Delicious food and great service. There are plenty of seats in the restaurant. The food was prepared pretty quickly. There is bar seating as well.

The Palm is our go to spot for a bite to eat when flying out of JFK. Yes the menu is limited compared to a regular Palm steakhouse and while expensive, the food is still good and the atmosphere here is about as good as it gets for an airport restaurant. Not sure why the reviews are so low here, just make sure to keep your expectations in check before you go as this is not a regular Palm experience but still enjoyable.

Sandy & Raj made my stopover at JFK wonderful! Great service & fun conversation. Burger was outstanding! Ask for Sandy or Raj & you won't be disappointed!

Good breakfast, steak and eggs done right. Pleasant efficient service. Good came out quickly and hot and cooked just right. Love when that happens. A nice choice. The food tasted great also. A nice oasis in frenetic JFK airport terminal 4.

Loved the margarita here. Super strong and delicious(coming from a Louisiananian). Jason, the bartender was very kind and attentive. Lucky to have him serve us during our travels. Thanks Jason!!

Special salute to: Jean (Manager) who truly enhanced our dining experience along with his lovely Greeter Anne, who welcomed with a genuine warm smile when we approached the restaurant. An upscale & soothing ambiance for dining & relaxing/recharging between flights. We'll definitely patronize again for the above-mentioned & the scrumptious menu options. The picture shows how eager I was to devour the delicious salad! 😋

Monique A was an incredible waitress. She was very attentive to us and handled all the special requests on our food. Such a great experience with her. It’s so nice to have a waitress that does her job so well and it shows through her personality and service. 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bartender Jason makes the smoothest “Old Fashion” I’ve ever had in my life! The sandwiches are fire and the staff create a great environment to keep you entertained between flights!

Where do we start with Freddy? My bf is a nervous flyer and Freddy was not only attentive, professional, and kind… he was thoughtful. His positive energy created a calming and relaxing ambiance. In the short amount of time that we were there, we enjoyed every minute. Although it was not his shift, we are grateful he was there for us. Thank youuuuuuuuuuu. And see you soon!

Jason was our waiter/bartender today. Can’t say enough positive things about his professionalism and charisma. Stop by and say hello to Jason, have a drink, do some people-watching and enjoy an experience that’s better than the airports private lounges!

Raj was my bartender during a three hour layover. He suggested both my meal and the wine pairing, and although I’m flying first class to Europe, I accepted his suggestions and was so pleased. Very knowledgeable and great people skills.

We wanted something nicer than pizza or a sub and this place met our expectations. We both ordered wede salads, mine with steak. I ordered medium rare, and it came out, medium rare, I had this fear that it would be well done. Our server was good enough but did not do a quality check Take all the reviews with a grain of salt, Buttercup you’re at JFK

I saw less than three stars and was worried but was limited on time so I ran in. Great service very fast and my food was dynamite! Not a huge selection of items but my strip steak was delicious! Super juicy and not over cooked and the asparagus had a nice garlic hint on it. Nice wine selection and honestly it did not take very long to get My food. Pricey but no airport food is what it costs nowadays so I figured I would get something good before the long flight. I didn’t have a bad experience whatsoever so I’m giving 5 stars even though it seems maybe others have? I was pleased though!

Palm is one of my greatest joys whenever I learn Im flying out of Terminal 4. Its always such a special experience just before flying somewhere. Last time I got the salmon which was superb. This time I got the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado. Really tasty! The service was attentive and fast. A fantastic experience as usual. My only request would be for a green salad option- something with kale and spinach so we can nourish up before a flight. That would make everything perfect! 💜 🥑 🍗 🥬

We had a fantastic experience at The Palm! The cocktails, an Old Fashioned and a Margarita, were delicious. Stefano, the bartender, was very professional, friendly, and helpful, making the experience truly enjoyable. My friend and I loved our cocktails so much we immediately ordered more. We shared a pancake and a breakfast sandwich, both very tasty. The atmosphere was welcoming and elegant. We will definitely be back, and I can't wait to return for another great cocktail.

My server Jason was exceptional and the food was almost as good. Fries weren’t crispy and steak salad had a bit of grissle in steak. The entire meal was good but great service from Jason and supporting colleagues. Glad to have stopped here after a lengthy rerouted trip!

