I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the operations director Jim Prentice. I am a Maintenance man and I came to his house to do some jobs at his house, we fellowshipped and he asked me if he could buy me lunch and he handed me a 100.00 tip!!! It was not the money but the time he spent talking to me was the best thing he is very successful man. I have not seen him since so if somebody could please send this to him. Thank you for me getting the pleasure of meeting you Jim. I am a Maintenance man but you took time and talked to me, that is very humble and kind. The BEST leaders keep this in the forefront. Love all of the "snacky foods!" When me and my sister are out and about, we always go to Sonic for Lemon Strawberry drink and one of the yummy snacky foods!!
We went to sonic in Joshua today, our food was great, service great, and they sold us a bag of ice, the one in cleburne wouldn't, also haven't had good luck with food, and at the drive in Window was cool.
The new GM Kyle is fantastic! He is so polite and has a great personality!
Customer service and food is top tier, came here while leaving Arlington a few minutes after close and the young man Monatana decided to take my family’s order anyway, reconnected to the system n made our food which was delicious. I hope Monatana and the staff inside get recognition! Thank you Sonic. :)
I want to give a shout-out to the team at Sonic in Joshua, Texas! I've been to A LOT of Sonic's in different states, and EVERY time I've gone to this one, they always answer promptly, even when there's a ton of people there. I'm always surprised how quickly my order is brought out when they're so busy..not to mention my order has always been correct, fresh, and good! When I crave a burger, my go-to is Sonic, and I ALWAYS order the same thing...a Sonic single, NO cheese, w/mayo, mustard, pickle, and extra lettuce. If I had a $1 for everytime I got my Sonic order over the years, and find cheese on it and no extra lettuce(but charged for it)🥬or an added tomato..I'd be rich! But not at this location! So keep up the good work management, and employees of Joshua Sonic!!👍👍
Everything was ready when we pulled up after placing our lunch order online. Food was brought out immediately and the car hop was super sweet.
The carhop and manager were very patient and kind and helped make sure me and my family had a great experience. Food was normal for a fast food place.
We went at dinner time. The food was hot and the order taker was on point. He (Raul?) couldn't hear me so he came out and took a rather lengthy order by memory and entered it correctly into the system. Boss level. And he was very polite even as I was obnoxiously yelling my order into the speaker...thank you!
I stopped here to get both of my kids food as they requested sonic. I got both of them cheeseburgers with only specific toppings as they're a little picky. I got one of them chili cheese tots and the other regular tots. I ordered one of them a blue raspberry slushie with nerds and the other a grape one with nerds. They both ate every bit of their food and said it was so good and they love their drinks. I opened both cheeseburgers before passing them out to make sure the correct one went to the correct kid. Sonic did cause confusion with that as they put a ketchup sticker on only one of the burgers and they both had ketchup and there wasn't any other stickers on them. But that was easily figured out when I opened them of course. The food also came out pretty fast and the girl who brought it to us was nice and made sure we had what we needed.
I was trying to order lunch through the app and kept getting an error message. I called to see if it was an internet, app, or just me issue and the manager said there were none on their end but she would make good on the reward I was trying to redeem and discount my drinks to the happy hour price. I had to order at the restaurant and ended up ordering combos instead of individual items but manager Tina did keep her word and actually discounted half off my order to make up for the trouble I had . This was so above what I expected and I deeply apprhow kind she was in helping me!!

Their new Pickle burger meal is great. Pickle tots and pickle slushy with sweet pickle boba. Service was fast and friendly. It was worth the drive to go to this one.
Sonic, as usual, has great burgers and drinks. But they also charge too much for those burgers and drinks. But I'm the frugal type. My wife calls me cheap. Hehe
New to the area, 2 weeks ago was craving a old fashion chili cheese and onion burger in a super Sonic. Ordered a super Sonic with mustard chili cheese and onion ONLY. IT was great !!! Went back tonight only 4 customers told the girl the same way. She made me repeat it twice, then the third time she said they have three super sonics and couldn't figure out which one I wanted.. wow I left got me a chili cheese onion beltbuster from DQ. Total management fail in training 2 weeks ago my order was not a problem today no training. I'm sure the girl is to young to know this was on the Sonic menu for years. I guess I should have said the one with bacon but cut the bacon, lettuce, tomato and add chili. Update, I have started going again and it's been great. Just haven't been brave enough to order a chili cheese burger again
Food is good and fresh. Would not order anything with chilli. Fast service except during lunch and dinner rushes where waits might exceed 10 minutes.
