We were in the area and chose this location to eat at. Even though they're known for the buffet. We didn't have that.. we ordered fish and chicken tenders.. lotus of mini whatnot to look at.. the coconut cake was the best I've ever had. We would definitely go back

Was here on a mid-afternoon weekday. Food on the buffet was fresh, plentiful, with numerous varieties of meats and vegetables. Mashed potatoes, green beans, peas, okra, carrots, cabbage. Several varieties of dessert also. Most excellent!!

7-5-24 (3rd Visit): Seafood buffet was excellent! I ate mostly Snowcrab Legs & Fried Oysters. Our waitress Jo was a doll, spectacular atmosphere! Seafood All-U-Can-Eat Buffet was excellent! Atmosphere wonderful! All staff great!

Fantastic buffet for a very good price! Texas country cooking, & a BIG space to bring groups! The coolest & most extensive salt & pepper shaker collection I've ever seen! And the homemade pies...ahhh! Heavenly

The restaurant was clean, the staff was so courteous and genuinely friendly and the food was delicious! The restaurant has beautiful decorations with rich history and is kept very clean and tidy. The seafood buffet was exceptional. Definitely recommend!

We arrived after 8pm on a Sunday, so weren't expecting much. Almost no customers at that time. Despite closing at 9pm, the buffet was still full and being refreshed right until we left. Our server JoAnn was top-notch, and pretty much everything I had was solid food for the price. Soup (2 kinds), salad bar with lots of options, a number of hot main and side dishes on offer. I had pork chops, catfish, grilled fish, broccoli-cheese rice casserole, candied sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce. Lots of dessert options, too many for 1 meal! Pecan pie, coconut cream pie, bread pudding, and soft serve vanilla ice cream. We even were offered a takeaway for our scraps for our service dog in the truck, and more ice tea to go. All in all? Solid home cooking, cute and clean atmosphere, great, personable service, and real value for money on the Sunday evening buffet. We'll have to give the Fri or Sat seafood buffet a go another visit!

We just left this place full, satisfied and still had green in our wallets. The food is fresh, home cooked and the desserts are amazing! Just Wow! Highly recommend this place.

Saturday night buffet. Everything on the buffet was constantly being refilled. Oysters were cooked perfectly and the snowcrabs were delicious. Waitstaff were friendly and close by to keep check if you needed anything. Clean and welcoming

Score option 4.5. The buffet was pretty good. Highlights were chicken fried pork tenderloin, green beans & mashed potatoes. Other sides ok. Salad bar was good. Desserts were from scratch which is so rare. Not made with canned pudding. We had chocolate & coconut pies and delicious. Tried bread pudding but don't care for raisins.

Restaurant itself is very nice. We had the buffet & both times through the longgggg line, there was no boiled crab by time we got to it. Sad face. Overall, it was "okay." Nothing, other than the seafood enchiladas stood out. We were sat to the left inside & our service seemed sub-par to the rest of the place. We were never offered melted butter, crab crackers, a garbage bowl or refills. I had to go find another server to get the crab crackers. I only knew those things were offered from seeing the room we walked past to get to the side 40. They had the complete set up. We had to ask for the bill when we finally saw our server. She was a bit MIA the whole time. I felt like we were sat in the "We don't care, back 40 area." We had to flag down another server to get it the bill. We might try it again if we were in the area. Hopefully we just had an off experience. We drove from Bridge City.

Food on buffet line was barely warm. I tried the tenderloin but was unable to eat it due to saltiness. (And I do like pork on the saltier side.) I enjoyed the fresh, homemade roll, and the fabulous pies. I believe they also have whole pies for sale. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant clean, well staffed.

Well on 01/03/2026 we visited, I drove from Sorrento Louisiana 4 1/2 hour drive then another hour to Jasper from Milam. Got there at 6.40 was waiting on the snow crabs to come up but time we got thru the line it was out again. Went back up at 7pm to try again and was told no more for the night. But yet stilled charged us the full price of $35 each. Can I just say how outdone we were. The server was awesome, the desserts bar was great, the fried fish was good too. But the main reason was for the crab 🦀 legs.

The food was good and the service was nice until the manager tried to charge us for three extra buffet's. It was eventually settled but not without a nasty attitude from the manager. This was a business luncheon for a large group and one we have done before. However after today we will not be back.

The hostess Harley was rude, would not allow us to sit where we wanted to, then ruined the entire mood for the night with a poor attitude. We pay for a dine in experience and would like it to not be ruined with entitled staff. Been countless times and never had an experience like that with other staff.
