taiwan students and it truly comes out to be tasty. Do remember do with black vinegar sauce. The corn chowder is out of my surprise as it's thick and with both sweet and carne favor from the chopped pork inside. The signature noodles with silicon, sesame and spicy sauce is just ok but the volume make me a little bit disappointed. May try the dumpling next time. I would recommend the classic combo.
Update: No line in a Saturday. Inside still full house. Food still yummy. Combo #3 as good as it can be. Very authentic Taiwanese food stall comfort food. Given that the operation is still quite new, hope the management eventually works out the ordering quere situation. Kimchi pan fry dumplings, spicy fried chicken cutlet are the bomb.
Came on a Friday afternoon and the line was long. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. There’s limited seats too so most people got to go. We got combo 7, 12 signature potstickers and 12 signature dumplings. Our meal was about $30, which was pretty worth. Their signature noodles had great flavors and the spice level was perfect for me. The wontons were good. The potstickers and dumplings didn’t really stand out to me even though it’s their signature dish, but maybe that’s because my food got cold by the time I got home. I would come back for the noodles and wonton soup again because the pricing is pretty worth, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the wait.
Tried it for the first time from a friend's recommendation of the Arcadia location. The dumplings are solid and you get a lot per order I would say. They're a hybrid of Japanese-Chinese style of dumplings and they also have them in bags for the freezer. I liked the signature dumpling and the taiwanese beef noodle soup the best. The chicken corn one was a little odd for me but you would like it if you tend to like sweet/salty flavors. They have a little sauce station toward the entrance. The green tea however tasted like wintermelon tea which is good but not what i was expecting. It's a good place for a quick bite.
Update: tried the regular dumplings with kimchi flavor. A little disappointed with quite a few fillings are outside of skin... I wonder if this is machine made. Strongly recommend the pan fried dumplings 8n store. Original post Don't know why it was not showing on my Google map until I submit a suggestion. Great service and food that'll rock your impression with Chinese food. Strongly recommend the pan fried dumplings & the garlic sauce. :) The first time I came was on the mothers day and the server was so nice and offered a carnation right after I asked for a couple of hot water. I was so surprised they offered hot water and the sensitivity of Asian+age culture LOL. They now offer great combo deal and many side dishes. Really bring me back to Taiwan & reminded me of the night market place. Wonderful home feeling! Please come try! Heehee :D If there's any down side, I'd say please come up with a veggie dumpling soon!
Most of their menu is very flavorful. Our favorites are the kimchi pot stickers, signature dumplings, pork chop, and beef noodle soup. We weren't fans of the kimchi dumpling, hot & sour soup, or creamy chicken soup. I removed one star because everything is SO oily. I wish they offered some simple vegetable dishes to balance out the meal. Enjoy the sauce bar - it's fun to mix and match to find your perfect flavor!
This is fast food style restaurant. Customer need to pick the order up and clear the table after it is done. Food tastes not bad, I like the signature dumplings. The strange thing is the vinegar, it is kind of sweet, not a fan of this flavor, not like regular vinegar. One table feet is damaged, need to repair.
Signature pot stickers and dumplings 5/5!! Juicy delicious 🤤 the wrap and filling all superb Mini wonton is also yummy, could use some veggie inside the filling though 3/5 Corn chowder full of msg taste so 0/5 Soy red bean taro drink pretty tasty, on the sweeter side 4/5 Friendly staff Recommend to place order ahead of time on their website so that you won’t have to wait 15-20 mins as each order is made fresh!
This restaurant is a fast-food style Taiwanese spot where you order at the cashier and pick up your food when your number is called. There are plenty of seats inside. We tried Combo #1, which includes #12 pot stickers and a bowl of sour and spicy soup. The soup was unexpectedly delicious, loaded with ingredients and full of flavor. The pot stickers were served warm (not hot), but the wrappers could have been crispier. The beef noodle was good too. Overall, it's a decent fast-food restaurant.
They have a decent variety of pot stickers and noodles. Maybe less authentic than a full fledged dumpling restaurant, but it still hit the spot. I had the combo number three, which has six signature dumplings and six signature potstickers and a big bowl of corn chowder for $14.95. It was definitely a decent size portion. My daughter had the bowl of beef dry noodles for $14.50. She enjoyed it. The corn chowder leaves room for improvement. I didn’t know it had egg in it and it was a bit watery.