Love this location! Every one is super friendly and I always get my order fast. Taking one star because I only get one mint and they a bit stingy with the ketchup. 😁
The drinks were not their normal deliciousness... They tasted watered down 🤔☹️ Normally, the taste of the strawberry fresh fruit slush is sweet and full of strawberries... My drink was watery, clear with a red tinge, and very, very few strawberries... I literally counted 3 small chunks. I also requested Nerds in my drink and I could almost count those also, there were so few. I'll try again if I'm in that area, maybe it was a fluke, I'll check the ratings of others. Everything else was OK. Oh, and the employee who delivered our food was fantastic! (mixed race female with shorts and tattooed thighs)

Mostbof our food was good but my wife's onion rings were way overcooked. They need to teach the fry cook to get the onion rings out of the fryer before they burn!
Cherry lime slush with nerds is what I ordered. Light cherry slush and no nerds is what I got. I had to hit the button again and it seemed like a burden bring some nerds to dump in myself. Oh yeah I was a nice guy with a 2 dollar tip.
Foot long dogs were not heated & chili was not warm. Onion rings were "extremely" overcooked, greasy and almost impossible to chew. I have never had this experience on prior visits
I had an okay experience. Most of my issue had to do with the app to order food. It was confusing a little bit and it took part of my order off before I paid. So when I picked up my food I had to reorder and pay again. My order was only partly right. The food my husband ordered was correct, however mine was only partly right. The actual food and drink were correct but where I asked for a large fry and route 44 drink, I got a medium on both.
We stopped in on the way to the hotel. Not many cars in here just a few. Took decent amount of time for someone to answer the button and take our order. Got two drinks and an ice cream took quite a while for that to come out. Once we got it everything was good just definitely not that fastest sonic for sure.
2 out the three sandwiches I ordered were right, but when I got home my chicken sandwich was a burger, and even though I asked for easy ice on my drink, it was still almost completely full of ice. At least one thing is wrong with my order every time I eat here otherwise my rating would be higher.
Was not impressed with the service. My foot was barely warm, not hot and they made my burger wrong. I paid 70 cents for jalapeños and only got 5 slices on my coney. What a rip off! The female that took my order wasn't friendly and was short with me however the car hop was attentive and read my order to me, that's how I noticed that it was made wrong. All this AND my food was NOT HOT! I live around the corner from this location and had to heat my food in the microwave at home. UNACCEPTABLE.

The staff here don't seem to understand how to read properly or they just don't care at all because the last several times myself or someone else I know has ordered here, something, if not the entire order has been wrong.
Everything is fine except they are dreadfully slow. I sat behind one car in the drive through for 15 minutes. They had like 3-4 customers max.
Food was not very good. The tots were heavy with grease and it tasted like old grease. The breakfast burrito didn't taste like it had cheese. I called & talked to Manager-on-Duty & he apologized and offered meal replaced on next visit & he would talk to the Cook-on-Duty. I was so hungry I ate it but it certainly was not good. I am hesitant to go back.
Stop by to get a 44oz coke zero. I was the only one there and it took 19 minutes to get my drink. After I left I took a drink and it wasn't what I order.
Always come here. They seemed to have hired a lot of new staff. I've always tipped with EVERY order 22% or more. And a few times they mess up but today was just annoying. There was a diesel next to me and they couldn't hear me. Not their fault. Went to a different stall and for some reason the first stall when they were busy they answered right away. Them when I moved a loot if people left and they were slower and it took them 7 minutes to get my order. Then he could remember what I ordered 2 seconds after I ordered. Then when I finish my order he comes out to tell me I can't have something because it's being cleaned since they are closing soon. Well you're not closed yet I was here for a bit before you closed. I guess they are more worried about getting out soon as able rather than fixing there customer what they. This place is known for ice cream. You should always have everything with that until you close. Thinking I might not come back for a bit. My order was $41.64. I only gave $5 for a tip. They only reason I gave that us because there lady who delivered the food I've had before and I know it wasn't her that caused that. But them inside do cause the wait staff tips to disappear. Very disappointed. I can go to Chili's it any restaurant like that, spend there same amount of money, get better food and probably better service. I chose to do Sonic, not theirs. Bad choice on me. I'm sure Sonic doesn't care. I thunk I need to stop coming. At least for awhile until they chance and get used to the staff again.
We ordered two burgers. Both of them was over cooked, not the juicest burgers, but more dry and hard. The bunns was not soft. Like they was sitting out open.