Jason the bartender was amazing. I had time to kill before my flight and he was making amazing drinks and was a true gentleman. If ever in terminal 4 pls come to the bar at The Palm. Worth every penny. And sit where Jason is serving!

I had a great experience here. Anastasia was very pleasant and attentive. The Lobster bisque was exquisite. It was expensive. Probably more than needed. I expected it cause it's at the airport though. I'd definitely go back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review for The Palm at JFK Airport – Shoutout to Freddy! I had an amazing experience at The Palm in JFK Airport, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our waiter, Freddy. From start to finish, he was absolutely top-tier! Super friendly, very informative, and he really helped me choose the perfect meal. I told him what I was in the mood for, and he came through with a delicious recommendation. My daughter was happy and satisfied too! My daughter ordered the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies, and she loved every bite. I went with the grilled chicken (well done) topped with bacon and avocado—so good! The flavors were on point, and everything was cooked perfectly‼️‼️ What I appreciated most was his honesty and helpful attitude. He even pointed us in the right direction for the bathrooms—just a small thing, but it shows he cares about making sure guests are taken care of. 10 out of 10—Freddy is the bomb! If you stop by The Palm at JFK, ask for Freddy. You won’t regret it!

Felt obligated to write a review because it’s our first time at JFK and reviews for every restaurant in terminal 4 are HORRENDOUS. Picked this place on a whim.. food was actually pretty good (we got a burger and the steak sandwich). Food came out quick. The host and our server Freddy were super friendly and chatty. Good vibes, friendly staff, decent food. Not much more you can ask for from an airport restaurant.

Food was great, and quick! Our server, Monique, was charming! Professional and personal, and a pleasure to work with. She was the extra something that made this meal such an enjoyable experience! It’s always a pleasure to deal with someone who treats you like a person and treats you kindly and respectfully when you are traveling. Kudos!

Marcello makes everything better in terms of service. Generally quick and charming. Food was good. Caesar salad was pleasant and the chicken was not dry, but my senior parents would’ve preferred smaller croutons and cheese bits. Papardelle was delicious but also not the most suitable for the Asian palate so be warned. Drinks were well mixed. I worry Marcelles secret sauce is not commercially available.

as good as it gets at the airport. Raofou and Raj were both incredibly attentive and I couldn’t ask for better service. Had the best airport meals I’ve ever had. I will be coming back next time I’m at terminal four for the meatball. All around, really great place between the wonderful servers and food.

Waiting for our flight after a long day of travel on a Saturday. We were greeted by a very friendly host. He made sure we were tucked in a corner so our bags would be out of the way. Freddie was our waiter and he was lightening fast, taking care of many tables with a professionalism and finesse I would expect at a nicer restaurant in NYC - not the airport. We had a simple burger and ceaser salad that came out in 5 min. They were also checking with folks on when their flight left to be sure they were on schedule. Appreciated the excellent customer service.

The Palm Bar & Grill in the Delta Airlines Terminal 4 at JFK is a Great place to grab a bite and a drink before you "Jett Off" on your trip. Had time for a quick breakfast with my spouse before flying home. Excellent service, eggs just how you order them. Coffee was a little bitter but everything else was just how you like it. Has all the cool prints on the walls from years gone by. Definitely worth it if you have the time. Again, terrific service.

I had the salmon with a side of asparagus which was very nice though I left the beans. Be advised it was one of the most expensive items on the menu at almost $50 I don't think it was worth that. Also it was very slow to come out taking almost 40 minutes. Saw burgers on other tables coming out much much quicker.

Had my breakfast here before my flight. The three egg omelet was not bad at all. Service was OK too. It is expensive though but that seems to be normal at airports.

Whenever we fly into JFK, we always eat at The Palm. While the prices are on the higher side, the food is good, and it’s such a comfortable place to relax for a bit between travels. We had the pleasure of being served by Kirk, who was absolutely wonderful, extremely kind, attentive, and so proactive that he often anticipated our needs before we even asked. Even though he was managing several other tables, he checked in with us frequently and made sure we were well taken care of. He was the highlight of our experience.

You should enter this establishment with clear expectations. First, airports are understaffed. Second, you'll be overcharged for your meal. But, most importantly, the staff is working hard to feed you and get you to your flight on time. Please be kind! The food is average, but it's JFK. It is what it is and worth stopping in if you have at least an hour layover.