Ordered the #1 combo, #8 combo, and an oolong boba milk tea with half sweetness. The Oolong boba milk tea was decent for a non tea shop and went well with the meal. The #1 combo had a good sweet and sour soup as well as a set of dumplings. These dumplings tasted great with the build-your-own sauce that you can create at a separate station. The #8 combo includes a tea drink already and has old fashioned noodles and a crispy fried pork chop. The old fashioned noodles had a nice soy sauce base with some light greens. The crispy fried pork chop was served sliced with some pickled veggies. These pork chops were thin but very juicy and tender. Service here was very fast from ordering at the counter to getting our digital buzzer to alert us our food was ready. The interior has a lot of dumpling inspirational text about their background and such. The location is in a somewhat busy mall area with plenty of parking and shares retail space with a few other trendy meal options.
I have been eating in Bafang all the time when staying in Taiwan. Finally I was able to try it in SoCal today. The potstickers and noodle are good. Also ordered the side dish which has a combination of bean curd, cucumbers and beef. Overall, they taste good. It’s close to the hometown’s flavor.
The dumplings here are pretty damn good, the wonton soup is also tasty. The reason for four stars is that the noodles are bunk. No flavor at all. The pork cutlet was pretty sub par as well. They also sell big bags of frozen dumplings that you can take home to make. I tried the fried and steamed dumplings and everything has been tasty so far.
Takes discover and visa/master cards (can't remember if they takes Amex.) Love that! Overall, recommend dine in or take out, and not the frozen items. & Please take my review with a grind of salt, because I can't tolerant spicy food at the moment. Reduce a star for reduced quality frozen dumplings, but will continue to dine in and take out until that changes too... (Fingers crossed!) Tried all the dumplings and pot stickers options so far and this is my rating: signature pot stickers > kimchi pot stickers > signature dumplings > corn dumplings > kimchi dumplings > corn potsticker. Tried a few times and the corn potsticker's skin is always a bit too hard, so my guess is whatever ingredients makes the yellowish skin makes tastes less enjoyable. The spiciness of the kimchi varies from May to August, but it could be me (down to 0 tolerance for spicy food in the past few months). I could be wrong but the ingredients in the signature and corn dumplings are very different (much better) than the frozen ones. Quite a few soft joints in the frozen dumplings (tried all three!) suggests less quality meat :(, plus less cabbages & lose fillings with the frozen signature dumplings so I can recommend none. The sauce bar is always clean and strongly recommend —all tuned down probably to accommodate non-Taiwaness customers but one can tell it is very authentic Taiwanese flavor! :) Just LOVE the black vinaigrette and the garlic sauce—bring me right to Taiwan with that flavor! <3 Only dine in twice because the always-open front door is very irritating during the hot summer season. If the owner or manager is seeing this, please consider close the door as often as possible—since servers are out to clean the sauce bar so frequently. It not only reduces the dining experience but also a waste of energy too. I don't think I'll enjoy ithe opening door in the cooler season either, because second-hand smokes can come in too. Not too mentioned flys is not a good sign for restaurants (unless you want to experience the"night market" atmosphere LOL) Side dishes—My favors are seaweed (thick-cut kind), some tofu items (干絲 腐竹 滷炸豆腐 >> too long/hard to translate; go check out the pictures). Haven't tried the slices beef because I'd prefer a veggies (not tofu) choice with that. Oh, BTW they serve multiple items purposely. May I suggest boiled celery sticks or dark green veggies? Or even spring mix? Soup: haven't tried the wonton soup yet;( too hot lately). The corn soup is the traditional night market corn soup :) the sour and spicy soup is fine. Music is great while waiting, bit way too loud when ordering and dining. This is tough. :T Last but not least, warning for the plain (white, not spicy) pickled cabbages —it is NOT the traditional Taiwanese pickled cabbages, but the Cantonese kind which is quite sweet. I wouldn't dare to try the spicy one because of it. :( Very good service! I sincerely hope the current quality will last for a least a couple of years...haha this is an inside joke for you-know-who *wink*
Taiwanese dumpling chain with fried chicken, noodles, and more. Came here for lunch with my parents on a Sunday around 12:30 and the place was bustling, but the line to order moved fairly quickly. Takeout is available. Indoor dining available (no outdoor tables). They have drinks including a matcha latte available. Credit cards accepted. The sauce station is available in the back right next to the water dispenser. The fried potstickers were good as were the steamed dumplings. However, I preferred the bafang noodles simply for the texture as well as the crispy chicken for the taste. The prices were all very reasonable and an order of 4 things were enough food for the three of us.

haven't been here for a while now. for once this place isn't so crowded. this place had been around for a few years now and it has always been packed. food is still good but changed a little. there is a new dish but i didn't get to try it, but I'll definition would return to try it. they did added a fountain drink machine and removed tea options probably due to lack of sales on their tea. their tea was good just not fancy like other Boba shops nearby and kids just like soda more. i would still eat here because it is just simple menu.