We used to eat here all the time. The last few months though have been very disappointing. A little over a month ago we ordered food even though the time before that our food was incorrect. So when I got home our burgers were cold and wrong again. I know I should have checked them there but over the last 4 or 5 years the service and accuracy had been great 98% of the time and everyone makes a mistake. So I called from this last experience and the manager was very friendly and she gladly offered to take care of it next time which was good because I didn't want to drive back up there. That brings us to yesterday. I arrive at sonic and mention that our burgers had been wrong the last time and that the manager had left a note in "the book" for 2 burgers. I was then told there was no note and that they didn't keep anything past 30 days. A little disappointed with that especially since we are trying to regain lost business. But, I just go with and say that's OK I'll just pay for it again we have things to do today. I then proceed to order our food just over $20 for the 2 of us. Get home open up our food and now not only is the order wrong but it seems they made an extra effort to add things that don't even come on their burgers. Omitting chz on my wife's burger adding ketchup to both burgers and mustard along with mayo to one of them. Perhaps I'm unclear on what is supposed to come on them but I'm pretty sure it's not every sauce. I'm sure that we will give it one more chance in hopes that they will return to the Sonic that did such a great job for many years. Sincerely, Wishful thinking
Went for Wacky Pack Wednesday for the grands. Didn't receive the discount. When I questioned the $15+ dollar charge vs the $8 dollar charge it was just shrugged off with "I don't know why they've been doing that all day. Maybe it's because the managers are here." I pointed out the sign right in front of us with the Wack Pack Wednesday price. Finally got it sorted out but spent 20+ minutes there.
Ordered a hot fudge sundae. Received a cup of ice cream. No hot fudge. Johnson County and Joshua in particular, seemingly have a lack of intelligent people.
Went from a great place to a place to avoid all together. There food went down hill fast. Smh.
Showed up at 9:45 PM honestly thought they closed at 11pm but we were trying to figure out what we wanted to order then when we tried to order they told us they were closed and it wasnt even 10pm yet. So fas taco for the win I guess
I was very disappointed today. It's Father's day and all I wanted was a master blast and I couldn't even get it. Then Steven keep calling me a ma'am. I corrected him 2 times and he keep doing it.
The Hamburger meat at all the sonics just taste weird now. Like they are using fake mystery meat. 🤢
Terrible service all the way around. Burgers are terrible. The bun is so hard it's hard to eat it. Would much rather make the drive to Burleson if I ever crave Sonic again 🙁
Take their time playing outside talking instead of getting customers orders
Order a grilled chicken wrap told them no ranch and tomatoes. Called back and asked if I could get some honey mustard for my wrap. Got out to the truck no honey mustard. Called back and asked again they told me $0.25. Wow Value your customers willing to loose a customer over $0.25.
All we needed was a Route 44 unsweetened tea and a small rootbeer. 2 servers @ 3:55 pm and it took forever. Apparently they can only deliver 1 drink at a time. Too busy talking to the table while holding the order for 2 cars down. Bet their burgers were cold and their ice melted. Sonic in Joshua for me? No More! Only rated as 1 because 0 does not exist.
My family and I stopped in there on our way home and 2 of the 5 are so sick to our stomachs its unreal. We love sonic here in Cleburne and never been sick like this. We ate and about 20 minutes later we were ill. We are not sure if the grease was bad or the food was not cooked properly. The staff was unfriendly from the get go and it took forever to get our food. I am not usually one to post about a bad experiences with a company but I feel as though they need to be aware that if they are not doing something right that they need to correct the problem. Especially if it is making people sick. The 2 that got sick both ate popcorn chicken. I would hope that they make chages so that no one else gets sick like this. I think we will stick to the sonic here in cleburne.
If I could give negative stars I would. This is the worst Sonic I have been to. On Saturday waited 15 minutes before they answered the board and there was only one other car in the drive thru. Pulled in tonight while light were o. To get drinks and they turned light off and refused to wait on us.
Ordered a BLT and ended up with a bacon cheeseburger dripping in grease with wilted lettuce soggy bread. Not a BLT people. Horrible food over priced and dirty screens to order from as well.
Told online app worked, made an order....nope its wrong. The young adult taking the order on the mic is extremely rude. Order incorrect after it was ordered in person. Just bad service. So glad other places are moving into Joshua. You want more pay, earn it.
This location is great on weekday mornings but any other time it is AWFUL.... the Sonic app is a joke and needs lots of work. It doesn't work 9 out of 10 times. It is frustrating to put in a large order and then get "unexpected error" messages continually. The manager on the weekends is also very slow to respond and un helpful. I would say drive to Burleson if you really want Sonic or go somewhere else. Not worth the hassle.