H
Henry Placencia (Don Republica)

I asked for the drink that they are promoting. Chai Old Fashioned. It looked like the bartender didn't have the knowledge about the drink. Didn't expect lemon inside my drink either. It didn't have any taste or aroma of Chai, which was the whole point of the drink. Apart from that, the bartender greeted me within minutes of sitting down. He was cool and had good customer service. He maybe needs to take the Alcohol training again because he let a minor sit at the bar, and another employee had reminded him. The gentleman next to me had his check in front of him, but I did not, so I wasn't aware how much my bill was until the end.

Truly better than the reviews say. Food is decent, service is decent, atmosphere is good for an airport. It is expensive but it is an airport.

A

Not a bad option considering that you are in an airport. When we arrived we were warned that drinks would take 10 minutes and burgers around 20 minutes to be ready and we decided to give it a go. Food was decent, not the same quality as a regular The Palm restaurant, but it didn't dissapoint. Comfortable place to wait for your flight.

Val was fantastic! Promptly brought us water and menus and drinks and food. She clearly values peoples time and understands airport service. Very friendly and nice. Food was good (we just had a small snack). Bloody Mary was really good.

Actually this was really surprisingly good. Had a Steak Salad which came really quickly and was excellent. Steak was prepared perfectly and salad had real crunch.. Server (Stacy) was lovely. Only docking a star for price $70 for a steak salad is steep even NYC.

Out of the places were you could sit, this one looked the nicest to us. We were a party of two. We had the "Classic Burger" and the "Chicken Burger". Both are good options and I recommend the "Classic Burger". We had the chocolate cake. It was OK but I would not have it again. It is pricey, even for a airport restaurant. The burgers are 30 USD and the slice of chocolate cake was 21 USD (tax and tip on top). The staff was very nice.

Decent quality food if you have enough time to wait. Overpriced for what you get but that’s airport food for you. Service was friendly but a bit slow as they seemed pretty understaffed for the amount of seated tables. There was a bit of wait to get a table too.

It is the one of full service restaurant that open on terminal 4 at JFK. Menu is not big but enough for aeroport. At that time I didn't wait to sit down. Service was fast. Portions were reasonable sizes. Reduced rating because my chicken Cesar salad had some spoiled salad leafs. No quality control on the kitchen.

M
Matt W

Evening layover at JFK T4 leaving you with not many options when it comes to food. On the entry informed: only burger, steak and fries. Disappointing. Even if restaurant was mostly empty I could not get a table - only bar seat (because wait staff wants to go home). Waited good 10 min for bar person to come around (seems other side of bar was a staff party). Standard burger, nothing to rave or complain about. Just basic stomach stuffer. Meh.

The food was good but it could of been hot, it was warm. The restaurant was slammed pack and short staff, which is now the new norm. Our server was a good server, whom had plenty of patience and very knowledgeable about menu and ingredients. He provided good recommendations for what to order during lunch.

I loved my view of the caricatures from Days gone by. My mom with a bad back. Had the perfect high-backed bench to sit on. Our waitress was awesome. The food was fine... I did enjoy my salad and it filled me nicely. But it was overpriced and not worth What we paid for it, even with the in an airport tax. I got the Gigi salad which had white onions, (why not red onions on a salad?) and iceberg lettuce. For $27, they should have used romaine. My mom got three sides as her meal. The broccoli Rabe was made without any garlic or flavoring so it was pretty bland and chewy. She did not enjoy it. She did like the asparagus. It was probably the best she's ever had. She also enjoyed her beans. I tried them they tasted weird to me...like they had broccoli Rabe on them (her food had not touched when I tried it). We did not partake in the $15 to $20 cocktails. Because of how much we spent on lunch... Her sides were $11 each... We skipped dessert. 🚻🚻 There was no bathroom in the restaurant but my mother says the one in the airport in the A section was awesome. Although the rolls of toilet paper were new and she had a lot of trouble getting them started. Skip the B section bathroom nearest the restroom. She would pee there again. I would choose it over the airplane bathroom but not much else.

