Mimi is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever come across, and her skills truly shine at Giau’s Katy! I’ve been following her from place to place because she always delivers exceptional service, and Giau’s is no exception. Mimi’s attention to detail, creativity with cocktails, and warm personality make every visit memorable. Whether it’s a classic drink or one of her custom creations, she always knows how to mix the perfect cocktail. What makes the experience at Giau’s even better is the amazing music played by Edmond, which sets the perfect vibe for the night. The entire staff is energetic and welcoming, adding to the lively atmosphere. Not only do they have incredible cocktails, but the food is also top-notch — every dish I’ve tried has been delicious. If you're looking for a great night out with fantastic drinks, music, and service, Giau’s Katy is the place to be. And trust me, wherever Mimi is bartending, you’re guaranteed a great experience!

When not in town, this is the best place for food and drinks in Katy asian-town. Plus the staff are really great and super responsive.

If you like craft cocktails....go here. First time here, coming from another place that I ate at....so did not try food here. I had the Mojito and whiskey sour. Both were excellent. In fact the mojito was probably one of the best ones I have ever had. Benjamin, who was behind the bar, took a lot of care in preparing any drink he made. I could tell he took extreme pride in how he made his drinks. Drinks were excellent and cost about the same price as the place I had just eaten at (and were not even close to being as good). If you get a chance please check this place out.

We stumbled upon this place walking around Katy Asian town and it did not disappoint. Great for late night bites and a nice cocktail!

Hidden gem! Me and my husband had dinner there yesterday and it was amazing! We had: the rose tuna, ultimate fries, gyoza, shaken beef and a fresh kiwi juice. Everything was DELICIOUS. Definitely our new hot spot. Also great for social distancing.

Cozy little bar with the best bar bites on town! Really.., the food here is better than in most full scale restaurants. Also, the cost of food and drinks here are very reasonable. Absolutely no reason to look elsewhere if hungry out late or if you just want top chef quality eats. Now the service can be spotty but only because the waitresses can be a little non-observant but they are always cheerful and friendly. They do have a DJ on the weekends I believe which adds to the vibe. No real complaints.., don't sleep on this establishment!

This place is such a vibe! I’ve been here a few times with my friends and service has always been A1. I love coming here for the beef and macaroni, literally my favorite place to get this dish. They offer a lot of options for both food and drinks. The service is pretty spot on. The vibe is mostly casual and fun, so if you want a constant club vibe then maybe their bellaire location is a better option for you. I really can’t think of any negative experiences here. Definitely a good place to check out in you’re in the Katy are!

We gave this a shot and really enjoyed the food , staff was really nice and attentive. We just happened to join them when they were celebrating the lunar new year and it was so fun! Drinks were really good as well

We happened to stumble into this place. We were looking for a place to end the night that was close to where we were before and found this place! Looked at some of the pictures and took the chance and we are so happy we did. Outside it doesn't look like much but when you go inside super cool! The drink menu is great and extensive! We tried several and they were all so good! The bubbly pineapple is not only visually impressive, but it taste sooooo goooddd and fresh. It has passionfruit and the passion fruit seeds something that is not too common in drinks here in Texas. We will be back for sure to try more cocktails and food. My only complaint is that the music was club loud lol not bar loud and I had to scream to be able to talk to the person next to me and when ordering drinks I had to really scream lol.

Super aesthetic cocktails, and delicious too! My favorite was the kiwi breeze. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I loved the vibe and the music as well! We also ordered the mango and squid salad which turned out to be too spicy for me. Although some menu items were marked with a spice icon, this one wasn’t. And I admit I have a very low tolerance for spice, but it would’ve been nice if it was noted. It was still very tasty and flavorful though! And my other small complaint is that we were given plastic forks, which felt a bit out of place for the beautiful presentation and aesthetics of the bar.

Service was top-notch! We sat at the bar and every few minutes we had someone was checking in on us. The team here all had great personalities and were very engaged. The food was great and came out quickly. The drinks were even better! Alot of unique drinks that I've never tried before. This is definitely a great place take someone out for some food and drinks.

Every cocktail was specially crafted and James adds his signature at the end of most cocktails by heating the lemon, wringing it and rubbing it on the rim of the glass. Cocktails were simply delicious and the food was delicious. Even though they have a really good bar to hang out, this place is also great for family as the food here is really good and portion is generous too. Service was amazing. All the staff were very friendly here. My only problem with this place is why didn’t we discover this place sooner!!

If you’re here for drunken food. I would definitely recommend. Very light but tasty foods. Quail balut 5/5 Cute and petite. Love eating the reg balut but sometimes you just want something smaller. Oysters with masago 5/5 Pricey but my cravings got the best of me. If you add some soy sauce and sriracha, mmmm that thing can be addicting! Bo tai chanh (rare beef) 2/5 Liked the plating. Portion was good. Flavor was too sweet for my taste. Not enough lemon also for née. Curly fries 5/5 Good amounts. Good crunch. Mini eggrolls 5/5 Fave type of eggrolls. The fact that they are bite size is so cute.

The bartenders have been my very favorite from all the bars that I have tried in the last 3 years, Shout out to James for being amazing 👏🏽 . They have events that are definitely worth attending, so i strongly suggest following. An example would be anime night, with custom decor and signature drinks to match. I tried several docent items on the food and drink menu and was never disappointed. I will be back to try the oxtail hotpot!!