I ordered cheese sticks.. and they were cold.. why does this company never serve good hot food.. the one in Keene is abominable.. come on Sonic.. fix johnson county sonics.. they are terrible

Woman there ran off with my change and never brought it back then when I called and asked she hung up on me. I’ve worked as a waitress it’s not rocket science that you don’t just assume change is your tip. I don’t recommend you come here unless you want your money taken from you without permission
I ordered a number one cheeseburger with mustard, tater tot’s, and Dr Pepper. I chose to pay with my card and I hit no tip because I always paid tips in cash. When I got my order, Home, it had mayonnaise and ketchup on it and on the receipt, it said that I saved $1.18. This is pretty bad for the quality of food that I had and how do they know that I was not going to tip in cash I think that is really messed up that they told me I saved $1.18 because I didn’t tip on my card it’ll be a while before I go back here
This place needs a lesson in customer service. They got one from me. The food we ordered was incorrect. My wife wanted to just get our money back and go elsewhere. We stayed and sat in the car and sent each incorrect thing back till it was perfect. If I am paying for something I'm also paying to arbitrary. If you can't get it right then you need to do it over till you get it right. Some places forgot that and I don't have a problem reminding them.
Waited on our food for 25 minutes after it was done. We had to walk up and get it ourselves. Never going back! Only got drinks and cheese sticks!
Just awful. Disappointed in this place. Hoping it gets better. We don't have much to choose from here in Joshua when it comes to fast food. Fries are always soggy and not hot. I was hoping for some good hot fries when spending over $10 for a meal. And they are always out of something. The one star I gave is for the service via waitress/waiter always being friendly every time. They got that going for them. Let's work on the food please. TIA
It's 6/2024 now just left the Sonic in Joshua Texas oh my goodness she had so much trouble hearing me I have a loud voice how hard is it to put onions and mustard on my 6-in Coney I call her back and I tell her I need mustard and onions and can you please bring at least one napkin. Well it never came out so my food is getting cold. She walked out to the car and asked me what I needed I did tell her what I needed she went back inside the store and called me on the monitor and charged me for a whole nother order something is very wrong with that young lady that's working there I miss the people that were there a while back they were hard workers and they were not high
I placed an online pick up order, detailed on what we did and didn't want on our burgers, they obviously can't read there because both burgers weren't correct. Everytime I do an online pickup there its never correct, didn't know it was so hard to read an order
They got my order wrong and unfortunately I was too far away to go back and have it changed
I pulled in during happy hour the woman took my order but refused to give signature sauce when asked and when I tried to change the toppings on the number 7 (foot long hotdog) which is what I always order but I have it made all American style and she refused to change the toppings because I don't eat chillie on hot days so I ended up not ordering my food because they refused to do the extra work of pushing bottons on their computer and will only sell you what's on the menu as it is shown. This is ridiculous because I have order the same thing at this same sonic and multiple other sonics across a 50mile radius and have never had this problem.
No Customer service. Burgers were cold when brought out. Our order was forgotten and we knew this when we hit the red button over 20 minutes after placing our order and the girl asked what we ordered and replied "ohhh...." when she realized we were forgotten. I don't just leave bad reviews for establishments because we all have bad days. This establishment has a bad day every time I go there. So no more Joshua Sonic for me. Personally, I think the manager needs to be fired and replaced with someone who has some competence.
Sonic is always over priced but it should at least taste good and be made correctly which is something this location fails on often. Brought home a Sonic Cheeseburger and the bun was so hard I could have used it as a weapon. Last time we went they gave us black chicken... not the breading... the Chicken was BLACK.