I’ve been to the Midtown location and enjoyed it. After a 5hr delay back home after our vacation me and my boyfriend decided to come in. I was excited for him to try, the hostess was extremely disrespectful and basically ask what’s wrong with us and went on a rant about people being crazy today after we asked can we sit by the wall instead of the middle of the dining room with several suitcases. He proceeded to then pull my boyfriend’s charger out the wall even when a server told the host that it was my boyfriends who was dining a few tables over. Our server Dominique while not awful was far from the best and missed basically all the points of service. No refills, No check ins, Had to flag her down to take our order she stood laughing for several minutes instead of opening our table. After we finished eating clearly I had to yell across the dining room to ask for the bill. Maybe she assumed we wouldn’t tip as we’re a younger couple but I always tip at least 20% and still gave her 18%. Burger and Cesar salad great! Sprite great. Lemonade and service not so much all across the board.

Overpriced and poor quality. The staff was very nice, from the hostess to the waiter; a guy with long hair was very welcoming and kind from the start. On the other hand, the food is bad. I had a salad and a can of beer. My partner had a burger and orange juice. The bill before tip was $97. The salad had nothing special; it felt like a salad mix from Trader Joe’s. The steak was nothing different from what I can do at home (I barely cook). It’s one of those places that feel forgotten and expensive. I’d suggest going to another place, or even McDonald’s or some fast food restaurant.

Dropped in here for a snack and drink. Plenty of seating available with table service. The wrong drinks came so had to have them changed, food came and was very underwhelming given the price for a bowl of chips.

$37 burger which was tasteless, not seasoned, and would be more in-line with something you’d get at McDonalds. The water is disgusting. The service was fine and the fries were decent. Everything else was bad.

The Palm is the only sit-down restaurant in Terminal 4, so if one wants, say, a proper breakfast, then one gets exactly 3 choices, of which the All American (2 eggs, 1 breakfast meat, home fries, and only 1 choice of toast) costs $25. One would think that prices like that would warrant decent service and a well-kept restaurant. What we got was a polite-enough waiter who couldn't get 3 orders straight, then said he would bring the right order out but never did, and a hostess who asked me, twice, to lift my feet off the ground to sweep (nothing was broken). The coffee cup size was fit for a double espresso, not drip coffee. It was the smallest cup I've seen this side of the Atlantic. The banquette upholstery has seen better times--we were seated where there was a large stain, perhaps from water damage. The restaurant is really understaffed, and waiters seem to apologize at every table for letting the customers wait to take their orders, and for food arriving late. As for the food, it was charitably mediocre: oily scrambled eggs, bacon was not crispy, and the only kind of toast offered was barely toasted. As for the diminutive cup of coffee, it was borderline unfit for consumption. In retrospect, perhaps a better option, should one have to travel via Terminal 4 at JFK, would be to go to Dunkin, get a cup of coffee, and sit at the gate. If this is the optimum choice at JFK, then one has to admit that JFK is not a world-class airport.

E
Eric Lee

Terribly expensive steaks at $71 considering the quality. Steak was tough even when cooked medium. The ice lemon tea also tasted horrible. Only ate there as I was a captive passenger with a 4 hour layover looking for a decent joint.

S
Samantha Smith

The prices were ridiculous for the basic subpar food. The server was great but they were definitely understaffed. Unfortunately this was the best place to eat in this terminal at this time. Which is not saying much. If you can, go to a different terminal or just eat somewhere else before you go to the airport. Do not recommend.

C
Colin

Tired restaurant. Quality of the food and drink is low, especially for the price. For example, the pancakes taste like the batter you’d get at a Holiday Inn continental breakfast. I got a glass of OJ which was mostly ice and was clearly the cheap stuff from concentrate — cost $5.50… unfortunately there just aren’t great food options in this part of JFK Terminal 4. Avoid Palm if you can.

M
Maria Christie

The waitress was rude and completely forgot about us after bringing us our meal. Never checked in with us or asked if we needed additional drinks. We had to request for the check twice. The food was very basic and not worth the high price. The waitress told they ran out of cream and sugar for my coffee.. The restaurant was at least clean.