Last night at Giau in Katy Asiatown was a straight-up good time. No fancy words needed, just honest-to-goodness delicious food and friendly vibes. The Thai Hot Pot hit the spot. Rich broth, perfectly cooked veggies, and enough seafood to satisfy our late night appetite. The Crispy Intestine was a revelation – crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. It was the kind of dish you eat with a satisfied smile thinking, "Wow, that's actually good." (Specially with the house vinegar..trust me). And then there was the Balut - that extra special Filipino delicacy ! Unexpected, yes, but surprisingly perfect. You know how sometimes you're hesitant about trying something that you are not really sure if it is as good as back home, but then it blows your mind? That was GiAu's Balut - a real appreciation of its unique texture and taste. The service at Giau was just as good as the food. Friendly, attentive, and never pushy. They answered all our questions about the menu, even the ones about the more adventurous dishes. It was the kind of service that makes you feel welcome and comfortable, like you're hanging out with friends rather than just eating at a restaurant. So, yeah, Giau in Katy Asiatown? Definitely recommend. Good food, good vibes, and good service. What more could you ask for?

Nice place, nice service, nice food. And the open time is late enough for people who want to hang out at late night. Amazing drink menu. Avocado bomb, Squid mango salad and Thai hotpot are on the point.

What a fun place!! They have a live DJ, great food, and an energetic atmosphere! We came here for the food after an evening of beverages and the food was AMAZING! We will definitely be back!

Drinks were good. Food was ok. Kinda pricey for what it was but if you’re meeting up with someone for a conversation it’s very easy to talk. There is tons of seating for larger parties and multiple TVs throughout the space

I highly recommend checking this spot out! I decided to do an early dinner and drinks by myself and I don’t regret it at all. The staff was friendly, attentive, and gave amazing recommendations for food and drinks. I ordered their most popular drink, the Bubbly summer, a pineapple vodka drink that’s very IG worthy. It was good, cute and most importantly strong. However, the Kiwi breeze was by far one of the best drinks I ever had! It tasted just like a kiwi, seeds and all so refreshing!!! For food I ordered the bbq beef spring rolls just because. I am not a huge fan of spring rolls and this was just ok to me. The Fish sauce wings were amazing! They were the perfect balance of savory and sweet and were crispy and hot. I really enjoyed them. I finished my meal with the Mexican Lucas shooter and I wasn’t too crazy about it, but it was good. I’d definitely come back to grab drinks and apps, the music was great.

Tripped over this place after a nearby business had over a hour wait and was happy I came! The drinks were on point! Hate that I didn't get to try any of the food but I really appreciated the atmosphere. It's not a huge place so I could see how it would fill up quickly on a busy night. If you don't want to drive all the way into the city to get a good drink or have to wait forever at another place I would say put this place on your list of backups for sure.

I came there last Saturday night at 10pm. The ambiance and the music were nice, the food and drink were good too. But it took too too long for the drinks and food to come. More than 45’ for the drink and more than an hour for the food (just simple & quick bites). Hope that the management will resolve this, because it’s a nice place to drink & hang out with friends.

i love this place, i’ve been coming for 2 years but the way they close tabs is weird. they don’t like to separately charge customers and when they do they’re very weird about asking for an itemized receipt. they charged me $40 when it wasn’t an issues but the ticket said $60 when they already charged me $40. they charged my friend $77 but then charged her $56. so please don’t come here if you’re trying to split a tab. come when they do a tab all together. definitely worth it but not when you try to pay separately. other than that everything was amazing, the service, the food and the drinks were awesome!

The shrimp dish and beef dish were good here, but the souffle pancakes were not memorable. Service was nice though. A brother and sister duo worked the front, while their dad, and owner I believe, ran the back with a chef.

Came here for A party of 10 . We ordered skewers , ribs , fries and raw oysters . First food came out 35 min into being there . The rest of the food kept coming every 15 to 20 min . 3 of our friends ordered raw oysters . The oysters took 1 hours and they weren’t out . We had to go up to the bar and end up just canceling 2 of those orders because at this point everyone else was done eating . Server only came to check once in those 2 hrs there . And to top it off we couldn’t do split check . Not everyone wants to pay together FYI , overall food was good but service was horrible .

Nice little bar, nice music, nice ambience, nice screens. Food leaves a lot to be desired and bartenders are not attentive, even on a dead night you’ll sit waiting for a drink. They are quick to give you a glass of water (that you didn’t ask for) when you come in and sit at the bar, and disappear after giving you the water...... it’s a bar, I don’t think people sit at a bar to drink water. My second time here, came in, sat, no one acknowledged me, it wasn’t busy (seems to be the norm here), bar tenders talking to each other and taking shots with customers, so shocked I took a pic of the bartender who was eating from a customer’s plate and ignoring customers, well, they could be friends but who cares, cater to your customers before you feed yourself from a customer’s plate and take shots with them, so yes “owner” (who promised to do better and is still falling short) who responded to my previous review; that’s her in the pic: bogus bartender. What a ridiculous place. Then got served by a guy and as a soon as I was served a drink (13 minutes sitting ignored by bartenders in my face and bartenders chit chatting with each other and doing nothing) I was met with, “can I get a card” like I’ll drink and run! Who’s said I’m paying by card? What happened to “do you want to open a tab?” PATHETIC PLACE!!! I thought the first time was a one off, so I came back, but clearly this place is mediocre and I’ll never come back! 👎

I’m giving this place a 1 star because I never even got my food. I sat with a party and people were getting their orders one by one. I personally ordered the raw oysters. After TWO entire hours I did not receive my food. How does it take more than two hours to prepare RAW oysters? I would actually like an answer.