The lady with the smug face, dirty blonde hair with the black and white vans is rude. Even with me leaving her a damn good tip on a 35$ order, she ignored me several times when I called ma'am. She looked Miserable, like she didn't want to be there and was just an absolute unprofessional. I definitely will not be coming back if this is a kind of service. I'm expected to receive when spending money at this establishment period
The last 4 times we have made a online order it has been wrong. Tonight we ask if they put the extra sauce we ordered and paid for. She looked in the bag and said yes it's all in there. Got home. Not in there and order was wrong. We are not going there anymore. Been getting food from this location for 10 plus years. Update gave them another try. I heard there were under new management. Entire order was wrong
typically pretty good but, hard bread on burgers, cold tots, missed jalapeños on one of the burgers, n burger patties taste microwaved, good ole bs i’ve never had so many issues with 1 order oh, and did i order ice with soda, or soda with ice, come on man

My family and I just moved to Joshua. Sonic has always been our favorite place to eat. I am a teacher in Mansfield, and on my way home from a long day at work, I stopped at Sonic to grab dinner. My son was in the car with me and really wanted his usual 2 corn dogs and tots meal. I ordered and waited at least a good 10 minutes before I received our food. I didn't mind waiting as the service up until now had been very friendly and fast. Plus, it was a Tuesday night. However, I became upset when I received our food and checked the bags. One of my son's corn dogs was not in the bag, and there was no gravy provided with my chicken tender meal. To really make things worse, when I pressed the red button and told the young lady the items were missing, she never once apologized for anything. All she said was we will have that out to you. So, I waited and waited and waited by this time our food was getting cold, and still no one ever came out to the car with the missing items that I paid for. So, I pushed the red button again, and the same young lady answered. I was frustrated by this time and told her I was still waiting to get my missing food items, and this time, she didn't say anything. So, I sat another 5 minutes before driving off without the food I paid for and no apology from anyone. My son and husband's food was cold when I got home, and microwave food doesn't taste the same as fresh hot food from the grill. We will not return and pay our hard earned money at this Sonic ever again. It doesn't matter how good your food is if your customer service isn't better than the food you serve, then all you have is good food and a recipe for disaster. You keep returning customers by providing top-notch customer service! Waiting for McDonald's to open up down the street, but until then, I will spend my money at Dairy Queen.

I called an employee and was talking to him, and while talking to him his attitude was rude and I as i said have a great night he rudely ended the call. It was not a pleasant time.
11/6/25 615 pm. Went here and pushed the button before being approached by an employee to take my order at my car and not through the machine. I finally got my order corrected because he couldn’t remember what I ordered. What I came home with was the worst coldest piece of garbage I’ve ever seen from sonic. The chili coney had stone cold chili and an abundance of onions. Do better this will not get many returning.
I'll never go there again. $6 for a fountain drink after tax and a $1 tip. You can get an entire meal at DQ for $7 plus tax ( burger, fries,drink, and sunday) Wendy's has $5 meal plus tax ( burger,fries, nuggets) and Sonic costs $6 for a fountain drink...lol sticking with 7-Eleven $ $2.50 drink of the same size. Sonics foods pretty gross anyway, every thing is usually burnt at this location.
Did an online order and get there and cars come and order and go way before us. The girl finally brings food out after giving it to wrong car and it wasn't all there we tell them about it and they bring us a chicken sandwich but instead of the double cheeseburger we paid for they gave us a kid's burger it was like 2 bites.
I got a hamburger and 4 corn dogs!! Waited 20 minutes. This is not the first time we had to wait. I won’t go back! Better get better service! Other fast food places are coming to Joshua.
Everytime I have had to come here to this location, I always end up regretting it. One cherry slush is all I've ever ordered and it never comes back right! Never enough ice but plenty of liquid and it tastes awful! Very disappointed! I will say one time I did go there and they did an excellent job but it was oddly only when I tipped enough to their liking. I hate to say their service is based on the tip you provide. The better the tip, the better the service you get sadly but I shouldn't have to tip a dollar on a 2.50 drink in order to get a decent drink.
3 days in a row & they can’t seem to get one drink order right. A Dr Pepper with cream is all I ask for. First time got a Dr Pepper with vanilla syrup , yesterday just a Dr Pepper, today I got a dirty Dr Pepper coconut & a lime !!! GROSSS. How hard is it to just do my order. Lol
Bad food. Order was completely messed up. Ordered blizzard but when it came 30 mins late they said no more forks. We waited in the lot for 35 mins.they completely forgot the mozzarella stick but brought the ranch.
Just charged me 30 dollars and then told me they couldn't serve me my order dueto some complications with equipment and the refused to refund my money to my card. Corporate said it couldn't refund me either! Just plain theft and poor training to employees. It is a simple POS transaction!
I came to get my son some food after school. I place an online order and wait for 30 mins, because they had several cars outside. So I didn’t want to be bothersome. Finally, I press the button and a young lady comes on and says “we’re closed”. I say “uh, we’ll I’ve paid for food”. She responds “sorry” and the red light goes out. I push again and say “I’ve paid for food and I’d like a refund”. The red light goes out again. So, I left. Not one person came out to say they were “closed”. Their online is still taking orders. Cars are wrapped around the place because nobody is being informed. Now I have to figure out how to get my money back. I’ll say, I usually don’t have any issues here. However, how things are handled when there is an issue is what matters. Go spend your money at Dairy Queen.