Thursday oct16 between 2:30-4:30 pm Don’t get me wrong here the food was phenomenal and I can even say this was the best ribeye steak I had for a long time but that Mexican lady that was my server made my experience awful 1st of all she mix up my order and gave me French fries instead of garlic mash potato and when she brought it finally she didn’t even look at my face she just throw it on the side of the table and turn right back around , during the whole time I was eating she didn’t check on me till I was almost about to be done then she stop by with that fake smile to asked me if I was ok and I said yes please the bill She gave me my bill it was around $90-$91 I gave her a $100 bill and told her to keep the change and right there she became very mad and told me that the tip wasn’t supposed to be that little but whatever that was on that paper and I said what I am giving that’s what I have and she repeated the same thing pointing on the bill the percentage on the paper till I finally said do u want it or not and she said it’s up to you I was like whatever , I started packing my bags and I noticed she didn’t take the $9 I tipped I took my change and left Please someone tell her this is america and Tipping isn’t an obligation it’s courtesy and the client will give just what they want to give based on the service you provided for them Am so disappointed by her behavior in such a 5star restaurant she don’t needs to be working in such establishment

Service was great that is the 2 Stars. Food ? Not what I would expect from The Palm. Ate there many times in LA- Expected the best burger and Chicken sandwich possible… buns cold - raw bacon- sandwich thrown together - over cooked cold huge pile of fries- for $26 bucks a sandwich? Pick it up a bit. Make it at least better than a happy meal down the way.

JFT, Terminal 4 location- My feedback goes to the bartenders service on October 9 - that was very poor service. One bartender put a napkin for me on the counter but didn’t even bother to ask what i would like or put glass of water. He simply vanished. Another bartender was busy making drinks, but showed zero acknowledgment of me. It took about 10-15 minutes when finally he approached me. But this happened after I complained to the host. I tempted to leave. I have been to this place a few times in the past, but never experienced such a poor service.

R
R L

Clearly, these guys don’t care about the Google reviews. I normally sit up at the bar at airports and they’re attentive and understand that you’re likely on a schedule given we’re in an airport! Not here. The bartenders spend more time complaining about stuff than actually serving us. I put my napkin on my plate and my credit card on the bar, which is a pretty good indication I wanna get going. All the bartender could do was yawn and look around while literally standing in front of me I’m a generous tipper but no way are these guys gonna get 22% for very subpar service. Food was average and overpriced, but it is an airport after all. Bartenders name started with an R - referenced in another review.

I should have just eaten at McDonald's. ... I feel like airport food has really been elevated at so many airports but sadly not at JFK. It's more like a shopping mall. A veritable culinary wasteland. I really wanted to sit down and eat a leisurely meal during my recent 2 hour layover, so I chose the Palm, by passing the McDonald'sand as a result had a $30 pepper and onion omelet that not only tasted vaguely metallic, but was stuffed with raw, uncooked chunks of red pepper and onion. Awful. I should have just gone to McDonalds and ordered a breakfast sandwich. Although the little potato things were okay, the coffee at Palm was also pretty bad. Steer clear. It looks like a nice place to eat, but appearances can be deceiving.

For the price, the quality of the food and service is subpar. The pappardelle bolognese was overcooked and flavorless. Parmesan cheese may have helped, but costs extra ($4). A bit more effort to make the food taste better could go a long way.

Shame on us reflecting on an old experience at the Palm Chicago. This experience was no where near it and the airport is limited. Somehow I thought the reputation would hold them up. "Not" what a waste. The lobster bisque was by far the best and it was a 3.

Waitress didn’t like when I requested to be seated on the back( quiet area). She didn’t introduce herself, got my drink and antipasto order and disappear… I also ordered calamari (they were very greasy). While I was eating, there was a BIG roach 🪳 passed by me😩… at that point, I couldn’t eat… I gave her my credit card and didn’t even know how much was a bill( I suspect that she add some tips), because for beer, olives and calamari I paid$62.25(without tips). The Palm restaurant is not the same as in NYC🙄… not coming back, for sure!

TL;DR: 40 dollars for a terrible burger and fries I spent 40 dollars for a cheeseburger and fries. It was a 30 dollar burger plus tax, tip, and an unexplained fee. I get it's an airport but that's ridiculous. Burger bun was dry and had no flavor, fries were cold and soggy, and the burger itself was 'meh' at best. The only reason I'm not giving a one star is because the service and atmosphere was great. Still, I highly recommend you just go to shake shack, there are two in the terminal.