Bafang Dumpling food was tasty and fresh (note: however the pork in the dumpling was not fresh. It was spoiled the last time we were there) this time. That's a great improvement, thank you. The waiting staff who took our itders wsre very patient, courteous. The prices were high in respect to other similar restaurants that served dumplings. Over all, this restaurant deserves a 2nd chance.
Decent higher end fast food chain. For this location, potsticker is a must! And probably anything noodles. We didn't get dumplings here as I don't remember caring too much from a different location. But for potsticker, I'll request it to be fried longer next time. Bafang is a chain. I feel it's like a Din Tai Fung (chain, cleaner sterile or commercialized version so it's not awesome, it's just minimal decent). It's probably the lowest or minimum expectations of taiwanese food. The SO says he'll rare this place 6 out of 10 haha The food to sauces just reminds you of almost higher end fast food but Taiwanese style. $17.50 Beef Noodle Soup is huge!!! It's not included in any combo. Broth was okay, a bit water down but at the same time salty with it's soy sauce taste? I can taste the herbs inside but it's definitely overpowered. The meat is okay, not tender but it is edible. $16.50 Pork Chop, Signature Noodle and lemon black tea combo was simple. Pork chop was very underwhelming. It felt like a McDonald patty. Noodles were great! Lemon black tea is not customizelable; you can't change the sweetness in it. It's more zesty and less sweet than hong kong cafe types in Monterey Park. Also, a different review said they got boba milk tea but the staff told us only lemon black tea.....guess there's inconsistency in info? $6.50 6pc Potstickers filling was delicious, and I loved the skin but the bottom fried side needed to be fried more. If it was fried longer for a crisp, it would be perfect!! I love the thin skin. Different from northern style or canto thicker skin. Random but the restrooms are a bit weird with their lock. Anyone with hand arthritis issues will have a difficult time with it. There's no towels but air blow dryer. I noticed lots of toilet seat covers in the trash can. The staff cleaning the table was pretty rude in directing us to the trash area.
The food was absolutely delicious—just like the taste of home—and well worth the trip. However, the front desk staff’s attitude was quite poor, and I strongly recommend improving the service.
With a fairly simple and limited menu, you would think this very famous franchise would really hit it big. But honestly I didn’t quite find anything to be exceptional. I love dumplings and maybe I’ve gotten used to the elevated fare we have out here in LA. I was expecting something more flavorful and out of all the dumplings I found the sesame noodles to be the most tasty. I was expecting something better having driven out here from the city. Still they seem to be consistent and having a consistent well priced dumplings at your disposal isn’t something to be discounted if you live near there. And I would definitely drop by again if I’m on my way back from the valley.
Went 1 hour before closing. We ordered and food came out within 15 minutes. There were people still coming in but not too busy. Combo 5 - The kimchi and pork dumpling - you can feel the spice but I think it was just okay. Combo 1- Signature potstickers - super crispy on the outside which I love but the filling was also just okay. Corn soup - needs more corn and less other fillings and to be thicker. It was super watery. Sauces- they have 2 spices. One spicy and one not. They have water at that station too! The interior is clean and very spacious.
Opened for a long time but still had to wait 15min for 2 items. Even if wait isn’t a factor, I find the dumplings to be a bit blend, definitely need additional sauce to dip. The corn chowder has good flavor but it made me very thirsty afterward. I enjoyed it more by dunking the dumplings into the soup. I’ll edit when I try other dishes next time

Update: I can no longer recommend this place. Their price has risen so much it is getting ridiculous. $10 for a dozen dumplings and $17 for a beef noodle where as the beefs are now smaller and in lesser quantity. ************************************************** A famous chain store specialized in dumpling. I didn't find myself waited in line for long and delightfully found their pricing is very reasonable. Basically, you line up to purchase your meal and they will page you when it is ready for pickup, much like a semi-fast food style chain. The must try dishes are beef noodle soup and the dumpling. Please ignore all the 1 star reviews. Almost all of them are complains of long wait and missing item which is quite common as well as forgivable during a new store's grand opening.
I normally expect fast service from this location, but today I waited over 30 minutes for my food. When I finally asked for a refund, Brittany ,the cashier, was rude and offered no apology at all. This ruined my lunch break and showed complete disregard for customers. This location needs serious improvement in both service speed and customer care !!
Ordered an Wonton shop for dine in and no cilantro but the guy put it to go and didn’t put any vegi even green onion and I asked him why nothing there he said the soup only put cilantro. Lied deserved one star.
