Avis sur La Granaja Ivrea
Passing by in December, without a reservation, the owner sat us down and we ate a delicious pizza...she was super kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, it's far from our home...but we're planning a trip back.
Very good pizza, especially the vegetarian version! Light and easy to digest. The place is casual and welcoming.
The pizzas are excellent, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. The friendly, courteous staff are a must. A few extra euros are well spent for a richly topped pizza that satisfies the palate and leaves you feeling full. Highly recommended.
Good, easy-to-digest pizza. Not a huge selection, which is a good thing. A simple place, just outside the city center. Service may not be the fastest, as the kitchen has to simultaneously handle takeout orders, but if you're not in a hurry, that's fine!
The staff were welcoming, kind, and very attentive. The pizzas were delicious. I highly recommend the Birra Bianca. For the first time in my life, I ate a cheesecake that didn't linger in my stomach and didn't leave me feeling full. Excellent value for money.
ANA OULD KHOURIBGA. Best pizza in Ivrea, quality service and pizza like I've rarely seen. Very, very good service, an exceptional owner and staff. If you're looking for the best pizzas of your life, you've found the right place. Pizzas are made with all local products; they only source them from nearby farmers. The pizza dough is crispy, airy, and of very good quality. If you're still undecided, go for it; you won't be disappointed. Redouane, thank you again a thousand times for the attention to detail on the bill. You are truly a generous and kind man, it shows. I wish you every success in your professional and personal endeavors.
Wonderful pizzeria. The dough is made of an all natural, easily digestible variety of wheat. The toppings of the pizza are simple but well prepared. Prices are very reasonable and fair. The staff and owner are kind and accommodating. Overall, perhaps the best pizzeria in Ivrea city center.
A nice pizza restaurant on the edge of the very attractive town center of Ivrea. The service is exceptionally friendly, and the pizzas are made entirely with natural ingredients and local dough: delicious! They also offer a good selection of craft beer from the Kauss Birra Agricola brand in Piasco (just below Saluzzo), which is delicious. The restaurant is rather dimly lit, has a beautiful, fairly modern yet warm interior, and draws a good crowd. In short, delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Pizza heaven. The best pizza I've had lately. I love it. We came from Spain and have tried many pizzas in many places. But these were our absolute favorites. I think they're the best. The service was excellent; they spoke Spanish and English fluently and a little French. Great, we'll definitely be back. With such kind and friendly people, you feel right at home.
Very good pizza and super friendly staff! Grazie
We went for pizza, and I'd say it was really good—thin crust, made with good, fresh ingredients. The homemade desserts were also very good. I recommend it for gourmet pizza; perhaps the only downside is it's not located in a place with a great view. But it's worth a return visit for a second helping.
Nice experience. Good pizza and bella donna.
We decided to get some takeout pizzas from this pizzeria because it's the closest to our house. The concept is great: local ingredients, pan-fried pizza. The menu is very limited, making it difficult for a pregnant woman to choose (she ultimately opted for a Margherita with buffalo mozzarella). I opted for a cavolo nero and nduja. Let's start with the shape, which is very different from a traditional pan-fried pizza. The dough is made with high-quality flour, but I found it heavy and hard to digest (perhaps it didn't rise enough). The ingredients paired well, but the mozzarella was flavorless and the nduja was missing. Prices were high.
We looked for a pizzeria to eat a real Italian pizza before leaving Italy. The reviews were excellent and led us to believe we were in for one of the best pizzas. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The dough was good, but the toppings were really too light. I chose an eggplant pizza and there were only a few pieces so small it was difficult to distinguish them. My companion had an anchovy pizza: only 6 on the whole pizza. Too bad, we expected better.
Besides being passionate about food and quality ingredients, I'm a Neapolitan pizza lover, even those versions outside of traditional Neapolitan ones, if made properly, with good ingredients. That said, the takeout pizzas I've tried from "La Granaja" certainly have an interesting dough, but they could be improved by making it a little lighter. The toppings have some flaws. The amount of tomato is excessive, making the whole thing unbalanced, plus it's lacking a bit of extra virgin olive oil, and the quality of the dairy products isn't exactly top-notch. Coupled with the size of the pizza, perhaps the price is a bit excessive. On a more sobering note, I ordered two portions of panelle with the pizzas. The quantity is truly meager, and to make matters worse, they were completely cold and dry. Too bad, I was hoping for better. But there's room for improvement. The promise is there. Let's hope for the best. The photo shows the portion of panelle as it appears freshly opened, completely cold 5 minutes after delivery.
Dinner with friends, the place was nice and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. The pizzas, unfortunately, were a sore point; they were undercooked. I had a hard time digesting them, and so did my companions. It's a shame because the ingredients were excellent; I don't know if the dough hadn't risen enough, it wasn't cooked enough, or it was a mix of both. Since we were still hungry, we ordered desserts. I had the San Sebastian, a Turkish cheesecake I've had the pleasure of eating elsewhere; they serve it with a mango cream, which I normally like. I'm sorry, but I literally didn't like it at first bite; the cream ruined the dessert even more. I had my companions taste the cake and they agreed with me, so it's a shame I had to leave it aside. My friends ordered the other dessert on the menu, a chocolate cake with a raspberry topping. I tried it, and it was better than my dessert; the topping was perhaps a little too tart, but that's a matter of taste. Honestly, after this experience I wouldn't go back.
Ordered a pizza with mozzarella bufala and speck, when it arrived there was one tiny ball of mozzarella maybe 50g sliced and distributed with one small bit on every slice. Basically a piece of pizza bread with some smoked ham they placed on top. When I remarked it looked very poor on cheese the owner came to tell me if it was normal and it I wasn't happy I could leave. Which I did. All those "organic" pizza spots are the same BS. Shame I didn't think of taking a photo for everyone to laugh at. The place works like many others on the fact that tourists who are unhappy will just never come again so they don't care, always new people that will not like it but won't say anything to not bother. And to reply to your comment dear owners, no misunderstanding you were not closed, and I just saw the guy that told me to leave if I wasn't happy on your instagram account videos.