Time to service is slow, the Bolognaise I had taste like it was cooked in tinned tomatoes with no herbs or pepper sauce. The bklognahsd was as similarly lacking in flavor as if it was just heated either any notion of how flavors are crafted. Definitely not worth anything like the $33.00 they charged, and if you want oatmeal sprinkled on it they have the cheek to ask you for a further $7!

I genuinely think I’ve just had my pants pulled down… a system going down apparently means they can’t seat us, so waited 10 mins until we finally got seated. Got served about 10 mins later, two steak sandwiches and two cokes. My rare steak came more like medium. Not only this, but it had to be the lowest quality steak possible, looked as if it’s just been microwaved and very tasteless. The whole sandwich had no taste to it and felt like a chore to eat. Fries were just very cheap quality frozen fries. In the pot of veg it comes with, I had a singular piece of cauliflower in it. If you’re gonna charge $35 for a steak sandwich, at least cook it properly and give it small bit of flavour and bring it out hot and not almost cold. $89 for two sandwiches and two cokes… just go somewhere else, this has put me in a bad mood.

Worst breakfast I have ever had. The eggs were cold and snotty. The “toast” came out as bread. The breakfast sausage and potato’s are the same ones you get at every free hotel breakfast buffet. Don’t get the steak sandwich unless you want to get a wave of nostalgia from when you were a kid in the school cafeteria, eating a tough, unseasoned piece of meat that would serve better as a hockey puck in gym class. I took one bite and actually felt like it wouldn’t be a good idea to eat anymore of the steak sandwich. 🥩

The palm at terminal 4… Awful experience! DON’T COME HERE! Almost 1 hour to get a SIMPLE burger… 1 hour! And lets say was a super delicious one… sadly no…. Just a super basic and simple burger… all tables waiting so much… airport prices, garbage kitchen, regular service. DON’T COME HERE!

I recently dined at the Palm Bar and Restaurant in Terminal 4, and unfortunately, my experience was mediocre. Upon being seated by the host, I waited for about 15 minutes without anyone taking my order. Despite informing both the host and a nearby waiter multiple times, I received no response. A particularly tall African American waiter ignored my polite requests to take my order, which left me feeling like the staff was merely passing time rather than attending to customers. The only exception was a male Latino waiter who was diligently performing his duties. Overall, the service left much to be desired, and I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the dining experience. ---

PATHETIC customer service by this woman who served my table this morning . I was in a rush and I ordered scrambled eggs for me and my baby.. She got me just 2 eggs and kept lying to me that it was 4 eggs. And SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE!! I have attached a pic of the dish I ordered and she kept lying to me about the extra 2 eggs. I would never go here again if I have to be served by this lady. I also told her I want to eat at the restaurant but she packed my food to go. Extremely bad customer service and her behavior was atrocious! The worst employee one can have.

Absolutely abysmal. I wasn’t expecting fine dining at an airport, but Palm Bar & Grill somehow managed to fall short of even the most basic expectations. The service was painfully slow — a 55-minute wait just to get a lukewarm coffee and a server who seemed genuinely annoyed that I dared to ask for a menu. The food? If you can call it that. I ordered what was described as a "classic American breakfast." What I got was rubbery eggs, undercooked bacon, and toast that tasted like cardboard dipped in old fryer grease. The prices are laughable for what you get. \$22 for this culinary insult? No thank you. To top it off, the atmosphere felt like a tired afterthought: sticky tables, indifferent staff, and music that clashed with the soul-sucking ambiance of an airport food court. Unless you're into overpriced disappointment and slow-motion service, avoid this place. You’re better off grabbing a granola bar from Hudson News.

No great. Terrible customer service with no communication and unacceptably long wait times. I waited almost 25–30 minutes and no one ever came to my table, so I walked away. After waiting that long, I realized it wasn’t worth it for overpriced food. I hope management is paying attention to this review, because this restaurant needs serious improvement.

If you come here with two. Leave ASAP. It's 3pm and no one's dining in and 80% of the restaurant is empty. Figure you cannot combine tables if you come in with two poeple. Nevermind you spending money for two, they will not let you take two small tables to combine with one. They will not let you use another table. If you're a working individual, and want to eat while working forget about it. Food looks like crap and service was as well.

