They've recently closed alot of locations, but they did keep some amazing servers! Edgar (18+ yes at OTB) will be my forever lunch server. Big parking area. I was greeted by a warm friendly smile from Cristina! She also waited on us. In a snap she brought all our requests , without hesitations and still smiling. She was sweeping restocking working, while four coworkers mingled at the bar. Kitchen was the area where all meet. I can hear everything they said, even when someone said to another coworker to shut up. Music was average. Food tasty delivered hot, again thanks to Cristina! Great job.

A long time ago I have heard about on the border as someone who enjoys Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine, and have been thinking about coming to OTB for a long time. As I walk in, I was greeted by a very nice lady host who took me to a good seat. However, the waiter, Javier, was not very friendly towards me. He didn’t introduce himself to me and just started off by asking what I needed. I ordered water as I needed sometime to look at the menu. I had question about the menu as I had questions about the menu as I’ve never been here before and debating to get their SW chicken tacos or chicken fajita (my favorite Mexican/tex-mex food); the two times he answered it not very patiently. I eventually got the lunch sized chicken fajita. While it looks small, it actually fills me up. I do want to mention though, their guacamole was not very fresh. I want to keep coming back but I cannot give a 5-star review after experienced with not very friendly waiter, small portioned food and unfresh guacamole that is not appetizing.

Wow. OTB has really changed. I ordered pick up. Food was ready on time, and the girl at the pick up area was very nice. But their nachos recipe has really changed. Ordered grande chicken fajita nachos. It was eatable, but I probably won't return. And when did they change their salsa recipe to the warm dark salsa that you get at another place (C.L.). Disappointed. Chicken had no flavor. The chips a thin now, and the nachos got smaller. Glad I didn't spend any more than I did.

Just had a terrible experience here. Thursday night 2/26 about 7:30. Sat at the bar. Only one bar area table was there. Bartender never acknowledged me. A server from across the restaurant came and asked if I have been helped. She got my soda and chips n salsa. Meanwhile, the I believe manager was discussing a ticket issue and never acknowledged me either. Once I got my soda, I had to flag down the bartender to ask for a straw. He grunted and pointed to the box of straws across the bar counter bar side which I had to stretch far for. I waited for over 12 minutes for the bartender to ask what I would like to eat, nothing. Then the same server came from the other side of the place and asked if she could help me. The only reason I have 1 ster for service is because the server, lady with blackly hair, went out of her way when she clearly saw I was being ignored. I’d like to thank her but at that point I so annoyed that I just wanted to leave. Paid for my soda and tipped the waitress. I love the food here but will not be back due to the terrible service experience from the bartender and manager specifically. I spent almost $40 a couple of hours ago buying 2 Mr. Beast burger combo’s for my child and I. Should’ve left when the cashier said he didn’t have a menu, but my child was intent on this burger. I ordered a Chandler Style burger combo for my child and a Karl’s Deluxe combo for myself. Should’ve checked the stapled bag before I left, but I didn’t. Get home, they gave me fries that were literally ice cold like they came out straight out the refrigerator. My child’s burger looked slapped together and some of the meat looked stale. Oh yeah it was the wrong burger, they gave my child a Beast Style burger. My Karl’s Deluxe came with inverted buns that were not toasted, no grilled onions and stale patty. After a couple of bites I was over it, as it sucked my mouth completely dry. The only think I really enjoyed was the drink. I am livid!

My family and I went in Saturday night and food was terrible, we asked to talk to manager but server said she was in the office. We waited 30-40 minutes for manager and she never came to us. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment if you want hot, good food or good customer service, we should have went to Chili’s next parking lot we will next time

So me and my cousins walk in on 1/17/26 threw the side door for order pick up And nobody acknowledge us when we walk in till we got to the front door we got seated and ask what we wanted to drink few minutes later we get our drinks and my cousin ordered a corona bottle and it took a good long while for her to get her beer . We had to say something to somebody that the waitress forgot it so they can bring her the beer . After the waiter ask if we wanted appetizers we ordered our food so after a while we received our food I got shrimp tacos not bad but my cousin got rice that was still hard and my cousin has raw red meat and did notice it till she bit into the meat she realized it was squishy and red still . I’m talking bad experience all the way around I had to yell to get somebody attention honestly And it wasn’t even busy for all this to be happening and than some guy is gonna come out with his dirty apron out on the floor to start picking up while we are still in the restaurant is just the worst of it all. But the manager did compisate for the food that was red but it ruined our day the vibe was low. I will never come back here again . Especially after all these reviews !! PLEASE READ REVIEWS FIRST!!!

So I just ordered dinner through door dash to the house. Now keep in mind this has been a favorite restaurant for years, but I was extremely disappointed in what we received especially for the price we paid. Our 2 border sampler platters were a lot smaller than before and looked like they were all mushed together, the sopapillas were hard and a ton of sugar thrown on them , the condiments were not separated nicely , I mean I know the restaurant and delivery is different but come on this is ridiculous especially since I paid almost $100 for just three meals. Idk if the inside is the same but I'm not recommending it to be delivered.

We immediately informed the restaurant staff, and while they offered us free food as compensation, we were extremely uncomfortable and chose not to eat anything further. I’m from Oklahoma and used to ask to eat at On The Border every Friday in the 90s. It was always packed with a wait! The past few years, as ownership changed, locations started getting run-down, ghetto and food quality was not the same! As a result, I stopped eating there. I heard Pappas bought them, so I decided to come back and try it. I am ALL FOR changes such as cleaning the restaurants, improving the facilities and switching back to Coca-Cola! That said, I used to LOVE their queso and salsa. The salsa I got was totally different in a bad way! It was served warm and was watery! The best part about OTB was the chunky texture of the salsa that coated the chips. You could taste the freshness & the spice from the peppers and onions! Now it’s totally gone & I don’t eat warm salsa! Please be warned if you go here that the “signature” items that made OTB famous (the chips, queso & salsa) are not the same! I will not be back unless they switch it back - at least have the “original” as an option!