Nothing good to say about the food here, $22 for the worse steak sandwich I have ever had. It literally tasted like the whole thing had been reheated briefly in the microwave. To break it down: Steak I asked to be medium rare and it came out medium well. Probably as a result of the microwave reheating. The fries are obviously just shipped in frozen and reheated in the microwave or possibly in the oven but lack texture and flavor. The bread for the sandwich was bland and doughy. It wasn’t even cooked through properly so remained very doughy. After I ordered the meal came 2 minutes after so that tells me it was not put together as the order came in. Just slapped in the microwave and reheated. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere.

Absolutely horrible and disgusting food and service. The only good thing is that they serve you fast, the rest is DISASTER!!! Food is terrible, we ordered burger and fries, and they were bad , salad with shrimps, and everything tasted like not fresh at all and it didn’t look fresh as well. And the worst were fried calamari. Atrocious. But they were good about it and took it out of the bill. Never ever again.

I am not one to write bad reviews but the meal i had here was one of the worst I’ve had. I ordered the truffle gnocchi, and could only eat two bites as it tasted genuinely like feet. Not an ounce of truffle flavor, tasted like the sauce was just mushrooms in a blender with zero seasoning. Without exaggeration probably the worst thing I’ve been served at a restaurant. Since I couldn’t stomach my dinner, my mom shared the burger she had with me, which was dry and flavorless. We found the price also terrible, I don’t mind paying high prices if the food is good, but this was not. Our server was very nice though, but it was a terrible meal before our flights

We should have read some reviews before choosing this place to eat. Eating at this establishment was not a good experience. It took our table an hour to get our food, and my food did not come at all. I had ordered the Second Avenue Burger done medium well (basically fully cooked). As we had to go to our gate to catch a flight, we told the manager that I did not get my food (we had been trying to flag down our waitress but they were no where to be found). We mentioned we did not need it anymore because we had to run to catch a flight but they brought one anyway. When I cut it open, it was basically raw inside… I said I couldn’t eat it and it was not cooked well. Then they brought out another one (after we mentioned again we did not want another one and we just. had. to. leave.) and it was exactly as same as the first one! So much wasted food and very poor service. I would not recommend this place to a friend.

I thought the Palm was a nice place. Opening in an airport is tricky and thats the situation the Palm finds itself in. The wedge salad which is always a hit at a steakhouse was dog food. The steak sandwich was a close 2nd and I probably could have gotten a better one at Arby’s. The fries were decent so that was a plus. Wouldnt recommend or come back. You can get better cheaper food at JFK.

On August 24 at 12:00, the person at the entrance delivered one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. With the place nearly empty, I was not allowed to choose my table, water was served to every table except mine, and I had to wait more than 15 minutes before anyone came. In the end, I was simply told they didn’t serve breakfast—delivered with a hostile attitude and zero professionalism. That person is the perfect example of someone who should never be dealing with customers.

Worst salad I’ve ever had. The hard boiled eggs had brown yolks, the avocados were brown, the lettuce was wilted, the chicken was incredibly dry and burned and the salad had very little flavor. Only thing good about this place was that our server was nice. He brought me a new piece of chicken when he saw I took it off. But even the new piece was just as dry. It’s like they pre make the chicken on Mondays and use it through the week.

Palm Restaurant at JFK Airport - Disappointing Experience Having dined at several Palm locations, I was genuinely surprised by the lackluster experience at the Palm in JFK Airport. From the beginning, the service level was noticeably below the standards I’ve come to expect from the Palm brand. Upon seating, we were not greeted promptly. When our server finally arrived, we ordered a bolognese, only to be informed there would be an additional $4 charge for parmesan cheese—a surprising and off-putting extra for what should be a basic accompaniment. When we raised this and other concerns with Gene, the manager, his response was far from professional. He was rude, explaining defensively that he was “busy” and couldn’t attend to us for 15 minutes after we initially asked to speak with him. This dismissive attitude left a sour impression, not something I’d expect from a Palm restaurant manager. Another notable issue was the lack of maintenance in the restaurant. Four of the TVs at both the dining area and the bar were non-functional, adding to an atmosphere that felt neglected and uninviting. If this were my first time at a Palm restaurant, it would likely be my last. I hope this experience is a one-off anomaly, and that attention is given to bring this location up to the brand’s usual standards.

Worst Customer Service at JFK We had a very disappointing experience at The Palm Bar & Grill at JFK Airport. My mother (78), my husband, and I had just arrived from a long flight from Madrid and were simply looking for a place to sit and have some drinks. We approached the host and told her we only wanted beverages. She sent us to the bar area, which was mostly empty at the time. From the moment we walked in, the host gave us an unfriendly and dismissive look. After we sat down, we placed one of our small bags on an empty stool. The server, Rejaul R, immediately told us to remove it because “the chairs are only for customers,” even though there were more than 20 empty seats all around the bar. His tone was rude and unnecessary. When I ordered sparkling water, he brought the bottle and set it down without a glass, ice, or any courtesy. The same happened when he brought my mother’s water. When I politely asked for glasses, he brought them with a bad attitude. Shortly after serving us, he told us—in a harsh and unwelcoming tone—that if we were “only getting water,” we needed to leave immediately. This was after we had already purchased a Perrier and a large Smartwater, which cost almost $15 — more than some alcoholic drinks. His behavior was extremely disrespectful, especially considering the bar and restaurant were nearly empty. The treatment we received felt discriminatory and completely unprofessional. No customer should be spoken to or treated this way, especially in an international airport. I cannot recommend this place at all. Their service does not reflect the level of hospitality travelers deserve.

It was not a good idea to stop here to grab lunch before my flight. My last meal in the US was disappointing, the service was sloppy (I still tipped), the food was not good, and the price was not worth it. I recommend stopping at one of the fast food counters instead. I ordered a diet coke, and I was served a Pepsi without informing me (I noticed on the receipt). The first glass was dirty with some old mint leaves in it... they swapped by saying that they make mojitos in it without really apologizing. The second time I get the drink, the straw is missing. The burger was bland and really dry, and the avocado was too ripe with brown spots in it. One of the rare times I left food on the table and left. Sorry to say, but this place should be out of business. Note: there is no airport wifi once you sit at the table.

70 dollars for 2 sub standard wines and the barman had the cheek to tell me I needed to pay a 20 percent tip for pouring me the wine with a complete lack of customer service!! Tipping culture has gone crazy!! You want to be service orientated for tips then provide an outstanding service rather than pressing a button on a screen!!!! Disgusting!!

Worst place to be. Not only to eat, but to be. - The waitress was shouting to her colleagues continously, I had to ask 2 and 3 times for my lunch as they seemed they forgot. She threw at my face the check after I tipped her 10%. Should’ve been 0% and the complaint book. This no service/always tip is getting out of hands. They get used to always receive a very high percentage tip without offering at least a good service. $55 for a small beer and a mediocre burguer. This only happens here. Disgusting.

After 14 hours on planes my wife and I wanted a place to relax and eat a good meal. The food and service met our expectations. Then a lady walked in with a dog. As a service dog owner I was appalled at what I saw here. The dog was obviously not a service animal as it led off at the end of the leash and wandered around. Then they were seated the dog wandered around the table and even jumped up on the owners lap and even onto the table top. They should have been escorted out for the health code violations alone. I will not return.

Horrible service. I understand the bartender was busy but I wasn't acknowledged or checked on once. Had to order a mimosa with a server. I ordered the steak and eggs, took one bite, spit it out and asked to send it back. The manager was standing around the restaurant doing absolutely nothing, putting menus on tables and when I asked him I needed the check and the steak & eggs had to be removed, he said the bartender is the only one who could give me the check. He then was standing around the bar and wasn't doing anything. Just a horrible time. Bad service, bad food. Never again.

Very disappointing experience. I travel frequently and was delayed for hours at JFK. I politely asked for a table as a solo traveler, and despite multiple empty tables being clearly visible, I was refused seating with a weak explanation that tables were “for three people only.” When I attempted to clarify calmly and respectfully I was met with attitude, no effort to help, and was effectively dismissed without being offered any alternative solution. This is an airport restaurant serving delayed travelers. Professionalism, flexibility, and basic courtesy should be standard, and unfortunately that was completely lacking here. I eat at airport restaurants often and regularly recommend places to fellow travelers. Based on this experience, I will not be returning, and I will not be recommending this restaurant to others passing through JFK. Management seriously needs to review how guests are treated. This experience was unacceptable and could have been handled far better.
